범프 로드에서 대형트럭 프레임의 탄성효과를 고려한 컴퓨터 모델 개발 (Development of the Computer Model Considering Flexible Effect of a Large-sized Truck on the Bump Road)

  • This paper develops a computer model for estimating the bump characterisitcs of a cat)over type large-sized truck. The truck is composed of front and rear suspension systems, a frame, a cab, and ten tires. The computer model is developed using MSC.ADAMS. A shock absorber, a rubber bush, and a leaf spring affect a lot on the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. Their stiffness and damping coefficient are measured and used as input data of the computer model. Leaf springs in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing them three links and joining them with joints. To improve the reliability of the developed computer model, the frame is considered as a flexible body. Thus, the frame is modeled by finite elements using MSC.PATRAN. A mode analysis is performed with the frame model using MSC.NASTRAN in order to link the frame model to the computer model. To verify the reliability of the developed computer model, a double wheel bump test is performed with an actual vehicle. In the double wheel bump, vortical displacement, velocity, acceleration are measured. Those test results are compared with the simulation results.

유체의 물성치변화를 고려한 수직원형관내 고온기체유동에 관한 직접수치모사 (Direct Numerical Simulation of Strongly-Heated Internal Gas Flows with Large Variations of Fluid Properties)

  • Direct numerical simulation (DNS) of strongly-heated air flows moving upward in a vertical tube has been conducted to investigate the effect of gas property variations on turbulence modification. Three heating conditions(q$_1$$^{+}$=0.0045, 0.0035 and 0.0018) are selected to reflect the experiment of Shehata and McEligot (1998) at the inlet bulk Reynolds numbers of 4300 and 6000. At these conditions, the flow inside the heated tube remains turbululent or undergoes a transition to subturbulent or laminarizing flow. Consequently, a significant impairment of heat transfer occurs due to the reduction of flow turbulence. The predictions of integral parameters and mean profiles such as velocity and temperature distributions are in excellent agreement with the experiment. The computed turbulence data indicate that a reduction of flow turbulence occurs mainly due to strong flow acceleration effects for strongly-heated internal gas flows. Thus, buoyancy influences are secondary but not negligible especially for turbulent flow at low heating condition. Digital flow visualization also shows that vortical structures rapidly decay as the heating increases.s.

  • The objective of the present study is to develop a new type of the Ballistic range, called 'two-stage light gas gun'. A computational work has been performed to investigate the aerodynamics of a projectile which is launched from the two-stage light gas gun. A moving coordinate method for a multi-domain technique is employed to simulate unsteady projectile flows with a moving boundary. The effect of a virtual mass is added to the axisymmetric unsteady Euler equation systems. The computed results reasonably capture the major flow characteristics which are generated in launching the projectile supersonically, such as the interaction between the shock wave and the blast wave, the interaction between the vortical flow and the barrel shock, and the steady under-expanded jet. The present computational results properly predict the velocity, acceleration, and drag histories of the projectile.

등방성 난류의 헬리스티의 간헐성 (Intermittency of helicity in isotropic turbulence)

  • Helicity in isotropic turbulence was well known to have intermittent fashion in their statistics. But its exact explanation about the onset of intermittency of helicity in turbulence did not give clearly yet. Most probable causes comes from the vortical motion of the fluids. Distribution of the angle between fluid velocity and vorticity have alignment tendency. This may be a clue to investigate intermittency of helicity. In this study, we aim to review and establish approaches to reveal the mechanism and the origin of intermittency of helicity in the isotropic turbulence. To do those work, we look for some quantities like helicity, enstrophy, acceleration and its flatness. And also correlations among them are sought.

  • 2단식 경가스총으로 부터 발사된 발사체의 공기역학적 특성을 연구하기 위해 이동 경계 수치계산법을 축대칭 비정상 압축성 오일러 방정식에 적용하였다. 본 연구로 얻어진 결과는 초음속으로 발사된 발사체로 인한 충격파와 폭발파사이 간섭현상, 와류와 barrel 충격파사이의 간섭현상, 정상 부족팽창 제트을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 발사체 질량 변화에 따른 발사체의 속도, 가속도, 항력 선도를 예측하였다.

사장교의 구조식별을 위한 가진실험 데이터분석 (FVT Signal Processing for Structural Identification of Cable-stayed Bridge)

  • In this research, Forced Vibration Test(FVT) on a cable stayed bridge was conducted to examine the validity of the frequency domain pattern recognition method using signal anomaly index and artificial neuralnetwork. 7he considering structure, Samchunpo Bridge, located in Sachun-Shi, Kyungsangnam-Do, is a cable stayed bridge with the 436 meter span. The excitation force was induced by a sudden braking of a fully loaded truck. and vortical acceleration signals were acquired at 14 points. The initial 2-dimensional FE-model was developed from the design documents to prepare the training sets for the artificial neural network, and then the model calibration was performed with the field test data. As a result of the model calibration, we obtained the FFT spectrums from the model simulation, which was similar to those from the vibration test. These tests and the simulation data will be used for the structural identification using arbitrarily added masses to the bridge.
