Web services and their composition (web processes) are promising technologies to efficiently integrate disparate software components over various types of systems. As many web services are nowadays available on Internet, quality of services (QoS) and performance/cost become increasingly important to differentiating between similar service providers. In this work, we introduce sPAC (Web Services Performance Analysis Centre) and show how customers can benefit from sPAC to consider performance in composing and commercializing web services. sPAC 1) helps users to graphically describe the workflow of web services, 2) invokes web services to test out performance for light load conditions, 3) automatically converts the web services and the flow between them into a simulation model, 4) conducts extensive simulations for heavy load conditions and various usage patterns, and 5) reports analysis results and estimation data for the web services.

Since microarray data structures are various and complicative, the data are generally stored in databases for approaching to and controlling the data effectively. But we have some difficulties to analyze and control the data when the data are stored in the several database management systems. The existing analysis tools for DNA microarray data have many difficult problems by complicated instructions, and dependency on data types and operating system, and high cost, etc. In this paper, we design and implement the web-based analysis tool for obtaining to useful information from DNA microarray data. When we use this tool, we can analyze effectively DNA microarray data without special knowledge and education for data types and analytical methods.

디지털 자원의 장기보존을 위한 기법과 전략은 지속적인 관심 속에서 개발되어 오고 있다. 특히, 웹 자원에 대한 의존도가 증폭될수록 웹 아카이빙에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 IIPC에서 제시하는 웹 아카이빙 체인의 네 단계에 해당하는 각 단계별 웹 아카이빙 툴과 그 특성을 살펴보았다. 대상이 되는 웹 아카이빙 도구는 총 9개로서, Heritrix, DeepArc, Web Curator Tool, NetarchiveSuite, BnFArcTools, Wayback, NutchWAX, WERA 그리고 Xinq 등이다.

A web site focused on a specific product brand so called product-brand web site has become one major marketing tool as such product-brand web site provides chances for customers to experience the detailed information of the specific brand as well as emphatic the image of the brand. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of the product-brand web site on the formation of attitude toward the product brand. Subjects of this study are users of two web sites of leading sanitary product brands. The result shows that not only emotion, playfulness and convenience perceived from the web site but also existing attitude toward the brand influence the attitude toward the web site. Further, the attitude toward the web site in turn affects attitude toward the image of the brand. The importance of this study is in its conceptualization and empirical verification of the relationship between the product-brand web site and the reputation of a brand.

건설공사의 일정관리는 주어진 기간 내에 프로젝트를 완수하기 위한 중요한 수단이다. 액티비티의 수가 많아지고 복잡한 선후행 관계가 형성될수록 일정관리 소프트웨어를 활용해야 하는 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 또한 정보통신기술이 발달하면서 웹기반의 프로젝트관리 기술과 도구도 발전하고 있고 다수의 프로그램도 개발되어 있다. 본 연구는 웹 기반에서 일정관리 도구를 개발하기 위해 상호작용성이 우수한 플래시를 이용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 구현하기 위해 플래시와 액션스크립트로 프로토타입을 작성하였고 웹 화면에서 공정표를 표현하여 적용성을 검토하였다.

공공기관에 산재되어 있는 홈페이지들의 컨텐츠와 보안정책을 효과적으로 유지관리하기 위해서는 체계적인 방안과 관리 할 수 있는 시스템의 구현이 필요하다. 사용자들은 신뢰성 있는 시스템에 손쉽게 홈페이지를 만들고 사용하기를 원하고 기관에서는 외부로 공개되는 정보들이 정확성과 일관성이 유지되기를 기대한다. 본 논문에서는 특정한 정부출연 연구기관의 홈페이지들을 대상으로 운영현황과 문제점들을 분석하고 사용자 및 관리자가 효과적으로 활용하고 관리할 수 있는 방안을 도출하여 이를 바탕으로 웹 통합시스템을 설계하고 구현한 사례를 분석하였다.

This paper describes a web-based design review system as a knowledge management system relating reliability and safety system design. Since people's consciousness for safety and security become sensitive and increases the need of establishing a proactive prevention method for internal failures and relating risks in products. It also means that prevailing tacit knowledge in retired workers, in order to transform them to be easily used to support new system development, become more important. When considering safety and reliability design, at least two data sheet are necessary; Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and Risk Assessment (RA). These two data are practically made separately. However, it includes the concerns that a risk by failures during long-term use may not be noticed. To overcome this insufficiency, a support tool for integrating reliability evaluation and risk assessment data simultaneously is expected to be revealed. The authors have then developed a web-based design review system for reliability and safety system design. The system include various profitable functions; making FMEA and RA sheet, retrieving past data sheet for engineering change management and new product development and web-based discussion to increase the efficiency of discussion. The system is applied to one practical development works in order to demonstrate its effectiveness that is to be made clear by interviewing user's qualitative comment.

The geo-referencing of satellite imagery is a key task in remote sensing. GCPs are points the position of which is known both in the image and in the supporting maps. Mapping function makes the determination of map coordinates of all image pixels possible. Generally manual operations are done to identify image points corresponding to the points on a digital topographic map. In order to accurately measure ground coordinates of GCPs, differential global positioning system (DGPS) surveying are used. To acquire the sufficient number of well distributed GCPs is one of the most time-consuming and cost-consuming tasks. This paper describes the procedure of automatically extracting GCOs using GCP database. GCP image chips and image matching technique are used for automatic extraction of GCPs. We developed image processing tool for making image chip GCPs and Web Server for management of GCPs.

웹 서비스는 네트워크 및 관련 표준을 통하여 운영체제 및 프로그램 언어에 제한을 받지 않고 상호 운영이 가능하도록 해주는 표준화된 소프트웨어 기술로써 서비스를 제공, 발견하여 다양한 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 해주는 분산 컴퓨팅 서비스이다. 웹 서비스의 검색 방법은 기능적 측면만을 고려해 서비스 선정 시 사용자 위주의 검색에 한계점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 IoT 정보 자동생성 도구를 제안하여 웹 서비스 검색 시 IoT 확장 정보를 제공하여 사용자에게 적합한 서비스를 선정할 수 있도록 문제점을 개선한다. 제안하는 IoT 확장 정보 자동생성 도구는 사용자, 사물, 서비스로 구성된 세 가지 요소가 분산된 환경에서 상호 자율적으로 협업하여 Sensing, networking, 정보처리 등에서 발생하는 다양한 정보를 수집 저장한다. 사용자에 의해 생성된 정보를 웹 서비스 검색 시 확장정보로 제공함으로써 사용자에 적합한 서비스 검색을 지원한다. 제안방법은 4차 산업 분야 전반에 걸쳐 적용됨으로 다양한 환경의 요구사항에 맞는 사용자 정의 서비스를 제공 할 수 있다.

Web-based collaboration platforms present construction project teams with an opportunity to improve the efficiency of document exchange, better control project communications and enhance team collaboration. However, many construction professionals are still not convinced that these platforms, in their current form, are fit-for-purpose and yield sufficient efficiencies for the construction procurement process. In an attempt to improve the current ICT diffusion process, this paper evaluates the implementation of a web-based collaboration tool on the Lane Cove Tunnel (LCT) project in Sydney, Australia. Moreover, the paper provides strategies for achieving more effective implementation of web-based collaboration platforms in the construction sector.
