We are focusing on an approach which handle a general Web as a resource in order to support self-directed learning for a student. Then, we are developing a Web based learning environment "Web-Retracer"for utilizing Web as teaching materials by a user′s Annotation. Although the learner can share the Web resource that the others utilized in this environment, Web resources unsuitable for a student′s needs becomes hindrance about her/his self-directed learning. In this paper, we propose a recommending method of the resource united with a student′s needs on the basis of a student′s learning and Web browsing history. This method analyzed the feature peculiar to a resource, and extracts the resource with which the needs of the feature and a student agreed.

Modern web services have been broadly deployed on the Internet. Most of these services use multi-tier architecture for flexible scaling and software reusability. However, managing the performance of multi-tier web services under dynamic and unpredictable workload, and different resource demands in each tier is a critical problem for a service provider. When offering quality of service assurance with least resource usage costs, web service providers should adopt self-adaptive resource provisioning in each tier. Recently, a number of rule- and model-based approaches have been designed for dynamic resource management in virtualized data centers. This survey investigates the challenges of resource provisioning and provides a competing assessment on the existing approaches. After the evaluation of their benefits and drawbacks, the new research direction to improve the efficiency of resource management and recommendations are introduced.

최근 모든 사물을 인터넷에 연결하는 IoT(Internet of Things)에서 사물 간의 데이터를 전송하는 통신 프로토콜에 대한 표준화가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 기반의 IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) CoAP(Constrained Application Protocol)을 이용한 실내 IoT 자원 제어 서비스를 설계하고 구현한다. 이를 위해 웹 서버에서 프록시(proxy)와 RD(Resource Directory) 기능을 갖는 웹 기반의 실내 IoT 자원 제어 구조를 제시한다. 실내 IoT 자원 제어 서비스에서는 CoAP 프로토콜을 통해 실내 IoT 자원을 웹 서버에 등록하고, 프록시의 HTTP과 CoAP메시지 변환 기능을 이용하여 인터넷 상에서 웹 클라이언트와 IoT 자원 간 통신을 지원하고, 사용자가 웹 브라우즈를 이용하여 실내 환경을 모니터링하고 제어할 수 있도록 한다.

최근 차세대 웹으로 시맨틱 웹 (Semantic Web)이 부각되고 있다. 기존 웹 서비스와는 달리 시맨틱 웹상에서는 정보 리소스들의 의미가 정의되어 있고, 이들간의 의미적 연결을 지원한다. 시맨틱 웹에서는 이런 의미적 연결성을 지원하기 위해 RDF를 사용한다. RDF (Resource Description Framework)는 웹 리소스들의 메타데이타를 표현하기 위한 데이터 모델로서, 개념상 RDF는 웹 서비스 메타데이타인 WSDL (Web Se.vice Desc.iption Language)과 매우 유사하다. 본 논문에서는 RDF 데이터를 WSDL과 통합하여 효율적인 검색 방법과 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 RDF 설계 방법을 제안하고 있다. 제안한 설계 방법은 기존 방법보다 나은 성능을 보여준다.

각종 정보원이 웹으로 제공되는 것이 보편화되어 있는 현실에서 웹자원은 단순한 정보제공 차원을 뛰어 넘어 실물 장서와 같이 체계적인 관리과 이용의 대상으로 인식되어야 한다. 웹기반 장서개발을 위해서는 표준화된 웹자원 평가요소의 확립이 시급한데, 웹자원 평가요소로는 일반적으로 권위성, 신뢰성, 내용의 성실성, 기능성, 연결성, 접근성, 구조 및 디자인, 링크사항, 이용자 지원 및 보호 등이 거론되고 있다. 그러나 효과적인 장서개발을 위해서는 웹자원의 유형별 특성을 감안하여 특정 평가요소를 강조하거나 포함하는 유연성이 필요하다. 또한 디지털 도서관의 웹자원 기반 장서개발 전략을 위해서 가치, 요구, 중복 방지, 지적 재산권, 지적 통제 평가기준은 면밀히 검토되어야 한다. 웹자원 평가의 객관성과 일관성을 위해 선정위원회를 조직하거나 웹환경 장서개발 모형을 개발하는 것, 다른 디지털 도서관과의 협력을 증진시켜 새로운 기준, 프로토콜, 마크업(markups), 메타데이터 등을 공유하게 하는 것, 이용자 중심의 장서개발을 위해 노력하는 것 등은 더 나은 웹자원 장서개발을 위한 또 다른 전략으로 제시되었다.

NGN은 QoS가 지원되는 광 대역 전달 망에서 세션 및 비-세션 서비스를 지원하기 위한 패킷 기반의 융합 망이다. NGN의 RACF(Resource and Admission Control Functions)는 전송망의 토폴로지 및 자일 상태 정보곤 수집하기 위하여 COPS와 SNMP를 자원 관리 프로토콜로 고려하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 NGN 전송 층의 토폴로지 및 자원 상태 관리를 위한 요구 사항을 정의하며 자원 제어 프로토콜에서 정의되는 데이터 모델들의 일관성을 유지하기 위해 프로토콜 중립적인 정보 모델을 제안한다. 또한, UML로 기술된 정보 모델을 이용하여 웹 서비스 기반의 NGN 자원 관리 시스템을 선계 및 구현하였다.

This study proposes web-based authoring system for the lecturers who published textbooks by inserting external open resource. When lecturer publishes textbooks, the system makes it easier to utilize external resources by providing an open resource pool that the lecturer can search not only his own resources but external resources. In addition, we designed an open resource pool based on Original Contents Tracing Model to check whether the scrapped resource is changed or not in the future. Open Resource Pool allows inserting text, images and videos by searching multimedia, and stores metadata for the follow-up management. We made the system to determine the change of the resource using the metadata stored in the tracking system. Through this research, we confirmed that it is possible to publish textbooks by utilizing a variety of open resources on the web and revise the book by tracing the scrapped resources.

The parallel corpus is an important resource in the research field of data-driven natural language processing, but there are only a few parallel corpora publicly available nowadays, mostly due to the high labor force needed to construct this kind of resource. A novel strategy is brought out to automatically fetch parallel text from the web in this paper, which may help to solve the problem of the lack of parallel corpora with high quality. The system we develop first downloads the web pages from certain hosts. Then candidate parallel page pairs are prepared from the page set based on the outer features of the web pages. The candidate page pairs are evaluated in the last step in which the sentences in the candidate web page pairs are extracted and aligned first, and then the similarity of the two web pages is evaluate based on the similarities of the aligned sentences. The experiments towards a multilingual web site show the satisfactory performance of the system.

In 2007, Google has introduced a novel approach to model some cities from around the world by utilizing vast amount of information provided by internet users. They essentially built an efficient engine to collect and compile enormous stream of data that are necessary to reproduce fine details of a city. In this Letter, we propose an implementation of this novel approach to establish a Web-based visualization of rural landscape and scenery. We later demonstrate its feasibility by constructing a 3D model of Namsa-ri, Danseong-myeon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.

It is important that desktop grids should be able to aggressively deal with the dynamic properties that arise from the volatility and heterogeneity of resources. Therefore, it is required that task scheduling be able to positively consider the execution behavior that is characterized by an individual resource. In this paper, we implement a log analysis system with REST web services, which can analyze the execution behavior by utilizing the actual log data of desktop grid systems. To verify the log analysis system, we conducted simulations and showed that the resource group-based task scheduling, based on the analysis of the execution behavior, offers a faster turnaround time than the existing one even if few resources are used.
