  • This study was conducted to find out influence of dormancy level and carbon concentration on freezing hardiness in bourse shoot of 'Fuji' apple tree. Bourse shoot of 'Fuji' adult apple tree grafted on M.26 and M.9 rootstocks were used as experimental materials. Dormancy levels of bourse shoot were categorized according to the periods as follows the internal dormancy (late January), the early days after internal dormancy breaking (early February), the late days after internal dormancy breaking (late February), the bud break (late March), and the full bloom (late April). Chilling temperatures with bourse shoot were ranged from 0 to $-40^{\circ}C$. Also, the freezing hardiness according to carbon concentrations were investigated on 'Fuji'/M.9 apple tree that defoliated severely by Marssonina blotch (defoliation) and that of below the average 20 cm in shoot length through heavy crop load (weakness). Results showed that freezing hardiness of bourse shoot may become weaker after internal dormancy breaking. There was no differences in the carbon concentration of bourse shoot of 'Fuji' apple tree grafted on M.9 and M.26, so may be resulted in no difference in freezing hardiness both of bourse shoot grafted on M.9 and M.26 rootstock. Carbon concentration in bourse shoots with weakness and C/N ratio in bourse shoots with defoliation were lower than that of healthy. It may be shown that the freezing hardiness of defoliation and weakness were weaker than that of healthy.

  • The general octree structure is common for various applications including computer graphics, geometry information analysis and query. Unfortunately, the general octree approach causes duplicated sample data and discrepancy between sampling and representation positions when applied to sample continuous spatial information, for example, signed distance fields. To address these issues, some researchers introduced the dual octree. In this paper, the weakness of the dual octree approach will be illustrated by focusing on the fact that the dual octree cannot access some specific continuous zones asymptotically. This paper shows that the primal tree presented by Lefebvre and Hoppe can solve all the problems above. Also, this paper presents a three-dimensional primal tree traversal algorithm based the Morton codes which will help to parallelize the primal tree method.

  • This paper deals with optimum communication spanning tree(OCST) problem. Generally, OCST problem is known as NP-hard problem and recently, it is reveled as MAX SNP hard by Papadimitriou and Yannakakis. Nevertheless, many researchers have used polynomial approximation algorithm for solving this problem. This paper uses evolutionary algorithm. Especially, when an evolutionary algorithm is applied to tree network problem such as the OCST problem, representation and genetic operator should be considered simultaneously because they affect greatly the performance of algorithm. So, we introduce a new representation method to improve the weakness of previous representation which is proposed for solving the degree constrained minimum spanning tree problem. And we also propose a new decoding method to generate a reliable tree using the proposed representation. And then, for finding a suitable genetic operator which works well on the proposed representation, we tested three kinds of genetic operators using the information of network or the genetic information of parents. Consequently, we could confirm that the proposed method gives better results than the previous methods.

  • Background: Scapular winging (SW) could be caused by tightness or weakness of the periscapular muscles. Although data mining techniques are useful in classifying or predicting risk of musculoskeletal disorder, predictive models for risk of musculoskeletal disorder using the results of clinical test or quantitative data are scarce. Objects: This study aimed to (1) investigate the difference between young women with and without SW, (2) establish a predictive model for presence of SW, and (3) determine the cutoff value of each variable for predicting the risk of SW using the decision tree method. Methods: Fifty young female subjects participated in this study. To classify the presence of SW as the outcome variable, scapular protractor strength, elbow flexor strength, shoulder internal rotation, and whether the scapula is in the dominant or nondominant side were determined. Results: The classification tree selected scapular protractor strength, shoulder internal rotation range of motion, and whether the scapula is in the dominant or nondominant side as predictor variables. The classification tree model correctly classified 78.79% (p = 0.02) of the training data set. The accuracy obtained by the classification tree on the test data set was 82.35% (p = 0.04). Conclusion: The classification tree showed acceptable accuracy (82.35%) and high specificity (95.65%) but low sensitivity (54.55%). Based on the predictive model in this study, we suggested that 20% of body weight in scapular protractor strength is a meaningful cutoff value for presence of SW.

  • Gyeongoggo is first described in the Collected Prescription by Hong Family in the Song Dynasty in China. It is composed of Radix Rehmnniae, Panax ginseng, Poria cocos, and Mel. Its main efficacy is to treat weakness of primordial essence of body and dry cough, and to invigorate qi and replenish yin principle. It is one of the most important prescriptions that people have been using for a long time. We studied the documents recorded in the medical classics and comprehended the following results. Gyeongoggo has efficacy to keep a person healthy and live long age, to treat amnesia and dizziness from brain weakness, to strengthen muscle and bone by improving function of stomach and colon, to improve a person's memory and judgement, to invigorate brain weakness, and, to treat tuberculosis and lung cancer. The longer a person take it, the better it is for one's health and meditation. When it is made, it is important to mix four components up, to boil it with an oak tree for three days and nights, and then to add water from a well to reduce heat for a full day, and to boil up again for a full day to mature fully. As gyeongoggo is acquired not only by the full heart of a manufacturer but also the sympathy of nature, it is important to choose a clean place to make and keep. When it is taken, it is proper to take it with warm water or liquors. And when it is made, we came to know that it is possible to make gyeongoggo with special efficacy by adding one to three more components.

  • This paper proposes a mechanism that guarantees secured performance against DDoS attack to protect data from free-roaming agent. Also, as it makes up QCRT(query chain relationship tree) structure which is an enhanced chain relation of existing chain relations that improves extension, It also finds malicious elements. The proposed mechanism extends chain relationship of agent as well by checking chain relation structure as a structure according to the route of agent. For it complements existing weakness with single-side chain relation extension, it guarantees secure performance against DDoS and truncation attacks from mobile agent.

  • Board games have many game characters and many state spaces. Therefore, games must be long learning. This paper used reinforcement learning algorithm. But, there is weakness with reinforcement learning. At the beginning of learning, reinforcement learning has the drawback of slow learning speed. Therefore, we tried to improve the learning speed by using the heuristic using the knowledge of the problem domain considering the game tree when there is the same best value during learning. In order to compare the existing character the improved one. I produced a board game. So I compete with one-sided attacking character. Improved character attacked the opponent's one considering the game tree. As a result of experiment, improved character's capability was improved on learning speed.

  • Fractured tracheostomy tube presenting as foreign body in the tracheobronchial tree is very rare. Authors experienced a case of broken tracheostomy tube presenting as a foreign body in the trachea, which was removed with the help of flexible bronchoscope. A few causes could be suggested for the tube break: aging and deterioration of the tube with repeated use, a flaw of the tube in the manufacturing process, and a wrong sterilization.method causing weakness of the tube. We report this case with brief literature review.

  • Falling rocks are classed by the collapse to wide meaning. it is a kinds of earth disaster that has happen every year. Falling rocks are defined as blocks which had fallen from the cliff. It is caused by the relaxation of discontinuous structures like as a joint, a foliation, a bedding, and so on. Usually, the Relaxation of blocks from the rock face is happened by various kinds factors that are acted as a complex. Sometimes, the tree can be a factor of the weakness or relaxation of rock blocks and a cause of the falling rock.

  • There exists a interface among the different kinds of materials in the solid insulating ones, which effects on the insulating capability heavily. The insulating construction has been developed for each usages and take themselves into several sorts. The conjunction between CV cables have the electrical weakness of solidity and solid interface, so they were focused at the long distance-line. To this background, it is very important to get the information on the interface influencing on the insulating capability of cable and to observe its procedure. In this paper, the interface was made artificially to research the effect owing to the toughness of interface, which results in the aging and treeing proceeding was observed. The polyethylen, as is generally using for the cable, was taken in this research.
