  • When the high speed train (KTX) departs from station in the high-speed line, intermittent on-board signal disappearance causes a hindrance of the operation punctuality. Therefore, we have a research objective to verify the causes of hindrance and to find an improvement plan. process of research, when train leaves the station, we applied sand on the rail to improve adhesive power, that sand has an effect on the ATC(Automatic Train Control) signal wave. We detected & analyzed signal waves which is came from detecting device by changing operation condition in accordance with sand material overage detection to be achieved.

  • This study includes noise automatic inspection system for washing machine auto-transmission one of modern home necessary. We effort to find and certificate sound noise source by sound power and sound intensity, and apply to frequency analysis in vibration related sound noise. still more we have been studying to data acquisition and programming for MS VisualBasic version 5.0. System component is below. 1) Pentium PC or data acquisition. 2) DSO for noise acquisition. 3)S/W for comparison and decision. 4) I/F Board for data communication. Wave form data through the DSO are converting to ASCII code data. The ASCII code through binary converting S/W. Finally we will making noise monitoring system and automatic inspection system.

Real Time Relative Radiometric Calibration Processing of Short Wave Infra-Red Sensor for Hyper Spectral Imager

  • In this paper, we proposed real-time relative radiometric calibration processing method for SWIR(Short Wavelength Infra-Red) sensor using 'Hyper-Spectral Imager'. Until now domestic research for Hyper-Spectral Imager has been performing with foreign sensor device. So we have been studying hyper spectral sensor device to meet domestic requirement, especially military purpose. To improve detection & identify capability in 'Hyper-Spectral Imager', it is necessary to expend sensing wavelength from visual and NIR(Near Infra-Red) to SWIR. We aimed to design real-time processor for SWIR sensor which can control the sensor ROIC(Read-Out IC) and process calibrate the image. To build Hyper-Spectral sensor device, we will review the SWIR sensor and its signal processing board. And we will analyze relative radiometric calibration processing method and result. We will explain several SWIR sensors, our target sensor and its control method, steps for acquisition of reference images and processing result.

Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Pressure Variation of KTX Passing Through Tunnel

  • Experimental study has been conducted to clarify the internal and external pressure variation characteristics for KTX(Korea Train eXpress) passing through tunnel. Abrupt pressure variation gives rise to the ear-discomfort for passenger and fatigue for car body. In this study, the internal and external pressure variation are measured by using KTX real train experiment and on-board portable data acquisition system in Gyeongbu high speed commercial line. The tunnels from 200 m to 4000 m in length are chosen for the investigation of tunnel length effects. From the results of experiment, the internal pressure variation rate for all the test tunnels is lower than the standard criteria of 200 Pa/s. And, the critical tunnel lengths for pressure wave pattern are classified into 7 groups by using the theoretical L-t diagram analysis.

  • The mobile robot is used as an instrument of transportation in automated plant. But the greater part of the moving method is the wheel-type. The wheel-type robot is easier control than the track-type, However the track-type is better than the wheel-type in bad landform(bend landform, an incline plane, stairs). In this paper, we propose the navigation algorithm of track-type robot in order to improve a defect of wheel-type. We experiment in bend landfrom and even ground to differentiate the navigation method. To estimate robot pose, we use the 80196 in a close distance and the vision-board in a long distance. Each data is managed in main PC and then the part of managing correspond to every sensor. We also use twelve supersonic wave-sensors to recognize external surroundings. As the result of experiment, we analyze the algorithm of control and make possible surroundings-adaptation.

A Study on Wideband Parabolic Gain Equalizer Design for High Power Transmitter (고출력 배열 송신기용 광대역 타원형 이득 등화기 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we present new structure of wideband parabolic gain equalizer for TWT applied to printed circuit board. The gain equalizer is manufactured by using design variables of transmission line obtained from derived formulae. We compared the test results of two equalizers(reference equalizer and our equalizer). From that, we confirmed the validity of presented method. The presented equalizer is 1/3 times lighter, 1/2.7 times smaller and 1/10 times chipper than those of reference equalizer(Inmet company), respectively.

  • 오늘날 전자기파의 영향은, 제어장비의 내부에 있는 기판의 전자 부품에 전자기적인 충격을 주어 장비의 오동작이나 고장을 일으키는 등 심각한 문제들이 제기 되고 있다. 이러한 임펄스 전자기파는 제어 장치에 연결된 제어전선으로 타고 들어와서 전자장비 내부의 부품들과 반사,공진등을 일으켜서 결국에는 PCB(printed circuit board)에 손상을 입혀서 그 장치들을 사용 못하게 할 수가 있다. 주파수가 광대역인 50MHz 에서 800MHz 까지의 EMI(electro magnetic interference)환경을 만들 수 있는 장치를 제작 하였다. 이러한 UWB(ultra wide band)장치는 고전압펄스를 압축 성형하여, 동작시간이 아주 빠른 ultra fast 스위치를 통해서, 펄스의 기림 시간이 수백ps의 파형을 만들어, 안테나로 전송하여 공간으로 방사시키는 장치에 대해 설계 제작하여 실험한 결과에 대해 논하고자 한다.

  • 액체탱크의 레벨을 정밀측정하는 데 FMCW(Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave)를 이용하고자 한다. 우리는 1GHz 대역폭으로 Sweep하는 Frequency Source Module을 개발하여 테스트 중이다. 개발한 송수신 모듈은 주파수의 송수신을 위한 주요부품들로 구성되는데, VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), 서큘레이터(Circulator), 필터(Filter), 전력분배기(Power Divider), PLL(Phase Locked Loop)제어부, 믹서, 증폭기 등이 그것이다. 이들 부품들이 위치한 RF Board와, 패치로 구성한 안테나를 이용하여 마이크로웨이브 신호를 송수신할 수 있으며, 송수신한 신호 간의 차주파수(beat frequency)성분을 측정하면 거리정보를 획득할 수 있다. 차주파수의 아날로그신호는 DSP를 이용하여 FFT를 수행하여 주파수 성분을 찾아 거리계산을 하도록 개발하였다. 거리 측정의 성능에 영향을 미치는 가장 큰 요소는 안정된 주파수를 만들어 낼 수 있느냐 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 제작한 VCO 모듈을 비롯한 개발 중인 각 모듈들을 소개하였다. 향후 VCO의 선형성 개선과, 난반사에 대한 Echo Cancel 알고리듬을 적용하여 제품의 상용화를 목표로 한다.

  • This research presented in this paper focuses on a system development for checking stator's wedge of large generator in heavy industry. The system is composed of impactor, A/D converter and digital signal processing board. Also this paper proposes a method for detection of stator's insulating state using analysis algorithm. As developed impact system is acting, impact wave is generated real time and transferred data to microprocessor. Using communication program this signal move microprocessor to hard directory of note book with 1000 data/sec. The developed system and analysis program performed very well by real stator's wedge in large generator.

  • Machines on board a ship are mounted on decks and transmit its structure-borne sound to the deck through resilient mounts. To predict the ship noise generated by the structure-borne sound of the machine, It is necessary to estimate the vibration level of the base structure. In this paper, a simple dynamic model is considered for vibration isolation systems consisting of a source, an isolator, and a base structure. The high frequency mobilities of the simple base structure are reviewed and wave effects in the mount are discussed in relation to isolation performance.
