Purpose Wearable devices are widely used in our daily life. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between persuasive designs of fitness trackers and users' physical activity behavior. Methods To test the research model, data was collected from a web-based survey in China, resulting in an effective sample of 166 usable questionnaires. The survey was restricted only to respondents who wear a fitness tracker. Results The sample surveyed in this study indicated that half of the respondents had been wearing a smart fitness tracker shorter than one year, and only 27% were long-time users (longer than two years). Dialogue support and social support strategies were both proved to be effective in increasing users' workout behavior intention. Social support strategies had a greater effect on behavior change than dialogue support strategies. Conclusion The findings from this study make several contributions to the practice. Wearable devices developers can employ the result from this study to help them design devices, which can persuade people to do more exercises and preserve a healthier life.

최근 모바일 기기가 활성화되면서 자바스크립트의 성능 향상이 이슈가 되고 있다. 적시 컴파일러를 탑재한 자바스크립트 엔진들이 등장하면서 이러한 요구를 충족하고 있다. 대표적 웹 브라우징 엔진인 WebKit의 자바스크립트 엔진인 SquirrelFish Extreme(SFX)는 콘텍스트 쓰레딩 방식의 적시 컴파일러를 사용하고 있다. 하지만 모바일 환경에서의 성능은 여전히 문제가 된다. 모바일 환경에서 많이 사용되는 ARM CPU를 위한 SFX의 적시 컴파일러는 가상 레지스터를 머신 코드에서 사용하기 위해 많은 수의 메모리 로드와 스토어를 사용하고 있다. 또한 ARM 아키텍처가 제공하는 레지스터를 제대로 사용하지 못하고 사용되지 않는 레지스터가 존재하고 있다. 사용되지 않는 레지스터를 활용하여 메모리 로드와 스토어를 줄이는 레지스터 프로모션을 적용하였다. 루프에서 머신 코드로 수행되는 바이트 코드를 중심으로 가상레지스터를 실제 머신 레지스터로 할당하여 메모리 로드와 스토어를 줄이고 일부 벤치마크에서 성능향상이 나타남을 확인 했다. 레지스터 프로모션의 효과를 더 증대하기 위해 레지스터 프로모션의 범위를 함수 전체로 넓히고 핸들러 함수 호출에서 발생하는 오버헤드를 줄이는 최적화가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

The economic growth that depended on IT industry is reaching to a limit. In order to overcome the limit, the convergence industry that makes new market and products is essential. However, companies preparing a jump into the convergence industry must understand the exact visions and characteristics of convergence. Therefore, we investigated the structural changes of industries caused by convergence and importance characteristics of convergence. Also, we demonstrated the current status of the convergence industry and analyzed economical, social/cultural, and technological environments that the companies are facing, and elaborated the opportunities of convergence. At last, we suggested basic requirements and strategies for companies starting a convergence business and IT utilization methods to accelerate the convergence business activation.

Recycle fashion is suggested to the suitable alternative of the environmental problem and the exhaustion of natural resources. The purpose of this study is focused on trying to comprehend between design characteristics and aesthetic values of recycle fashion design and those from fashion brands, fashion designers, and the public. For such purpose, 1553 photos of recycle fashion design which appeared in web-site, newspaper, fashion magazines between 2002 and 2007 were analyzed. Method of analysis did content analysis. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. First, design characteristics of recycle fashion were expressed by Junk Recycle Look, Vintage Recycle Look, Contemporary Recycle Look, Artisanal Recycle Look. Second, the expression methods of recycle fashion were presented reuse, reform, and regeneration. Third, aesthetic values of recycle fashion can be explained by the promotion of environment, the variableness, and the deconstruction.

This paper describes the design and trial development of a system that supports continuous hazard mapping by local residents in their daily life. We performed an interview survey to design our system in a model traditional town in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The results show that despite continued efforts, many practical problems remain and residents feel unsafe. Considering these results, we designed and developed a unique information and communication technology-based support system that contributes to community-based disaster prevention and reduction. The continuous resident participation and posting design are the core concept for our community-based approach. Our system continues to support making a hazard map by integrating the community-based hazard information. Local residents register information (disaster types, risk level, photographs, comments, positional information) about locations that could be dangerous in a disaster. In addition, our system enables information sharing through a Web server. We expect that this information sharing will allow local hazard information for each district to be used.

Purpose: The study was performed in order to identify the relationship between health behaviors and Internet use among adolescents. Methods: The study used raw data from the Korean Youth Risk Behavior Web-Based Survey that was performed in 2012. Data of a total of 74,186 students were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 18. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and Pearson's correlation. Results: Internet use and health behaviors were significantly related to gender, depression, suicidal intent, parents' educational level, cohabitation with parents at home, school location, and grade. There was a significant association between Internet use and health behaviors in adolescents. Conclusion: Health promotion and education programs need to consider factors found relevant in this study.

Consequently foodservice enterprise which is establishing their homepage in the web site for marketing purpose and direct application of restaurant management had been increased at recently for the restaurant's publicity, raising their image. The purpose of this study is to examine the feasibilities of internet application in the foodservice industry. Now the generation who most use the internet went into gear the generation of main consumers out of foodservice industry. Also teenagers who occupied the most portions of using internet are able to be the most important potential customer at present or in the near future. Therefore if marketing activity is recognized for this potential customer, it will be more effective than any other way to promotion.

Recent development of IT industry including smart phones and communication technologies has resulted in rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and relevant markets. The access to IoT is becoming easier thanks to the boards and IoT products, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Large-scale business sites use IoT technology to manage inventories, but small-scale business sites do not. In the present study, We ported Linux-based Raspbian to Raspberry Pi, It utilizes web server communication to control the Arduino through the application We used a color sensor to figure out the kind of inventory. We also built a database using MySQL to store the data. We used raspberry pi to check whether the proposed system works and apply it to small-scale business.

In this study, we attempted to identify the personality traits that influence one's likelihood to stalk an ex-partner on Facebook. Specifically, we focused on self-concept-related traits, given that the motivations for using social network sites (SNS) are highly associated with the concept of self. These include self-esteem, narcissism, and self-efficacy. To assess these factors, we controlled for extraneous variables while assessing the predictive power of personality traits, such as Facebook usage, length of the relationship, and time since the break-up. The results of a self-administered, web-based survey (N=207) showed that self-esteem, narcissism, and self-efficacy are all traits that can predict the stalking of an ex-partner on Facebook. More specifically, we showed a negative association between self-esteem and one's likelihood to stalk an ex-partner on Facebook, while it showed positive relationships between Facebook stalking and both narcissism and self-efficacy.
