  • UV-curable electrolytes inks were prepared by dissolving [2-[(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]dimethyl]propylaminium bromide (MEPAB), 1,5-[bis(2-methacryloxyethyl)dimethyl ammono]penthane dibromide (MDAPD), hexafunctional reactive oligomer (SP1013), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA) and a photoinitiator in methanol/2-methoxyethanol. The compositions of the electrolyte inks were MEPAB/MDAPD/SP1013/TMPTA=6/24/17.2/12.8, 15/15/17.2/12.8 and 24/6/17.2/12.8. Humid-membranes were deposited on a gold electrode/alumina electrode using an ink-jet printer equipped with a UV lamp followed by immediate UV curing. The humidity-sensing characteristics including hysteresis, frequency and temperature dependence, response time and water durability were estimated.

  • The microcapsule for thermochromism is based on the polymerization reaction between epoxy resin and amine curing agent. The preparation process of microcapsule is based on dissolving or dispersing a hydrophobic core materials[one-dye-black(OBD), bis-phenol A(BPA), cetyl alcohol] in an aqueous solution of gelatin, epoxy resin and isophorondiamine(IPDA) ; the gelatin and IPDA used as a dispersion stabilizer and an hardening agent, respectively. The structures of epoxy resin and microcapsule materials have been analyzed by FT-IR and UV/Vis spectra. The mean diameter and size distribution of microcapsule are 1.46~1.75${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 1.42, respectively. The DSC thermograms of microcapsules indicated 2 kinds of endothermic peaks at 47 and 322$^{\circ}C$. This is possibly corresponding to the melting peak of core material and wall meterial. These microcapsules are applied to the fabric by printing. Complex finished fabric showed a good wear resistance on rubbing test and the print pattern to the cotton fabric showed a reversible thermochromism ; ${\mu}_{max}$ are 580 nm below 4$0^{\circ}C$ and 276.5nm above 4$0^{\circ}C$ in ethanol/water(2/8), respectively.

  • Prediction for the compressive strength of concrete by non-destructive tests(NDT) has a tendency to show different outcomes according to various aggregates. The purpose of this study is to develop estimation equation by rebound number, ultrasonic velocity and combined method at concrete structures which used granite as coarse aggregates. The test variable is water/cement ratio(41.1%, 48.6%, 67.6%), curing method(moisture condition, dry condition) and age(7, 14, 28, 56). According to the test variable, new equation was suggested, and compared with the existing equations.

  • The main objective of this study is to prepare the bionanocomposite films using mungbean starch (MBS), PVA, ZnS, and plasticizers, and to evaluate the physical properties, thermal stability, and photocatalytic activity. The bionanocomposite films were cross-linked by heat-curing process. The ZnS and bionanocomposite films were characterized by FT-IR, XRD, and SEM. The results indicated that the mechanical properties and water resistance enhanced up to 1.2-1.5 times by the addition of nano-ZnS particles, and the thermal stability was improved by the addition of nano-ZnS particles. The photocatalytic activity of the bionanocomposite films added nano-ZnS particles was examined using bisphenol A (BPA) and methyl orange (MO). In addition, the photodegradation efficiency of BPA and MO was evaluated using the pseudo-first order kinetic model (PFOK).

  • This paper is aimed at adapting Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) to predict the compressive strength of High Performance Concrete (HPC) containing binary and quaternary blends. The investigations were done on 23 HPC mixes, and specimens were cast and tested after 7, 28 and 56 days curing. The obtained experimental datas of 7, 28 and 56 days are trained using ANN which consists of eight input parameters like cement, metakaolin, blast furnace slag and fly ash, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, superplasticizer and water binder ratio. The corresponding output parameters are 7, 28 and 56 days compressive strengths. The predicted values obtained using ANN show a good correlation between the Experimental data. The performance of the 8-9-3-3 architecture was better than other architectures. It concluded that ANN tool is convenient and time saving for predicting compressive strength at different ages.

  • The mechanical properties and microstructures of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN)-reinforced cement composites are experimentally studied for three and seven curing days. Various sizes (5, 10, and 18 ㎛) and concentrations (0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1.0%) of h-BN are dispersed by the tip ultrasonication method in water and incorporated into the cement composite. The compressive strength of the h-BN reinforced cements increases by 40.9%, when 0.5 wt% of 18 ㎛-sized h-BN is added. However, the compressive strength decreases when the 1.0 wt% cement composite is added, owing to the aggregation of the h-BNs in the cement composite. The microstructural characterization of the h-BN-reinforced cement composite indicates that the h-BNs act as bridges connecting the cracks, resulting in improved mechanical properties for the reinforced cement composite.

  • To prepare the waterborne silicone acrylic resin coatings, acrylic resin was prepared by a radical polymerization. Glass transition temperature(Tg) of the acrylic copolymer was fixed at 30℃ and the contents of tertiary amine monomer(DMAEMA), were varied to be 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt%, hydroxyl monomer, and carboxyl monomer were fixed 10 wt%, and 4 wt% respectively. γ-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane(GPTMS) containing epoxy group was used for curing agents. The eqivalent ratio of amine to epoxy was 1:1. The prepared coatings exhibited excellent adhesion to various substrates, and various physical properties of the coatings were satisfactory. The gloss retension and color difference were improved at low tertiary amine concentration. The coatings containing 10wt% tertiary amine concentration have especially good weather resistant properties.

  • In this study, we confirmed the basic characteristics of paste and mortar 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 composition using concrete sludge solid content for the purpose of developing a resource-recycling cement secondary products. The 1:2 mortar formulation showed the best compressive strength. The steam curing strength is superior in the order of C20, BS40, BS20 and Control. it is judged that the FA combination is not suitable.

  • This study aims to build a deep learning model that can predict the value of concrete mixing properties according to a given concrete strength value. A model was created for a total of 1,291 concrete data, including 8 characteristics related to concrete mixing elements and environment, and the compressive strength of concrete. As the deep learning model, DNN-3L-256N, which showed the best performance on the prior study, was used. The average value for each characteristic of the data set was used as the initial input value. In results, in the case of 'curing temperature', which had a narrow range of values in the existing data set, showed the lowest error rate with less than 1% error based on MAE. The highest error rate with an error of 12 to 14% for fly and bfs.

  • The compressive strength of concrete is greatly affected by the temperature inside the concrete at the initial age immediately after pouring. In the KCI Concrete Standard Specification, only the temperature correction strength (Tn) according to the curing temperature is applied in the mixing strength calculation formula, and mSn is not considered. The formula based on the Chrino model of the blast furnace slag concrete was calculated, and the strength of the structural concrete and the strength of the water cured specimen in the same mixture were compared with the predicted strength. As a result, the error between the predicted strength and the measured strength was greater in the structural concrete than in the concrete specimen.
