A Study on the Web-based Distributed Design Application in the Preliminary Ship Design

  • Today's engineering design is carried out in a distributed fashion geographically or physically. This places new requirements on the computational environments such as efficient integration and collaboration. With the advances of the Internet and Network environment recently, many researches have been proposed and at the same time, Web-based distributed design gives to a new paradigm in design and manufacturing fields. That is, Web-based technologies lead to reduce the product development times and to ensure a competitive product in order to exchange and interact of real-time design information that integrates the distributed design environment between departments as well as companies via Internet and Web. So, an efficient data communication for design information sharing is the foundation for collaborative systems in the distributed environment. Design data communication techniques such as CORBA, DCOM and RMI have been considered in the existing research but they have some problems that are limitations of interoperability and firewall problems in the Web. Therefore, this paper presents a Web-based distributed design application where distributed design information resources are integrated and exchanged using Web Services for supporting XML and HTTP without the interoperability and firewall problems through the 330K VLCC case.

웹 컨텐츠 및 디자인 중심의 감리모형 연구 (A Study on the Audit Framework for Web Contents and Design)

  • The current information system audit merely inspects a web based information system by focusing on checking items that are extracted from structured and information engineering model and object-oriented component model. As a result, the checking item of web contents and design is inadequate. This paper aims to extract audit framework in order to strengthen the audit of web contents and design during the development of the web based information system and to suggest checking items based on audit framework. For this, the web development process and web site evaluation model were studied, compared, and analyzed with the current information system development audit. From a result of the survey, it was found that the adequacy of the suggested audit framework and audit checking items is above the average value. It is believed that the suggested audit framework is helpful for the audit of web based information system.

웹디자인, e-만족, e-충성도, 고객이탈 간의 관계에 관한 연구 (The Relationship among Web Design, e-Satisfaction, e-Loyalty, and Customer Defection)

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify the relationship among five factors of web design, e-satisfaction, e-loyalty, and customer defection and provide the implications of marketing strategies in online shopping. The research findings are as follows: first, ease of use of web design affects positively e-satisfaction more than the other factors except financial security. Second, e-satisfaction affects positively e-loyalty. Third, e-satisfaction does not affect customer defection. Fourth, informativeness, styling, ease of use, and trust of web design affect indirectly e-loyalty by mediating e-satisfaction. Therefore, because there is a good circular relationship among web design, e-satisfaction, and e-loyalty, it is very important to enhance web design for customers. When customers satisfy highly with the factors of web design, e-loyalty is higher and customer defection is lower. Further, in a curriculum of web design it is needed to reflect the findings of this paper.

  • 인터넷과 뉴미디어의 발달로 인해 발생된 웹은 정보공유의 매체로서 뿐만 아니라 새로운 커뮤니케이션으로의 수단이 되고있다. 이에 따라 웹이 정보공유와 커뮤니케이션 목적을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있도록 웹 인터페이스에 관한 디자인 방법론이 정립되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 효과적인 커뮤니케이션 도구로서 다양한 표현양식의 범위를 포함하는 웹의 효율적인 활용을 위해 웹 인터페이스디자인의 분석방법을 모색하였다. 본 연구는 웹 인터페이스디자인 방법론의 선행연구로서, 웹의 컨텐츠 분류, 정보구조, 웹사이트의 페이지디자인, 인터페이스의 구성원리와 디자인 구성요소를 살펴본다. 이를 바탕으로 웹 인터페이스디자인의 구성요소를 중심으로 하는 인터페이스 디자인의 분석 방법을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 웹 인터페이스디자인의 분석방법은 웹 분류, 인터페이스디자인의 구성요소분석, 종합분석의 3단계로 나뉜다. 분석결과는 인터페이스디자인을 분류하고 유형화시킴으로써 구체적 디자인 개발의 과정에서 즉각적으로 피드백되는 인터페이스디자인의 가이드라인으로 이용될 수 있으며, 디자인의 예상되는 결과를 미리 검토할 수 있는 자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

  • The web-based group collaborative systems are emerging as enterprise-wide information systems. Since data in group collaborative systems are apt to be shared among multiple concurrent users and modified simutaneously by them, the web-based group collaborative systems must support synchronous collaboration in order to provide users with synchronized and consistent views of shared data. This paper proposes an active web server which can facilitate synchronous collaboration in web-based group collaborative systems. To accomplish such a goal, the active web server manages dependency relationships between shared data and web browsers referencing them and actively propagates changing details of the shared data to all web browsers referencing them. And, this paper examines usefullness and effectiveness of the active web server to apply it to the ball-bearing design example of concurrent engineering design systems. The prototype system of the active web server is developed on a commercial Object-oriented Database Management System (ODBMS) called OBJECTSTORE using the C++ programming language.

웹 서비스를 이용한 공학설계 적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Application of Engineering Design Problem using Web Service)

Meanwhile, Web-based distributed design has led new paradigms in design and manufacturing fields. Hence, efficient data communication for design information sharing is the basis for collaborative systems in the distributed environments. This paper presents the application of engineering design problems in which distributed design information resources are integrated and exchanged using Web Service for supporting XML and HTTP without interoperability and firewall problems.

취업정보사이트의 웹서비스품질과 관계품질 역할 연구 (A Study on Web Service Quality and Role of Relationship Quality of Job Information Sites)

  • These days, getting a gob is emerging as a hot social issue, and specialized sites offering job information are rapidly increasing. On the contrary of quantitative increase, job information sites have lots of problems with respect to satisfying customer's needs. This study is designed to explore web-site service quality factors in job information site, and relationship among characteristic web service quality, customer satisfaction, relationship quality and reuse intention. In this study we found that customer satisfaction is prior to relationship quality, which decide long-term customer relationship. And also, Trust which is one of the relationship quality and customer satisfaction affect customers reuse intent respectively. This study also found that characteristic service quality in related to job information site can be composed of four factors such as delivery of information, customization, web design and interaction. Delivery of information, web design and interaction affect trust, and web design and interaction affect customer satisfaction. And also relationship quality is prior to reuse intention.

  • Recently as users' requests for geographic information systems are being more various, several new functions are being added to existing geographic information systems. One of them is linkage of spatial geographic data and video / image data to offer more realistic information of geographic objects to users. Geographic information systems implementing this function are called video geographic information system. In this paper, we design and implement a video geographic information system for providing map data, video data and link information of them to web applications. We 1) design system architecture of a video geographic information system, 2) analyze some processes to construct link information of map data and video data, 3) design database schema to store map data, video data, and link information, and 4) design some XML/GML schema used to query and retrieve these data for web applications.

  • 정보환경의 발전과 정보요구의 변화에 따라 효율적인 정보서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 정보서비스 체계나 시스템 환경을 이용자의 정보요구에 맞게 재정비하고, 나아갈 방향에 대해서 새롭게 정의할 필요성이 있다. 본 고에서는 효율적인 정보서비스를 위한 인포메이션 디자인(Information Design) 개념의 도입과 실제, 특히 정보서비스에 필요한 인포메이션 디자인의 소개와 메뉴 구성 방법을 중심으로 인포메이션 디자인에 대해 설명하고 있다.
