세관내 R-22 대체냉매의 응축열전달에 관한 연구 (The Condensation Heat Transfer of Alternative Refrigerants for R-22 in Small Diameter Tubes)

  • The condensation heat transfer coefficients of pure refrigerants R-22, R-134a, and a binary refrigerant mixture R-410A flowing in a small diameter tube were investigated. The experiment apparatus consists of a refrigerant loop and a water loop. The main components of the refrigerant loop consist of a variable-speed pump, a mass flowmeter, an evaporator, and a condenser(test section). The water loop consists of a variable-speed pump, an isothermal tank, and a flowmeter. The condenser is a counterflow heat exchanger with refrigerant flowing in the inner tube and water flowing in the annulus. The test section consists of smooth, horizontal copper tube of 3.38mm outer diameter and 1.77mm inner diameter. The length of test section is 1220mm. The refrigerant mass fluxes varied from 450 to 1050kg/(㎡$.$s) and the average inlet and outlet qualities were 0.05 and 0.95, respectively. The main results were summarized as follows ; in the case of single-phase flow, the heat transfer coefficients increase with increasing mass flux. The heat transfer coefficient of R-410A was higher than that of R-22 and R-134a, and the heat transfer for small diameter tubes were about 20% to 27% higher than those predicted by Gnielinski. In the case of two-phase flow, the heat transfer coefficients also increase with increasing mass flux and quality. The condensation heat transfer coefficient of R-410A was slightly higher than that of R-22 and R-134a. Most of correlations proposed in the large diameter tube showed significant deviations with experimental data except for the ranges of low quality and low mass flux.

회류수조를 이요한 자루그물의 가상질량 추정 (Estimation of the Virtual Mass of Conical Nets using Circulating Water Channel)

  • 수중에서 운동하는 그물어구의 가상질량은 어구의 운동을 해석하고 제어하는데 중요한 파라미터이다. 본 연구에서는 트롤어구의 가상질량을 추정하기 위해서 현재 트롤 어구에서 사용되고 있는 여러 종류의 그물감을 이용해서 자루그물을 제작하여 속도제어가 가능한 회류수조를 이용하여 가상 질량이 망지의 규격 및 망사의 부피 등과 어떤 관계가 있는지를 분석하였고, 실제어구의 가상질량 계산에 적용하여 보았다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 재료의 양은 같이 하고 순수하게 영각만을 달리한 각 그물에 대해 영각이 클수록 저항이 더 크게 나타났다. 2. 저항계수 (C 하(d))는 레이놀즈수(Re)에 따라 점점 감소하는 경향을 보이며, 식으로 나타내면 다음과 같았다. C 하(d)=0.039Re 상(-0.1474) 3. 망지의 표면적(TSA, Twine Surface Area)이 클수록 저항 값이 크게 나타났으며 식으로 나타내면 다음과 같다. R=21.398TSA 상(-0.4219) 4. 질량계수(C 하(M))는 유속(U)이 증가함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 나타내며 실험식은 다음과 같다. C 하(M)=37.557U-8.9684 5. 가상질량은 망사의 체적(V)과 d/l에 각각 비례관계를 나타냈다.

CFD를 이용한 패들교반속도에 따른 속도경사 및 총물질전달시간 산정 (Evaluation of Local Velocity Gradient and Total Mass transfer Time at Various Rotating Velocity by Using Computational Fluid Dynamics)

  • Velocity gradient, G, a measure of the average velocity gradient in the fluid has been applied for complete mixing of chemicals in mechanical mixing devices. G values were calculated by the power input transferred to fluid in turbulent and transient range. Chemical reactions occur so fast that total mass transfer time required for even distribution of the chemicals determine the overall reaction time. The total mass transfer time is composed of the time for complete mixing through the reactor and for diffusion of the chemicals into the eddy. Complete mixing time was calculated by CFD (computer fluid dynamics) and evaluated by tracer tests in 2 liter jars at different rotating speeds. Turbulent range, Reynolds number above 10,000 in regular 2 liter jars occurred at revolution speed above 100 rpm (revolution per minute), while laminar range occurred at revolution speed below 10 rpm. A typical range of rotating speed used in jar tests for water and wastewater treatment was between 10 and 300 rpm, which covered both transient and turbulent range. G values supplied from a commercial jar test apparatus showed big difference from those calculated with power number specially in turbulent range. Diffusion time through eddy decreased 1.5 power-law of rotating speed. Complete mixing time determined by pumping number decreased increases in rotating speed. Total mass transfer time, finally, decreases as rotating speed increases, and it becomes 1 sec at rotating speed of 1,000 rpm. Complete mixing times evaluated from tracer tests showed higher than those calculated by power number at higher rotating speed. Complete mixing times, however, calculated by CFD showed similar to those of experimentally evaluated ones.

  • In general, the evaluation of water supply capacity is important factor to establish various establishment of water resource supply plan include water resource security and determination of dam's mass. But former researchs about estimation of water supply capacity were lack in continunity of evaluation basis, and didn't excute analysis on reliability criteria also. In this study, Nakdong river was selected for study basin, and then water supply capacity was analyzed by HEC-5 model using identical reliability criteria.

단면 유속관측을 통한 조석 유입구에서의 단면통과 유량 및 조량 산정 (Estimation of Net Flux of Water Mass and Tidal Prism at a Tidal Entrance through Bottom Tracking with ADCP)

  • 본 연구에서는 조석 유입구에서의 단면통과 유량 및 조량 산정을 목적으로 목포해역 내 조석 유입구에서 ADCP를 이용한 단면 유속관측이 수행되었다. 우선, 원시 관측자료는 지배적인 유속성분 도출을 위하여 단면의 회전정도를 고려한 좌표회전이 수행되었으며, 정규화를 통하여 수평/수직방향 Sigma 좌표로 변환되었다. 또한, 관측이 이루어지지 않는 저면과 수면 근처의 Blank zone 데이터는 von-Karman 유속분포식을 이용하여 보간되었다. 보정된 자료를 이용하여 단면통과 유량이 정량적으로 산정되었는데, 조석에 따른 단면통과 유량의 변화양상 뿐만 아니라 목포해역의 낙조우세적 조석특성이 잘 나타나는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 과거 연구들에서 제시되는 조량 산정자료의 조석조건을 보완하여 현장 관측자료에 기반한 조량산정 방법의 조건이 재정립되었으며, 새로운 정의에 근거하여 조석 유입구에서의 단면 유속관측 자료를 이용한 조량의 정량적 산정이 국내 최초로 수행되었다. 조량 산정결과는 과거 연구들로부터 도출된 조량과 조석 유입구 흐름 단면적의 상관관계 결과와 비교 분석되었으며, 산정된 결과는 과거 연구결과들과 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

암반 공동 열에너지저장소 주변 암반의 수리적 조건에 따른 열-수리-역학적 연계거동 분석 (Effects of Hydrological Condition on the Coupled Thermal-Hydrological-Mechanical Behavior of Rock Mass Surrounding Cavern Thermal Energy Storage)

  • 본 연구에서는 천부의 암반 공동에 대용량 고온의 열에너지를 저장하는 경우 주변 암반에 야기되는 열-수리-역학적 연계거동을 살펴보고, 이에 지하수위와 암반 투수계수 등 수리적 조건이 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 해석대상을 투수계수가 비교적 낮은 수준($10^{-17}m^2$)인 결정질 암반으로 가정할 때 열에너지 저장으로 인한 암반 거동에 지하수가 미치는 영향은 크지 않을 것으로 예측되었다. 저장 공동이 지하수위 하부에 위치하는 경우의 온도, 주응력, 변위 분포 등은 저장공동이 불포화대에 위치하는 경우와 거의 동일하게 나타났다. 암반내 열전달 특성은 암반의 투수계수에 매우 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 암반의 투수계수를 $10^{-15}m^2$ 이하로 가정한 경우 열전달은 주로 암반에 전도에 의한 것으로 판단할 수 있었으나, 투수계수를 $10^{-12}m^2$으로 가정하는 경우 지하수 대류에 의한 상향 열유동이 뚜렷이 관찰되었다. 암반 투수계수의 크기에 따라 열수의 대류나 비등으로 인한 상변화 등 복합적인 유동 특성을 나타났으며, 온도, 압력, 포화도 분포가 상이하게 발달하였다.

해양-빙붕 상호작용을 고려한 남극 테라노바 만에서 수괴 형성과 순환의 수치 시뮬레이션 (Numerical Simulation of Ocean - Ice Shelf Interaction: Water Mass Circulation in the Terra Nova Bay, Antarctica)

  • The interaction between ocean and ice shelf is a critical physical process in relation to water mass transformations and ice shelf melting/freezing at the ocean-ice interface. However, it remains challenging to thoroughly understand the process due to a lack of observational data with respect to ice shelf cavities. This is the first study to simulate the variability and circulation of water mass both overlying the continental shelf and underneath an ice shelf and an ice tongue in the Terra Nova Bay (TNB), East Antarctica. To explore the properties of water mass and circulation patterns in the TNB and the corresponding effects on sub ice shelf basal melting, we explicitly incorporate the dynamic-thermodynamic processes acting on the ice shelf in the Regional Ocean Modeling System. The simulated water mass formation and circulation in the TNB region agree well with previous studies. The model results show that the TNB circulation is dominated by the geostrophic currents driven by lateral density gradients induced by the releasing of brine or freshwater at the polynya of the TNB. Meanwhile, the circulation dynamics in the cavity under the Nansen Ice shelf (NIS) are different from those in the TNB. The gravity-driven bottom current induced by High Salinity Shelf Water (HSSW) formed at the TNB polynya flows towards the grounding line, and the buoyance-driven flow associated with glacial meltwater generated by the HSSW emerges from the cavity along the ice base. Both current systems compose the thermohaline overturning circulation in the NIS cavity. This study estimates the NIS basal melting rate to be 0.98 m/a, which is comparable to the previously observed melt rate. However, the melting rate shows a significant variation in space and time.

GC-MS에 의한 지표수에서 1,4-Dioxane의 측정 (Measurement of 1,4-dioxane in surface water by headspace GC-MS)

  • 1,4-dioxane은 국제 암연구소에서 2B의 발암물질로 분류하고 있는 물질이다.지표수 중에 1,4-dioxane을 headspace gas chromatographic mass spectrometry에 의해 측정하였다. 시료 5 mL를 10 mL 헤드스페이스 vial에서 넣고 NaCl로 포화시킨 후 내부표준물질로 1,4-dioxane-d8 첨가한 후 $90^{\circ}C$에서 30분간 가열하였다. 위의 방법을 사용하여 금강 22개 지점에서 2012년 6월과 9월 시료 채취하여 분석한 결과 $0.49-43.0{\mu}g/L$ (평균 $2.0{\mu}g/L$)의 범위로 약 30%의 빈도로 검출되었다.

생태계모텔에 의한 진해만의 빈산소수괴 저감예측 (Numerical Prediction for Reduction of Oxygen Deficient Water Mass by Ecological Model in Jinhae Bay)

  • As a basic study for establishing a countermeasure for an oxygen deficient water mass (ODW), we investigated the variation of ODW volume according to the enforced total pollution load management in Jinhae Bay. This study estimated the inflowing pollutant loads into Jinhae Bay and predicted the reduction in ODW by using a sediment-water ecological model (SWEM). The result obtained in this study are summarized as follows: 1) The daily average pollutant loads of COD, SS, TN, TP, DIN, and DIP inflowing into Jinhae bay in 2005 were estimated to be about 12,218 kg-COD/day, 91,884 kg-SS/day, 5,292 kg-TN/day, 182 kg-TP/day, 4,236 kg-DIN/day, and 130 kg-DIP/day. 2) The calculated results of the tidal current by the hydrodynamic model showed good agreement with the observed currents. Also, an ecological model well reproduced the spatial distribution of the water quality in the bay. 3) This study defined the ODWDI (ODW decreasing index) in order to estimate the ODW decreasing volume caused by a reduction in the inflowing pollutant loads. As a result, the ODWDI was predicted to be about 0.91 (COD 30% reduction), 0.87 (COD 50% reduction), 0.79 (COD 70% reduction), 0.85 (ALL 30% reduction), 0.66 (ALL 50% reduction), and 0.45 (ALL 70% reduction). The ODW volume was decreased 1.5 $\sim$ 2.6 times with a reduction in the COD, TN, and TP inflowing pollutant loads compared to a reduction in just the COD inflowing pollutant load. Therefore, it is necessary to enforce total pollution load management, not only for COD, but also fm TN and TP.

Water vapor in high-mass star-forming regions and PDRs: the Herschel/HIFI view

  • Massive stars play a major role in the interstellar energy budget and the shaping of the galactic environment. The water molecule is thought to be a sensitive tracer of physical conditions and dynamics in star-forming regions because of its large abundance variations between hot and cold regions. Herschel/HIFI allows us to observe the multiple rotational transitions of H2O including the ground-state levels, and its isotopologues toward high-mass star-forming regions in different evolutionary stages. Photodissociation regions (PDRs) are also targeted to investigate the distribution of water and its chemistry. We present line profiles and maps of H2O using data from two guaranteed-time key programs "Water In Star-forming regions with Herschel" and "Herschel observations of EXtra-Ordinary Sources". We analyze the temperature and density structures using LTE and non-LTE methods. We also estimate turbulent and expansion velocities, and abundance of water in the inner and outer envelopes using the 1D radiative transfer code. Around high-mass protostars we find H2O abundances of ~10-8-10-9 for the outer envelope and ~10-4-10-5 for the inner envelope, and expansion and turbulent velocities range from 1.0 km s-1 to 2.0 km s-1. The abundances and kinematic parameters of the sources do not show clear trends with evolutionary indicators. The Herschel/HIFI mapping observations of H2O toward the Orion Bar PDR show that H2O emission peaks between the shielded dense gas and the radicals position, in agreement with the theoretical and the observational PDR structure. The derived H2O abundance is ~10-7 and peaks at the depth of AV ~8 mag from the ionization front. Together with the low ortho-to-para ratio of H2O (~1) presented by Choi et al. (2014), our results show that the chemistry of water in the Orion Bar is dominated by photodesorption and photodissociation.
