Visibility studies are conducted in oxidizing organic compounds with ozone to investigate the oxidation in the waste and sewage water. While the ozone has been used as one of the major oxidation of the waste and sewage water, it is not effective to distroy the polluted organic compounds with the practical concentration in waste water treatment. The result are shown follows ; 1. Upon oxidizing organic compound with ozone, the former is much oxidized under three meters and the latter under the ABS waste water. 2. In case of being oxidized organics waste water with ozone codis, much removed under medicine and chemical waste water than anothers of primary treatment process. 3. The final treated waste water of oxidizing organics is higher than that of filtered water or sedimented water. Specially in organics waste water the colority after oxidizing decrease from 95% to 99.9% this suggests that any organic compounds produced during ozonation night be dissdved in the final treated waste water.

This study is intended to realize an intelligent controller using fuzzy control algorithms in order to recycle energy by recycling the waste water heat discharged by waste water heat collection boilers. Using waste water inflow temperature changes and waste water inflow amount changes as parameters, we present characteristic curves of the number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds and the temperature of hot water being discharged. We propose an intelligent controller that determines the optimum number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds in real time by measuring changes in the temperature and amount of waste water inflows in order to minimize the number of compressors being operated at fixed speeds relative to the waste water load flowing into the waste water heat collection boiler.

Globally, the demand for food and water resources are increasing rapidly with the growing concerns of meeting the projected population upsurge, specifically by 2050. The global population is projected to hit 9.8 billion in 2050 while the food demand is expected to increase by 77% from the 2007 base year. Moreover, the already scarce water resources, especially in the food-producing regions, expected to be significantly affected as food production already accounts for over 70% of the global water resources. However, the estimated food demand encapsulated the actual demand for both human consumption and animal feed in addition to the exuberant food waste at the consumption stage of the supply chain, notably in the developed countries. Managing the food consumption demand and food waste can have across-the-board benefits on water resources and other associated food production impacts. This study assessed the water-saving potentials through food waste in Korean households using the food waste data obtained from the direct weighing analysis. The household food waste collection and characterization were carried out during the summer (July), fall (September), and winter (December) seasons of 2019. The water footprint related to the food waste within Korean households was based on the water footprint concept, i.e. indirect water use. The results of our estimation showed that an average Korean household wasted 6.15 ± 4.36 kg daily, amounting to 12.53 ± 11.10 m3 of water resources associated with the waste. On the per capita basis, an average of 0.024 ± 0.017 kg/capita/day of food was wasted resulting to 0.049 ± 0.044 m3/capital/day of water resources wasted. The food waste types that accounted for the principal share in the water footprint were beef, soybean, rice and pork with values 30.7, 10.1, 9.6, and 7.5%, respectively. Considering that the production of meat and meat products are water intensive and the agricultural water use in Korea is largely for rice production, addressing the food waste of these two important agricultural products can be a hotspot for water saving potential in the country. This study therefore provides an insight to addressing the water scarcity in the country through reducing household food waste.
As a research for treatment of waste water from acetaldehyde plant by biological method, we investigated general characteristics of the waste water, and isolated and identified some useful bacteria which effectively treated its waste water. Among the total number of 53 strains which were grown in waste water from an acetaldehyde plant, the strains AW-6, AW-22, AW-38 and AW-41 were found to be useful for COD removal of waste water. $COD_{Mn}$ and $BOD_{5}$ of the waste water were 5260 ppm and 6452 ppm, respectively, and pH was 1.85. And the main organic component in waste water was acetic acid which was contained 6.76%. By the taxonomical characteristics, the strains AW-6, AW-22, AW-38 and AW-41 were identified as Micrococcus roseus, Micrococcus luteus, Microbacterium lacticum and Microbacterium laevanifromans or similar strain, respectively.
The yeast strain was isolated from food industry waste water and its identification and biological characteristics were investigated. The optimum condition for cultivations and its activities for the reduction of B.O.D. on the food industry waste water were also confirmed. The results are as follows; 1) The isolated was identified as Candida curvata. 2) Candida curvata grew well in all of the experimented media, so and it can be regarded as a useful strain in the treatment of food industry waste water. 3) There was only a slight difference in the induction period between sterilized cultivation and unsterilized cultivation. But in the ice cream waste water, the period was considerably longer in unsterilized cultivation. 4) Specific rate of growth of Candida curvata in sugar waste water was 0.50/hr, ice cream waste water 0.50/hr, and beer waste water 1.0/hr. 5) Increasing of innoculum reduced the induction period in unsterilized cultivation. 6) The amount of dried yeast from sugar waste water were $175mg/{\ell}$, ice cream waste water $628mg/{\ell}$, and beer waste water $857mg/{\ell}$. Crude protein content in the dried yeast from sugar waste water were 52%, ice cream waste water 54%, and beer waste water 54%. 7) The rate of BOD reduction in sugar waste water were 49%, ice cream waste water 80%, and beer waste water 64%.

Deserts around the world mostly do not have plants and are ever- expanding their area each year. There is shortage of food and prevalent hunger around the world mostly in the African countries that have desert. The waste water is not properly managed in those places and it causes disease outbreaks. So, the problems of desertification, waste water management and hunger have to be addressed by the world community. This thesis work tries to explore a possibility of reclamation of deserts with regular application of waste water. The results obtained from a four months long test are very encouraging and it can be easily concluded that the deserts can be reclaimed by application of waste water and it will relieve the desert community from the burden of costly treatment of waste water as well. In turn, they will, to some extent, get rid of water borne diseases and the reclaimed land could be used in future to produce more food to feed the hungry community- positively impacting directly to food security of the focused community.

With the experience of the 1994 drought, and the shortage of water resources in Japan, it has been re-informed upon us ensure and maintain the stability of water resources. Accordingly, with each plant, a serious appraisal has begun looking at the re-use of waste water. Membrane technology is an important process for waste water recovery. Effluent kom waste water facilities changes the quality of water significantly. The conventional pre-treatment of RO is hard to supply good quality feed water to RO in the waste water recovery system. The microfiltration system as a pre-treatment of RO in the paper overcomes the fouling with the air backwash and is operated in direct flow mode at a low pressure producing a high flux. The paper will focus the waste water recovery using membrane technology and many examples will be given.
For the purpose of developing a new process f3r the elimination of oil components from oily waste water, experimental researches using oil gelling agent were performed. The process is composed of three units, that is, decantator, gelling column and adsorption column. 10g of gelling agent in the gelling column could effectively absorb 15.65g of oil from ship washing waste water and 16.93g of oil from steel industry waste water. COD in waste waters dramatically diminished not in the gelling column but in the adsorption column. The .gelling is hindered by other organic components in waste water, and the optimum space time f3r the gelling column Is 20min. 1g of gelling agent absorbed 3.7-4.0g of oil from waste waters with 25 min in the batch operation.

In this study, rainfall infiltration in vault of the second near-surface disposal facility was evaluated on the basis of various disposal scenarios. A total of four different disposal scenarios were examined based on the locations of the radioactive waste containers. A numerical model was developed using the FEFLOW software and finite element method to simulate the behavior of infiltrated water in each disposal scenario. The effects of the disposal scenarios on the infiltrated water were evaluated by estimating the flux of the infiltrated water at the vault interfaces. For 300 years, the flux of infiltrated water flowing into the vault was estimated to be 1 mm/year or less for all scenario. The overall results suggest that when the engineered barriers are intact, the flux of infiltrated water cannot generate a sufficient pressure head to penetrate the vault. In addition, it is confirmed that the disposal scenarios have insignificant effects on the infiltrated water flowing into the vault.
