The recent Web service field emerges as the fastest growing IT paradigm as a result of the increasing interest in SOA (Services-Oriented Architecture) and the expansion of B2B market. With an increasing number of Web service that provide similar features, it becomes more important to provide the most appropriate service for the user's request. A service user in general requires the quality information of Web service when selecting a service among a number of similar Web services. Yet, finding a service through UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) does not consider the non-functional aspects of users because it is only based on the functional aspects. That is, the quality, non-functional aspect will be an important factor for the mutual success of the user and provider. Using 3 factors in the Qos factors of the existing studies: the execution cost, reliability, and the quality level, the QoS of Web service is saved and the factors for the QoS are recorded in order to consider non-functional factors when selecting a Web service in this study. The Quality Broker determines the rank and shows the desired result of the service for users. The Quality Broker suggested in this thesis can be used to select a Web Service that considers the user-oriented and non-functional factors.

Nowadays, in many mobile device environment, while the demand for using web service is increasing, there are many limitations on web-browsing in wireless network because of various restrictions and problems in reality. We need improvement in function of mobile web service engine because we can't be satisfied with the multiple demands by using previous capacity of web server in rapidly changing web environment. Therefore, this paper improves the service environment for web service users by introducing intermediary technology to web service. This paper embodies intermediary based web service framework for improvement of the function of mobile web service and for the interoperability of mobile device and web server.

The World Wide Web (WWW) has continued to grow at very rapid speed in both the sheer volume of traffic and size and the complexity of Web sites. Web Analytics Industry also has been growing rapidly. Web Analytics is to analyze web log files to discover accessing patterns of web pages. In this paper, we identify factors which can affect the continuous usage intention of a firm using services in web analytics services and empirically validate the relationships between the identified factors. For this purpose, we analyze 174 Korea firms. The analysis results show that the satisfaction is significantly associated with service quality and switching cost and the service usage period is not significantly associated with continuous service usage intention. We measure the service quality using SERVQUAL. It turn out that two dimensions of SERVQUAL, reliability and empathy are significantly associated with satisfaction, but another dimension of SERVQUAL, responsibility, is not. Finally, satisfaction is significantly associated with continuous service usage intention.

Web service technology will be used in various business fields and it will affect business paradigms. But, however, there is no standard so far and we have many problems to be solved in order to insure interoperability and security. Especially we have to solve Web service security for effective utilization of the technology and otherwise, the technology will not be used in the business field. We, therefore, need to develope security technology which fits to the Web service characteristics. This document describes a proposed strategy for addressing security within a Web service environment based on the results of analysis on the Web service security problems.

This study focused on realizing the UX pattern elements for Wordpress service, and applying the UX pattern approach to enhance UX consideration in Wordpress theme service. The Wordpress UX pattern system was developed based on web UX pattern analysis, and on characteristics of Wordpress components and theme filtering tags. The Wordpress UX pattern system was further analyzed in 22 popular Wordpress themes and 20 web UX scenarios, to evaluate its working by defining theme UX as a case study. The Wordpress theme filtering service GUI was designed based on the Wordpress UX pattern system as a design suggestion. Web technology is evolving rapidly, and web design has become a ready-made service with less user experience consideration, or design creativity. This study directs to keep track of UX value in an emerging web service paradigm.

The World Wide Web is transitioning from being a mere collection of documents that contain useful information toward providing a collection of services that perform useful tasks. The emerging Web service technology has been envisioned as the next technological wave and is expected to play an important role in this recent transformation of the Web. By providing interoperable interface standards for application-to-application communication, Web services can be combined with component based software development to promote application interaction both within and across enterprises. To make Web services for service-oriented computing operational, it is important that Web service repositories not only be well-structured but also provide efficient tools for developers to find reusable Web service components that meet their needs. As the potential of Web services for service-oriented computing is being widely recognized, the demand for effective Web service discovery mechanisms is concomitantly growing. A number of public Web service repositories have been proposed, but the Web service taxonomy generation has not been satisfactorily addressed. Unfortunately, most existing Web service taxonomies are either too rudimentary to be useful or too hard to be maintained. In this paper, we propose a Web service taxonomy generation framework that combines an artificial neural network based clustering techniques with descriptive label generating and leverages the semantics of the XML-based service specification in WSDL documents. We believe that this is one of the first attempts at applying data mining techniques in the Web service discovery domain. We have developed a prototype system based on the proposed framework using an unsupervised artificial neural network and empirically evaluated the proposed approach and tool using real Web service descriptions drawn from operational Web service repositories. We report on some preliminary results demonstrating the efficacy of the proposed approach.

The Rich Communication Service(RCS) is a next generation mobile messaging service. Since it has been developed and managed by a wireless service provider, 3rd party application developers cannot utilize the RCS features in their apps. A few studies have been proposed to solve this problem, even though they were not viable level of deployment. This paper presents a Web-based Rich Communication Service Software Framework(WebRSF) to help the 3rd party application developers adopt RCS features easily. WebRSF converts complicated RCS protocols to simple web-based protocols for providing the RCS 1-to-1 chat service to the 3rd parties. Communication protocols between WebRSF and its clients are defined in this paper. Also, a network configuration diagram and a message flow diagram are defined. Finally, performance evaluation between the WebRSF client and the RCS client are performed to simulate the load on clients' devices. It shows that the WebRSF client has 17% less loads than the RCS client while initiating sessions, and has 25% more loads after initiating sessions.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing consumers' selection of web-toon service through AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) analysis and to provide the strategy of web-toon service. To accomplish this study, theories, existing research and references related to AHP were sufficiently examined and selected the factors in the selection criteria. Surveys from consumers who used the web-toon service were conducted with selected factors. Through this, the results were analyzed by AHP analysis to find out the weighting values and the differences were examined and analyzed. The highest weighting factor in the first layer that consists of web-toon service was cinematic quality. The cinematic quality was the most important factor in the selection criteria of customers who use the web-toon service regardless of their preferred genre. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the weighting value or ranking changed in the second layer by genre. In this study, the effective basis of strategy were suggested by ranking the quantitative selection factors according to the preferred genre of consumers using web-toon services. In addition, This research provides some practical implications. That is, the web-toon service provider can easily recognize and respond to the customer's requirements, which factors are important when the customer selects a specific genre from the web-toon genre.

The Web Services infrastructure is a distributed computing environment for service-sharing. Mechanisms for Web services Discovery proposed so far have assumed a centralized and peer-to-peer (P2P) registry. A discovery service with centralized architecture, such as UDDI, restricts the scalability of this environment, induces performance bottleneck and may result in single points of failure. A discovery service with P2P architecture enables a scalable and an efficient ubiquities web service discovery service that needs to be run in self-organized fashions. In this paper, we propose an autonomic -interleaving Registry Overlay Network (RgON) that enables web-services' providers/consumers to publish/discover services' advertisements, WSDL documents. The RgON, doubtless empowers consumers to discover web services associated with these advertisements within constant D logical hops over constant K physical hops with reasonable storage and bandwidth utilization as shown through simulation.

As information technology had shown tremendous development in late 20th century, various service opportunities appeared in many industries. Also, new types of service are becoming available such as, reservation, teleconsultation, telemedicine. In health care industry, in which, many hospitals are faced operational difficulties and competing impetuously, a web site has become a effective tool to attract patients and transfer tremendous health information to the patients. This study is based on many previous researches on online service quality, try to figure out e-service quality factors of health information sites, and the factors' effect on users' satisfaction on the web site via providing knowledge and trust on the web site. As a result, usability, site aesthetic, responsiveness and security are the 4 factors to measure e-service quality of health information web site. All factors except site aesthetic have significant effects on providing knowledge, security only effects on trust on the web site.
