  • A voice recognition technology as a technology fundament plays an important role in medical devices with smart functions. This paper describes the implementation of a control system that can be utilized as a part of illumination equipment for medical applications (IEMA) based on a voice recognition. The control system can essentially be divided into five parts, the microphone, training part, recognition part, memory part, and control part. The system was implemented using the RSC-4x evaluation board which is included the micro-controller for voice recognition. To investigate the usefulness of the implemented control system, the experiments of the recognition rate was carried out according to the input distance for voice recognition. As a result, the recognition rate of the control system was more than 95% within a distance between 0.5 and 2m. The result verified that the implemented control system performs well as the smart control system based for an IEMA.

  • In this paper, we suggested a method about the improvement of the voice recognition rate and carried out a study on it. In general, voices were detected by applying the most widely-used method, HMM (Hidden Markov Model) algorithm. Regarding the method of detecting voices, the zero crossing ratio was calculated based on the units of voices before the existence of data was identified. Regarding the method of recognizing voices, the patterns shown by the forms of voices were analyzed before they were compared to the patterns which had already been learned. According to the results of the experiment, in comparison with the recognition rate of 80% shown by the existing HMM algorithm, the suggested algorithm based on the recognition of the patterns shown by the forms of voices showed the recognition rate of 92%, reflecting the recognition rate improved by about 12% compared to the existing one.

  • This paper describes development of small scale voice dialing system using TMS320C30. Recognition vocabuliary is used 50 department name within university. In vocabulary below the middle scale, word unit recognition is more practice than phoneme unit or syllable unit recognition. In this paper, we performend recognition and model generation using DMS(Dynamic Multi-Section) and implemeted voice dialing system using TMS320C30. As a result of recognition, we achieved a 98% recognition rate in condition of section 22 and weight 0.6 and recognition time took 4 seconds.

  • High reliability of automatic speaker recognition regardless of voice conditions is necessary for forensic application. Audio recordings in real cases are not consistent in voice conditions, such as duration, time interval of recording, given text or conversational speech, transmission channel, etc. In this study the variation of verification error rate of ASR system with the voice conditions was investigated. As a result in order to decrease both false rejection rate and false acception rate, the various voices should be used for training and the duration of train voices should be longer than the test voices.

  • The teach pendant and keyboard have been used as an input device of control command in human-robot sustem. But, many problems occur in case that the usef is a novice. So, speech recognition system is required to communicate between a human and the robot. In this study, Korean voice commands, eitht robot commands, and ten digits based on the broad phonetic analysis are described. Applying broad phonetic analysis, phonemes of voice commands are divided into phoneme groups, such as plosive, fricative, affricative, nasal, and glide sound, having similar features. And then, the feature parameters and their ranges to detect phoneme groups are found by minimax method. Classification rules are consisted of combination of the feature parameters, such as zero corssing rate(ZCR), log engery(LE), up and down(UD), formant frequency, and their ranges. Voice commands were recognized by the classification rules. The recognition rate was over 90 percent in this experiment. Also, this experiment showed that the recognition rate about digits was better than that about robot commands.

  • The voice recognition has been made continuously. Now, this technology could support even natural language beyond recognition of isolated words. Interests for the voice recognition was boosting after the Siri, I-phone based voice recognition software, was presented in 2010. There are some occasions implemented voice enabled services using Korean voice recognition softwares, but their accuracy isn't accurate enough, because of background noise and lack of control on voice related features. In this paper, we propose a sort of multi-purpose preprocessor to improve this situation. This supports Keyword spotting in the continuous speech in addition to noise filtering function. This should be independent of any voice recognition software and it can extend its functionality to support continuous speech by additionally identifying the pre-predicate and the post-predicate in relative to the spotted keyword. We get validation about noise filter effectiveness, keyword recognition rate, continuous speech recognition rate by experiments.

  • When the input sound is mixed voice and sound, it can be seen that the voice recognition rate is lowered due to the noise, and the speech recognition rate is improved by improving the MEMS device which is the H / W device in order to overcome the S/W processing limit. The MEMS microphone device is a device for inputting voice and is implemented in various shapes and used. Conventional MEMS microphones generally exhibit excellent performance, but in a special environment such as noise, there is a problem that the processing performance is deteriorated due to a mixture of voice and sound. To overcome these problems, we developed a newly designed MEMS device that can detect the voice characteristics of the initial input device.

  • The new method of feature extraction is proposed, considering the statistic feature of human voice, unlike the conventional methods of voice extraction. PCA(principal Component Analysis) is applied to this new method. PCA removes the repeating of data after finding the axis direction which has the greatest variance in input dimension. Then the new method is applied to real voice recognition to assess performance. When results of the number recognition in this paper and the conventional Mel-Cepstrum of voice feature parameter are compared, there is 0.5% difference of recognition rate. Better recognition rate is expected than word or sentence recognition in that less convergence time than the conventional method in extracting voice feature. Also, better recognition tate is expected when the optimum vector is used by statistic feature of data.

  • Voice recognition systems which use a white noise and voice recognition environment are not correct voice recognition with variable voice mixture. Therefore in this paper, we propose a method using the convergence of Bayesian technique and selecting voice for effective voice recognition. we make use of bank frequency response coefficient for selective voice extraction, Using variables observed for the combination of all the possible two observations for this purpose, and has an voice signal noise information to the speech characteristic extraction selectively is obtained by the energy ratio on the output. It provide a noise elimination and recognition rates are improved with combine voice recognition of bayesian methode. The result which we confirmed that the recognition rate of 2.3% is higher than HMM and CHMM methods in vocabulary recognition, respectively.

  • In realization of wireless home network system using speech recognition in indoor voice recognition environment, background noise and reverberation are two main causes of digression in voice recognition system. In this study, the home network system resistant to reverberation and background noise using voice section detection method based on spectral entropy in indoor recognition environment is to be realized. Spectral subtraction can reduce the effect of reverberation and remove noise independent from voice signal by eliminating signal distorted by reverberation in spectrum. For effective spectral subtraction, the correct separation of voice section and silent section should be accompanied and for this, improvement of performance needs to be done, applying to voice section detection method based on entropy. In this study, experimental and indoor environment testing is carried out to figure out command recognition rate in indoor recognition environment. The test result shows that command recognition rate improved in static environment and reverberant room condition, using voice section detection method based on spectral entropy.
