Design and Implementation of Thin Client SVG Map Service System for LBS (LBS를 위한 서버기반 SVG Map 서비스 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, many WMS(Web Mapping Services) and POI(Point of Interest) service on to be in service on the Internet using Web CIS(Geographic Information System) as information Technology and computer HW are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by LBS(Location Based Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment, we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.

Constructing a Large Interlinked Ontology Network for the Web of Data (데이터의 웹을 위한 상호연결된 대규모 온톨로지 네트워크 구축)

  • This paper presents a method of constructing a large interlinked ontology network for the Web of Data through the mapping among typical ontologies. When an ontology is open to the public, and more easily shared and used by people, its value is increased more and more. By linking CoreOnto, an IT core ontology constructed in Korea, to the worldwide ontology network, CoreOnto can be open to abroad and enhanced its usability. YAGO is an ontology constructed by combining category information of Wikipedia and taxonomy of WordNet, and used as the backbone of DBpedia, an ontology constructed by analyzing Wikipedia structure. So a mapping method is suggested by linking CoreOnto to YAGO and DBpedia through the synset of WordNet.

  • Recently, various daylight evaluation methods for visual environment have been developed; simulation analysis methods, numerical calculation, and data monitoring methods. However, it is impossible for simulation analysis to make real scenes and visualize real images exactly. Also, a numerical calculation is considered as an out of date and time-consuming mean. Therefore, for acquisition of accurate results, many studies often use the monitoring data methods. Especially, most studies regarding discomfort glare are evaluated by measuring the physical quantity of luminance through traditional measuring Minolta Luminance meters as an instrument. But, this method has a difficulty in measuring several points at the same time because of the limitation of spaces and time when mapping. So, this study focused on the potential usefulness of High Dynamic Range photography technique as a luminance mapping tool. In order to evaluate the accuracy of proposed programs such as webHDR, Photomatix and PHOTOLUX, this paper has conducted an experiment by using Canon EOS 5D and NICON Coolpix8400 digital camera.

  • 인터넷과 WWW 이용의 급속한 증가로 인하여 인터넷 지리정보시스템의 보급이 확산되었다. 따라서 국내외의 분산된 다양한 데이터에 대한 접근이 가능하게 되었다. 하지만 웹을 통해 제공되어지는 지리정보 데이터의 이질성 때문에 지리정보를 공유하기가 어렵다. 그러므로 발생하는 데이터 구축에 대한 중복투자를 제거하고 지리정보 데이터의 상호 운용성(Interoperability)을 위해 본 논문에서 OGC(OpenGIS Consortium)의 웹 매핑 표준 기술인 WMT(Web Mapping Testbed)의 OWS(OGC Web Service)에 기반 하여 Web 매핑 서버를 설계 및 구현하였다. 이는 인터넷상에서 데이터 공유 및 교환의 포맷인 XML 에 근간을 둔 GML 을 통해서 Web GIS환경에서의 상호운용성을 제공하고자 한다.

Ontology Mapping and Rule-Based Inference for Learning Resource Integration

  • With the increasing demand for interoperability among existing learning resource systems in order to enable the sharing of learning resources, such resources need to be annotated with ontologies that use different metadata standards. These different ontologies must be reconciled through ontology mediation, so as to cope with information heterogeneity problems, such as semantic and structural conflicts. In this paper, we propose an ontology-mapping technique using Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) to generate semantic mapping rules that integrate learning resources from different systems and that cope with semantic and structural conflicts. Reasoning rules are defined to support a semantic search for heterogeneous learning resources, which are deduced by rule-based inference. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach enables the integration of learning resources originating from multiple sources and helps users to search across heterogeneous learning resource systems.

  • 최근 소위 Web 2.0 개념을 채택하는 다양한 웹 서비스 시스템구축이 보편화되면서 웹 검색 기능을 이용하는 일반 사용자나 전문 사용자에게 사용자 친화적이고 보다 빠른 성능의 웹 어플리케이션이 제공되고 있다. 참여와 공유를 목적으로 하는 Web 2.0 패러다임을 Web Happing이나 Web GIS 어플리케이션과 연계하는 연구나 기술 개발 분야도 중요한 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 특히 국내외적으로 실질적인 웹 컴퓨팅 기술과 연계되는 개방형 매핑 API를 이용한 매쉬업 어플리케이션 개발의 필요성과 산업적 수요는 급격히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 배경을 바탕으로 하여 Google Map API를 이용한 공간정보 저작 매쉬업(Mashup) 어플리케이션을 시험 개발하고자 한다. 구현 결과로 별도의 Web GIS 웹 서버와 데이터베이스 서버에 대한 권한이 없어도 웹 클라이언트상에서 일반 웹 사용자가 Google Mapping 서버를 이용하여 자신의 공간정보를 직접 제작이 가능하도록 하였다.

An RDB to RDF Mapping System Considering Semantic Relations of RDB Components (관계형 데이터베이스 구성 요소의 의미 관계를 고려한 RDB to RDF 매핑 시스템)

  • For the expansion of the Semantic Web, studies in converting the data stored in the relational database into the ontology are actively in process. Such studies mainly use an RDB to RDF mapping model, the model to map relational database components to RDF components. However, pre-proposed mapping models have got different expression modes and these damage the accessibility and reusability of the users. As a consequence, the necessity of the standardized mapping language was raised and the W3C suggested the R2RML as the standard mapping language for the RDB to RDF model. The R2RML has a characteristic that converts only the relational database schema data to RDF. For the same reasons above, the ontology about the relation data between table name and column name of the relational database cannot be added. In this paper, we propose an RDB to RDF mapping system considering semantic relations of RDB components in order to solve the above issue. The proposed system generates the mapping data by adding the RDFS attribute data into the schema data defined by the R2RML in the relational database. This mapping data converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF which includes the RDFS attribute data. In this paper, we implement the proposed system as a Java-based prototype, perform the experiment which converts the data stored in the relational database into RDF for the comparison evaluation purpose and compare the results against D2RQ, RDBToOnto and Morph. The proposed system expresses semantic relations which has richer converted ontology than any other studies and shows the best performance in data conversion time.

  • Current web search includes a lot of different results with information that user does not want, because it searches information using keyword mapping. Ontology can describe the correct meaning of web resource and relationships between web resources. And we can extract suitable information that user wants using Ontology Accordingly, we need the ontology to represent knowledge. W3C announced OWL(Web Ontology Language), meaning description technology for such web resource. However, the development of a special tool that can effectively compose and edit OWL is inactive. In this paper, we designed and developed an OWL authoring system that can effectively provide the generation and edit about OWL.

  • MTF message is the normalized and standardized format which is used in the time when it tries to transmit data to other systems or exchanges needed information in defense message systems. XML can support variety of search functionality and is estimated to be the best way from the view of efficient presentation and exchange in internet based environment, based on advantage which is independent of hardware and software. US army brought in XML-MTF combining with XML based technology, but we do not contain such a MTF system, and necessity of MTF is increasing for combined operation between ROK and US as a lot of C4I system were transferred to Web based systems. In this paper, we make analysis of fundamental structure, organization of paragraph, witting regulation of MTF message. We present the rule of naming element and fundamental mapping rule for transformation of its XML based on it. Also, we prove that MTF message can be transformed to XML document by trying to transforming sample documents to XML document applying presented mapping rule, creating MTF message based on it and implement program which can automatically transform them to XML-MTF.

  • K-Means and Web mining modelling have been tried for finding major DNA marker of BM4311 microsatellite loci in Hanwoo Chromosome 6 linkage map. Furthermore, a major DNA mining by bootstrap simulations(BCa) has been applied.
