  • A prototype of OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service is developed by NEC Aerospace Systems, Ltd. under the contract from NASDA and RESTEC. The server provides satellite imagery data taken by JERS-1 and ADEOS satellite, via OGC interfaces to the client. The related features are also available to the client through the Internet with OGC interfaces. The imagery, map and feature data is handled layer by layer at the client. OGC Web Map Service and Web Feature Service interoperability capability and applicability to Digital Asia Network are demonstrated.

  • Recently, loosely-coupled systems are widely used for distributed computing environment. We develop a web GIS server who conforms to the international standards developed by the Open GIS Consortium (OGC), such as web feature service (WFS) implementation specification, Geography Markup Language (GML) implementation specification, and the simple features specification for OLE/COM. The web GIS server provides interoperable access of spatial data among data formats in the distributed environment.

  • This paper developed a web service system providing hydrographic information encoded by GML rules. In order to achieve the goal, every data included in an ENC, which is following the rules of the S-57 and S-52 from the IHO, is transformed into a data structure form of OLE/COM from the OOC. In the system, hydrographic information can be provided through a data provider, and then it can be encoded into GML format for web services. This paper also implemented a web client that requests hydrographic information to the server and renders result data which is a GML format following the rules of S-57.

  • OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium) SWE(Senser Web Enablement)는 오픈 표준 기반 서비스로써 다중 센서의 정보를 취합하여 3차원 가시화 및 분석, 편집에 활용되는 웹시스템의 표준이다.

  • This paper suggests design and implementation of moving objects management system using GML which is the XML encoding standard of geographic data. The proposed system integrates spatial data and moving objects data, utilizing the concept of Web Feature Services. While integrating data, standard data model and interfaces, proposed by OGC, are used. Since GML is standard for storing and transferring spatial/non-spatial data, interoperability and extendibility can be obtained. In addition, we propose efficient developing environment for the moving object management system by providing components having Web/Mobile interface. If the proposed component be development methods are used, it is easy to add or modifyservices in the mobile system and pla
