수용성 고무 아스팔트계 도막방수재의 실외 적용을 위한 기본 물성 연구 (A Study on the Basic Physical Properties of Water-Soluble Rubber Asphalt-based Coating Waterproofing for Exterior Application)

  • 국내 건축 구조물 방수재료 중 하나인 수용성 고무 아스팔트계 도막 방수재는 주로 실내(화장실, 주방, 배란다 등)에 많이 사용되고 있다. 일반적으로 아스팔트계열의 재료는 검은색의 기본 채도를 벗어나지 못하여 노출용보다는 비노출용으로 많이 쓰이고 있으며, 수용성 고무 아스팔트계 도막방수재의 경우는 기본적으로 낮은 물성 때문에 실내로 한정하여 적용하고 있다. 이에 인장 및 신장성 향상을 위하여 실란커플링제와 무기필러, 프로세서 오일 넣어 물성을 향상시켰고, 이에 따라 실외 도막방 수재 품질기준과의 기초 물성을 분석하였다. 그 결과 노출용 품질기준과 비교한 수용성 고무 아스팔트 도막방수재는 시험 평가가 진행된 전 항목에서 실리콘 고무계의 기본 물성 품질기준을 상회하는 결과가 나타났으나, 우레탄 고무계 1류의 인장강도 및 인열강도 클로로프렌 고무계 인열강도 품질기준 대비 성능이 약 34.2%에서 약 40.8% 정도 부족한 것으로 나타났다.

인공지능 기법을 활용한 한반도 해역의 수질평가지수 예측모델 개발 (Development of a Water Quality Indicator Prediction Model for the Korean Peninsula Seas using Artificial Intelligence)

  • 급격한 산업화와 도시화로 인해 해양 오염이 심각해지고 있으며, 이러한 해양 오염을 실효적으로 관리하기 위해 수질평가지수(Water Quality Index, WQI)를 마련하여 활용하고 있다. 하지만 수질평가지수는 다소 복잡한 계산과정으로 인한 정보의 손실, 기준값 변동, 실무자의 계산오류, 통계적 오류 등의 불확실성(uncertainty)을 내포하고 있다. 이에 따라 국내·외에서 인공지능 기법을 활용하여 수질평가지수를 예측하기 위한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해양환경측정망 자료(2000 ~ 2020년)를 활용하여 우리나라 전 해역 즉, 5개의 생태구에 대한 WQI를 추정할 수 있는 가장 적합한 인공지능기법을 도출하기 위해 총 6가지의 기법(RF, XGBoost, KNN, Ext, SVM, LR)을 실험하였다. 그 결과, Random Forest 기법이 다른 기법에 비해 가장 우수한 성능을 보였다. Random Forest 기법의 WQI 점수 예측값과 실제값의 잔차 분석 결과, 모든 생태구에서 시간적 및 공간적 예측 성능이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서 개발한 Random Forest 기법은 높은 정확도를 바탕으로 우리나라 전해역에 대한 WQI를 예측 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • 리튬계 이차전지의 수요는 휴대전화 및 전기자동차 등의 관련 산업의 폭발적인 성장과 더불어 크게 증가하고 있으며, 한국은 전 세계 이차전지 사업의 40%를 점유하는 리튬 이차전지 제조 강국이다. 폐기된 리튬 이차전지의 경우 대부분은 스크랩 형태로 유가금속 회수 차원에서 재활용되고 있으나, 코발트와 니켈 등 유가금속 회수 후 폐액은 잔류 리튬 농도에 따라 일부 폐기되고 있으며, 제조 공정 시 발생하는 폐액에 관한 연구는 전무하다. 뿐만 아니라 리튬 이온 농도에 의한 수계 오염 가능성에 관한 연구는 시도되지 않았으며 해마다 공공하수처리시설의 방류수 수질기준은 엄격해지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고성능 장시간 목적으로 사용되는 고니켈계 NCM 양극재 제조 공정에서 전극 코팅을 위한 공정에서 발생하는 폐액에 대하여 분석하고, 폐액 처리공정에 대한 과정을 제시하였다. 제안한 제조 공정 폐액 처리 공정별 리튬 이온의 농도 및 pH 영향에 따른 수질오염 척도인 생태독성과의 연관성에 대하여 수질검사와 함께 물벼룩 생태독성 시험을 통해 상관관계를 분석하였다. 또한, 다른 산업군의 생태독성 시험과의 비교를 통해 향후 리튬 공장 폐액에 대한 현실적인 처리 방안에 대하여 서술하였다.

농업용저수지의 실시간 수위 보정을 위한 Hampel Filter의 최적 Window Size 분석 (Analysis of the Optimal Window Size of Hampel Filter for Calibration of Real-time Water Level in Agricultural Reservoirs)

  • Currently, a vast amount of hydrologic data is accumulated in real-time through automatic water level measuring instruments in agricultural reservoirs. At the same time, false and missing data points are also increasing. The applicability and reliability of quality control of hydrological data must be secured for efficient agricultural water management through calculation of water supply and disaster management. Considering the characteristics of irregularities in hydrological data caused by irrigation water usage and rainfall pattern, the Korea Rural Community Corporation is currently applying the Hampel filter as a water level data quality management method. This method uses window size as a key parameter, and if window size is large, distortion of data may occur and if window size is small, many outliers are not removed which reduces the reliability of the corrected data. Thus, selection of the optimal window size for individual reservoir is required. To ensure reliability, we compared and analyzed the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) and NSE (Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient) of the corrected data and the daily water level of the RIMS (Rural Infrastructure Management System) data, and the automatic outlier detection standards used by the Ministry of Environment. To select the optimal window size, we used the classification performance evaluation index of the error matrix and the rainfall data of the irrigation period, showing the optimal values at 3 h. The efficient reservoir automatic calibration technique can reduce manpower and time required for manual calibration, and is expected to improve the reliability of water level data and the value of water resources.

폐수특성 및 처리기술에 근거한 산업폐수 배출허용기준 설정체계 연구 (Establishment of Effluent Limitation based on Wastewater Characteristics and Treatment Technology)

  • This study contemplated domestic and other country's effluent limitation standards and suggested a methodology to establish technology-base limitation value. Current effluent limitation regulates industrial point sources discriminated by discharge flow rate and by regional distinction in Korea. Discharged $BOD_5$ load from large-scale plants(flow rate above $2,000\;m^3/day)$ exceeds 50% of overall industrial wastewater, which present rationale for discrimination based on plant size. However, regional distinction and pollutant- specific regulation might be insufficient to meet practical effectiveness of wastewater management policy, due to the nearly same limitation. Water quality data and treatment methods were investigated in hospital industry. And their distribution of effluent $BOD_5$ concentrations was statistically analyzed to suggest limitation value. Effluent $BOD_5$ concentrations showed lognormal distribution and $95^{th}$ percentile was corresponded to 87.9 mg/L, which could be suggested as tentative effluent limitation in hospital industry. The $95^{th}$ percentile of log-transformed distribution showed similar value of 86.5 mg/L. This study demonstrated reasonable methodology for establishing effluent limitation reflecting wastewater characteristic and treatment technology in separately categorized industry.

  • The energy corporation of Kosovo continuously monitors and analyzes the impact of its own activities on the environment. Regarding the environmental situation, energy corporation of Kosovo- ECK regularly informs and reports objectively to the competent state institutions, local municipal institutions and interested parties. ECK, through numerous contacts with the competent authorities, firstly with different ministers, harmonizes the positions regarding environmental issues in the direction of achieving certain environmental standards or legal requirements in order to gradually be in accordance with them, based on the real possibilities, especially the financial ones. From this point of view, the environmental issue is very sensitive, quite complex and represents one of the biggest challenges of society currently and in the future. The researched variables show a continuous increase in the need for electricity production in Kosovo and this increase in production conditions a wide range of environmental impacts both at the local, regional and global levels. The aim of the work is to reduce the emission of pollutants through the main variables without inhibiting the economic development of the country, i.e. to bring the pollution as a result of the activities of the ECK operation into compliance with the permitted environmental norms. As a result of ECK's operational activities, the following follows: Air pollution mainly as a result of emissions from TCs in the air, transport, etc. Water pollution - as a result of technological water discharges, Land degradation - as a result of surface mining activities of the entire mining area. The purpose of the paper is to research and analyze the main water variables in the area of the Kosova B power plant, which is to determine the degree of their pollution from the activities of the power plants, as well as to assess the real state of surface water quality and control the degree of pollution of these waters. Methodology of the work: The analyzes of the water samples were done in the company Institute "INKOS" JSC by simultaneous methods using different reagents.

  • Intensive livestock production has increased dramatically in Europe since the 1960s, particularly. in Northern and Central European countries, resulting in large increases in the nutrient pollution of surface and ground waters and in atmospheric emissions of ammonia. This has arisen due to inadequate management of the large amounts manure produced, particularly where there has been insufficient land area used for efficient nutrient reuse in crop production. Nutrient pollution from intensive livestock production has progressively degraded the quality of water resources in many parts of Europe, with eutrophication of many inland and coastal waters, as well as soil acidification and ecosystem degradation. These problems have been known for many years, and although there are various international agreements on transboundary pollution, it is largely left to individual countries to set and enforce standards. Consequently, a number of different approaches are employed, although the common feature of these is to encourage farmers to use the nutrients in animal manures efficiently according to crop requirements, which also reduces the potential for accumulation in soil and subsequent loss to the environment. This paper reviews nutrient production and use in Europe and some of the strategies employed to avoid and reduce nutrient pollution.

수소품질 국제 표준화 동향 및 대응기술에 관한 연구 (A Stydy On Hydrogen Quality International Standards Trend and Countermeasure)

  • In the production of hydrogen from various sources like cracking of LPG, LNG, Crude oil, or alkaline water electrolysis, the things that we keep in mind is the entrapment of unexpected impurities in the stream of produced $H_2$. If it is true that we are not able to produce 100% pure $H_2$, then subsequent procedure is the elimination of the impurities and the determination of the concentrations of each constituents in $H_2$ stream. By the way, each country has different constituents in its fuels and unavoidablely it was cost/economy debates between coutries. Thus, in this paper, our goal is to provide current international issues for hydrogen production.

불구속 동력전달 세탁기의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of a Washing Machine of Unconstrained Transmission)

  • Washing machines designed to clean laundry have been more widely used at home as they reduce household labor and boost the quality of life. Technological advances and better standards of life increase demand for laundry washing performance. Energy efficiency regulations and consumer demand for the larger trend, washing machine makers should be done in performance studies to reduce power, and water consumption and the load on power transmission devices. In this study, performance of a fully automatic washing machine with unconstrained transmission is analyzed through experiment and CFD simulation. It is found that the interaction between laundry and transmission change the washing behavior and affect washing performance with regard to the degree of freedom. The results obtained in this study can be used in developing new washing machine transmissions and make them more robust.

흡수성 바이오필터 시스템의 오수처리 특성 및 효율 (Sewage Treatment Characteristics and Efficiencies of Absorbent Biofilter Systems)

  • In this study, on-site sewage treatment tests were conducted using the Absorbent Biofilter System (ABS) under different hydraulic loading rates to examine its treatment characteristics and efficiencies and to determine its feasibility as a small on-site sewage treatment system in a rural area. Results showed that the removal rates of BOD and SS were satisfactory at hydraulic loading rates of 100~150 cm/day, meeting the Korean effluent water quality standards for the riparian zone (10 mg/L). In the case of nutrients (N, P), however, the system did not perform well, necessitating further improvement for nutrient removal. A comparative analysis indicated that as a small on-site sewage treatment system, the ABS would be more suitable than other treatment systems in terms of performance stability, maintenance requirement, and cost-effectiveness and could be applied as an alternative treatment system in Korean rural areas.
