BREDON HOMOLOGY OF WALLPAPER GROUPS

  • In this paper we compute the Bredon homology of wallpaper groups with respect to the family of finite groups and with coefficients in the complex representation ring. We provide explicit bases of the homology groups in terms of irreducible characters of the stabilizers.

인테리어 내장재의 고급감에 관한 시각 및 촉각변수의 수량화 모형 개발 (Development of Quantification Models on Visual and Tactile Design Characteristics for the Luxuriousness of Interior Covering Materials)

  • Affective aspects of design attributes such as color, Pattern, and texture are important to the overall impression and the success of interior products. Among all the interior materials, wallpapers and flooring materials take up largest construction area and they are main components in creating affective impression for customers. This study aims to investigate the relationship between luxuriousness and related affective variables and design elements of wallpapers and flooring materials. The approach consists of 3 steps: (1) selecting related affective features and product design attributes through a literature survey, opinion of expert panel, and focus group interview, (2) conducting evaluation experiments, and (3) developing Kansei models using multivariate statistical analysis and analyzing critical attributes. Evaluation experiment was conducted using a questionnaire made up of 7-point scale and 100-point scale and 30 housewives and 20 interior designers participated in the evaluation experiment. The result of evaluation was analyzed through principal component regression and quantification I analysis. As a result of analyzing the survey data, the relationship between luxuriousness and related affective features and product design attributes was identified, moreover a optimal combination of the design component was identified. Consequently, it is expected that the results of the study would be a basis of the concept of emotion-based design by giving insights about how customers perceive the luxuriousness and suggesting the optimal combination, and providing specific quantitative design guidelines.

아파트의 친환경적 실내마감재에 대한 인테리어 디자이너와 주부의 인식 및 선호 비교 (A Comparison of the Awareness and Preferences of Interior Designers and Housewives for Environment Friendly Interior Finishing Materials in Apartments)

  • As a response to the recent increase in the Interest in environment friendly interior finishing materials, the purpose of this study is to compare the awareness of environment friendly interior finishing materials between interior designers and housewives, as representatives of two different consumer groups, and to examine how the preferences between them differ. The study participant group for this research consisted of 80 interior designers working in Gwangju, and 166 housewives who were residents of a number of apartments in Gwangju. Self administered questionnaires were provided to the participants and were then collected. Unpaired t-tests and $x^2$ tests were used to compare the prevalence of epidemiological factors and the variables that revealthe awareness and the preference between the two groups. While it was expected that both groups would source information using the internet, the housewives group showed a tendency to also seek advice from others in the selection of environment friendly interior finishing materials. Interior-designers considered the high price and the lack of diverse products as the most serious problems involved in selecting environment friendly interior finishing materials. Interior-designers chose design, color and long-term use, and the method of maintenance as standards by which to choose interior materials in general, while the housewives considered 'environment friendly' as the most important standard. Both groups however favored environment friendly materials. There was no difference between the two groups in terms of their belief in the need to trust a well known brand name and in the importance of a Green-label placed on interior finishing materials such as wallpaper, paint and laminate flooring.

황련(Coptis Radix)으로부터 분리된 물질의 항균효능 및 화장품 약리활성에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Antimicrobial Activity and the Pharmacological Activities of matrial Isolated from Coptis Radix)

  • 본 연구는 황련으로부터 분리된 fraction의 항균효능과 항산화 효과를 평가하고 그것의 화장품 소재로서의 가능성을 확인하였다. 황련으로부터 분리된 fraction의 항균활성은 Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans 균주로 disc diffusion 방법을 통해 생육저해환(clear zone)을 측정하였다. 그 결과 Fr. 1을 제외한 모든 시료에서 S. aureus와 candida. A에서 항균활성을 나타내는 것으로 확인 하였다. 항산화 평가를 위해 황련 fraction의 농도(50, 125, 250) ${\mu}g/mL$에 따라 처리하여 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) 라디칼 소거능과 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) 양이온 라디칼 소거능을 확인하였다. 그 결과 Fr. 1, 2, 3, 4의 $250{\mu}g/mL$ 농도에서 DPPH 라디칼 소거능 활성이 각 11.4%, 30.3%, 42.0%, 53.1%로 $ABTS^+$ 라디칼 소거능 활성은 동일농도에서 각 28.6%, 96.2%, 98.6%, 97.1%로 나타났다. Fr. 3, 4는 동일농도의 대조군 BHT 활성의 86.5%보다 높은 활성산소 저해능을 보였다. 황련의 세포독성을 측정한 WST assay 결과에서 Fr. 4를 제외하고는 Fr. 1, 2, 3은 독성을 나타내지 않았다. 이러한 결과로 황련으로부터 분리된 fraction은 항균능과 항산화 능을 가지는 화장품 소재로서의 가치를 가진다고 볼 수 있다.
