반응시간과 선호도를 고려한 승용차 Warning Control 의 인간공학적 설계 (Ergonomic Design of Warning Control in Passenger Car Based on Response Time and Preference)

  • Warning control is one of the most important components in driver's cabin for achieving safe driving. The purpose of this study is to suggest ergonomically optimal location and type of passenger car's warning control. An experiment was conducted using driving simulator, in which nine locations and two types of warning controls -push button, rocker switch- were employed as experimental variables, and response time for warning signal and preference for locations and types of warning controls were measured as dependent variables. The results showed that response time for warning signal was the shortest when warning control was located at the middle left corner of the center fascia, and was the second at the middle center of the center fascia. Preference for warning signal was the highest at the middle left comer of the center fascia, and was the second between the steering wheel column and the center fascia. Although push button was not preferred to rocker switch, response time was shorter for push button than for rocker switch. It was suggested from these results that warning control with the type of push button should he located at among the middle left corner of the center fascia, the middle center of the center fascia, and between the steering wheel column and the center fascia.

소형선박용 기적경고신호 수신.경보시스템 개발 (Development of Whistle Signal Reception and Alert System for Small Vessel)

  • In the last 5 years, collisions of fishing vessels have recorded about 54.6% of the total marine accidents. Specially about 64.0% of these collisions were caused by navigator's negligence of watch keeping during works. The purpose of this paper is to develop vessel detecting system that is able to receive the whistle blast of other vessel and make a warning sound and light when the fishermen can not confirm the approaching another vessel on account of fishing works. It is designed to receive the whistle signal blast by a weather tight microphone. The signal is processed by analog active filter in order to enhance the SNR(Signal to noise ratio). And this microprocessor-based system is programmed to do ADC(Analog to digital converting), FFT analysis, controls of warning sound and light.

오신호 입력에 따른 펌프의 고장징후 조기감지 성능분석 (Performance Analysis on Early Detection of Fault Symptom of a Pump with Abnormal Signals)

  • As a method to improve the equipment reliability, early warning researches that can be detected fault symptom of an equipment at an early stage are being performed out among developed countries. In this paper, when abnormal signal is input to actual normal signal of a pump, early detection studies on pump's fault symptom were carried out with auto-associative kernel regression as an advanced pattern recognition algorithm. From analysis, correlations among power of motor driving pump, discharge flow of pump, power output of pump, and discharge pressure of pump are exited. When the abnormal signal is input to one of those normal signals, the other expected values are changed due to the influence of the abnormal signal. Therefore, the fault symptom of pump through the early-warning index is able to detect at an early stage.

자동우량경보시설 경보발령기준 검토 연구 - 수위, 유출량, 강수량의 관계를 중심으로 - (A Study on Warnning Criteria Investigation of Automated Rainfall Warning System -Focused on Realationship of Water Level, Discharge and Precipitation -)

  • 자동우량경보시설은 산간계곡 집중호우시 상류지역의 강우상황을 관측, 하류지역 행락야영객에게 자동으로 경보를 발령하거나 안내방송을 실시하여 인명피해를 예방하기 위한 시설이다. 그러나 이 시설의 기존 발령 기준은 유역특성을 고려하지 않고 일률적으로 관측강우량의 10분간의 이동합이 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm 이상인 경우에 각각 경계경보, 대피 1경보, 대피 2경보를 발령하였다. 이에 2003년 지방자치단체 및 유관 단체에서는 유역특성을 고려하여 위험수위, 한계유출량, 기준강우량 등의 분석을 통하여 경보발령기준을 재설정하였다. 본 연구에서는 경보발령기준이 재설정된 지역중 실적 강우 취득이 가능한 경남 거창군 월성지구를 대상으로 기존 및 재설정된 발령기준을 위험수심, 한계유출량, 기준강우량 등을 고려하여 검토하였다. 또한, 기존의 발령기준 우량, 개선된 발령기준 우량 및 금회분석을 통해 산정된 발령기준 우량을 상호비교하였다. 1분단위 변환 실적강우로 발령기준을 검토한 결과 기존안은 너무 많은 경보를 발령하게 된다. 개선안도 경보의 발령횟수 측면에서는 기준을 약간 상향조정할 필요가 있다. 그러나, 경보기준우량의 상향조정은 안전측면에서 신중할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

신호접근법을 이용한 건화물시장 해운조기경보모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Early Warning Model in the Dry Bulk Shipping Industry by Signal Approach)

  • 해운산업은 파생적 수요의 특성으로 대외적 요인에 영향을 크게 받는다. 하지만, 공급 측면은 이러한 수요의 변화에 즉각적으로 대응할 수 없는 특성 때문에 해운산업은 호황과 불황을 거듭하게 된다. 그러므로 정부는 이러한 상황에 대응하기 위해 조기경보모형을 구축해 시장을 모니터링하고 다가올 위험을 예측하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 신호접근법을 사용해 조기경보모형을 구축하였으며, 위기지수는 BDI를 사용해 정의하였으며 금융, 경제, 선박 등 다양한 선행지수를 활용해 종합선행지수를 도출하였다. 그 결과, 종합선행지수가 해운분야의 실제 위기지수와 비교해 4개월의 시차를 두고 높은 상관관계를 보였고, QPS(Quadratic Probability Score)가 0.37로 정확도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

RF 방사 신호 차폐를 통한 비상 유압경고등의 비정상 점등 현상의 원인분석 및 개선 (Analysis and Improvement of False Alarm Phenomenon of Emergency Hydraulic Warning Light by Shielded RF Radiation Signal)

  • 본 논문에서는 항공기 내의 RF 방사 신호로 인하여 비상 유압 경고등이 비정상으로 점등되는 현상에 대한 개선 방안을 연구하였다. RF 방사 신호의 전자파 간섭으로 비행 중에 비상 유압 시스템의 경고등이 점등되면, 비행 임무 및 안전에 영향을 주어 비행 임무의 효율 저해 및 정비 소요가 발생한다. 따라서, 비상 유압 경고등의 비정상 점등에 대해서 원인 분석 및 고장탐구를 수행하였다. RF 방사 신호의 경로에 있는 항공기의 동체 하부 복합체 스트립을 차폐하여 비상유입지시계로 유입되는 RF 방사 신호를 차단하도록 개선하였다. 또한, 지상과 비행 모니터링을 통해 개선 방안을 적용한 결과도 함께 기술하였다.

수량화 분석을 이용한 신호단어의 인식도 평가 (Evaluation of the Signal Word Cognition using Quantification Methods)

  • Signal words such as DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, etc. have been used in order to transmit a potential hazard easily and quickly. But they were applied to a number of the sites without consistency. Thus, this study took Quantification Method and Cluster Analysis in order to judge the signal words corresponding to the urgency of situations, and to analyze whether signal words are used properly or not. According to the result of Quantification Method II signal words were most affected by Understanding, Severity and Likelihood in both student group and industrial worker group. And in Quantification Method III CAUTION corresponded to Immediacy and Understanding whereas NOTICE did to Receptivity, WARNING, DEADLY and DANCER did to Likelihood, Dangerousness and Severity. Finally, Cluster Analysis showed that CAUTION and NOTICE were recognized as similar words.

Ergonomic Recommendation for Optimum Positions and Warning Foreperiod of Auditory Signals in Human-Machine Interface

  • This study investigated the optimum positions and warning foreperiod for auditory signals with an experiment on spatial stimulus-response (S-R) compatibility effects. The auditory signals were presented at the front-right, front-left, rear-right, and rear-left positions from the subjects, whose reaction times and accuracies at different spatial mapping conditions were examined. The results showed a significant spatial stimulus-response compatibility effect in which faster and more accurate responses were obtained in the transversely and longitudinally compatible condition while the worst performance was found when spatial stimulus-response compatibility did not exist in either orientation. It was also shown that the transverse compatibility effect was found significantly stronger than the longitudinal compatibility effect. The effect of signal position was found significant and post hoc test suggested that the emergent warning alarm should be placed on the front-right position for right-handed users. The warning foreperiod prior to the signal presentation was shown to influence reaction time and a warning foreperiod of 3 s is found optimal for the 2-choice auditory reaction task.

  • This paper describes the development of portable arousal measurement and analysis system. Skin impedance change which responds to the change of arousal level was detected by the three elctrode constant current method and separated into two components(SIR, SIL). Relationship between Nz, IRI and arousal level was studied and criteria of arousal level control was decided by the sleep study. Measured data with and without warning signal were compared and analyzed.

  • The side and rear-side collision warning system using fuzzy control algorithms is discussed in this paper. Common rearside warning system has many problems. For example if target vehicle comes into the warning area, it must unconditionally warn. Drivers could be interrupted by it. To solve the problem, I divided measuring area into two sections. One section is blind area of vehicle and the other rear-side area. For blind area, obtained data was filtered inefficient warning signal by using relative velocity method. For rear-side area, a fuzzy logic algorithm is used to recognition of obstacles. According to our experiment relative velocity method and fuzzy logic algorithms were very efficient.
