This study analyzed the current state of art by investigating related patents of cycling wear, and suggested fundamental data to develop clothing - originated in Korea. Patent trends were then analyzed after the related patents applied in Korea, USA, and Japan from 1975 to 2015 were extracted using WIPS ON, classified as nation, applicant, technology, use, and technological maturity of the applicant country. The number of patent applications has steadily increased since the 1990s, and has steeply grown since the 2000s. The USA accounted for 55.6% of all collected patents in the study, Japan for 30.6%, and Korea for 13.7%. Technologies related to patterns and functional materials have been dominated by the USA and Japan; however, smart technologies have been actively developed in Korea. According to use, USA focused on functionality, Korea concentrated on safety, and Japan uniformly combined functionality, safety, and convenience. According to the positioning of technology by application, water repellency, stretchability, muscle strengthening, pad, panel, finishing, and weaving technologies were positioned in the functionality.
Purpose : We will develop the distribution method of wide oil extract technology to develop repellent using this technology and study mosquito repellent persistence. Research design, data and methodology : A positive control group containing purified water, ethanol and picaridin was prepared, and the experimental control group was prepared in the same proportion as the positive control group, and 0.6% of broad oil was added. The results were summarized using the calculation method according to the avoidance effect and statistically tested by t-test using the excel statistics program. Results : Experiments on skin surface area and voice control of participants showed that men had 8.9% wider skin surface area than women, and voice control tests showed that women were bitten by mosquitoes five times more than men. Both the positive and the experimental control groups had a valid duration of up to three hours, but from the time of five hours, the positive control group had 77% and the experimental control had 90%, indicating a difference of 14.4% over the positive control group. Conclusions : The mosquito repellents developed in this study on the basis of safety and continuity are cost-effective in terms of mosquito repellent, and in addition fragrance, odor removal, perfume, ink, skin care and massage effect.
Wetting agent is designed to reduce the surface tension of the liquid and spread more easily across or penetrate into the soil against water repellency. The effect of wetting agent to seed germination is not clear. Using germination enhancer is one of the methods to increase the germination speed of turfgrass seeds and to shorten establishment period. The objective of the study was to evaluate germination enhancer and wetting agent for quick establishment of various Kentucky bluegrass cultivars. The germination enhancer was used at two levels of 0.3 and $0.6ml\;kg^{-1}$ as low and high, respectively. Two levels of wetting agent were of 0.46, and $0.92ml\;m^{-2}$ as low and high, respectively. Germination enhancer has no synergistic effect with wetting agent. When quick establishment is required, selection of cultivar would be more effective instead of using germination enhancer and wetting agent. Among Kentucky bluegrass cultivars, 'Award' had the greatest turfgrass coverage for establishment and the greatest turfgrass color and quality based on the result of the study. When quick establishment is required, selection of cultivar would be more effective instead of using germination enhancer and wetting agent.

To prolong freshness and to reduce a decay rate of cut flowers during storage and distribution, a new packaging paper was developed with grapefruit seed extracts(GFSE) as a natural microorganism control agent. The GFSE was fractionated in order to identify antibiotic fractions by HPLC equipped with C18-reverse phase column chromatography. Among the active fractions, three ones were identified as 1-chloro-2-methyl-benzene (ο-toluene), N, N-dimethyl-benzenemethaneamine, and 1-〔2-(2-ethylethoxy)ethoxy〕-4-(1,1,3,3- tetra methyl)-benzene, while the other three remained unidentified. The GFSE-added paper displayed an effective inhibitory activity against putrefactive bacteria and fungi which were involved in the decay of flowers. Despite excellent antimicrobial acts of the GFSE-treated packaging paper, it was not possible to prevent the cut flowers from being dehydrated during storage, which led to the reduction of their fresh weight. However, additional treatment for giving water- repellency property to the GFSE-treated paper decreased a reduction rate of the fresh weight up to around 50% compared to the only GFSE-treated one.

We report a simple method for preparing hydrophobic mesoporous silica and its use as a pre-concentrating agent of gas analytes. Hydrophobic mesoporous silica was prepared by coating PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) thin layer on commercial mesoporous silica with thermal deposition method in a sealed chamber. By using this method, we were able to coat PDMS layer on inner-walls of pores larger than 15 nm. Also, contact angle measured on a surface consisting of PDMS-coated mesoporous silica exceeded $150^{\circ}$, implying that the surface has high water repellency. Pre-concentration ability of PDMS-coated mesoporous silica and baremesoporous silica was tested under dry and humid conditions. Adsorption and molecular desorption of gas analytes was much enhanced by PDMS-coating on mesoporous silica under both dry and humid conditions. Therefore we suggest that PDMS-coated mesoporous silica can be an efficient pre-concentration agent in order to enhance sensitivity of various detectors.
This study is the high contraction processing conditions set by the method of the CPB process. And the ultimate goal of this study is the high contraction of the CPB processing test method that can solve the problems of the high-contraction fabric processing method of the current jet dyeing machine. Non-coating process(CPB process) developed by the expression of a soft touch, light weight, functional and to develop excellent breathable nylon fabric. The nylon fabrics established the optimum processing conditions through the high contraction of the various test conditions, the CPB system.(The benzyl alcohol was used as the main constrictor.) At this time, the warp and weft contraction of nylon fabric was about 20%. And it established the constrictor concentration, the treatment temperature, time of a variety of tests. Also non-coating process(CPB process) can develop soft touch, lightweight, excellent air permeability. As a result, we developed a high contraction nylon fabric having a uniform surface. Manufactured fabric is used for Wind-proof and Down-proof.

The surface properties (water sorption and repellency, adhesion) are closely related to the surface tension of polymer solids. The critical surface tension (${\gamma}_c$) and surface tension (${\gamma}_s$) of a polymer solid were estimated by the contact angle method by our quantitative imaging system. BPDA (3,3',4,4'-biphenyl tetracarboxylic dianhydride)-BAPP (1,3-Bis(4-aminophenoxy) propane) polyimide was successfully synthesized. The ${\gamma}_c$ values were analyzed by a Zisman plot, a Young-$Dupr\acute{e}$-Good-Girifalco plot, and a log ($1+cos{\theta}$) vs log ${\gamma}_L$ plot. The ${\gamma}_s$ value of BPDA-BAPE polyimide was evaluated using the geometric mean equation and our multiple regression analysis. The calculated values of ${{\gamma}_s^d$ (a dispersion component), ${{\gamma}_s^p$ (a polar component), ${{\gamma}_s^h$ (a hydrogen bonding component), and ${\gamma}_s$ were 30.79, 9.32, 0.20, and 40.31 $mN{\cdot}m^{-1}$, respectively. The ${\gamma}_s$ of BPDA-BAPP polyimide containing both a methylene group and an ether group was larger than that of the polyimide containing only a methylene group.

The purpose of this study is assessing the characteristics of surface aging and recovery of hydrophobicity for silicone rubber which takes a great interest as outdoor insulation recently subjected to the combined stressed of salt fog and AC power. The methods for assessing are contact angle ATR-FRIR, AFM and XRD. In addition salt fog method is adopted as the artificial contamination experiment and AC power is applied 24 hour on and 24 hour off repeatedly for 5 cycles. The results suggest that degraded surface was more rough than virgin but was restored water repellency through the off cycle. It was due to not only the formation of fractal surface but also maintenance of hydrophobic surface by diffusion of low molecular oil. Although surface recovers initial hydropohbicity there are possibilities of decreasing electrical performance due to irreversable changes such as depolymerization of surface and loss of filler particles. This fact is confirmed by surface conductivity measurement showing that the degradation is significant and the recovery of hydrophobicity is imperfect as the energized cycle increases.
Wearing the right sportswear is one of the essential points in exercising, which is mainly neglected. Sportswear should be suitable for the ambient temperature and not cause more heat or cold in the athlete's body. On the other hand, increased sweating and blood circulation during exercise should not cause fatigue or heatstroke in the athlete. Nanotechnology has grown significantly in the field of producing more efficient equipment in the field of sports. The increase in demand in sports for complete sports equipment has revealed the necessity of using the highest quality materials in this sector. In the world of championship sports, a minor change in equipment can lead to significant changes in causing failure and victory. Since the sole is the most critical part of sports shoes, with the introduction of nanotechnology and nanocomposites, it is possible to help athletes rush and increase their sense of calm and satisfaction. Using nanocomposites in the soles of shoes can improve some of their characteristics, prevent the smell and sweat of shoes, and induce water repellency in these shoes. In this research, titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanocomposite, along with cellulose, has been used to create antibacterial and hydrophobic properties in the soles of sports shoes. The synthesized nanocomposite has been synthesized using the least amount of chemicals, which shows this method's easy and cost-effective synthesis.
