Clinical Application of Model of Human Occupation on Goals Setting of Elderly person With Dementia: A Case Study (치매노인의 목표수립을 위한 인간작업모델 (Model of Human Occupation)의 적용: 사례연구)

  • Objective : Based on the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), this study was to identifies the goals setting of elderly person with dementia. Methods : For 5 weeks from May to June of 2012, MOHO-based interviews and Occupational Questionnaire(OQ), Interest checklist(IC), Volitional Questionnaire(VQ), The Assessment of Communication and Interaction Skills(ACIS), Occupational Performance History Interview-II(OPHI-II), Occupational Self Assessment(OSA), The Occupational Circumstances Assessment Interview and Rating(OCAIR) assessment were conducted on elderly person with dementia. Further interviews were conducted with case manager and family. Results : After interviews and assessments were conducted, the results of which showed limitations in social and family relationship, financial issues, general well-being. Conclusion : Applying the MOHO forms a basis for judging the subject in a holistic and general way, changes how the subject is viewed, suggests various strategies. For improving the professinoalism and qualities of occupational therapy service, and may help expand the range of other relevant areas.

  • This study was conducted to suggest a way to increase profitability by figuring out the factors that affect the satisfaction and revisit intention of customers who visit a theme park, studying the property and correlation of service quality. The purpose of this study was to figure out the relation between the service quality of foods and beverages and its influence on the satisfaction of the customers who visited the theme park. As service quality and price of foods and beverages which occupy 20% of the whole sales of the theme park are related with each other, they positively affect the satisfaction of visitors of the theme park and their revisit intention. It means it is necessary to improve the service quality of foods and beverages and to set the reasonable price based on quality in order to raise the rate of the customers' revisit through increase in profits and customer satisfaction. One of the most important quality factors to improve service quality is service attitude of employees who help customers. It requires to take action to improve employers' morals and service mind via education and training. Thus, it is possible to raise customer satisfaction and revisit intention by improving service quality.

Effect of Vitamin C Supplementation on Iron Status of Adolescent Girls with Low Hemoglobin Levels

  • This study investigated the effects of vitamin C supplementation on the nutritional iron status of 31 adolescent girls, aged 12-15 years, with low hemoglobin levels. They were randomly divided into four groups, and for two groups daily150mg or 900mg of L-ascorbic acid(AsA) was given in three equal doses at three meals during 9 weeks. To another group daily 60mg iron as ferrous sulfate was given in the same way as AsA. The control group was given sugar placebo. Body iron status was monitored through the determination of Hb, Hct, MCHC, and serum ferritin concentrations. Dietary AsA and iron intakes were measured from food consumption surveys performed by 3-day 24-hour recalls. The amount of absorbed iron was estimated from the model of Monsen et al. The average amounts of food iron for four groups were 12.3- 15.0mg and 11.1 - 18.9mg at initial and at final period of the supplementation trial, respectively. The tentatively estimated amount of absorbed iron was significantly increased in the 900mg AsA and iron supplementing groups, but not in the 150mg AsA and placebo groups. Both Hb and MCHC were improved to above normal levels in all groups except the placebo group. Hct was elevated only in the AsA 900mg group whose Hct was relatively lower than the other groups. Serum ferritin concentrations of the four groups, which were as low as 8.50 - 14.39ng/mL on average at the intial periods, augmented significantly to 20.18ng/mL and 26.63ng/mL in the 900mg AsA and iron groups, respectively. Serum ferritin was not elevated in either the AsA 300mg group or the placebo group. The above data indicated that the daily supplementaion of 150mg AsA to the meals containing 12-15mg iron per day promoted Hb levels of adolescent girls with low Hb, and the 900mg AsA supplementing improved not only Hb level but also body iron store. A supplementation of 60mg iron per day appeared to be slightly more effective in improving the iron status in comparison to the 900mg AsA supplement.   • DQDB(Distributed Queue Dual Bus) protocol, the IEEE 802.6 standard protocol for metropolitan area networks, does not fully take advantage of the capabilities of dual bus architecture. Although fairness in bandwidth distribution among nodes is improved when using so called the bandwidth balancing mechanism, the protocol requires a considerable amount of time to adjust to changes in the network load. Additionally, the bandwidth balancing mechanism leaves a portion of the available bandwidth unused. In a high-speed backbone network, each node may act as a bridge/ router which connects several LANs as well as hosts. However, Because the existence of high speed LANs becomes commonplace, the congestionmay occur on a node because of the limitation on access rate to the backbone network and on available buffer spaces. to release the congestion, it is desirable to install some congestion control algorithm in the node. In this paper, we propose an efficient congestion control mechanism and fair and waster-free MAC protocol for dual bus network. In this protocol, all the buffers in the network can be shared in such a way that the transmission rate of each node can be set proportional to its load. In other words, a heavily loaded node obtains a larger bandwidth to send the sements so tht the congestion can be avoided while the uncongested nodes slow down their transmission rate and store the incoming segments into thier buffers. this implies that the buffers on the network can be shared dynamically. Simulation results show that the proposed probotol significantly reduces the segment queueing delay of a heavily loaded node and segment loss rate when compared with original DQDB. And it enables an attractive high throughput in the backbone network. Because in the proposed protocol, each node does not send a requet by the segment but send a request one time in the meaning of having segments, the frequency of sending requests is very low in the proposed protocol. so the proposed protocol signigificantly reduces the segment queuing dely. and In the proposed protocol, each node uses bandwidth in proportion to its load. so In case of limitation of available buffer spaces, the proposed protocol reduces segment loss rate of a heavily loaded node. Bandwidth balancing DQDB requires the wastage of bandwidth to be fair bandwidth allocation. But the proposed DQDB MAC protocol enables fair bandwidth without wasting bandwidth by using bandwidth one after another among active nodes.

The Effect of Color Incongruity on Brand Attitude: Moderating Effect of Self-Image Congruence (컬러 불일치가 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향: 자아이미지 일치성의 조절효과를 고려하여)

  • In this research, through experiments, we show that incongruity of color between mediums has positive influence on brand attitude in terms of integrated management of brand. We also present that self-image congruence of 'brand-consumer' has moderating effect on such influence of color incongruity. Mediums were limited to the ones that magnifying visual influence in order only to observe influence of color. With the same reason, visual factors other than color were coherently set or held constant and we chose brands with either low familarity or no previous knowledge. As a result, we find that brand attitude by the incongruity of color between mediums was higher compared to brand attitude by the congruence of color. In case with lower self-image congruence of brand-consumer we show higher change in attitude compared to the one with higher self-image congruence of brand-consumer. We believe our findings are interesting to note that brand may be enhanced by forming positive brand attitude through brand expression i.e., color of visual factors. In addition, we suggest that level of congruence and diversity of brand expression is in fact deeper or wider than that of brand manager's intuition. We see that it is possible for studying brands the incongruity which has been studied as a strategy to reposition mature brands can be a way of improving the recognition on new brands.

  • This paper aims to provide a detailed introduction to the concept of the Ratio of Predictable Component (RPC) and the Signal-to-Noise Paradox. Then, we derive insights from them by exploring the paradoxical features by conducting a seasonal and regional analysis through ensemble expansion in KMA's climate prediction system (GloSea). We also provide an explanation of the ensemble generation method, with a specific focus on stochastic physics. Through this study, we can provide the predictability limits of our forecasting system, and find way to enhance it. On a global scale, RPC reaches a value of 1 when the ensemble is expanded to a maximum of 56 members, underlining the significance of ensemble expansion in the climate prediction system. The feature indicating RPC paradoxically exceeding 1 becomes particularly evident in the winter North Atlantic and the summer North Pacific. In the Siberian Continent, predictability is notably low, persisting even as the ensemble size increases. This region, characterized by a low RPC, is considered challenging for making reliable predictions, highlighting the need for further improvement in the model and initialization processes related to land processes. In contrast, the tropical ocean demonstrates robust predictability while maintaining an RPC of 1. Through this study, we have brought to attention the limitations of potential predictability within the climate prediction system, emphasizing the necessity of leveraging predictable signals with high RPC values. We also underscore the importance of continuous efforts aimed at improving models and initializations to overcome these limitations.

Basic Research on Color Planning for Enhancing Brand Image (브랜드 이미지 향상을 위한 색채계획 기초연구)

  • This is a basic research aimed at enhancing a brand image by unifying color images of a brand at both online and offline stores. h survey was conducted on color images of online and offline stores to measure the level of consistency between consumers' perception of the color image and the brand's color strategy. A brand preference survey was also performed to shed light on the relationship between the brand preference and the consistency of color images at online and offline stores. This study is committed to building an effective color strategy, based on the brand strategy, through web color planning that is consistent with the offline color image. This paper started with a specific purpose of devising solutions in regard to the prior study, entitled 'Study on Color Strategies in Brand Coffee', which recognizes the need for consistent color images, or integrated color strategies, in online and offline stores. I specifically took the approach of looking at color planning in the stage of designing a website. Two standards were used to analyze emotional and functional aspects of color images: color grading by I.R.I and five communicators of color information by Rouge. Direct visits were made to the offline stores for surveys to address the shortcomings of the prior study, in which offline stimuli were limited to printed materials. The direct visits enabled a study of an overall color image of the offline stores, while providing a set of substantial and specific guidelines for designing colors for a website. I hope this study goes a long way toward enhancing the level of consistency between online and offline color images based on the brand's unique color strategy, and thereby improving the overall level of brand image.

A Study on Middle School Students' Problem Solving Processes for Scientific Graph Construction (중학생의 과학 그래프 구성에 관한 문제 해결 과정 연구)

  • In this study, we investigated the middle school students' processes of scientific graph construction from the perspective of the problem solving process. Ten 9th graders participated in this study. They constructed a scientific graph based on pictorial data depicting precipitation reaction. The think-aloud method was used in order to investigate their thinking processes deeply. Their activities were videotaped, and semi-structured interviews were also conducted. The analysis of the results revealed that their processes of scientific graph construction could be classified into four types according to the problem solving strategy and the level of representations utilized. Students using the structural strategy succeeded in constructing scientific graph regardless of the level of representation utilized, by analyzing the data and identifying the trend based on the propositional knowledge about the target concept of the graph. Students of random strategy-higher order representation type were able to succeed in constructing scientific graph by systematically analyzing the characteristics of the data using various representations, and considering the meaning of the graph constructed in terms of the scientific context. On the other hand, students of random strategy-lower order representation type failed to construct correct scientific graph by constructing graph in a way of simply connecting points, and checking the processes of graph construction only without considering the scientific context. On the bases of the results, effective methods for improving students' ability to construct scientific graphs are discussed.

An analysis of errors in problem solving of the function unit in the first grade highschool (고등학교 1학년 함수단원 문제해결에서의 오류에 대한 분석)

  • The purpose of mathematics education is to develop the ability of transforming various problems in general situations into mathematics problems and then solving the problem mathematically. Various teaching-learning methods for improving the ability of the mathematics problem-solving can be tried. However, it is necessary to choose an appropriate teaching-learning method after figuring out students' level of understanding the mathematics learning or their problem-solving strategies. The error analysis is helpful for mathematics learning by providing teachers more efficient teaching strategies and by letting students know the cause of failure and then find a correct way. The following subjects were set up and analyzed. First, the error classification pattern was set up. Second, the errors in the solving process of the function problems were analyzed according to the error classification pattern. For this study, the survey was conducted to 90 first grade students of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$high school in Chung-nam. They were asked to solve 8 problems in the function part. The following error classification patterns were set up by referring to the preceding studies about the error and the error patterns shown in the survey. (1)Misused Data, (2)Misinterpreted Language, (3)Logically Invalid Inference, (4)Distorted Theorem or Definition, (5)Unverified Solution, (6)Technical Errors, (7)Discontinuance of solving process The results of the analysis of errors due to the above error classification pattern were given below First, students don't understand the concept of the function completely. Even if they do, they lack in the application ability. Second, students make many mistakes when they interpret the mathematics problem into different types of languages such as equations, signals, graphs, and figures. Third, students misuse or ignore the data given in the problem. Fourth, students often give up or never try the solving process. The research on the error analysis should be done further because it provides the useful information for the teaching-learning process.

Effect of Heat Treatment on the Formation Behavior of Intermetallic Compound Layer in Fusion Bonding of Cast Iron and Al Alloy (용융 접합한 주철 - Al 합금의 금속간화합물 층 형성 거동에 미치는 열처리의 영향)

  • Fusion bonding of cast iron and Al alloy is an effective way to improve the properties such as low inertia, high efficiency and corrosion resistance in machinery parts. In case of fusion bonding, intermetallic compound layers are formed at the interface between cast iron and Al alloy interface. It is important to control the intermetallic compound layers for improving bonding strength. The formation behavior of intermetallic compound layer by heat treatment has been investigated. Heat treatment was performed at temperature from $600^{\circ}C$ to $800^{\circ}C$ with $100^{\circ}C$ interval for an hour to investigate the phase transformation during heat treatment. Heat treated specimens were analyzed by using FE-SEM, EPMA and EDS. The EPMA/WDS results revealed that various phases were formed at the interface, which exhibited 4 distinct intermetallic compound layers such as ${\tau}_6-Al_{4.5}FeSi$, ${\tau}_2-Al_3FeSi$, ${\tau}_{11}-Al_5Fe_2Si $and ${\eta}-Al_5Fe_2$. Also, fine precipitation of ${\tau}_1-Al_2Fe_3Si_3$ phase was formed between ${\tau}_{11}$ and ${\eta}$ layer. The phase fraction in intermetallic compound layer was changed by heat treatment temperature. At $600^{\circ}C$, intermetallic compound layer of ${\tau}_6$ phase was mainly formed with increasing heat treatment time. With increasing heat treatment temperature to $800^{\circ}C$, however, ${\tau}_2$ phase was mainly distributed in intermetallic compound layer. ${\tau}_1$ phase was remarkably decreased with increasing heat treatment time and temperature.
