Objectives: The aim of the present study was to widen a clinical use by investigating literatures about the acupoint of Pu-ryu(KI7) and Um-gok(KI10) concerning Kidney-Eum(vital essence of the kidney) and Kidney-Yang(vital function of the kidney). Methods: We investigated the first literature about $Pu-ryu(KI7)\;{\cdot}\;Um-gok(KI10)$ and a second name, a location and a characteristic of them. We made a comparative study about the chief virtue and combination of $Pu-ryu(KI7)\;{\cdot}\;Um-gok(KI10)$. Results: Pu-ryu(KI7) is the 7th acupoint of Kidney Meridian of Foot Soeum(少陰), which reinforces a meridian of belonging and has the efficacy of warming the Kidney Yang, clearing heat, excreting dump and regulating water passage. Um-gok(KI10) is the 10th acupoint of Kidney Meridian of Foot Soeum(少陰), which has the virtue of nurishing the Liver and Kidney Eum, promoting lower heater and marinating the free flow of Gi Conclusions: The chief virtue of Pu-ryu(KI7) is to remove edema due to disturbance in Gi activity by dificiency of Kidney-Yang because of warming Yang to induce diuresis. To Um-gok(KI10), it is to treat instability of Kidney-Gi by Eum dificiency of the Liver and Kidney because of nurishing the Liver and Kidney Eum.

Yookmijihwangtang has been widely used oriental herb prescriptions, which is healing some discuss that come from insufficiency of innate essence and deficiency of kidney Ki. The meaning of healing discusses tonification of insufficient innate essence and insufficient kidney Ki can be regarded as reinforcement of wholely power of keeping homeostasis, that is correlated with immuno-responsibility which protects subject from outer antigen to keep normal vital condition. This study was aimed to investigate correlative effects of Yookmijihwangtang water abstract on the RBC, WBC, blood CD4+ T helper cell count, blood testosterone, blood cAMP and blood cortisol. 40 Sprague-Dawley male rats were divided into 5 groups(Normal, Control, Sample I, Sample II, Sample III), 6 animals in every group. Normal group was not treated anything, control group was administrated normal saline in the same dosage of Sample I. 3 Sample groups were received some of Yookmijihwangtang water abstract at one time per 24 hours during 5 days in different dosage. Sample I(1/310pack/ml), Sample II(1/62pack/ml), Sample III(1/2.4pack/ml). After finishing treatment, all experimental subjects were killed for blood sample on RBC, WBC, blood CD4+ T helper cell count, spleen CD4+ T helper cell count, axillary lymph node CD4+ T helper cell count. blood cAMP, blood testosterone and blood cortisol. The results were as follows; RBC and WBC were increased in all sample groups. Blood CD4+ T helper cell count(CD4+ T cell count in the blood/whole lymphocyte count in the blood ${\times}100%$) was Normal $46.17{\pm}5.88$, Control $44.50{\pm}4.37$, Sample I $53.00{\pm}2.28$, Sample II $53.83{\pm}3.87$, Sample III $52.17{\pm}2.93$. By the 95% Duncan ANOVA all experimental groups(sample I, Sample II, Sample III) showed slight significant difference from Normal and Control. Blood cAMP(nmol/l) were Normal $1.12{\pm}0.17$, Control $1.16{\pm}0.32$, Sample I $0.46{\pm}0.07$, Sample II $0.44{\pm}0.04$, Sample III $0.54{\pm}0.04$. All experimental groups were singificantly different from both Normal and Control groups(p<0.05). Blood cortisol(nl/ml) were Normal $100.00{\pm}2.00$ Control $90.00{\pm}4.00$, Sample I $440.00{\pm}5.00$, Sample II $520.00{\pm}40.00$, Sample III $470.00{\pm}7.00$. Blood cortisol of all experimental groups were significantly increased(p<0.05). The results suggest that Yookmijihwangtang water abstract could be administrated to patients who have some diseases insufficient essence.

The aim of this article is to argue that rhythm of janggu may have meaningful effects as a form of vitality for the elderly. Janggu is the most popular and soft pitched instrument in the percussion family in Korean music. It is warm and soft makes very deep and exquisite sounds. Janggu is a source of Korean national pride because of unique, manifestation of yin-yang five-elements represented in Korean music. The meaning and influence of rhythm in human is in essence and natural. This style paper is a course of happy life and a basic step toward in the world. Music therapy has been employed as a therapeutic intervention to facilitate healing across a many of clinical populations. A cheerful rhythm of janggu promotes the vitality of the elderly. This joining has contributed to the vitality, health improvement and the whole body for the elderly. Instead of visiting hospital, they sit in front of the janggu what could be better than a daily dose of exercise. Therefore, the author thinks this might help them forget their anxieties, this very moment, janggu music rhythm therapy lays the foundation of a more vital lifestyle.

According to the oriental medicine study on G.B.S, we obtained the result as follows : 1. G.B.S was inclined in flacid paralysis and pain and numbness(痺) in oriental medicine. 2. Etiology factors of G.B.S was classified exogenous and endogenous pathogenic factors. The formers was warmth and heat(濕熱), summer heat and dampness(暑濕), dampness and heat(濕熱), and cool and dampness(寒濕), the latter was the deficiency in both the spleen and the stomach(脾胃虛弱), deficiency of Yin(vital essence) in both the liver and kidney(肝腎陰虛) the factor of dampness and heat(濕熱) was most numerous. 3. Pathological mechanism of G.B.S was close connected with the five viscera - the spleen(脾), the stomach(胃), the liver(肝), the kidney(腎), the lung(肺) 4. Differentiation of Symptom-Complexes(辨症) in the G.B.S was consumption type of nutrient fluid due to heat symptom in the lung(肺熱傷津), fullness type of dampness and heat(濕熱侵淫), defiency type in both the spleen and the kidney(脾腎不足), deficiency type in both the spleen and the stomach(脾胃虛弱), deficiency type in the liver and the kidney(肝腎兩虛) 5. Acupuncture treatment for G.B.S was mainly Yangmoung channels of both the hand and the foot.(手足陽明經)

The purpose of this study is to introduce heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] as one of the 17 kinds of oriental medicine music therapy. The heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] can be applied to certain types of syndromes. The representative syndromes are flaring-up of the heart Fire[心火], rising of the liver Yang[肝陽], and fidgetiness due to deficiency of Eum(陰, Yin). Metal-Gi[金氣] music and Water-Gi[水氣] music are mainly used in heat-clearing music therapy, The patients with the case of flaring-up of the heart Fire[心火] may listen to Metal-Gi[金氣] music. For the patient with rising of the liver Yang[肝陽], relieving constraint music therapy can be used. In other cases with patients with fidgetiness due to deficiency of Eum, replenishing vital essence music therapy can be used. This study describes the theory of heat-clearing music therapy[淸熱音樂療法] that has a good possibility as a new method of oriental medical treatment.

Nowadays Asthma is considered to be an inflamatory disease characterized by airway hyperresponsiveness and pulmonary eosinophilia. Hominis Placenta is the dried placenta of a healthy women. It has correspondence to the meridians of lung and kindey. Hominis Placenta acupuncture therapy has effect on invigoration of vital energy nourishing blood and tonifying the essence. It can be applied to the disease as Asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, degenerative change and cerebrovascular disease. We treated two patients of Asthma with CVA by Homins Placenta Aqua-Acupuncture. The effect of Homins Placenta Aqua-Acupuncture was assessed by analyzing the pulmonary function test(PFT) and Quality of Life Questionnaire for adult Korean Asthmatics(QLQAKA) in patients before and after treatment. Total score was increased. The patients are satisfied our treatment. But further research concerning this is still necessary.

This study was written in order to help understanding of listening diagnosis to vocal sound and speech. The purpose of listening diagnosis is that we know states of essence(精), Qi(氣) and spirit(神). Vocal sound and speech are made by Qi and spirit. Vocal sound originates from the center of the abdominal region(丹田) and comes out through vocal organs, for example lung, larynx, nose, tongue, tooth, lip and so on. Speech is expressed by vocal sound and spirit. They are controled by the Five Vital organs(五臟). Various changes of vocal sound and speech observe the rules of yinyang. For example, if we consider patient likes to say or not, we can diagnose heat and coldness of illness. If we consider he speaks loudly or quietly, we can diagnose weak and severe of illness. If we consider he speaks clearly or thick, we can diagnose inside and outside of illness. If we consider he speaks damp or dry, we can diagnose yin and yang of illness. If we consider change of voice, we can diagnose new and old illness. Symptoms of changes of five voices, five sounds, dumbness and huskiness are due to abnormal vocal sound, and symptoms of changes of mad talk, mumble, sleep talking and so on are due to abnormal speech.

This paper aims at the comparative study of practicing Buddhism and Taoism related to "life gate". The term "life gate", as a physiological entity of disputed morphological identity, first appears in The Inner Canon where it refers to the eyes. Reference to a "life gate" as an internal organ body first appears in The Classic of Difficult Issues which states, "The two kidneys are not both kidneys' The left one is the kidney, and the right is the life gate." Successive scholars refers to life gate as a gi point of Taoists.. The question of the life gate invited little discussion until the Myeong and Cheong Dynasty, when various different theories were put forward. Especially Jin Sa-taek says "life gate" is the governor of the twelve place in the human body, throwing light on the meaning of it. Not that life gate denotes a local point, it does a system of life gate. Generally speaking, life gate designates cinnabar field. I think that the human body produces essence by way of life gate. That is, the human body is unified by the system of life gate. Life gate is not only the source of infusing the engine of the human body with vital energy but also as well as gi-point.

Objectives: The basic cause of developmental disability is congenital weakness, which is a disorder of the kidney according to the Oriental medicine definition. I suggest the oriental medicine music therapy, which can improve congenital weakness and recover the kidney dysfunction. Methods: This study focused autism and Asperger syndrome in terms of Oriental medicine, and also considered view points from the Western medicine. Conclusions 1. The kidney monitors vital elements which were produced from the bone marrow. Therefore, the growth and the development of a skeletal structure are related to the strength and weakness of kidney, which is measured in Qi score. 2. In a case of the deficiency of kidney, an essence due to congenital defect, it shows the symptoms of the developmental disability such as sluggish reaction and physical movements, falling of memory, hearing, and eyesight. 3. For the kidney disorder, "Eum music therapy", one of the oriental medicine music therapies, can promote development of the kidney and kidney-Qi score for the children with developmental disability.

Hominis Placenta acupuncture therapy has effect on invigoration of vital energy nourishing blood and tonifying the essence. It can be applied to the disease as Asthma, pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, degenerative change and cerebrovascular disease. We treated two cases coughing and sputum sign Sequela of Pneumonia by Hominis Placenta Aqua-Acupuncture. The symptoms was improved and the patients satisfied.
