  • To evaluate the suitability of the Weaponeering tool for the Surface to Surface Guided Missile at the Above-Ground Buildings, we analyzed the relation among SSPD, $MAE_{bldg}$, CEP and the number of missiles, expected damage etc.. According to the analysis, if the target Length is 100m, and $\sqrt{MAE_{bldg}}$ is longer than the target length, the tool is suitable but shorter than it, the tool is not suitable. So Morris Driels's Weaponeering Tool needs new adaptive algorithm to Translate as the Target size and $MAE_{bldg}$.

  • In this paper, framework of weapon effects calculator for hardened targets is presented. Fast running time, validation and easy expandibility are required for weaponeering tools, and these requirements were met by using of physics-based fast-running models or semi-empirical equations for damage prediction and penetrations, and modular architecture. Key concepts and outputs, required functions and corresponding use cases were presented.

  • The purpose of this study was to propose an operational concept for a ship in a fleet equipped with an interceptor missile system, a naval surface to air defense system, and to develop a simulation program that reflects it. The results of the defense activities of other ships in the fleet can be reflected by receiving information about the status of the enemy missiles. The allocation of defensive assets is based on the survival probability of the ship, not on the destruction of enemy attacks, which can be obtained as the product of the expected survival probability for each enemy missile. In addition, the concept of predicted survivability was introduced to assess the loss of future defense opportunities that would result from assigning a new command. A simulation program was also developed as a tool for realizing the proposed concept of operations, which generated cases.

  • The probability of lethality of personnel targets inside a room is a key issue at assessing effectiveness of a weapon system. In this study, the minimum charge weight to achieve 100% lethality of personnel targets inside a box-type room is proposed at each side length of a base of a room. A fast running blast wave model is used to simulate the pressure-time histories of the blast generated by an internal explosion inside a room, and Axelsson SP method is used to evaluate the lethality of personnel targets under the blast. 176 different internal explosion scenarios are simulated for cases of TNT weights ranging from 20kg to 170kg inside a room whose square base has a side length ranging from 5m to 15m. A linear model and a charge-density model were developed to predict the minimum charge weight to achieve 100% lethality inside a room given a length of a base of a room.
