제주시 해안일주도로의 경관보전을 위한 건축물의 입면차폐도 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of the Elevation Blockage Ratio in the Conservation of the Coastal Landscape of Jeju)

  • Although the coastal area of Jeju has already been developed, it has high pressure and demands for development continually increasing due to the increase of tourism and leisure activities. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to present objective guidance for the planning of the buildings on the seaside road with a view which have the largest impact on coastal landscape in order to enhance its visual quality. The results of this study are as follows : 1) It is chief element to make guidance for the use and planning of buildings in the conservation of the coastal landscape. 2) The D/H ratios which immediately influence an angle of elevation are different one another for the whole street. To ensure a sense of openness for the landscape, it is needed to maintain under $27^{\circ}$ angle of elevation, which demands 1~3 D/H ratio. 3) It is important to make 2.4 visual blockage ratio for whole street, but the actual condition is 4.48 ratio on average. To bring down the visual blockage ratio, the W/D ratio needs to be regulated. 4) Various techniques are also needed for lively building styles going with coastal landscape.

암순응 환경에서 조도수준과 표적크기가 탐지시간에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Illumination and Target Size on Time-To-Detect while Recovering Dark Adaptation)

  • Effects of dark adaptation have large safety implications. This study was aimed to investigate the effects of varying illuminance and the size of critical detail on visual performance (i.e., time-to-detect) in a dark room environment. While adapting to the dark environment, ten subjects were asked to detect and answer simple numerical expressions under 9 experimental conditions (3 illuminance level $\times$ 3 target size). The ANOVA results revealed that the time-to-detect was significantly affected by both of the illumination level and the size of critical detail. As illumination increased from 10 lux to 20 lux, the time-to-detect was significantly declined. For the size of critical detail, 0.5/min size (i.e., equal to 2 minutes of visual angle) resulted in a shorter time-to-detect, as compared to 0.7/min size (i.e., equal to 1.6 minutes of visual angle). Potential applications of this research include the development of design guidelines for illumination and warning signs in poorly illuminated viewing environments.

과고감과 표고측정정밀도와의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Correlation beween Visual Excess and Height Measuring Precision)

  • 본 논문은 실체시 측정에 있어서 발생하는 과고감과 표고측정의 정밀도와의 상관관계를 실험에 의하여 구명하고자 한 것이다. 일반적으로 과고감이 크면 클수록 표고측정의 정밀도가 높아진다는 사실이 알려져 있을뿐, 정확한 구명이 되어 있지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 과고감에 대한 이론을 재정립하고 이것을 실험에 의하여 구명하고저 하였다. 실험결과에 의하여 과고감과 표고측정의 정밀도는 직접 비예관계가 성립하고 과고감이 클수록 표고측정의 정밀도가 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

틸팅 차량용 시뮬레이터 적용을 위한 통제 및 가상현실 영상 시스템 개발 (Development of a Control and Virtual Realty Visual System for the Tilting Train Simulator)

  • This paper presents a development of the control and the virtual reality visual system for a tilting train simulator. The user of the tilting train simulator is able to set up the environmental and operating conditions through the user interface provided by the control system. In the control system, an arbitrary track which has user-defined curve radius, length and direction can be generated. The virtual reality visual system provides an artificial environment that is composed of several facilities such as station, platform, track, bridge, tunnel and signaling system. In order to maximize the reality, all of the 3D modeling were based on the real photographs taken in the Jungang line. A dome screen with 1600mm diameter was used to maximize the view angle. The hemispherical screen can ensure the view angle of the 170 degrees of vertical direction and 135 degrees of lateral direction.

주거용 건물에서의 투영법에 의한 조망의 정량적 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Analysis of View by the Projection Method in the Residential Buildings)

  • The quantitative analysis of view tells how surroundings and sky are showed, and requires understanding of visual perception and three dimensional information of buildings. The visual perception and the existing projection methods for view analysis are examined. The results of this study are as follows: The visual perception on the size is determined by the visual angle, which can be described as a solid angle. The analysis of view by planar projection can be narrow-sighted according to the size of the window and the location of the viewpoint, which will cause the obstacles in the normal direction of the window interfere the view. For the analysis of view by fisheye projection, the area around the focus point is calculated wider than other areas, and so the view ratio depends on the position of the focus point. When analyzing sky view by dividing the sky vault into the differential area, the distortion by projection can be minimized.

광각 이미지에 대한 시각적 기억의 왜곡 (Distortion in Visual Memory for Wide-angle Image)

  • Viewers remember seeing more of the scene than was present in the physical input: an illusion known as boundary extension. This study examined the aspects of the distortion by presenting 69 subjects with wide-angle views of four scenes. Results of recognition and reproduction test showed that the boundary extension is not a unidirectional phenomenon. On the contrary, boundary restriction and foreground extension were observed with extreme wide-angle views of scenes. Results support the hypothesis that boundary restriction and foreground extension were mediated by the activation of a memory schema during picture perception.

  • This article will compare the following visual categories: visual angle, distinguishable details, sensitivity, and dynamic range. These categories are often considered within the subject of the maximum deviation from the camera eye, an issue which has generated much controversy. Other characteristics such as depth of field, three-dimensional vision, white balance and color, are not considered in this article.

VDT 화면에서 한글의 글자크기와 서체에 따른 탐색속도와 오류율에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on search speed and error rate according to Korean letter size and font on search task with VDT)

  • The research on the factors which effect on legibility is mainly utilized as the basic data of selecting the standard guideline of VDT screen. But the research on Korean is scarcer than that of English. Furthermore, it is unreasonable to apply the results of the foreign language to Korean, beause of the difference between the typography of English and that of Korean. Therefore, more systematic and ergonomic research of the Korean typography on VDT screen is needed. In this paper, an experimental study on search speed and error rate is designed and performed according to different Korean letter size and font on search task with VDT. The experimental screen based on popular Ming and Gothic style is made up of total 12 artificial screens, each 6 different font size. As the criteria of the performance, searching speed(s.s.) and error rate (e) are selected, and CFF value is measured to evaluate user's visual fatigue. The results of experiment in font show that the Korean Gothic style is superior to the Korean Ming style in user's visual performance. The letter size that gives user the optimal performance ranges from the visual angle 39.8' to 55.5' in Ming style, from the visual angle 39.8' to 52.6' in Gothic systle. In visual fatigue experiment, the better performance of letter size is, the less tired user feels. And the smaller letter size is, the more tired user feels. There is no relationship between font and user's visual fatigue.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 4주 동안의 시각 바이오피드백 훈련이 무릎관절 각도와 하지 근활성도에 미치는 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 15명의 과도한 무릎 젖힘을 가진 자원자가 본 연구에 참가하였다. 과도한 무릎 젖힘을 향상시키기 위해 4주 동안의 시각 바이오피드백 훈련을 사용하였다. 이 훈련은 발바닥의 앞 체중부하와 뒤 체중부하 사이의 균형을 유지하는 운동이다. 시각 바이오피드백 훈련 후, 무릎 관절 각도는 유의하게 증가하였으며, 앞정강근의 근전도는 유의하게 감소하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 발바닥 압력 분산의 정보를 이용한 시각 바이오피드백 훈련은 과도한 무릎 젖힘에 대하여 치료효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

인공지를 갖춘 정자에 있어서 조망각도와 선호요인에 관하여 (On the Prospect Angle and Preference factors in Jungja which has Artificially Constructed Pond.)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the principle of space composition in Jungja of a category of korean traditional space. The results which analyzed outside space, prospect angle and preference factors for landscape with making, Jungja which has artificially constructed pond within Gyeongbug province, the subject of study were as fellows ; Size of pond was quite different in each Jungja, and its form was retangular. There was built circle island or figured ten-long life within pond. These pursued harmony of the cosmic dual force or eternal youth. Average angle of depression and horizontal angle from floor of Jungja to pond were respectively 16$^{\circ}$ 23', 48$^{\circ}$ 26'. Average angle of depression to island in pond was 13$^{\circ}$28'. Average angle of depression from floor of Jungia to wall was 2$^{\circ}$58'. With controlling height of wall, there was maintained privacy and used borrowed landscape. Tree within garden was mainly planted a deciduous tall tree, the important species of tree were bamboo, pomegranate tree, crape myrtle, etc. Variables that gave influence on landscape preference degree were things about tree and pond. On prospecting pond, these variables-feeling for shore protection, impression for water, visual depth to pond feeling for shore protection, impression for water, visual depth to pond-gave Largely influences.
