The suggestion of common cause of disease, characteristics of human body, and medical treatment (질병 발생의 원인과 특성에 대한 제언)

  • Objectives & Methods: This suggestion was attempted to be elevated the recognition of common characteristics in disease. So, we performed to analyze the correlation of common cause of disease, characteristics of human body, and medical treatment. And the results are as follows. Results: 1. The cause of disease is consist of genetic factor, aging, habit, food of not good in health, weather, environment, deficit of the physical activity, stress and so on. 2. Generally, human has common and individual weakness. Individual weakness is appeared similar to the occurrence of volcano and lapse. 3. The correlation of disease and medical treatments is possible to explain using the quotation of the law of motion made by Isaac Newton, the great physicist. 4. When the process of the medical treatment was not progressed, the prognosis is determined by the correlation of the homeostasis(H') in human body and the homeostasis(H) of disease. 5. The prognosis of disease is determined by the relationship between the energy of disease(F) and medical treatment(F'). 6. The exact diagnosis is possible to predict the treatment sequence, and the facts that homeostasis in human body and disease, relationship between the energy of disease(F) and medical treatment(F'), action and reaction are important to determine the prognosis. 7. The careful observation of improving response and worsening action of disease becomes available for exact prognosis. Conclusion: The above described contents may be useful in clinical studies, and the concrete clinical reports about this will be made afterward.

A Study on the Analysis and Improvement methods of Emergency Medical Service Systems in Disaster Areas (재해현장에서의 응급의료체계에 대한 분석과 개선방안)

  • Various disasters have been continuously occurred in Korea from 1990s to now. However, there is no substantial improvement against damages as compared with the past due to various reasons such as lack of fundamental recognition, ineffective response systems and widespread insensitivity to safety. More worse, new types of disasters have been frequently generated due to rapid changes in social structures and industrial development, unusual changes in weather and changes of international situations. These disasters request comprehensive countermeasures. In particular, while material damages by disasters can be recovered, the losses of precious lives cannot be recuperated in any ways. Thus, it is critical to set effective disaster medical plans. The first way to minimize damages by disasters is the prevention and the next is to set the disaster medical plans focusing on preliminarily activating the emergency medical system to rapidly rescue and take appropriate emergency medical services for casualties in the early stage when any disaster occurs. Nevertheless, no sufficient researches or references do not exist up to now. Even worse, effective emergency medical systems that play critical roles in increasing survival rates of casualties in actual disaster areas is not deployed. For the United States, the consistent countermeasure system is established in FEMA through a close cooperative system with relevant organizations for serious accidents including terrorists' attacks or natural disasters. For the emergency medical services in disasters, the disaster medical plan is set to cope with any disasters in perfect order by special area as operating the National Disaster Medical SystemESF#8 Role by FEMA. Accordingly, we need to set the extensive and integrated disaster prevention system for rapid and flexible operation against various kinds of serious accidents. This study identified overall problems in disaster control plans in Korea and suggested how to improve the emergency medical service system in disaster areas. Furthermore, it aims to prepare the basic data to set the effective emergency medical service plans when substantial casualties break out and more reasonable and systematic disaster control plans to cope with the future occurrence of serious disasters.

  • When a vessel is underway in a heavy weather, passengers and crew suffer from seasickness caused by ship motions such as pitch, heave or roll, or all combined Sickness induces drowsiness, dizziness, headache, stomachache etc, in extreme conditions, they are met with a serious trouble which is physiologically unrecoverable. It results in weakening of spiritual activities or making errors from decrease of motivation, dropping off skills, poor recognition and poor judgement. In this paper, it was examined the international standards concerning the occurrence of sickness and the execution of works, also evaluated the boarding comfort by conducting several times of questionnaire on cadets boarding on the training ship HANBADA As a result, it was confirmed that the main factor of occurring the sickness was the vertical acceleration and the level was more than 0.2g. Also, it was presented the way how to reduce the sickness by changing the speed and/or course in relation to the encounter period.

  • This study puts its purpose on presenting an integral system of representative urban landscapes, public design and colors, in practicing urban design in the context of local identity. An integral design of public design that successfully plans and executes local identity, and changes recognition of integral management of urban design, is suggested as followings. Firstly, when the catchment area is divided in metropolitan area, it should be reset according to the natural environment condition regardless of administrative area system like city and county. It is the method to classify the metropolitan area by researching and analyzing geographical condition, weather condition, soil and vegetation in detail and subclassify it by the visual commonness of natural environment. Secondly, it is necessary to access the urban landscape, public design and urban color from the overall aspect emphasizing the plan for each field and local identity. They should be practiced by the role and category of each field on the basis of consistent design strategy and instruction but the cooperation system is required as a process to reinforce and specify the mutual limit. Thirdly, the artificial structure is constructed through artificial adjustment depending on the urban formation process and the development time point. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the rapid urban development, the change speed and the landscape formation of each age. It is necessary to classify the type of artificial landscape by age and form similarity and separate the area that should be generalized and controlled by entire metropolitan area form the area that should be specialized by basic local government.

  • Autonomous vehicles are the 4th industrial revolution that utilizes artificial intelligence(AI) and superconducting technology, and is a world-wide investment and research project. However, a Uber vehicle under test in Arizona, USA, was accidentally killed by pedestrians crossing the road in the dark night, and accidents occurred when the Tesla vehicle was exposedto the backlightof the sun. These problems were caused by misunderstandings and choice about sensors mounted on autonomous vehicles due to bad weather such as snow, rain, and sunlight. In this paper, we analyze the composition of the autonomous vehicle and the cause of the accident, and consider the criteria that should be judged in case of emergency in which human accidents may occur. This paper analyzes the composition of autonomous vehicles and causes of accidents, and considers the criteria that should be choice in an emergency where an accident may occur.

  • This paper introduces a smart door system composed of security system and secretary system. As ratio of single households increase, the security of household became more important. Also already there were a lot of artificial intelligence secretary system based on voice called smart home technology. But It has limits. It can not work without user's requests. That mean it is not automatic. And the voice recognition depend on user's pronounce. Thus in this paper, we design and develop smart door system that is added function of security and secretary. That can inform users that there are outsider in front of their house in real time. Also that can speak information such as user's requirements, delivery and weather information using TTS. As a result they can prevent crimes and use convenient secretary system.

  • Recently, fine dust has been known to cause cardiovascular diseases here, raising interest in ways to reduce emissions by efficiently using fuel from cars that cause air pollution. Accordingly, a driving assistance system was developed to save fuel by eco-driving and improve the driver's bad driving habits. The system was developed using raspberry pi, arduino and Android. Using RPM, speed, fuel injection information obtained from OBD-II, and gyro-sensor values, Fuel-Cut is induced to create an optimal inertial driving environment. It also provides various information system such as weather, driving environment, and preventing drowsy driving through GUI and voice recognition functions. It is possible to check driving records and vehicle fault information using Android application and has low overhead for message transmission using MQTT protocol optimized for IoT environment.

  • Road's accidents caused by Ice, snow, Wet of roads surface conditions and weather conditions situations that are constantly occurring. That is, driver's negligence and safe driving ability of individuals due to lack of awareness, and Road management main agent(the government and the public, etc.) due to road conditions, if there is insufficient information. So Related research needs is a trend that is required. In this study, gather Camera(Stereo camera)'s image data, and analysis polarization coefficients and wavelet transform. And unlike traditional single-dimensional classification algorithms as multi-dimensional analysis by using SVM classification techniques, develop an algorithm to determine road conditions. Four on the road conditions (dry, wet, snow, ice) recognition success rate for the detection and analysis of experiments.

A Study on the Status Quo and the Improvements of Blue Tourism Websites in the Context of Electronic Commerce (해양관광 사이트의 전자상거래 지원지능에 대한 실태 및 개선방안)

  • To develop an blue tourism website(BTW) for electronic commerce(EC), information requirements of BTW are defined firstly. We defined information requirements of BTW from two aspects, i.e., front office and back office. Information requirements for front office were derived by consumer purchasing decision process. And information requirements for back office were derived by tourism value chain. Total 29 functions are identified as critical EC related functions of BTW. Among them, 25 functions were investigated into BTW. BTWs were searched by search engines - Yahoo and Empas - to Korean websites. There are 12 specialized BTWs, except one cyber museum website. For 12 websites, 25 functions were probed. By the results, in need recognition stage of blue tourism, only weather information was provided in most websites. In information search stage of blue tourism, package recommendation and various contents were provided in most websites. In consumption stage of blue tourism, traffic information were provided in most websites. And in after - sales service stage of blue tourism, bulletin board function was implemented in most websites. The rest of the functions were scarcely implemented. On the whole, it was concluded that most EC related functions of BTW in Korea were not implemented properly. To improve the status quo, it is expected in the dimension of individual website, that marketing planning, customized service, intelligent service, reinforcing purchasing assistance functions, customer relationship management, and escrow service etc. need to be implemented. And it is expected in the dimension of blue tourism industry, that standardizing product catalog, security assistance policy, information sharing by industrial database, finding referral model of BTW, elevating information mind, revising related laws etc. are needed.

Characteristics of Chronic Sensory Abnormalities in Korean Burn Patients (한국인에서 화상 후 만성 감각이상의 특징에 대한 연구)

  • Background: After burn patients are discharged from the hospital, they may continue to feel pain and paresthetic sensations at the site of a healed burn and these problems may persist for years. This study was designed to describe the characteristics of these symptoms in terms of intensity, frequency, and influencing factors. Methods: Patients that developed paresthetic sensations at sites of a healed burn were recruited from the pain management center from January 2003 to April 2006. Data was collected using a structured interview protocol. Results: Fifty one adults, with a total body surface area burned (TBSA) of $21.1{\pm}16.3%$ aged $42.0{\pm}12.9$ years were studied. A paresthetic sensation was reported to be present every day in 52.9% (27/51) of the subjects. A variation in the intensity was most commonly related to changes in the weather. A tight sensation and itching types of sensations were significantly more frequent in patients with more extensive injuries. Conclusions: Recognition and understanding of the chronic paresthetic sensation that many burn patients continue to experience at sites of a healed burn deserve further attention. Not only do clinicians need to be aware of these problems but also strategies for prevention and alleviation shou\d be explored.
