Composite resin and glass-ionomer cement can be used for the purpose of repair of defective amalgam restoration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate of shear bond strength of esthetic restorative materials to dental amalgam. The materials used in this study were Photo Clearfil Bright(light curing composite resin), Clearfil F II(chemical curing composite resin), Fuji II LC(light curing glass-ionomer cement), Fuji II (chemical curing glass-ionomer cement), All-Bond 2(intermediary), and Scotchbond Multi-Purpose (intermediary). A total of 120 acrylic cylinders with amalgam were divided into 8 groups After amalgam condensation, all specimens were stored for 48 hours in water at $37^{\circ}C$ and tested with Instron universal testing machine between amalgam and composite resins and glass-ionomer cements. The data were analyzes statiscally by ANOVA and Duncan test. The following results obtained ; 1. The shear bond strength of bonded composite resin to amalgam was higher than bonded glass-ionomer cement(P<.001). 2. The group 4 had highest shear bond strength with 15.45kgf/$cm^2$ and the group 5 had lowest shear bond strenght with 3.26kgf/$cm^2$(P<.001). 3. In the group 3, 4, 5, 6, the group 3, 4 with All-Bond 2 had higher shear bond strength than the group 5, 6 with Scotch bond MP both in light-curing and in chemical curing. 4. Both in composite resin and glass-ionomer cement, chemical curing materials had higher shear bond stength than light curing materials(P<.001).
In order to investigate the strength recovery of fire-damaged concrete after post-fire curing, concrete specimens were heating at $2^{\circ}C/min$ or $5^{\circ}C/min$ to 400, 600 and $800^{\circ}C$, and these exposed specimens were soaked in the water for 24 hours and following by 29-day post-fire curing. The compressive strength and split tensile strength of the high-temperature-exposed specimens before and after post-fire curing were tested. The proportion of split aggregate in the split surfaces was analyzed to evaluate the mortar-aggregate interfacial strength. After the post-fire curing process, the split tensile strength of specimens exposed to all temperatures was recovered significantly, while the recovery of compressive strength was only obvious within the specimens exposed to $600^{\circ}C$. The tensile strength is more sensitive to the mortar-aggregate interfacial cracks, which caused that the split tensile strength decreased more after high-temperature exposure and recovery more after post-fire curing than the compressive strength. The mortar-aggregate interfacial strength also showed remarkable recovery after post-fire curing, and it contributed to the recovery of split tensile strength.

The strength capacity properties of concrete are much influenced by water content which has a significant effect on concrete spalling, especially, in high temperature areas. Therefore, the properties of the material's shall be closely examined first by measuring the water content in each material in order to analyze Concrete Fire Characteristics, and a reliable measuring method shall be presented in order to derive the following influence. The method used to measure the water content within concrete is mainly divided into 4 types; ASTM method, Nuclear Magnetic method, Ultrasonic measurement method, Radio Wave method, etc. It is essential to use a reliable measuring method for each experiment. In this experiment, we measured the water content and humidity of concrete by two methods; Relative/Absolute humidity method using VISALA HM44 measuring equipment which is easily measurable compared with other methods regardless of the shape of the experimental model, and a water content measuring experiment using ASTM C 566. If the aggregates are under the condition that their surface is dry but in saturation, there is no change of water content according to concrete curing methods. However if the aggregates are absolutely dry, the water content is significantly changed according to concrete curing methods.

Autopolymerized resin facilitates a more rapid and easier means for the construction of removable orthodontic appliances than heat cured resin. But many reports reveal that more unreacted monomer is found in autopolymerized resin. It is very important to achieve maximum degree of polymerization because if polymerization is inadequate, high level of unreacted monomer has been shown to adversely affect mechanical and physical properties, and also the question of allergy or toxicity to methylmethacrylate must be considered. The purpose of this study was to compare the degree of polymerization according to curing method and curing time. Five groups were desinged ; Group 1 was polymerizied at room temperature($28^{\circ}C$) ; Group 2 in $28^{\circ}C$ water ; Group 3 in $28^{\circ}C$ water under 30psi pressure ; Group 4 in $43^{\circ}C$ water ; Group 5 in $43^{\circ}C$ water under 30psi pressure for 10 minutes, 1 hour 12 hours, 1 day and 3 days. The degree of polymerization was measured by means of Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. The results were as follows: 1. The degree of polymerization increased constantly in accordance with curing time in all groups and after curing for 10 minutes, Group 1 showed significantly higher degree of polymerization after 12 hours and Group 2, Group 3, Group 4, Group 5 after 1 hour(p<0.05). 2. The degree of polymerization decreased in the order of Group 5, Group 4, Group 3, Group 2, Group 1 except when the curing time was 1 hour and 12 hours(p<0.05). 3. The degree of polymerization of Group 4, Group 5 cured at $43^{\circ}C$ showed significantly higher degree of polymerization than Group 2, Group 3 at $28^{\circ}C$ except when the curing time was 1 day(p<0.05). 4. Among Group 2, Group 3 and Group 4, Group 5, the pressure had no effect on polymerization except when the curing time was 12 hours(p<0.05). 5. Between Group 1 and Group 2, the method of storage had no effect on polymerization except when the curing time was 1 hour(p<0.05).
The hydration for the system of fluorogypsum and 20wt% blast furnace slag was investigated at liquid/soild ratio of 0.45 for 1, 3, and 7 days by using 3 kinds of accelerators such as K2SO4 Al2(SO4)3 $.$16-18H2O and AlK(SO4)2$.$12H2O After curing the hardened specimen was characterized by the compressive strength the content of combined water XRD, DTA and SEM It was found that the activating effect was increased in the order of K2SO4
Coffee chaff for manufacturing of the 6 mm thick cement-bonded boards was obtained from a coffee processing industry at Omuo-Ekiti, in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Boards were produced with three levels of cement to coffee chaff ratio of 1.5:1, 2.5:1 and 3.5:1; and at three levels of mixing curing reagent of 2.0%, 2.5% and 3.0%. Three dimensional properties of thickness swelling (TS), water absorption (WA) and linear expansion (LE) were investigated after 48 hours immersion in water. The mean values obtained for TS, WA and LE ranged from 0.46% to 1.47%, from 11.52% to 24.00%, from 0.19% to 0.35%, respectively. The most dimensionally stable boards were produced at the highest mixing levels of curing reagent and cement to coffee chaff ratio of 3.0% and 3.5:1, respectively. The coffee chaff is suitable as raw material for the manufacture of cement-bonded composites and it would be able to stimulate and activate the use of other agro-byproducts for the manufacture of value-added panels.

In this study, it is contents to application on AE water reducing admixture for high early strength, which reduce to construction period for cost down in construction. In experiment result on the kinds of AE water reducing admixture for concrete strength promotion, when passed 60 minutes, while it was happened on lignin and naphthalene system about $30\∼35\%$ that loss related to slump, slump flow and air, but happened about $8\∼10\%$ on polycarboxylic system. And the result of compressive strength tests, when 32 hours passed in polycarboxylic system than lignin and naphthalene system, was showing an increase of 10$\%$. Accordingly, concrete properties was measured to condition change by the addition amount and curing temperature of polycarboxylic system. The required curing temperature to gain 5MPa of compressive strength, which is capable of side form stripping, must keep more than smallest 12. 5$^{circ}C$ when polycarboxylic system is used. As a result, AE water reducing admixture of polycarboxylic system may apply effectively to high early strength concrete

In recent years, polymer-modified mortars using polymer dispersions have been widely used as finish and repair materials in the construction industry because of their excellent properties compares to those of ordinary cement mortar. Especially, the adhesion improvement of ordinary cement mortar and concrete has attracted a great deal of attention from researchers, and several unique and simply applicable techniques for the adhesion improvement have been developed. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the abrasion resistance of polymer-modified mortar according various curing methods. The polymer-modified mortar are prepared with various polymer-cement ratios, and are subjected to three curing methods such as dry rure, standard cure and freezing and thawing cure after two curing methods, and then tested for abrasion. From the test results, the polymer-modified mortars with various polymer-cement ratios have some superior abrasion resistance compared with plain mortar. The abrasion resistance of polymer-modified mortars increase with an increase in the polymer-cement ratio, and is better under water cure than any other curing methods. It is concluded that the abrasion resistance of cement mortar is markedly improved by modifying of polymer dispersion.
PURPOSES : This study is to suggest tunnel length to spray curing compound, based on the field tests. METHODS : At first field test, length from the entrance of tunnel to wet wall was checked by visual survey. The second and third test, various sensors were installed in concrete or in tunnel, such as RH sensor, temperature sensor, portable weather station and etc.. And also, test for bleeding and retaining water of concrete were conducted to evaluate environmental effect on concrete pavement. RESULTS : The result of the field experiment for tunnel length to spray curing compound indicates that length changes depending on tunnel length, season, and location. Environmental condition of a short tunnel was not much different between location near entrance and at center of tunnel. However, in case of a medium and long tunnel, effect of outside environmental condition decreased, when location moved into tunnel center of it. CONCLUSIONS : From the testing results, it can be proposed that optimum tunnel length to spray curing compound is 60m for a medium and long tunnel, and whole length for a short tunnel.

Quality of concrete required to achieve the desired levels of strength and durability depend on the effectiveness of the curing method. During cold weather, the concrete at the time of placement should be taken to prevent damage to concrete due to freezing. Since the cement-water reaction is exothermic by nature, the temperature within mass concrete can be quite high. The temperature control for massive sections should be taken more careful than for shallow sections. However, in the constructing hydraulic structures, the curing temperature control for concrete had been very difficult to be taken in a proper way because the conditions constructing them are poor and contractors are small enterprises. For several. reasons including above, Rural Research Institute has developed a device and program for recording curing temperature history in cold weather concrete and mass. As there are two major advantages of the device, namely cheapness and availability, this program and device has been recommended to the use of curing temperature control in cold weather concrete and mass.
