In this paper, we present the methods to develop a Web-based CAM system that is capable to simulate machining processes in solid model form through internet. The methods include the dynamic representation on Web of machining operation, workpiece definition on the request of users, interpretation technique of NC par programs through CORBA, and algorithm for efficient machining simulation. Based on the methods, a Web-based CAM system it implemented at http://virtual.ulsan.ac.kr. Using the Web-based CAM system, public users tan simulate machining processes by own NC part programs.

As there comes out better and better solutions for delivering multimedia data on the internet, the number of WebCAM sites which transmits pictures of any spot to the user's system is getting increased. WebCAM service over the internet can be compared with the CATV in that it is beyond the spatial constraints. In this project, we construct a WebCAM site Which performs not only the fundamental WebCAM functions of capturing images and of transmitting them periodically but also various kinds of modules carrying out tasks such as image processing, remote control of the camera, processing multiple user requests, making panorama views and so on using Java which is the most popular language for the internet or CGI. The past images are stored in a database implemented for the WebCAM system, so the system can be extended to get over the constraints in time also.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 상황 인식 기술은 수집된 컨텍스트 정보를 효과적으로 구조화하여 표현하고, 이러한 컨텍스트 정보를 이용하여 사용자의 의도를 파악한 후, 서비스를 제공하는 기술 등의 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 상황 인식 컴퓨팅을 위한 프레임워크인 WS-CAM으로 명명된 웹 서비스에 기반한 상황 인식 미들웨어를 제안한다. WS-CAM은 온톨로지 기반의 컨텍스트 모델을 사용하여 다양한 종류의 컨텍스트 정보에 대한 충분한 표현력과 추론 기능을 제공하고, 미들웨어로부터 응용 서비스로의 컨텍스트 정보 전달에 있어서 웹 서비스를 적용하여 미들웨어 독립적인 응용 개발을 이룰 수 있는 구조로 설계한다. 또한, WS-CAM의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에 기반을 둔 강의 서비스 시나리오를 기술하고, 웹 서비스 기반의 장점을 보이기 위하여 미들웨어 독립적인 시스템 확장의 예를 보인다. 강의 서비스에 적용한 WS-CAM은 도메인 환경 내의 컨텍스트 정보를 OWL 기반 온톨로지 모델로 효과적으로 표현하였고, 사용자 정의 규칙에 의하여 고수준의 컨텍스트 정보로 추론됨을 확인하였다. 또한, 웹 서비스에 의해 제공되는 다양한 웹 메서드를 통하여 컨텍스트 정보가 응용 서비스에 미들웨어 독립적으로 전달됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

서비스 산업의 비중이 날로 높아지는 시기에 마케팅 전략 수립에 있어서 차별화된 서비스 품질 제공이 더욱 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 감시카메라 등으로 사용되면서 문제점만 부각되고 있는 웹카메라를 감시나 보안 등의 목적 외에 차별화된 서비스 품질 제공의 수단으로 활용되기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유치원/어린이집 학부모를 대상으로 WebCam에 의한 원격모니터링 서비스의 서비스 품질 구성요인에 대한 재구성 및 서비스 품질요인이 고객의 성향에 따라 어떻게 인식되는지에 대한 연구를 실시하였으며, WebCam에 의한 서비스 품질 구성요인이 고객만족 및 고객충성도에 주는 영향요인을 규명하였다. 이러한 변수 간의 상관관계와 영향 현상을 연구하기 위해 WebCam 원격모니터링 서비스를 사용하고 있는 유치원/어린이 집을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 연구결과 WebCam 모니터링 서비스 품질 구성요인을 영상품질 및 전송속도, 편의성, 이동성 및 휴대성, 가시성, 상호작용성, 신뢰성으로 설정하였으며, 그 중 영상품질 및 전송속도, 가시성, 상호작용성, 신뢰성이 고객만족 영향요인으로 나타났다. 고객특성 변수 중에서 불만대처성향, 혁신성, 디지털 기기 숙련도에 따라 서비스 품질 인식에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이러한 연구결과가 마케팅적으로 어떻게 활용될 수 있는가가 논의된다.

멀티미디어가 발달함에 딸 이를 위한 다양한 검색 기법들이 제안되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 WeCAM 시스템에서 비디오 검색을 하기 위한 텍스처 성분과 영상의 윤곽선 특징을 동시에 이용한 검색 기법을 제안한다. 텍스처 특성 추출에는 8$\times$8 블록 DCT를 기반으로한 DCT-par와 DCT-energy 기법을 적용하고 윤곽선 추출에는 DCT의 대각선 계수를 이용하는 기법을 이용한다. WebCAM으로 생성된 비디오는 MPEG표준을 따르는 것으로 가정하고 있으며, 압축된 데이터에 디코딩 과정없이 직접 검색 기법을 적용함으로써 처리 시간을 단축할수 있다는 장점이 있다.

본 논문에서는 웹카메라(WebCam)을 이용한 멀티미디어 보안시스템을 설계하고 이를 구현하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 최근 여러 분야에서 WebCam을 응용하여 다양하고 편리한 기능의 시스템을 구현하고, 이를 웹의 편리한 기능에 접목시켜 구조적이고 향상된 성능을 실현하고 있다. 멀티미디어 동영상은 고도의 자료압축 방식과 통신회선 속도의 향상 및 인터넷을 통한 다양한 서비스가 가능해지면서 기존의 보안시스템에 대한 성능향상을 목적으로 크게 변모하고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 보안시스템의 설계방식은 개방된 인터넷을 이용한 통신망 환경에서 보안시스템이 달성하고자 하는 목적을 위하여 웹의 활용성을 충분히 보여줄 수 있을 뿐 아니라 다양한 웹 서비스를 활용함으로써 기존의 것보다 뛰어난 응용성을 보장하는 형태이다. 실시간 멀티미디어 동영상 및 음성의 전송을 통한 현실감 있는 모니터링은 물론 다양한 방식으로 변환되는 정보 서비스와 멀티미디어 자료저장 및 추출을 통한 비실시간 감시 및 보안을 모두 실현할 수 있는 구조와 실현 시스템을 제시하는 것이다.

Objectives: Many countries have been using Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for treating cancer and it has been given more weight than before. This study aimed to look into its current status and perspective way to suggest the way which Korean oriental medicine goes to. Methods: We searched internet web sites that are relative with CAM in oncology parts and made lists for this study. We downloaded the essays in the form of electronic files in that web sites and copied the originals consulting to each libraries and relative institution. Results: North America was processing the standardization of CAM based evidences and China was making their traditional medicine representative medicine of CAM. India was developing their traditional medicine because of their domestic need and its results were recognized by National Cancer Institute (NCI). CAM was regulated and studied legally in Europe. Japan was using mushroom for immune therapy clinically. Mexico had a large scale of medical valley in Tijuana area and made it international. Conclusions: The efforts to develop and study CAM for treating cancer are increasing in the world. We need to know the current status of CAM in the world, and make our way that Korean oriental medicine goes to.

The information technology of computers and computer tools have become so powerful that virtual enterprises are not just concepts any longer The virtual enterprises comprise distributed facilities and it is necessary to have a collaborative system among them. This paper proposes the modeling process of web-based collaborative system in the distributed manufacturing environment. It also presents the information infrastructure in order to communicate and to share the information more efficiently among the collaboration subsystem. The web-based collaborative system consists of four processes: 1) product design, 2) procurement of DB information, 3) query process, and 4) negotiation. The proposed web-based collaborative system will be implemented with network technologies.

기존의 아날로그 방식의 카메라 감시 시스템은 활용 거리와 데이터를 저장하기 위해 필요한 총간의 제약으로 인해 다양한 응용 시스템으로 개발되는데 많은 제약이 있었다. 그러나, 네트워크과 컴퓨터 기술의 발전으로 카메라 감시 시스템은 웹 브라우저를 사용하여 공간적인 제약 없이 원격으로 제어 될 수 있게 되었다. 뿐만 아니라, 디지털 데이터 압축 기술 및 관리 기술을 이용하여, 많은 양의 데이터를 효율적으로 처리하고 저장하고 인출할 수 있게 되었다. 본고에서는 인덱스 탐색 알고리듬이라는 효율적인 데이터베이스 관리 및 검색 방식을 사용한 원격 카메라 감시 시스템을 제시하고 움직임 탐지의 효율적인 알고리듬을 제안한다. 이 새로운 알고리듬을 이용하여 웹캠이라 불리는 리눅스 기반 시스템을 개발하였고, 사용자 인증을 통해 원격지에서 동시에 여러 대의 카메라를 제어하고, 카메라를 통해 얻어진 디지털 이미지 및 탐색 로그를 저장 및 재생할 수 있는 실용적인 원격 카메라 보안 시스템을 제시한다.
