In recent years, numerous studies have been attempted to exploit ontology in the area of ubiquitous computing. Especially, some kinds of ontologies written in OWL are proposed for major issues in ubiquitous computing such like context-awareness. OWL is recommended by W3C as a descriptive language for representing ontology with rich vocabularies. However, developers struggle to design ontology using OWL, because of the complex syntax of OWL. The research for OWL visualization aims to overcome this problem, but most of the existing approaches unfortunately do not provide efficient interface to visualize OWL ontology. Moreover, as the size of ontology grows bigger, each class and relation are difficult to represent on the editing window due to the small size limitation of screen. In this paper, we present OWL visualization scheme that supports class information in detail. This scheme is based on concept of social network, and we implement OWL visualization plug-in on $Prot{\acute{e}}g{\acute{e}}$ that is the most famous ontology editor.
This experiment was conducted to clarify the plant growth promoting effect of compost supplemented with cultured solution of photosynthetic bacteria(Rhodopseudomonas capsulatus) before sowing on the early growth of plug seedling of tomato and to evaluate the optimum concentration of bacterialization. Bacterializing concentrations(v/w) to the compost were 2%, 3.3%, 10%, 20% and 50%, respectively. Plant growth in terms of plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, total fresh and dry weight were promoted by the bacterialization of photosynthetic bacteria. Especially, in the plots supplemented with 10 to 20% the early growth was promoted markedly over 2 times. Compositions of photosynthetic bacteria consisted of crude protein 60.7%, soluble carbohydrates 20.1%, crude fat 7.6%, crude fiber 3.2% and crude ash 4.8, respectively.
This study was performed to analyze the distribution of air current speed, $CO_2$ concentration, and photosynthetic photon flux (PPF) in a closed transplants production system (CTPS) for producing quality transplants. And the effect of PPF on the growth of potato (Solanum tuberosum L. cv. Dejima) plug seedlings was analyzed. Uniformity of the air current speed in CTPS was improved by installing perforated floors in duct for air circulating and by adjusting of air flow rate of the fan connected to air conditioning unit used in this study, Measured $CO_2$ concentrations were measured $409{\pm}13$, $950{\pm}25$, and $1,550{\pm}35\;{\mu}mol{\cdot}mol^{-1}$ for setting values of 400, 950, and $1,550\;{\mu}mol{\cdot}mol^{-1}$, respectively. Uniformity of PPF by adding each one the single fluorescent lamp of 20 W at both ends of the single fluorescent lamps of 40 W was highly improved. While the average PPF measured under the twin fluorescent lamps of 55 W installed at regular intervals of 10 cm was decreased by increasing the vertical distance from the lighting sources, the ratio of average PPF measured at both ends to PPF measured in the center was 74-79%. Five levels ($100{\pm}9$, $150{\pm}14$, $200{\pm}17$, $250{\pm}24$ and $300{\pm}31{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$) of PPF were provided to investigate the effect of PPF on plant height, fresh weight and dry weight of potato plug seedlings produced in CTPS. Plant height was decreased by increasing PPF. Maximum fresh weight and dry weight were shown under PPF of $250{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$. Thus PPF of $250\;{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$ was enough to produce quality potato transplants under air temperature, photoperiod, and relative humidity of $20^{\circ}C$, 16/8 h, and 70%, respectively. It was concluded that quality indices such as plant height, fresh weight and dry weight could be improved by illuminating of adequate PPF from artificial lighting sources.

This study was carried out to investigate the proper wattage and installation distance for the efficient use of nano-carbon fiber infrared heating lamp (NCFIHL), a heating device advantageous for heating energy saving, when the production of watermelon plug seedlings in the plug seedling nursery in winter season. Six small beds were divided into plastic film, and 700 W and 900 W nano-carbon fiber infrared heating lamps were installed at 100 cm above the bed. 1 lamp at central (control), 60 cm interval (2 lamps), and 40 cm interval (3 lamps) heating lamps were installed in each bed inside the greenhouse. All treatments, except the control, were set to keep the night air temperature at 20℃ after lighting the NCFIHL. The leaf temperature showed a tendency to increase fast as the install distance was narrow. The leaf length and leaf width tended to increase as the installation distance of the 700 W heating lamp was narrow. The compactness was high in 700 W heating lamp with 40 cm of installation distance. Therefore, in consideration of maintaining the set temperature at night, installing 700 W electric lamps at 40 cm was an efficient power and installation distance for watermelon grafted seedlings considering economic feasibility.
As OWL(Web Ontology Language) has been selected as a standard ontology description language by W3C, many ontologies have been building and developing in OWL. The lena developed by HP as an Application Programming Interface(API) provides various APIs to develop inference engines as well as storages, and it is widely used for system development. However, the storage model of Jena2 stores most owl documents not acceptable into a single table and it shows low processing performance for a large ontology data set. Most of all, Jena2 storage model does not consider hierarchical structures of classes and properties. In addition, it shows low query processing performance using the hierarchical structure because of many join operations. To solve these issues, this paper proposes an OWL ontology relational database model. The proposed model semantically classifies and stores information such as classes, properties, and instances. It improves the query processing performance by managing hierarchical information in a separate table. This paper also describes the implementation and evaluation results. This paper also shows the experiment and evaluation result and the comparative analysis on both results. The experiment and evaluation show our proposal provides a prominent performance as against Jena2.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to identify physicochemical properties such as chemical composition, size, shape and crystal structure of powder byproducts generated from a metallization process and its 1st scrubber in the semiconductor industry. Methods: Powder samples were collected from inner chambers during maintenance of the W-plug process equipment (using tungsten hexafluoride as a precursor material) and its 1st scrubber. The chemical composition, size and shape of the powder particles were determined by field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) equipped with an energy dispersive spectroscope (EDS). The crystal structure of the powders was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Results: From the SEM-EDS and TEM-EDS analyses, O and W were mainly detected, which indicates the powder byproducts are tungsten trioxide ($WO_3$), whereas Al, F and Ti were detected as low peaks. The powder particles were spherical and nearly spherical, and the particle size collected from the process equipment and its 1st scrubber showed 10-20 nm (agglomerates: 55-90 nm) and 16-20 nm (agglomerates: 80-120 nm) as primary particles, respectively. The XRD patterns of the yellow powder byproducts exhibit five peaks at $23.8^{\circ}$$33.9^{\circ}$$41.74^{\circ}$$48.86^{\circ}$ and $54.78^{\circ}$ which correspond to the (200), (220), (222), (400), and (420) planes of cubic $WO_3$. Conclusions: We elucidated the physicochemical characteristics of the powder byproducts collected from W-plug process equipment and its 1st scrubber. This study should provide useful information for the development of alternative strategies to improve the working environment and workers' health.

This paper presents a design and implementation of 3.3 kW on-board battery charger for electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Considering characteristics of the electric vehicles, a series-loaded resonant dc-dc converter and frequency control scheme are adopted to improve efficiency and reliability, and to reduce volume and cost. The developed on-board battery charger is designed and implemented by using high frequency of 80-130 kHz and zero voltage switching method. The experimental result indicates 92.5% of the maximum efficiency, 5.84 liters in volume, and 5.8kg in weight through optimal hardware design.

In this paper, we present a time-triggered mechanism for providing energy consumption profiles in the level of C functions. The similar mechanisms have already been introduced at the previous researches such as PowerScope and ePRO. Instead, we, in this paper, introduce our efforts to extend these researches to incorporate power domains and DVS(Dynamic Voltage Scaling), then to provide GUI-based tool as a plug-in to ESTO which is an IDE for Embedded S/W development based on Eclipse. From our experimental results, we could conclude that our approach worked and produced consistent energy consumption profiles on the DVS-applied program codes, and also displayed function level and time domain power consumption information with diverse presentation skills such as tables, phi-chart, bar-chart, 2-D graphs, consequently, is expected to provide more ease-to-use and productive IDE for lower power embedded S/W developers.
