임베디드 시스템과 무선 랜을 이용한 이동성이 높은 재고단위의 위치관리 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Location Management System of Stock Keeping Unit with High Mobility Using Embedded System and Wireless LAN)

  • 보관 중인 제품의 정확한 위치를 파악하는 것이 창고관리의 필수적인 요소이다. 그러나 제품이 빈번하게 위치를 변경하며 보관되는 경우에는 그 위치 파악이 어렵게 되며 이로 인해 효율적 창고관리가 불가능해진다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템과 무선 랜을 이용하여, 이러한 이동성이 높은 재고단위(SKU : Stock Keeping Unit)의 창고 내 위치관리에 응용할 수 있는 새로운 시스템을 제안한다. 시스템은 RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification)와 관리 단말기, 모바일 기기인 휴대폰과 PDA 그리고 중앙 관리 시스템으로 구성된다. 시스템의 사례로 이동성이 높은 재고단위의 모델인 대형 중고자동차의 위치관리시스템을 선택하였으며, 시스템이 운용되는 각 부서의 업무를 분석 후 기능별로 구현하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 무선 랜이 접목된 임베디드 시스템이 이동성 높은 재고단위의 입출고 상황과 창고 내에서의 위치를 실시간 적으로 정확하게 파악할 수 있어, 창고의 운영 및 관리를 체계적으로 처리할 수 있음을 보인다.

  • Today's businesses are experiencing intensive global competition and the most accelerating pace of change ever. Competitors have sprung up that were not even on the business's radar. This environment impacts all decisions and strategies as business try to dominate their market or their industry merely to survive. So recently most of organizations are considering on building the data warehouse system to pursuit the business intelligence. We need the proper model to guide the approach to plan building data warehouse system when we want to plan it in considering the organizational status. Therefore we suggest a model to decide the approach to build data warehouse considering the project's environmental factors. First we review Ronald S. Swift(1998)'s five environmental factors that we have to consider when planing to build data warehouse. Then we propose a model to decide DW approach by the degree of those factors to be measured. DW approaches in this model are classified in conservative approach, technological approach, increasing approach. enterprise- wide approach, and ideal approach.

  • This study considers warehouse sizing decisions in an integrated single vendor-single buyer production inventory system by incorporating new decision variables and constraints associated with warehouse size into the formulations. Two typical inventory control policies proposed in the literature (i.e., Identical Delivery Quantity and Deliver What is Produced) have been investigated with consideration of warehouse investment costs. The numerical study shows that Deliver What is Produced is less flexible than Identical Delivery Quantity, resulting in the conclusion that the latter would be preferable when considering warehouse investment costs.

  • Recently, in the problem of multi-order processing in logistics warehouses, multi-pickup systems are changing from the form in which workers walk around the warehouse to the form in which goods come to workers. These changes are shortening the time to process multiple orders and increasing production. This study considered the sequence problem of which warehouse the items to be loaded on each truck come first and which items to be loaded first when loading multiple pallet-unit goods on multiple trucks in an industrial smart logistics automation warehouse. To solve this problem efficiently, we use the mutant algorithm, which combines the GA algorithm and ACO algorithm, and compare with original system.

  • RFID is used for tracking systems in various business fields these days and these systems brought considerable efficiencies and cost savings to companies. Real-time based information acquired through RFID devices could be a valuable source of information for making decisions if it is combined with decision support tools like OLAP of a data warehouse that has originally been designed for analyzing static and historical data. As an effort of extending the data source of a data warehouse, RFID is combined with a data warehouse in this research. And OLAP is designed to analyze the dynamic real-time based information gathered through RFID devices. The implemented prototype shows that ubiquitous computing technology such as RFID could be a valuable data source for a data warehouse and is very useful for making decisions when it is combined with online analysis. The system architecture of such system is suggested.

  • In automatization of a warehouse for plate products, the selecting control of the number of steel plates to be lifted by a lifting magnet crane and the roller table control of steel plates being transported on are indispensible key technolgies. POSCO had developed these elementary technologies for the product warehouse of the plate mill in Pohang Works and succeeded in making the operation of the large-scale warehouse for plate products.

  • When designing a warehouse, one has to recognize that the number of racks in a warehouse takes on only integer value in reality. The existing solution procedures based on noninteger values may result in poor outcomes for the design of a warehouse. This paper deals with the determination of the optimal integer for the number of racks that minimize the total material handling cost associated with the warehouse. An optimum search procedure is proposed here and a number of numerical examples are used to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed procedure.

웹 기반 자동창고시스템 시뮬레이터의 개발 : Web-SAW (Development of Web-based Simulator for an Automated Warehouse System : Web-SAW)

  • Simulation has been recognized as one of major application areas of world wide web. Over the last several years, most research has been focused on the development of web-based simulation languages mostly using JAVA and validation of simulation modeling on web with the newly developed languages. In this paper, we develop a tentative web-based simulator for a simple unit-load automated warehouse system, named Web-SAW. In constructing Web-SAW, we program a user interface program, a simulation logic program, and an animation program with JAVA while utilizing the class library functions and embodiment environment of existing web-based simulation languages. Web-SAW simulates the automated warehouse system with the user input about system operation, displays the animation on a static background representing the system, and generates the various textual outputs after simulation.

  • 과거와 다르게 최근의 병원들은 정보화로 인해서 상당한 양의 의료 데이터가 저장되어 있어서 이의 효과적인 이용에 관심을 가지고 있다. 그러나 기존 통합병원정보시스템(Integrated Hospital Information System)은 아직까지 일반관리와 원무관리 중에서 벗어나지 못하고 있다. 품질 좋은 의료 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 환자 중심의 진료 및 진료지원, 임상연구 등을 종합적으로 지원하기 위한 데이터 웨어하우스(Data Warehouse)의 필요성이 대두되기 시작했다. 이에 본 연구는 병원 전체 차원에서 데이터 웨어하우스의 아키텍쳐를 설계하고 개발하는 데 주안점을 두었다. 특히, 임상 데이터 웨어하우스(Clinical Data Warehouse)에 초점을 두었으며 이에 대한 프로토타입은 J 병원에 적용되어서 개발되었다.

  • Data warehouse is an intelligent store of data. A metadata is critical for implementing data warehouse. Integrating data warehouse with its metadata helps create a more adaptive information system. This paper proposes a metadata-oriented data warehouse architecture that consists of seven components: legacy, extracting, operational data store, data warehouse, data mart, application, and metadata. A taxonomy for dataflow and metaflow is proposed for better understanding of the architecture. In addition, a metadata schema is built within the framework of the seven components. Lastly, the architecture with its metadata component is applied to a real-life data warehouse project for a large medical center in order to illustrate its practical usefulness.
