쉬어-왑 분해를 이용한 블록 기반의 볼륨 렌더링 기법 (A Block-Based Volume Rendering Algorithm Using Shear-Warp factorization)

  • 볼륨 렌더링은 기하학적인 기본 도형으로 모델링하지 않고, 3차원 데이터를 직접 가시화하는 방법이다. 이런 볼륨 렌더링의 특성으로 말미암아 3차원 영상을 도시할 때에, 복잡한 물체의 경우에도 물체의 표면을 상세하게 표현하는데 유리하여 의료 영상을 가시화하는 쪽으로의 적용이 많이 이루어져 왔다. 일반적으로 볼륨 데이터의 크기가 커서 실시간으로 처리하기 쉽지 않기 때문에, 근래에는 이 렌더링 시간을 줄이기 위해서 많은 여러 가지 렌더링 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 부호화 되어 있지 않은 볼륨 데이터를 빠르게 렌더링 하기 위해서, 쉬어-왑 분해를 이용하는 블록 기반의 볼륨 렌더링 기법을 제안한다. 이 방법에서는 블록 기반의 데이터와 함께 장기의 영역 분할 데이터를 동시에 이용하여 볼륨 렌더링을 수행하므로써, 부호화되어 있지 않은 데이터에 대해 렌더링 속도를 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 X-ray CT 흉부 영상과 MR 3차원 두부 영상을 렌더링 함으로써 제안한 방법의 성능을 검증하였다.

딥러닝 합성곱에서 데이터 재사용에 최적화된 GPGPU 설계 (Design of an Optimized GPGPU for Data Reuse in DeepLearning Convolution)

  • 본 논문은 합성곱 신경망에 데이터 재사용 방법을 효과적으로 적용하여 연산 횟수와 메모리 접근 횟수를 줄일 수 있는 GPGPU구조를 제안한다. 합성곱은 kernel과 입력 데이터를 이용한 2차원 연산으로 kernel이 slide하는 방법으로 연산이 이루어 진다. 이때, 합성곱 연산이 완료될 때 까지 kernel을 캐시메모리로 부터 전달 받는 것이 아니고 내부 레지스터를 이용하는 재사용 방법을 제안한다. SIMT방법으로 명령어가 실행되는 GPGPU의 원리 이용하여 데이터 재사용의 효과를 높이기 위해 합성곱에 직렬 연산 방식을 적용하였다. 본 논문에서는 레지스터기반 데이터 재사용을 위하여 kernel을 4×4로 고정하고 이를 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 warp 크기와 레지스터 뱅크를 갖는 GPGPU를 설계하였다. 설계된 GPGPU의 합성곱 신경망에 대한 성능을 검증하기 위해 FPGA로 구현한 뒤 LeNet을 실행시키고 TensorFlow를 이용한 비교 방법으로 AlexNet에 대한 성능을 측정하였다. 측정결과 AlexNet기준 1회 학습 속도는 0.468초이며 추론 속도는 0.135초이다.

Factors Affecting the Stock Price: The Role of Firm Performance

  • This study examined the effect of Debt Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Size on stock prices with company performance as measured by Return on Assets (ROA) as a mediating variable. The sample used is 136 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2014-2018 period. This research was tested using a Warp PLS statistical test tool to prove the proposed hypothesis. The results showed that DER has a significant negative effect on ROA and a significant positive effect on Stock Price. NPM has a significant positive effect on ROA as well as a significant positive effect on Stock Price. While Size has a significant positive effect on ROA but has no effect on Stock Price. ROA has a significant positive effect on Stock Price. ROA does not act as a mediating variable in the relationship between Size and Stock Price; however, ROA acts as a mediating variable in the DER and Stock Price relationship, as well as, in the relationship between NPM and Stock Price. The implications of the results of this study can be used by investors in making investment decisions, paying attention to the company's financial aspects, namely DER, NPM, Size, and ROA.

Optimized Lamina Size Maximizing Yield for Cross Laminated Timber Using Domestic Trees

  • The goal of this study was to find the optimum lamina size from red pine (Pinus densiflora) and Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica) logs for the cross laminated timber (CLT) production. From visual inspection of the logs from two species, red pine log showed a larger knot and warp compared to the Japanese cedar. Different cross-sectional sizes of lamina ($110mm{\times}30mm$, $110mm{\times}40mm$, $110mm{\times}50mm$, $50mm{\times}30mm$, $30mm{\times}30mm$) from two species were analyzed for yield and grade. Regardless of the species, the optimized cross sectional size for maximizing the yield was $110mm{\times}30mm$. In grading for the different size laminas from Japanese cedar and red pine, a higher percentage of the first and second grade was found from the $110mm{\times}30mm$ lamina cut.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between company risk and factors such as business size, ownership structure, and leverage. The study was conducted on 142 manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2018. The purposive sampling method was used to select the research sample. The sample size for this study was 21 different companies. The analytical approach uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with WarpPLS. According to the findings of the investigation, the size of the company has a significant influence on both the amount of leverage the company uses and the amount of risk the company takes. The level of leverage is significantly influenced by the ownership structure. However, the ownership structure does not have a significant impact on the level of risk the company; rather, leverage has a big impact on the level of risk the company faces. The findings of this study are helpful to prospective investors in measuring the risk posed by the company to make judgments regarding investments. The findings of this study are also essential for management to consider while controlling the risk of the organization.

  • 고속 Rapier loom에서 위사를 Insert rapier와 Carrier rapier로서 경사를 상부와 하부로 2구분한 개구속으로 투입하여 경사와 위사의 조직을 완성시키는 위입기구는 스크류 구동방식이다. 이는 래피어와 휠의 치수를 줄이고, 기어와 벨트가 없이 직접 주축에 연결하는 구조이다. 그러므로 래피어가 요구하는 어떠한 가속도 곡선이 가능하여 고속화와 가동률 향상에 최적으로 정확한 설계에의한 래피어 운동이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 전체 거동의 파악을 위한 시스템의 정확한 해석과 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통한 Rapier loom의 고속화를 목적으로, 위입기구의 해석이론 정립 및 스크류의 회전에 따라 정확한 운동을 유도할 수 있도록 래피어의 변위, 속도 및 가속도 성분의 도출은 물론 동시에 화면상에 구현할 수 있는 스크류기구에 대한 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하는 것이다.

하이브리드 복합재 철도차량 차체 적용 적층판의 저속충격특성 연구 (A Study on the Low Velocity Impact Response of Woven Fabric Composites for the Hybrid Composite Train Bodyshell)

  • 본 논문에서는 하이브리드 복합재 철도차량차체에 적용되는 복합적층판에 대한 저속충격시험을 수행하였다. 이를 위해 2.4J, 2.7J 및 4.2J의 세 가지 충격에너지 조건에서 세 가지의 다른 적층구조를 갖는 적층판에 대한 저속충격시험을 수행하였다. 시험에 적용된 직조된 카본/에폭시 적층판의 크기는 $100mm\times100mm$ 이다. 충격시험 후 충격하중이력, 흡수된 에너지 및 손상면적 등이 각 충격에너지와 적층순서에 따라 고찰되었다. 손상면적은 육안검사와 C-scan을 이용하여 동시에 검사하였다. 시험결과 흡수된 에너지는 $[fill]_8$, 적층판이 가장 높았고 $[fill_2,/warp_2)_s$ 적층판이 가장 낮았다. 또한 손상면적은 $[fill]_8$, 적층판에서 가장 넓은데 이것은 상대적으로 흡수에너지가 높기 때문이다.

  • Recently, the size of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) carriers has been increasing, in turn increasing the load generated during operation. To handle this load, the thickness of LNG Cargo Containment Systems (CCSs) should be increased. Despite increasing the thickness of LNG CCSs, a secondary barrier is still used in conventional thickness. Therefore, the mechanical performance of the existing secondary barrier should be verified. In this study, tensile test of the secondary barrier was performed to evaluate mechanical properties under several low- and cryogenic-temperature conditions considering LNG environment, and in each fiber direction considering that the secondary barrier is composed of anisotropic composite materials depending on the glass fibers. Additionally, the coefficient of thermal expansion was measured by considering the degradation of the mechanical properties of the secondary barrier caused by the generated thermal stress during periodical unloading. As a result, the mechanical performance of secondary barrier in the Machine Direction (MD) was generally found to be superior than that in the Transverse Direction (TD) owing to the warp interlock structure of the glass fibers.

Development of the Bias-Cut Dress Pattern Making Method by Applying Fabric Draping Ratio

  • This study aimed to investigate a bias pattern making method with geometrical approach. The bias-cut dress has soft silhouette of drape in the garment. However, the bias cut dress has problem of satisfying the intended garment size spec. This problem occurs from various sources. The main reason is that the bias-cut fabric tends to stretch on longitudinal direction and to shrink horizontal direction when it was hung on the body. The goal of this study was to develop a bias-cut dress pattern making method satisfying the intended garment size spec. The researchers developed the geometrical method of measuring dimensional change by calculating the compensation ratio of the fabric in true bias direction. The compensation ratio was calculated by applying draping ratio of the fabric. Three types of fabrics were used in the experiment. The warp and weft crossing angle of fabric was ranged from $78^{\circ}$ to $82^{\circ}$. The fabrics stretched longitudinally 6.9~9.9% and shrank horizontally 7.2~11.0%. The compensation ratio of the bias-cut pattern for sample dress was calculated for each fabric type. Two types of experimental bias-cut dress patterns were developed for each fabric. One pattern was made with applying full compensation ratio and the other one made with applying partial ratio of the fabric. Experimental dresses were made with these patterns. The results of the evaluation showed that the bias-cut dress pattern applying the partial compensation ratio was more appropriate than the pattern applying the full compensation ratio.

Property Changes of Woven Blouse Fabrics by bonding fusible interlinings for a 3D Virtual Try-on System

  • This study aims to analyze the changes in the mechanical properties of woven fabrics(cotton, linen, wool, silk, and polyester) by bonding fusible interlinings with varying deniers(10D, 20D, and 30D) for a 3D virtual try-on system(one that a user to try garments through screens using Avatar) developed over the last decade. We experimented with four mechanical properties and thicknesses of twenty-three specimens of interlining bonded fabrics including face fabrics and interlinings by using the KES-FB-AUTO system. The results showed that the tensile property increased(LT and RT increased and WT decreased) as the denier of the interlining increased; however, the change was slight. In contrast, the bending and shear properties increased significantly as the denier of the interlining increased on both the warp and the weft. This showed evidence that the interlining gives the fabrics size stability. The compression property was slight changed as the tensile property varies depending on the fibers and the denier of interlining. As expected, the thickness increased by bonding the interlining as the denier of interlining increased. From these results, we conclude that 3D users need to reflect these changes of woven fabrics by bonding interlinings when they try screen fittings to accurately express the fabric reality of manufactured garment.
