This study examined the effect of curing conditions on the compressive strength of dry mortar for floor. The compressive strength according to the relative humidity during curing was compared, and the influence of expansive additives on compressive strength under water curing was reviewed. As a result, low relative humidity conditions during curing was not effective in improving the compressive strength of dry mortar for floor, and it was judged that the continuous hydration reaction insufficient due to lack of the moisture supply. In order to improve compressive strength, high relative humidity maintenance was found to be an important factor. However, under water curing conditions, the compressive strength has decreased as a result of continuous volume expansion due to the use of the expansive additives.

In this paper, physical properties of cement mortar for floor using expansion agent are discussed varied with mixing time and curing temperature, delivery time and content of added water for preventing fluidity loss. According to experimental results, slump loss shows high with elapse of time And as curing temperature goes up, it also show high when curing temperature goes up and time lag between mixing and casting increases. As curing temperature goes down, drying shrinkage shows to be decreased. But it shows decline tendency with increase of added water content.

This study is performed to examine pH reduction by neutralization treatment and curing condition of porous concrete using rice straw ash for planting. Test results show that pH of porous concrete without neutralization treatment in the dry and water curing is 10.34 ∼ 10.57 and 9.42 ∼ 9.72, respectively. pH of porous concrete by neutralization treatment in the dry and water curing is 9.72 ∼ 10.03 and 9.00 ∼ 9.37, respectively. Accordingly, the best method for pH reduction of porous concrete for planting is to use water curing and neutralization treatment.

This study has been carried out to examine the properties of concrete according to replacement ratio and curing method of fly ash, in order to increase utilization of it. As the result of experiments, the 7 days of early age strength presented around 20MPa, up to 20% of replacement ratio, which is almost the same strength as non-replacement. However, when the replacement ratio was 30%, the strength was decreased to 16MPa, as 20% reduction compared to the non-replacement condition. In 365 days of long term aging, the strength was 5% higher, up to 20% of the replacement ratio, due to the pozzolanic reaction of fly ash. When the replacement ratio was 30%, it presented similar strength development as the non-replacement condition. Steam curing and autoclave curing increased the short age strength, regardless of the replacement ratio of fly ash; however, they don't have an effect on increasing the 365 days of long term strength. Water curing showed high strength development after 28 days, 51.81MPa, which is around 30% higher than air curing, 38.9MPa, steam curing, 38.6MPa, and autoclave curing, 39MPa. Therefore, water curing was examined as one of the very effective curing methods for developing long term strength of concrete.

Typical high-performance concrete (HPC) mixtures are characterized by low water-cementitious material ratios, high cement contents, and the incorporation of admixtures. In spite of its superior properties in the hardened state, HPC suffers from many practical difficulties such as its sensitivity to early-age cracking (which is associated with self-desiccation and autogenous shrinkage). In this context, conventional curing procedures are not sufficiently effective to address these limitations. In order to overcome this issue, two strategies, which are based on the use of internal reservoirs of water, have been recently developed. One of these strategies is based on the use of lightweight aggregates (LWA), while the other is based on the use of superabsorbent polymers (SAP). This paper studies and compares the efficiency of the LWA and SAP approaches. Moreover, some of the theoretical aspects that should be taken into account to optimize their application for internal curing of HPC are also discussed. Two fine LWA's and one SAP are studied in terms of autogenous deformation and compressive strength. Increasing the amounts of LWAor SAP can lead to a reduction of the autogenous deformation and compressive strength (especially when adding large amounts). By selecting appropriate materials and controlling their amount, size, and porosity, highly efficient internal water curing can be ensured.
The aim of this paper is to investigate the effect of quartz powder (Qp), quartz sand (Qs), and different water curing temperature on mechanical properties including 7, 14, 28-day compressive strength and 28-day splitting tensile strength of Ultra High Performance Concrete and also finding the correlation between these variables on mechanical properties of UHPC. The response surface methodology was monitored to show the influences of variables and their interactions on mechanical properties of UHPC, then, mathematical models in terms of coded variables were established by ANOVA. The offered models are valid for the variables between: quartz powder 0 to 20% of cement substitution by cement weight, quartz sand 0 to 50% of aggregate substitution by crushed limestone weight, and water curing temperature 25 to $95^{\circ}C$.

When industrial by-products like slag and fly ash are using in concrete with cement, it improves strength and durability against external deterioration factors by densifying the structure through potential hydraulic and pozzolanic reaction. But it has been pointed out that high dependence on the quality variation and the curing condition using a admixure material for concrete. In this study, the characteristics of internal micropore structure according to curing condition were analyzed for pastes and mortar specimens under using blast furnace slag powder. As a result, the variation of compressive strength and the internal microstructure were observed according to curing conditions by binder type. Particularly, using blast furnace slag powder, decrease in compressive strength were clearly observed in indoor and carbonation curing compared with water curing. The pore structure analysis also clearly observed the decrease of the gel pore existing in the CSH hydrate layer and the increase of the capillary pore in indoor and carbonation curing compared with water curing condition.
The influence of subsequent curing on the performance of fly ash contained mortar under steam curing was studied. Mortar samples incorporated with different content (0%, 20%, 50% and 70%) of Class F fly ash under five typical subsequent curing conditions, including standard curing (ZS), water curing(ZW) under 25℃, oven-dry curing (ZD) under 60℃, frozen curing (ZF) under -10℃, and nature curing (ZN) exposed to outdoor environment were implemented. The unsteady chloride diffusion coefficient was measured by rapid chloride migration test (RCM) to analyze the influence of subsequent curing condition on the resistance to chloride penetration of fly ash contained mortar under steam curing. The compressive strength was measured to analyze the mechanical properties. Furthermore, the open porosity, mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), x-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were examined to investigate the pore characteristics and phase composition of mortar. The results indicate that the resistance to chloride ingress and compressive strength of steam-cured mortar decline with the increase of fly ash incorporated, regardless of the subsequent curing condition. Compared to ZS, ZD and ZF lead to poor resistance to chloride penetration, while ZW and ZN show better performance. Interestingly, under different fly ash contents, the declining order of compressive strength remains ZS>ZW>ZN>ZD>ZF. When the fly ash content is blow 50%, the open porosity grows with increase of fly ash, regardless of the curing conditions are diverse. However, if the replacement amount of fly ash exceeds a certain high proportion (70%), the value of open porosity tends to decrease. Moreover, the main phase composition of the mortar hydration products is similar under different curing conditions, but the declining order of the C-S-H gels and ettringite content is ZS>ZD>ZF. The addition of fly ash could increase the amount of harmless pores at early age.

When the Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) is added into concrete, the slump decreases rapidly, deteriorating the workability, the internal curing effect can be obtained through the water absorption and discharge process, and the internal voids of the concrete are increased. In this study, the effects of internal curing and voids were evaluated by evaluating the compressive strength, freeze-thaw resistance, and chloride penetration resistance of SAP-adding concrete that secured workability using a water reducing agent. Also, the internal curing effect of SAP was evaluated by dividing the curing conditions of concrete into water curing and sealed curing. From the result, as the SAP adding ratio increased, the amount of water reducing agent increased, and as for the compressive strength, the SAP adding ratio of 1.5% showed the greatest compressive strength. In particular, in the case of sealed curing showed higher compressive strength than the water curing. It is considered that the compressive strength increased due to the reduction of the effective water-cement ratio and the internal curing effect. Adding 1.0~1.5% of SAP improved the freeze-thaw resistance similar to the case of adding the AE agent, and the addition of more than 1.0% of SAP improved the chloride penetration resistance. The optimal adding ratio of SAP is 1.5%, and the adding ratio of 2.0% or more adversely affects the compressive strength and freeze-thaw resistance.

The objective of this study is to investigate the compressive strength property of antiwashout underwater concrete with curing water through experimental researches. Type of casting and curing water(fresh water, sea water) are used as main experimental parameter, additionally a few variables affecting compressive strength property are used ; water-cement ratio (45%, 48%, 50%, 52%, 55%), and unit weight of admixtures (antiwashout underwater agent ; 0.6%, 0.8%, 1.0%, 1.2%, 1.4% of unit weight of water, superplasticizer ; 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, 2.0%, 2.5% of unit weight of cement)) Compressive strength level of antiwashout underwater concrete which was cast and cured in fresh water is higher than other one. Consequently, incremental modulus has to increase when the antiwashout underwater concrete is made use of underwater work from ocean.
