긴급 공공경보시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Emergency Public Warning System)

  • 공공경보시스템은 재난, 경고 상황을 감지하여 사업자에게 경고를 제공하는 경고 정보 제공자 및 경고 정보를 단말에게 직접 전달하는 이동통신 사업자에 의해 제공되는 일반적 경고 메시지 통지(Warning Notification) 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 주민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위한 재난경보시스템을 ISO TC223의 WG3의 공공경보(Public Warning) 모델, 우리나라의 재난 예 경보 시스템, 재난 예 경보 시스템의 역할, 컬러코드 경보(Colour-coded Alert) 등에 대하여 검토하도록 한다.

  • Collision warning systems have been an active research and development area as the interests and demands for ASV's (Advanced Safety Vehicles) have increased. This paper presents an experimental investigation of a collision warning system for automobiles. A collision warning HiLS(Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation) system has been designed and used to test the collision warning algorithm, radar sensors, and warning displays under realistic operating conditions in the laboratory. the collision warning algorithm is operated by a warning index, which is a function of the warning distance and the braking distance. The computer calculates velocities of the preceding vehicle and following vehicle, relative distance and relative velocity of the vehicles using vehicle simulation models. The relative distance and the relative velocity are applied to the vehicle simulator controlled by a DC motor.

  • The main function of the Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System (FVCWS) is to warn a driver when he or she experiences dangerous situations caused by a forward vehicle. Warning distance algorithms under same dangerous circumstances are often various depending on automobile manufacturers and component suppliers. Human factors also should be considered to warn the driver at an adequate warning distance. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system for evaluating the pertinent warning timing in an identically dangerous situation. The system consists of sensors for measuring speed and acceleration of subject vehicle and target vehicle, controllers to follow the velocity profile properly, and wireless telecommunication equipments for receiving or transmitting the measured data in a real-time. According to actual field tests, it is shown that the developed system is suitable to evaluate warning distance of FVCWS.

첨단경고장치가 사업용 차량 운전자의 운전행태에 미치는 영향 분석 (Identifying the effects of advanced warning devices on the driving behaviors of commercial vehicle drivers)

  • PURPOSES : This study aims to analyze how the installation of advanced warning devices affects individual drivers' driving behaviors with operating record data collected from 100 vehicles. METHODS : With collected data, the changes in individual drivers' driving behaviors, such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), were investigated with respect to the cumulative distance traveled and driving time. For the analysis, operating record data collected from 100 vehicles for seven months were used. RESULTS : The results showed that individual drivers' driving behaviors could be categorized into six different types. In addition, most of the drivers showed unstable warning patterns in the initial stage after installation of an advanced warning device. Approximately 40% of vehicles equipped with advanced warning systems were found to have positive effects, indicating that the frequencies of both FCW and LDW had been continuously decreasing after installation of the system. CONCLUSIONS : The warning device might be helpful for making drivers' driving behaviors safer. Driving behaviors during the initial stage of the system installation, which might be regarded as an adaptation phase, were found to be very unstable compared with normal situations, indicating that adequate education and training should be provided to all the drivers to prevent operator disruption at the initial installation of the system.

  • The object of this article is to study the plausibility of applying human voice warning system to automobiles. Human voice is considered the best tool for warning system in automobiles. For the purpose of comprehending the specific characteristics of relation between noises and properties of the automobiles indoors and voice warning system researcher performed FRF test in order to examine the characteristics of voice output, and FEM simulation to learn the specific properties of the car indoors. And furthermore, surveyed the quality of voice output, using the written inquiry to examine members. The result of the study shows that it is much possible to apply voice warning system to automobiles.

레이더/카메라 센서융합을 이용한 전방차량 충돌경보 시스템 (Forward Collision Warning System based on Radar driven Fusion with Camera)

  • This paper describes a Forward Collision Warning (FCW) system based on the radar driven fusion with camera. The objective of FCW system is to provide an appropriate alert with satisfying the evaluation scenarios of US-NCAP and a driver acceptance. For this purpose, this paper proposed a data fusion algorithm and a collision warning algorithm. The data fusion algorithm generates information of fusion target depending on the confidence of camera sensor. The collision warning algorithm calculates indexes and determines an appropriate alert-timing by using analysis results of manual driving data. The FCW system with the proposed data fusion and collision warning algorithm was investigated via scenarios of US-NCAP and a real-road driving. It is shown that the proposed FCW system can improve the accuracy of an alarm-timing and reduce the false alarm in real roads.

고온건강경보시스템 기준 설정에 관한 연구( I ) - 기준 설정 및 검증 - (Study on the Establishment of Threshold Criteria for Heat Health Watch Warning System in Korea; Part I : Establishment of Criteria and Verification)

  • This study investigates the standard, duration period and excess mortality of extreme heat using the standardized daily mortality data from 1991 to 2004, establishing a standard threshold Criteria for Heat Health Watch Warning System in Korea. It ultimately aims to provide the guidance in building up Heat Health Watch Warning System for Korea by suggesting the standard to quantify thermal stress from heat. The standard threshold Criteria for Heat Health Watch Warning System for Seoul metropolitan city takes into account both daily maximum temperature and daily maximum heat index(HI) and consists of four phases; caution, extreme caution, danger, and extreme danger. Extreme caution phase and danger phase are used as the advisory and warning of extreme heat, respectively. Since the nationwide distribution of the frequency of extreme heat day and the excess mortality rate shows little difference across regions, the standard threshold Criteria for Heat Health Watch Warning System for Seoul metropolitan city can be used for other regions.

The Design of Remote Monitoring and Warning System for Dangerous Chemicals Based on CPS

  • The remote monitoring and warning system for dangerous chemicals is designed with the concept of the Cyber-Physical System (CPS) in this paper. The real-time perception, dynamic control, and information service of major hazards chemicals are realized in this CPS system. The CPS system architecture, the physical layer and the applacation layer, are designed in this paper. The terminal node is mainly composed of the field collectors which complete the data acquisition of sensors and video in the physical layers, and the use of application layer makes CPS system safer and more reliable to monitor the hazardous chemicals. The cloud application layer completes the risk identification and the prediction of the major hazard sources. The early intelligent warning of the major dangerous chemicals is realized and the security risk images are given in the cloud application layer. With the CPS technology, the remote network of hazardous chemicals has been completed, and a major hazard monitoring and accident warning online system is formed. Through the experiment of the terminal node, it can be proved that the terminal node can complete the mass data collection and classify. With this experiment it can be obtained the CPS system is safe and effective. In order to verify feasible, the multi-risk warning based on CPS is simulated, and results show that the system solves the problem of hazardous chemicals enterprises safety management.

정전기 모니터링 시스템 설계 (Design of Electrostatic Monitoring System)

  • 본 논문에서는 정전기 예측 시스템과 경고 메시지 전송 시스템으로 구성된 정전기 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 정전기 예측 시스템은 현재까지의 값을 기반으로 다음 단계의 정전기의 크기를 예측하고, 예측값을 블루투스 통신을 사용하여 무선으로 경고 메시지 전송 시스템으로 전송한다. 경고 메시지 전송 시스템은 정전기 예측 시스템으로부터 들어온 경고 신호를 받아들이고, 소켓 프로그램을 이용하여 상용 SMS 사이트에 접속하여 작업 담당자의 휴대폰으로 경고 메시지를 전송한다. 정전기 예측 시스템에 사용되는 동적 가변 가중치(weight factor)를 가지는 LSR(least square regression) 기반 예측 알고리즘을 개발하였고, 모의 실험에서 가중치를 실시간으로 변화시키는 방법이 표준편차가 약 64.69V로 가장 우수하게 나타났다. 그리고 경고 메시지 전송 시스템에서 보낸 경고 메시지가 약 5초 후에 원격지 작업자의 휴대폰에 표시된 것을 확인하였다.
