Background: In South Korea, 22.3% of women ${\geq}50years$ of age and 37% of women ${\geq}70years$ of age visit the doctor to obtain treatment for osteoporosis. According to the analysis of the National Health Insurance Services claim data between 2008 and 2012, the number and incidence of hip and vertebral fractures increased during the same period. Denosumab, a newly marketed medicine in Korea, is the first RANK inhibitor. Methods: A cost-utility analysis was conducted from a societal perspective to prove the superiority of denosumab to alendronate. A Markov cohort model was used to investigate the cost-effectiveness of denosumab. A 6-month cycle length was used in the model, and all patients were individually followed up through the model, from their age at treatment initiation to their time of death or until 100 years of age. The model consisted of eight health states: well; hip fracture; vertebral fracture; wrist fracture; other osteoporotic fracture; post-hip fracture; post-vertebral fracture; and dead. All patients began in the well-health state. In this model, 5% discounted rate, two-year maximum offset time, and persistence were adopted. Results: The total lifetime costs for alendronate and denosumab were USD 5,587 and USD 6,534, respectively. The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) for denosumab versus alendronate was USD 20,600/QALY. Given the ICER threshold in Korea, the results indicated that denosumab was remarkably superior to alendronate. Conclusion: Denosumab is a cost-effective alternative to the oral anti-osteoporotic treatment, alendronate, in South Korea.

This study mainly analyzes that designing patterns of an adult women Jeogori that takes advantage of patterns from each textbooks and complements the disadvantages based on the analysis of data from the dress evaluation and comparison of materials. The modification of a size specification is needed for the standard body as an adjust of the length of Jogori between front and back, mediation for bust width between front and back, a movement for the based line of Sup and Godae. As a result, the suitable pattern according to the standard somatotype is as below. Jeogori Length of front is determined by the length of back which was measured from side neck point to bust point plus three centimeters, and give three and half centimeters more in front. This three and half centimeters is for the curved in front of your body due to the chest. Bust width of front and back have to show the differences of human body. Bust width of front is calculated as bust girth into quarters and add two centimeters. Bust width of back gives one centimeter behind the curve from the center line in order to reduce the floating phenomenon. So, the amount of center back line dart is one centimeter. Arm hole girth measures as dividing bust girth into four. Also, Goedae width has two methods to measure. First, divide bust girth into ten equal parts and subtract 0.5 centimeters from it. Second, measure neck girth and divide it by four. Sleeve length is equal to Hwajang minus bust width of front. Hand wrist calculates in using bust girth. Make bust girth into quarters and multiply three fifths. Side line measures as deducting from Jeogori length of back to Arm hole girth and multiply two thirds.
VR content manipulation equipment is not easy for individuals to access because it requires high prices. Especially, in the case of a system for tracking the motion of the user among the VR contents, a separate optical sensor device using an infrared camera is generally used. The disadvantage of the optical sensor equipment is that the measurable range is dependent on the measurement direction when tracking the rotation motion when using only a single device. In order to solve the above problems, this paper shows that the inertial sensor of the smartphone, which is generally owned by the public, can track the rotational motion of the user regardless of the measurement direction . The system using the LeapMotion is used as the reference system, and the system using the smart phone is defined as the evaluation system, and the usability of the evaluation system is verified by comparing the user satisfaction of the two systems.
Though there might exist not a few differences between cyclic works and atypical works, many researchers have applied the same assessment techniques that used for repetitive works, which may result introduce bias in their conclusions. This research aimed to verify whether there exist non-negligible work characteristics and/or dissimilarity among works with different work nature and whether one of the most prevalent assessment techniques for assessing ergonomic hazards of musculoskeletal disorders, REBA, can be applied to atypical works. For a general hospital, an automobile repair shop, and two auto-part assembly plants which manufactures quite different parts, a questionnaire survey and field investigation and ergonomic assessment were carried out and analyzed statistically with reference to the 3rd Quantification technique. The results showed that there exist remarkable difference between physical factors in cyclic works and atypical non-cyclic works. As for repetitive work, body posture was significant factors affecting on musculoskeletal disorders while atypical works seemed to have none which implied that the necessity of taking psychosocial factors into account for assessment of hazards. Complain rate in repetitive works was highest shoulder, back, and neck or wrist in sequence. However, there existed no consistent trend in complain rate in atypical works. And, though weight of manufacturing objects was a common factor that can partly explain musculoskeletal complain, time duration was significant in atypical work whereas repeatability and body posture were significant in repetitive works. As being the results, to summarize, it could be said that application of conventional ergonomic assessment techniques regardless of repetitiveness would be fruitless, and that the necessity of a unique methodology focused on atypical non-cyclic works should not be neglected.

This paper defines a distance graph for a hand region in a depth image and proposes an algorithm detecting finger using it. The distance graph is a graph expressing the hand contour with angles and Euclidean distances between the center of palm and the hand contour. Since the distance graph has local maximum at fingertips' position, we can detect finger points and recognize the number of them. The hand contours are always divided into 360 angles and the angles are aligned with the center of the wrist as a starting point. And then the proposed algorithm can well detect fingers without influence of the size and orientation of the hand. Under some limited recognition test conditions, the recognition test's results show that the recognition rate is 100% under 1~3 fingers and 98% under 4~5 fingers and that the failure case can also be recognized by simple conditions to be available to add.

In this paper, we propose an algorithm for analyzing personal health log information in android environment, providing personal health log information in android environment, providing personalized exercise information and monitoring the condition of pedestrians. Personal health log data collection is performed based on raw data of user using MPU6050 sensor based on Arduino. Noise was removed and age threshold was applied to distinguish movement information. In addition, to protect personal information, safety is enhanced by providing anti-compilation prevention and encryption/decryption of APK file, and the result of movement information collection is measured according to sensor location. Experimental results showed that the MPU6050 sensor mounted one the ankle wsa measured 98.97% more accurately then the wrist. In addition, the loading time of SEED 128 bit encryption based DEX file has the average time of 0.55ms, minimizing the overhead.
Korea has become an aged society according to the UN specifications. The number of the aged population will increase drastically, and the number of single aged people will also increase. Products used in our daily life are manufactured within the normal capabilities of people. Thus, aged people have encountering problems in using them. Numerous products are used in our daily lives. The purpose of this study is to find the acceptable torque for aged people to open the caps of processed food containers. Depending on the size and shape of the opening hand, hand operation has been classified into three categories. A total of one hundred and nine people participated in this study. Fifty nine people in the 20-30 year old range and fifty people in their 60-70's. Results of the study are as follows: 1) For all categories the acceptable cap torque data for the aged people are established. To satisfy 95% of the aged people, it was found that $74N{\cdot}cm$ for type A caps, and $141N{\cdot}cm$ for B type caps. and $214N{\cdot}cm$ for type C were the acceptable torque levels. 2) The appropriate level of torque for opening the cap was found to be 70% of the maximum torque for the aged people.(71.4% for type A. 71.4% for type B. 72.2% for type C). 3) Capabilities of the 70's drops sharply in function related to opening cap (maximum torque, gripping force, and wrist movement range). 4) Among aged subjects, 65.0% for type A, 42.0% for type B, and 68.8% for type C, had difficulties in opening the container caps.
The clip-type pulsimeter equipped with a magnetic sensing Hall device and the most popular body sign of the electrocardiogram (ECG) were investigated in order to analyze the pulse wave velocity (PWV). The PWV simultaneously calculated by means of time difference between the maximum peak of ECG pulse wave and the starting point of radial artery pulse wave, and distance difference between the heart position and the radial wrist position. The PWV analyzed from the clinical data was a wider scope of 5~7 m/s with an average value of 6 m/s. By the prediction of blood vessel's elasticity from the analysis of PWV, it may be useful for developing an oriental-western diagnostic medical signal device for a U-health-care system in the future.
Musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) problems have been increasingly reported in hospital sector but the problems were not addressed with respect to holistic aspects of the target population in Korea. Often, it is required to understand how MSD symptoms are associated with factors such as personal, work environmental and psychosocial stressors. To examine features of association between sets of MSD symptoms and the factors, a questionnaire survey was conducted in a university hospital. A 140-item questionnaire was developed and used for collecting information including factors (e.g., job/occupation, task/activity, job stress) and MSD symptoms. A total of 1,091 workers (male 23.7% and female 76.3%) were finally determined for data analyses. Prevalence rate for the whole body was 72% and, among body parts, the highest was 48.7% for the shoulder, followed by 34.6%(the low back), 32.7%(the leg/foot), 27.9%(the neck), 26.7%(the wrist) and 12%(the elbow). The symptoms were significantly different by job/occupational variable in each of all body parts except the neck. The symptoms were very significantly different by task/activity variables in each of all body parts while those symptoms were significantly different by psychosocial variables, depending on body part and gender. In the logistic regression analyses performed for MSD symptoms by body part and each of 3 factors, odds ratio values varied, ranging from 0.7 to 3.3. The controls for reducing the symptoms were discussed on the basis of the findings. The results show that the MSD symptoms can remarkably vary by the factors and, in particular, can be highly differential for the task/activity factor. This study suggests that MSD symptom features be examined by using various factors and then a higher differential factor be primarily utilized for controling MSD symptoms in general industry including hospital settings.
