CUDA 환경에서 CUSUM 검증의 병렬화 (Parallelization of CUSUM Test in a CUDA Environment)

  • NIST통계적 난수 검증 모음에 속한 누적 합(CUSUM) 검증을 CUDA 환경에서 병렬화하였다. 배열 사유화를 적용하여 스칼라 변수에 저장하던 랜덤 워크(random walk) 값을 배열 변수에 저장하여 데이터 의존성을 제거하였다. 자료 구조 변경에 따라 알고리즘 각 단계에 병렬 스캔, 스캐터 및 병렬 축약 적용이 가능하게 되었다. 또한 CPU를 사용하여 진행되던 부분을 GPU가 담당하게 하여 두 프로세서 사이의 데이터 이동으로 인해 발생하는 직렬화를 해소하였다. 마지막으로 전역 메모리 접근을 최적화하여 전체적으로 순차적 구현 대비 약 23배에 달하는 성능 향상을 달성하였다. 이 결과는 검증 모음의 실행시간 단축과 더불어 암호 키 보안 향상을 위한 난수 연구에 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

정신지체 아동의 보행능력 향상을 위한 보봐스 접근법 : 개별실험연구 (The Bobath Approach for Walking Improvement on Child with Mental Retardation)

  • Purpose : In this case report, we demonstrated the improvement of gait ability on the child who has mental retardation with incomplete gait pattern. Methods : The subject was a 4 years old boy with mental retardation. We applied the Bobath approach to the subject. Treatments included to facilitate trunk alignment and stability, and to train weight bearing and shifting, to facilitate pelvis posterior-anterior movement, and to train walk especially stance phase and assist up-down stairs locomotion in environment similar to actual daily life. It was performed 24 sessions for 12 weeks. Results : With this treatment, he could accomplish dynamic standing stability and he could independent walk at the out door after 12 weeks. In gross motor function measure(GMFM), total motor function was improved to 85.6% from 75.7%. Conclusion : The gait ability of child with mental retardation was improved by using the bobath approach.

유압구동식 4족보행 로봇의 설계 및 제어 (Design and Control of a Hydraulic Driven Quadruped Walking Robot)

  • This paper proposes the trot gait pattern generation and online control methods for a quadruped robot to carry heavy loads and to move fast on uneven terrain. The trot pattern is generated from the frequency modulated pattern generation method based on the frequency modulated oscillator in order for the legged robots to be operated outdoor environment with the static and dynamic mobility. The efficiency and performance of the proposed method are verified through computer simulations and experiments using qRT-1/-2. In the experiments, qRT-2 which has two front legs driven by hydraulic linear actuators and two rear casters is used. The robot can trot at the speed up to 1.3 m/s on even surface, walk up and down the 20 degree inclines, and walk at 0.7 m/s on uneven surface. Also it can carry over 100 kg totally including 40 kg payload.

Experimental and numerical analysis of mixed mode I/III fracture of sandstone using three-point bending specimens

  • In this work the mixed mode I/III fracture of sandstone has been studied experimentally and numerically. The experimental work used three-point bending specimens containing pre-existing cracks, machined at various inclination angles so as to achieve varying proportions of mode I to mode III loading. Dimensionless stress intensity factors were calculated using the extended finite element method (XFEM) for and compared with existing results from literature calculated using conventional finite element method. A total of 28 samples were used to conduct the fracture test with 4 specimens for each of 7 different inclination angles. The fracture load and the geometry of the fracture surface were obtained for different mode mixities. Prediction of the fracture loads and the geometry of the fracture surface were made using XFEM coupled with a cohesive zone model (CZM) and showed a good comparison with the experimental results.

  • Unplanned growth of the city was established, despite many elementary, School facilities outside the city is still lacking. Basically should be able to walk to school through elementary school in the case of excessive distance, issues such as unsafe in the school environment and the school, overcrowding, excessive relieve classroom learning environment, with the improvement of the overall situation is necessary. In this study, the status for local public elementary school environment, research and analysis, case studies, research, and through community and resolve problems derived as a school bus for the introduction of alternative feasibility analysis.

  • SAFRS(Spontaneous Acoustic Field Reproduction System) is a system to sense changes of surroundings and produce sounds which can go well with environment elements sensed by the system in to the space. The sounds were judged by individual evaluation and, the classification of the preferred sounds according to the mood of the space was suggested in the former study. Effectiveness of SAFRS with field application was validated by prior studies which dealt with researching acoustic environment, evaluating images of sounds, and rating environment with existence and nonexistence of sound resources such as fountains and the system after applied in D university. In this study, for more effective field application of SAFRS, research for the acoustic environment around sound resources and subjective evaluation of the preference of the sounds from the resources were made and it was considered that the results of the experiments should be primary information to propose proper sound level to be offered by the system. The results of the study are as follows; 1) It was considered that the ambience of the center road was dependent upon produced sounds by the system and water sounds of the fountain and that of walk way was mostly dependent upon produced sounds. 2) The results of the subjective evaluation showed that the distance from sound resources was suggestive; the more distant from produced sounds the less full and clear the sounds, the less distant from the sounds of water the more delight and idyllic ambience, and the less distant from the forest the more idyllic ambient and diversity. 3) The results upwards were telling that an average value of six elements for the evaluation was even at the place set back 10.2m from center road and walk way. And harmony of all sounds of the place should be considered to propose suitable sound level of SAFRS.

생활도로 보행환경 개선사업의 효과 연구 (Study on the Effects of Pedestrian Improvement Projects)

  • 이 연구에서는 보행환경 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 찾기 위하여 시민 283명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 보행환경개선사업이 시행된 서울의 6개 지역을 선정하여 생활도로 보행 시 보행환경에 대한 만족도를 조사하였다. 리커트 5점 척도를 이용한 조사 결과 보행환경에 대한 만족도는 평균 2.88 표준편차 1.12인 것으로 조사되어 만족도가 낮은 수준임을 확인하였다. 보행환경 만족도와 세부항목들 사이의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 보행환경 만족도와 상관계수가 높은 세부항목은 보행시 안전성(0.640), 걷고 싶은 느낌(0.603), 보행시 쾌적성(0.601), 산책하거나 대화를 나누기에 적당함(0.586) 등인 것으로 분석되었다. 이 연구는 생활도로 보행환경 개선사업의 실효성을 높이기 위해서는 안전을 중시하면서도 시설물을 설치하는 데 머물기보다 쾌적한 환경을 조성하기 위한 보다 적극적인 개념의 생활도로 환경정비 기법을 적용해야 할 것이며 주민참여가 중요하다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Along with the development of industrious society, the shape of city and the way of life have changed in accordance. The development of the city deepened gravitation of the city population, leading to the lack of housing and land, and apartment complexes became an alternative way of securing a number of families into a small space of land. Apartment can have a lot of families reside In a small space of land, and it can also be satisfactory to individual's privacy and anti-crime measures. On the other hand, there are negative problems with it. Among them, contacts with neighboring people showed that they only greeted each other when they met in the walkway. As shown in this, one of the reasons that there is a lack of friend ship activities is because there is short of space for common use. And in comparison to those of stairway walkway, apartments with one-passage walk way showed a higher level of contacts with neighbors. It is assumed that apartments with one-passage walk way have more chances to meet neighbors than do those of stairway walkway. This study analyzed the phases appearing in neighbor relations through investigation of the literature, and presented a coping measure. One solution is to prepare flower beds from the outside of walkway by enlarging the width of the walkway in apartments with one-passage walk way, and providing benches in front of flower beds so that residents can take a rest there. The more often residential people take a rest there, the more frequently they can meet each other. Accordingly this can solve problems of contacts with neighbors and the dreary scene of walkway can become a wider view in a nature friendly environment, bringing them to an active acquaintance activities.

Analytical Approach of New Random-walk Based Mobility Management Scheme in IP-based Mobile Networks

  • In next-generation wireless networks, provisioning of IP-based network architecture and seamless transmission services are very important issues for mobile nodes. For this reason, a mobility management mechanism to support global roaming is highly regarded. These technologies bring a broader life by using a global roaming account through the connection of multiple devices or technology to mobile users; they also provide real-time multimedia services. This paper presents a comprehensive performance analysis of fast handover for hierarchical mobile IPv6 (F-HMIPv6), hierarchical mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6), Proxy Mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6), and fast Proxy Mobile IPv6 (FPMIPv6) using the fluid-flow model and random-walk model. As a result, the location update cost of the PMIPv6 and FPMIPv6 is better than that of HMIPv6 and F-HMIPv6. These results suggest that the network-based mobility management technology is superior to the hierarchical mobility management technology in the mobility environment.
