'아편전쟁'을 바라보는 세계의 시선과 욕망 (The World's Gaze and Desire on the Opium War)

  • It is well-known that Chinese saw themselves as the centre of the world until the early 20th century. Since the Opium War 1840, however, belong to the 'general world' the past century. The Opium War made China break away from the Sinocentric spirit. This writing(essay) examines movies from China and the World concern the historical event 'the Opium War.' It also discusses desires that are inherent in narration of each movie and how accord with the real world. The movie The Opium War(1997) directed by XieJin is a work that intended: to wash off the memory of history of disgrace and; to successfully put a disparate piece, Hong Kong, of a puzzle named China together. The Japanese movie Wànshìliúfāng(1943)and The Opium War(1943) were also made for the victory of the Pacific War. They were part of project for uniting the domestic Japan and the colonial outlands - Manchuria and Joseon - that reenacted humiliating history of China, which had been the suzerain of the East Asia The Korean movie The Opium War(1964) was not recalled due to the demand for a lesson from China's painful history, but was recreated by imitating Hong Kong, into where capitalism was transplanted through the Opium War before Korea. History is eventually recalled to the present and the histories, that each different present invokes, are recreated in respective fashion. From their plan to wash off the history of disgrace and successfully return Hong Kong to its native country, China, Japan, and Korea portrayed China, once their cultural suzerain, as impotent East Asia. From their proposition that they should resist the present enemy, the West, together, they imitated the west of the East, which lead the way to achieve modernity. Finally, from their ambition to deviate from their status as developing country, they recalled and reorganized the history, the Opium War.

Trend analysis of rainfall characteristics and its impact on stormwater runoff quality from urban and agricultural catchment

  • Climate change has significantly affected the rainfall characteristics which can influence the pollutant build-up and wash-off patterns from the catchment. Therefore, this study explored the influence of varying rainfall characteristics on urban and agricultural runoff pollutant export using statistical approaches. For this purpose, Mann-Kendall and Pettitt's test were applied to detect the trend and breakpoint in rainfall characteristics time series. In addition, double mass curve and correlation analysis were used to drive the relationship between rainfall-runoff and pollutant exports from both catchments. The results indicate a significant decreased in total rainfall and average rainfall intensity, while a significant increased trend for antecedents dry days and total storm duration over the study periods. The breakpoint was determined to be 2013 which shows remarkable trend shifts for total rainfall, average rainfall intensity and antecedents dry days except total duration. Double mass curve exhibited a straight line with significant rainfall-runoff relationship indicates a climate change effect on both sites. Overall, higher pollutant exports were observed at both sites during the baseline period as compared to change periods. In agricultural site, most of the pollutants exhibited significant (p< 0.05) association with total rainfall, average rainfall intensity and total storm duration. In contrast, pollutants from urban site significantly correlated with antecedent dry days and average rainfall intensity. Thus, total rainfall, average rainfall intensity and total duration were the significant factors for the agricultural catchment while, antecedents dry days and average rainfall intensity were key factors in build-up and wash-off from the urban catchment.

Radiation Monitoring in the Residential Environment: Time Dependencies of Air Dose Rate and 137Cs Inventory

  • Background: Residential areas have some factors on the external exposure of residents, who usually spend a long time in these areas. Although various survey has been carried out by the government or the research institutions after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, the mechanism of radiocesium inventory in the terrestrial zone has not been cleared. To better evaluate the radiation environment, this study investigated the temporal changes in air dose rate and 137Cs inventories (Bq/m2) in residential areas and agricultural fields. Materials and Methods: Air dose rate and 137Cs inventories were investigated in residential areas located in an evacuation zone at 5-8 km from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant. From December 2014 to September 2018, the air dose rate distribution was investigated through a walking survey (backpack survey), which was conducted by operators carrying a γ-ray detector on their backs. Additionally, from December 2014 to January 2021, the 137Cs inventories on paved and permeable grounds were also measured using a portable γ-ray detector. Results and Discussion: In the areas where decontamination was not performed, the air dose rate decreased faster in residential areas than in agricultural fields. Moreover, the 137Cs inventory on paved surfaces decreased with time owing to the horizontal wash-off, while the 137Cs inventory on permeable surfaces decreased dramatically owing to the decontamination activities. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the horizontal wash-off of 137Cs on paved surfaces facilitated the air dose rate decrease in residential areas to a greater extent compared with agricultural fields, in which the air dose rate decreased because of the vertical migration of 137Cs. Results of this study can explain the faster environmental restoration in a residential environment reported by previous studies.

익산 미륵사지석탑의 생물침해 방지를 위한 보존처리제 적용실험-K201 생물처리제를 중심으로 (A study on the chemical treatment of biodeterioration about stone pagoda of Iksan Mireuksaji-Focusing on bio-treatment using K201)

  • The biodeterioration on Iksan Mireuksaji pagoda has been studied with fucus on application of K201 as a chemical treatment. Total of 39species, including 10 algae, 16 lichens, 6 mosses and 7 unidentified bacteria and fungi, were collected and identified on the surface of the pagoda. Most of them caused serious discoloration on the surface. The effectiveness and stability of K201 was examined by applying it on some part of the pagoda. A mild spraying of solution diluted to half of original reagent was good enough to eliminate all the deteriorating species on the surface. Most of discoloration disappeared after the treatment except the red color caused by iron substance. The effectiveness of the regent was compared with water wash. The stone was first washed with water and the dirt on the surface was scrubbed off from the surface. The initial surface of the stone was clearer in water wash. However, many of the deteriorating species reappear in 4 weeks after water wash. Although spraying of the reagent K201 could noteliminate all the remnant of dead organisms as good as scrubbing the surface, no deteriorating algae or lichen was observed until two month after treatment. Therefore, spraying method with chemicals seems more stable and reliable way to remove the biodeterioration than physical scrubbing of the surface.

강원도 산간계곡형 교량 설계 지침 개발 (Development of Bridge Design Guidelines in Kangwondo Mountain Area)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 강원도 산악지역에서 교량 설계 지침 개발에 있다. 2002년 태풍 루사, 2003년 매미, 2006년 에위니아에 이은 7월 집중호우로 강원도 산악지역에서는 큰 피해를 당한 바 있다. 이런 피해의 원인은 강원도 산악지역에 위치하는 하천의 지역적, 지형학적 조건을 고려하지 못한 부분적인 이유도 있는 것으로 판단된다. 교량피해의 대부분은 교각과 교대의 기초부분 세굴(침식) 때문에 발생되었다. 다른 이유로는 고사목, 나뭇가지 및 부유잡물 등이 교각과 상판에 걸려서 물의 흐름을 어렵게 만들거나 차단 시켜서 발생되었다. 수해현장의 피해 형태와 원인 등을 분석하여 이로부터 설계 지침을 제시하였다.

경옥가루의 물리화학적 특성 및 화장품 제형 응용 연구 (Physicochemical Properties of Jadeite Powder and Its Application to Cosmetic Formulations)

  • 본 연구에서는 천연 소재인 경옥가루의 물리화학적 특성을 조사하고 이를 함유한 워시오프 팩과 리퀴드 파운데이션을 제조하였다. 또한 이들 제형을 대상으로 각 제형이 주는 효과와 사용자 관능 평가, 제형 안정성 및 피부 안전성 평가를 수행하였다. 워시오프 팩 중의 경옥가루의 함량이 증가할수록 원적외선 방사율과 방사에너지 값이 증가하였고, 경옥가루를 3% 함유한 제품에서는 피부 적용 시 피부 온도가 약 $0.5^{\circ}C$ 상승하였다. 경옥가루를 첨가한 리퀴드 파운데이션은 피부 본래의 색을 더욱 선명하게 표현할 수 있는 채도를 나타냈다. 경옥가루를 첨가한 워시오프 팩과 리퀴드 파운데이션은 각각의 수분 보유량이 최대 5.0% 및 63.0%로 나타났다. 사용자 관능 평가에서 경옥가루를 함유한 워시오프 팩 제형은 피부친화력, 밀착력, 가려움 및 촉촉함을 개선시켰다. 경옥가루를 함유한 리퀴드 파운데이션도 대조군 제형과 비교했을 때 커버력을 제외한 모든 항목에서 개선이 이루어졌다. 경옥가루 함유 제형에 대해 8주간 안정성 평가를 한 결과 육안상으로 변색이나 분리현상은 관찰되지 않았으며 pH는 8주까지, 점도는 4주까지 안정함을 확인하였다. 또한, 피부 안전성 평가에서 경옥가루 함유 제형은 모두 자극이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 경옥가루는 무기안료로써 안정성과 안전성이 확보된 새로운 다기능 소재로써 화장품에 응용 가능성이 있음을 시사하였다.

손 위생 제품에 대한 in vitro, ex vivo, in vivo 항균 시험법 비교 (Comparison of In Vitro, Ex Vivo, and In Vivo Antibacterial Activity Test Methods for Hand Hygiene Products)

  • 손 위생 제품이 다양화됨과 동시에 각 활용 방법에 따라 그 효능을 평가하는 여러 시험 방법들이 보고되고 있다. 하지만 평가 방법에 따라 각 제품의 항균 효능은 다르게 나타나며, 이로 인해 제품의 실제적인 효능을 확인하는 데에 어려움이 있을 수 있다. 손 위생 제품의 효능평가방법 비교에 초점을 둔 연구는 매우 제한적이며, 특히 돼지피부를 이용한 ex vivo에 대한 연구는 극히 드물다. 이에 본 연구는 손 위생 제품 중 리브온 소독제와 워시오프 세정제에 대해 각각의 항균 평가 방법을 종합적으로 비교했고, ex vivo 시험에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인을 파악하여 연구 단계에서 효율적인 ex vivo 시험의 신뢰성을 향상시키고자 하였다. in vitro 시험으로써 액체 현탁을 기반으로 하는 time-kill 시험을 진행했고, in vivo 시험은 최소 20명의 참여자를 대상으로 진행되었다. ex vivo 시험은 규격화된 돼지 피부를 이용하여 in vivo 시험과 동일한 방법으로 진행하면서 소독제의 최적 처리량과 세정제 사용 시 첨가되는 물의 양을 제안했다. 시험에 사용된 손 소독제는 in vitro 시험에서 모두 5 log 이상의 세균 감소율을 보인 반면, ex vivo와 in vivo에서는 훨씬 낮은 살균 활성을 보였으며, 특히 알코올 함량이 낮은 손 소독제에서는 1 log 미만의 살균 활성을 나타냈다. 반면에 손 세정제의 in vitro 시험 결과, 대장균에 대해서는 1 log 이하의 낮은 항균력을 보였으나, ex vivo 와 in vivo 시험 결과에서는 이보다 높은 항균력을 유사하게 나타냈다. 본 연구에서는 ex vivo 와 in vivo 시험 방법이 리브온과 워시오프 타입 제품의 두가지 다른 항균 메커니즘을 반영할 수 있음을 확인했다. 이로 인해 최적의 조건으로 설정된 ex vivo 시험은 빠르고 정확한 항균 평가법이 될 수 있음을 제시한다.

  • Source : sources used by Qianghuo is Ostericum koreanum Maximowicz, Notopterygium incisum Ting and Notopterygium forbesii Boissier etc. in Korea and China. And we cirulate a Qianghuo dividing Nanqianghuo and Beiqianghuo. Thought source of Korea Qianghuo is different from china's we use a same name. And source of Beiqianghuo has not made clear yet. According to research accomplished 2002, we have to use Nanqianghuo producted at Jinbu in aspect of aspect. but, Beiqianghuo the outside form of Beiqianghuo similar to china so we think that we have to more make clear source of domestic Qianghuo, verify a source Beiqianghuo and re-establish about effects and functions of domestic Qianghuos. Culture : A term of culture is an nearly one year. so to product Qianghuo of good quality, we must plant directly in autumn or raise seedlings and transplant in spring. Processing : To protect turning to brown, Qianghuo are cirulate mostly as the original form without washing in water, To proteet crushing of Qianghuo when we cut off, Qianghuo were cut off after being soaked in water or steamed by heat. So when we wash and cut off, it has to be made processes which have no decreases of medical effects and be suggested a proper index which verify a medical effects. In summury, after harvesting Qianghuo the first washing $\rightarrow$ the first dry $\rightarrow$ selection $\rightarrow$ the second washing $\rightarrow$ the second dry $\rightarrow$ selection $\rightarrow$ cutting off $\rightarrow$ the third dry.

Fe 도핑된 TiO2와 헥사데실트리메톡시실란를 이용한 셀프클리닝 섬유의 제조 및 평가 (Preparation and Evaluation of Self-cleaning Fabrics using Fe-doped TiO2 and Hexadecyltrimethoxysilane)

  • Self-cleaning fabric is a fabric having a function of decotamination via photodecomposition of photocatalyst or wash-off of contaminants on the superhydrophobic surface. TiO2 is the main photocatalyst for this purpose, but it only functions under UV light which is only a little portion of sunlight, compared to visible light. In this regard, this study aims to investigate Fe-doped TiO2 for improved photodecomposition from visible light sensitization to apply self-cleaning finishing of PET fabrics. Moreover, the Fe-doped TiO2 treated PET fabric was further treated with hexadecyltrimethoxysilane to provide superhydrophobicity on the PET fabrics. As a result of this dual treatment, the prepared fabric exhibited excellent photodecomposition of methylene blue with 96.96% in 12h under sunlight and superhydrophobicity with water contact angle of 166.5° and roll-off angle of 7°. This suggested that the excellent self-cleaning functions can be privided to PET fabric via Fe-doped TiO2 and hexadecyltrimethoxysilane treatment.

반응염료의 현황과 문제점

  • 1956년 반응염료가 시판된 이래 장족의 발전을 하였으며, 구형의 cellulose용 염색을 추월하여 거의 대부분의 cellulose의 염색에 반응염료, 일변도로 사용되고 있는 것이 현실이다. 그러나 많은 반응 염료의 장점에도 불구하고 세월이 가면서 문제점도 만만치 않다. 장점으로는 색상이 선명하고 견뢰도가 우수하고 응용범위가 넓고 조작이 용이하다는 점이며, 문제점으로 나타난 것은 흡착염색공정에서 다량의 전해질과 알칼리제를 첨가함에도 불구하고 흡착율, 고착율이 낮고 염색후의 세정공정과 많은 물과 energy 및 시간을 필요로 한다는 사실이다. 또한 최근 더욱 관심을 끈 것은 반응염료의 가수분해 현상으로 인하여 다량의 가수분해된 염료가 폐수화하여 버려짐으써 심각한 공해가 야기할 뿐만 아니라 염색물에 부착하여 견뢰도에도 영향이 많다. 이런 문제를 염료제조업계에서는 해결하지 않으면 안될 시점에 와 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 염료의 구조적인 면, 염색적인 면 그리고 소비자의 취급적인 면에서 검토하여 과거의 영광을 존속하기 위하여 개량형의 염료를 합성하여 고고착률, wash-off성의 양호 및 일광, 염소, 땀, 세탁 등에 견뢰한 염료를 얻고자 반응염료의 현황과 문제점을 정리해 보고자 한다.
