자동차 와이퍼 소켓 부품 제작용 오버몰딩 금형의 냉각 시스템 설계 (Design of Cooling System of Over-molding Mold for Socket Component of Automobile Wiper)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 수치해석을 통한 자동차 와이퍼 소켓 부품 제작용 오버몰딩 금형의 냉각 시스템 설계이다. 초기 금형설계에 대한 수치해석을 수행하여 제품내 높은 온도 분포를 나타내는 열집중 영역을 도출하였다. 열집중 영역의 냉각특성 개선을 위하여 직선형 냉각수로와 체적 열 흡수부의 2 가지 냉각시스템을 고려하였다. 직선형 냉각수로의 설계를 도출하기 위하여 냉각수로의 직경과 위치가 냉각 특성과 제품 품질에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 또한 체적 열 흡수부 설계가 제품 냉각 특성과 변형에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 최종적으로 체적 열 흡수부가 추가된 다중 슬라이스 오버몰딩 금형이 냉각 특성과 제품품질을 동시에 향상시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

홴 후방 유동장을 고려한 홴싱크 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of a Fan-Sink Considering the Flow Fields Behind the Fan Outlet)

  • A numerical and experimental study on the flow fields behind the fan outlet was carried out to improve the performance of a conventional fan-sink(fan and heat sink). Conventional fan-sinks have a heat sink of which fin configurations tend to increase the flow resistance, thus decreasing the performance and the cooling capabilities of a fan-sink. Lifting surface method is used for the prediction of flow fields behind the fan outlet. Oil-dot flow visualization technique is applied for the validation of numerical results. The numerical results and experimental data show agreement each other. A conventional heat sink is modified and redesigned using flow patterns behind the fan outlet. The newly designed heat sink has the configuration of curved fins which minimize flow resistance. It showed improvements in both cooling: capabilities and volumetric flow rate compared to the conventional one.

Integral effect test for steam line break with coupling reactor coolant system and containment using ATLAS-CUBE facility

  • To improve safety analysis technology for a nuclear reactor containment considering an interaction between a reactor coolant system (RCS) and containment, this study aims at an experimental investigation on the integrated simulation of the RCS and containment, with an integral effect test facility, ATLAS-CUBE. For a realistic simulation of a pressure and temperature (P/T) transient, the containment simulation vessel was designed to preserve a volumetric scale equivalently to the RCS volume scale of ATLAS. Three test cases for a steam line break (SLB) transient were conducted with variation of the initial condition of the passive heat sink or the steam flow direction. The test results indicated a stratified behavior of the steam-gas mixture in the containment following a high-temperature steam injection in prior to the spray injection. The test case with a reduced heat transfer on the passive heat sink showed a faster increase of the P/T inside the containment. The effect of the steam flow direction was also investigated with respect to a multi-dimensional distribution of the local heat transfer on the passive heat sink. The integral effect test data obtained in this study will contribute to validating the evaluation methodology for mass and energy (M/E) and P/T transient of the containment.

저전력 가정용 식품건조기 개발에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Development of Food Drying Machine for Home Use Using Low Electricity)

  • This study has been analyzed and investigated the possibility for the substitution of a heat source with the application of PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient Heater) in a food drying machine. And this experiment was conducted to measure temperatures at the upper part of the vessel and the heat sink. And the structure has the many holes plane connected with the external air in the upper part of similar volumetric vessel, and attached to the PTC heater (3sets) of total consumption electricity of 120[W] in Al radiant heat structure and the small fan (2sets) in the suitable space of the lower part. Consequently, it was found that at the most conditions of food drying test with the seven holes(5mm) under the control temperature $62^{\circ}C$, the optimum drying condition formatted and the optimum time range especially appeared from 6,500 second to 7,000 second in case of drying test on banana sample.
