  • We have developed dissolved ozone decompose system in the used ozonated water for the semiconductor and LCD fabrication processes, which will be base of obtaining core process technology in the high performance, low price semiconductor and LCD fabrications. Using this technology, it is possible for the semiconductor wafer and LCD planer to process more rapid and chip, and productivity will be improved.

  • Fuel represents a significant portion of the operating costs of voyages of the vessel. Under this situation, dramatic increase in fuel price caused a problem that earnings of ship becomes decreased seriously. Pumps in a cooling system of the vessel are often operated inefficiently. The reasons will vary from process to process and application to application. Inefficiency of pumps is one of the reason for making the cost of operating the vessel increased. This paper suggests energy-effective cooling system that controls sea water pumps with inverters to reduce energy consumption in vessel by conducting simulation with LabVIEW. Results shows that electric energy consumption of pumps are significantly deceased. If this energy-effective cooling system is applied to other systems which need cooling, it could be useful in reducing electric energy wastage.

  • 본 연구에서는 Penney와 Price(1952)의 해석 해를 사용하여 반무한방파제, 양익방파제등에서 발생하는 회절현상에 대한 해석 해를 구하였다. 양익방파제가 경사지게 위치한 경우에도 중첩을 통하여 해석 해를 구할 수 있었으며, 이를 바탕으로 방파제의 위치와 입사파랑의 각도에 따른 각각의 경우에 대하여 해석 해를 구할 수 있다. 또한, 구조물에 입사된 파랑성분과 구조물의 폭만큼의 개구부를 갖는 양익방파제를 통과하는 회절파성분과 같게 표현될 수 있는 반사파성분을 서로 중첩시켜 구조물 전면부에서 발생되는 완전반사 및 부분반사현상에 대한 해석 해를 제시하였다. 국내의 실무에서 해안 및 항만 구조물 설계에 사용되는 수치프로그램들의 정확도를 간단히 판단할 수 있는 비교 대상으로 이러한 해석해가 이용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.

  • Bio-degradable hydraulic oil using polyolester base oil is formulated for the applications of heavy duty hydraulic machineries. It has proved quality and market price competitiveness by assessment of reliability test in vehicle manufacturer and specific vehicle related institute. Contribution of bio-degradable oil keep the working environment clean and increase export competitiveness in European market. Leakage or waste of mineral types of hydraulic oils in heavy duty machineries causes pollution of river, ocean, underground water. Drinkable-water pollution is serious problem in Europe. In some European countries, using bio-degradable hydraulic oils become an obligation in heavy duty machineries. New product of bio-degradable oils satisfy the European regulations(OECD 302B) and shows excellent performance in compare with European products.

  • The Alternative energy has lately attracted considerable attention due to the high oil price and environment problem. In this study, pilot test facility for using the geothermal energy source from riverbank filtration was constructed and monitoring devices are installed to estimate the efficiency of this system. Initial installation cost can be saved efficiently by connect ing a heat pump system into the exist ing pumping well in Changwon riverbank filtration site. One set of monitoring results during summer was presented and analyzed.

  • A novel concept of the gridable desalination plant is to provide an operation management to enable an electricity plant operation cost reduction. Adjusting recovery rate responded to electricity price, an electricity plant operation cost can be saved. To show a suggested approach, the data of 10 [MIGD](Million Imperial Gallons per Day) SWRO testbed are used. The result shows that total cost reduction rate is calculated about 1.6[%] of annual total electric plant operation cost.

  • Current steel makers are trying to develop new manufacturing process to secure price competition and to improve productivity by testing a various kinds of rolling condition of several kinds of steel at TCM. Accordingly, Reverse Mill operation for Stainless steel is changing to TCM operation and furthermore, even general carbon steel and electric steel plate are requested to be worked at TCM simultaneously. By these changing of rolling condition, it become to be necessary to develop new water-soluble cold rolling oil that has a characteristics to be suitable for various working condition and in this report, we would like to mention lubrication condition to fulfill requested characteristics of each steels and development and applying result of multi-purpose water-soluble cold rolling oil which has such an lubrication property.

  • In general, A synchronous generator is higher than the voltage stability of the induction generator. However, induction generator has many advantages rather than a synchronous generator in terms of price and maintenance. So, coverage rate of the induction generator is gradually increasing in small hydroelectric power station rather than 1000kW recently. In order to increase the penetration of induction generator, pre-analysis of the operation of the generator is needed. In this study, we analyzed for the problems that occur when synchronous generator and induction generator of 1500kW is connected to the distribution system.

  • A colony counting on a petri-dish is a laborious task in microbiology fields that automated counting systems are needed. But lots of such systems are high price that majorities of labs rely on the manual counting and it is a time consuming and laborious job. In this study, an attempt was made to select the relative atmospheric correction method for the water quality factors extraction from the satellite image data. And also, the time-series analysis of the water quality factors was performed by using the multi-temporal image data. The result shows that the proposed method can be commercialized with low prices.

  • New conception of batch and period is defined appropriate for the on-power refuelling scheme of a heavy water-moderated reactor, A computer code (“HWRCOST”) is developed using nuclear fuel cycle economic equations based on the continuous energy calculation method. The fuel cycle cost of the CANDU-PHW reactor is calculated and sensitivity analyses are performed with variation of uranium ore price, fabrication cost, spent fuel permanent disposal expenses, and capacity fctor.
