최근 웹 확산에 따른 일반인들의 인터넷 이용이 급증하였고 이에 따른 정보 기술도 빠르게 변화하고 있다. GIS 분야에서도 시대의 흐름에 맞춰 지리정보 데이타를 웹상에서 제공하는 웹 GIS 분야가 등장하게 되었다. 그러나, 상호 이질적인 지리정보 데이타를 웹 기반 분산 환경에서 서비스하기 위해 표준 인터페이스와 각각의 웹 서비스 모델을 정의한 통합 시스템이 요구되고 있다. OGC(OpenGIS Consortium)에서는 기존 OpenGIS(Open Geodata Interoperabillty Specification)의 상호운용성을 웹 환경에서 지원하고, 또한 상호이질석인 지리정보의 접근을 위해 새로운 웹 맵 서버인터페이스 구현 명세(Web Map Server Interface Implementation Specification)를 제안하였다. 웹 맵 서버 인터페이스 구현 명세는 웹상에서 공간 질의를 처리하기 위안 URL 컴포넌트를 정의하고 있으며, URL 형식의 클라이언트 질의를 수행한 결과를 웹 브라우저에서 이미지 포맷으로 지리정보를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 OGC가 최근 제안한 XML(eXtendible Markup Language)기반의 표준 공간 데이터 포맷인 GML(Geography Markup Language)과 웹 맵 서버 인터페이스를 이용해 분산된 지리정보 데이터를 웹 브라우서를 통하여 서비스할 수 있는 웹 맵 서버를 설계 및 구현하였다. 따라서 클라이언트는 본 논문에서 개발한 웹 맵 서버를 통하여 별도의 응용 프로그램을 개발하지 않고도 다양한 GIS 시버들의 종류와 위치에 관계없이 표준 인터페이스를 통해 이를 GIS 서버들로부터 공간 데이터를 접근할 수 있다.

In this paper, we discuss the development of an integrated HMI system based on OPC(OLE for Process Control) to control and monitor an automation equipment in the diverse environment. We implement an embedded OPC server according to the OPC standard which is proposed as the communication standard mechanism in the process control field, and design the interface module in which the output data of the OPC server can be connected to various HMI environment such as the local application, intranet client and Web page. This paper will be contributed in the HMI system implementation for the ubiquitous environment because it is possible to make remote control on the network and Web monitoring as well as the connection and data exchange of heterogeneous equipments by applying to various control systems.

Development of Web service application requires the interoperability between various heterogeneous systems, extensibility to allow modification of business environment not of user interface, maintainability, flexibility and reusability As the properties of CBD (Component Based Development) have gradually become clear, attention has started to turn the smooth technology and methodology to solve the existing problems and issues the dynamic responds for the distributed web environments. In this paper, we identify some of the major architectural affecting CBD and describe the Design and Implementation of Security Framework for Application Server with Components. We identify the candidate components, model it using UML and layer it on the architecture. The frameworks will Provide the various security functions, such as incorporating with legacy security systems, supporting of J2EE, JAAS and Kerberos and assisting in increasing the tailorability of component.

As the rapid develoment of internet and information technology, the traditional library has been altered to the digital content service based on the world wide web. This paper proposes a design and implementation of an Artcle Union Catalog System(AUCS) based on metadata. The metadata set for the AUCS consists of twelve Dublin Core elements and one holdings element. The qualifiers of the proposed metadata elements are also represented. The AUCS system has an online cooperated cataloging system using the web interface or the 239.50 protocol, an union cataloging management system, and an integrated information retrieved system service. The integrated search and retrieval service of the AUCS displays not only the summary and detailed bibliographic information, but also the abstract, the table of contents, the digital content, and the copylfax service.

As the management and preservation of the environment become an important social issue, information required to support environmental task is required. So, there is an increasing demand for environmental information and appropriate systems to manage it. The vast volume of environmental data is distributed in different knowledge domains and systems. Environmental data objects have the complex structure containing environmental quality data and attribute data. Environmental information systems must be able to address these properties. This research has aimed at constructing well-defined schema design of environmental data, and making system architecture that environmental data kept by authorities should be made available to the public user. There are 3 major components in environmental information systems architecture ; User interface, Catalog libraries, Communication Provider. Web browsers provide consistent and intuitive user interfaces on Internet. The communication provider is a collection of diverse CGI functions. The main roles of the CGIs are to build interfaces between the Web, databases. Catalog libraries is libraries of various matadata including administration matadata. Administration matadata support the environmental administration and the managerial aspects of environmental data rather than explain a database itself or its properties.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the interaction effect of Web site menu designs and information structures on two information searching performances (searching and browsing) and three measures of users' attitudes (appeal, usability, and disorientation). Pronounced interaction effects occurred across four dependent variables except searching when decreasing and increasing information structure were combined with a simple selection menu and a pull-down menu. Further studies are needed to investigate additional interactions among factors of interface and information structure of Web sites.

SMIL is a declarative markup language based on XML, which enables users to make effective multimedia presentations on the web by synchronizing media objects. In this paper, we design and implement a SMIL authoring tool which support Intuitive creation of web multimedia documents and diverse practical use of created information. Besides, creation, management and authoring module of SMIL document, it offers template interface depending on network bandwidth selection for general users to create multimedia presentation a convenient way. In addition, we implement SMIL document management facility for a large number of users, by connecting SMIL contents database sever.

We have designed embedded web server system and ported Linux operating system version 2.4.1 at our system. And then We implemented to control and monitor widely separated hardware. Web server is the Boa web server with General Public License. We designed for this system using of Cirrus logic's EP7312 ARM core base processor and connecting input and output device at GPIO port of EP7312. Device driver of General purpose I/O for Linux OS is designed. And then the application program controlling driver is implemented to use of common gate interface C language. User is available to control and monitor at client PC. This method have benefit to reduce the Expenditure of hardware design and development time against PC base system and have various and capacious application against firmware base system.

Genome analysis process requires several steps of various software analysis tools. We propose WGAT(Web-based Genome Analysis Tool), which combines several tools for gene analysis and provides a graphic user interface for users. Software tools related to gene analysis are based on Linux or Unix oriented program, which is difficult to install and use for biologists. Furthermore, files generated from gene analysis frequently require manual transformation for next step input file. Web-based tools which are recently developed process orily one sequence at a time. So it needs many repetitive processes to analyze large size data file. WGAT is developed to support Web-based genome analysis for easy use as well as fast service for users. Whole genome data analysis can be done by running WGAT on Linux server and giving sequence data files with various options. Therefore many steps of the analysis can be done automatically by the system. Simulation shows that WGAT method gives 20 times faster analysis when sequence segment is one thousand.

With the rapid advance of internet service and the corresponding migration of service environment from the text-based one to WWW (World Wide Web) environment, the number of internet users is growing rapidly due to its easy usage. Accordingly, usage of internet as services for sending electronic mails to the other patry over the network is becoming increasingly prevalent. Web-based electronic mailing system is comprised of a server and a client The former provides the users with e-mail accounts and services, while the latter serves as a user interface. In other words, it enales those public users who dos not own e-mail accounts on the existing mail server to have an access to hte mailing service through the web. In this paper, we designed a effective web-based electronic mailing system which is based on the internet explorer and linux operating system, which overcomes limitations of the existing e-mail systes and this facilitates the development of a stable e-mail system by being able to avoiding the low system performance due to the bursty characteristics of e-mail messages and the increasing number of users.
