The Determinants of Mongolian Tourists' Purchase Intention: Moderating Effect of Involvement and Site Image

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between product characteristics, product preference and purchase intention for Mongolian tourists visiting Korea, and in particular, to analyze the moderating effect of product involvement and tourist image in the relationship between product characteristics and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: A research model was derived through existing literature research and a survey was conducted on Mongolian tourists visiting Korea. SPSS and AMOS24.0 were used for data analysis and hypothesis testing. Results: The tourism product characteristics affect the product preference and purchase intention. Tourist image and involvement have moderating effects between product preference and purchased intention. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that product characteristics at travel destinations is a key factor in order to enhance the product preference and purchase intention for foreigners visiting Korea. On the other hand, since the purchase intention of the tourism destination vary depending on tourist image and involvement, it suggests that travel industry practitioners or researchers should try to various efforts to enhance the factors which affect the involvement or the tourists or image of the tourist site.

  • foreigners preferred wholesome and fresh food and made much of. However the satisfaction didn't live up to the expectation. Second, there was no difference in both gender and age. It showed that in the gradually developing international dining-out industry, regardless of gender or age, the taste of food depended on the individual preference. Third, there was some difference in the preference factors according to intent of visiting Korea. The preference of people recommending some manu to someone when he or she visits Korea influenced the visiting person's preference about the Korean food manu. Forth, there was some difference in both individual importance in choosing the manu and satisfaction after experiencing the manu. It is the very challenge to be dealt with when the Korean traditional food tries to accomplish globalization. As a result, to accomplish globalization of not only the hotel Korean food manu but also the Korean traditional food needs to rapidly improve wholesomeness and freshness of the food, which the foreigners consider the most important but complain about. The fact was well shown in the test of the manu preference. When the Korean traditional food goes ahead in the world, it is desirable to sustain and develop the existing manu of Korean food. However, to inform the world of excellency of the Korean traditional food should be a constant study or develop a new manu.

A Social Search Scheme Considering User Preferences and Popularities in Mobile Environments

  • As various pieces of information can be provided through the web, schemes that provide search results optimized for individual users are required in consideration of user preference. Since the existing social search schemes use users' profiles, the accuracy of the search deteriorates. They also decrease the reliability of a search result because they do not consider a search time. Therefore, a new social search scheme that considers temporal information as well as popularities and user preferences is required. In this paper, we propose a new mobile social search scheme considering popularities and user preferences based on temporal information. Popularity is calculated by collecting the visiting records of users, while user preference is generated by the actual visiting information among the search results. In order to extract meaningful information from the search target objects that have multiple attributes, a skyline processing method is used, and rank is given to the search results by combining the user preference and the popularity with the skyline processing result. To show the superiority of the proposed scheme, we conduct performance evaluations of the existing scheme and the proposed scheme.

A Study on Preference and Behavior of Forest Path Users

  • This study was conducted to grasp users' preferences and behavior of forest paths and to provide basic data for forest path construction in the future. Among forest path users, males and females over 20 years old were surveyed on forest path preferences, motives for visiting, using time and distance, companions, and sources for obtaining information on forest paths. A total of 587 people participated in the questionnaire, and cross-analysis was conducted simultaneously using the SPSS statistical program. In analyzing the preference of forest paths, it was found that male and the general public preferred trekking path for activities while female and foresters preferred forest path for relaxation and healing (p<0.05). As for the motives for visiting forest paths, the response that they visited for a walk/rest was the highest in gender, occupation, and age group. As for the number of annual visits, less than 5 was the highest in overall, and foresters tended to visit forest path more often than the general public, and the number of visits to the forest paths increased with age (p<0.01). The most common route to acquire information about forest paths is the Internet, while the Internet use is relatively low in those over 60s (p<0.05). The response ratio of accompanying their family in visiting forest paths were the highest, while the response in their 20s and 60s was the most in accompanying their friends (p<0.05).

미혼 여성의 산부인과 방문 경험 개선 연구 - 서비스 디자인 방법론을 활용하여 (A Study on Improving Experience of Visiting Obstetrics and Gynecology of Single Women - Using Service Design Methodology)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the experience of visiting obstetrics and gynecology of single women. After analyzing previous studies on Korean single women's perception of visiting obstetrics and gynecology, Contextual Interviews and Cultural Probes were conducted on single women in their 20s who visited obstetrics and gynecology. Based on this, personas were constructed to solidify the direction of problem solving by identifying the behavioral patterns and characteristics of single women. In this study, factors that hinder unmarried women's visits to obstetrics and gynecology and improvement measures were derived based on the information obtained using service design tools such as User Journey Mapping and Stakeholders' Map. Afterwards, a preference survey was conducted to increase the persuasiveness of the proposed method. The follow-up research task is to produce and propose the derived solution as a prototype that can be used in the actual field, and then proceed with user evaluation.

친숙도가 선호도, 위험지각, 관광활동에 미치는 영향 (Impacts of Familiarity on Preference, Perceived Risks, and Tourist Activities)

  • 연구는 중국을 방문하는 한국인 관광객들의 중국에 대한 친숙도가 관광지로서 중국에 대한 선호도, 위험지각, 중국 방문시 선호하는 관광활동에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 연구과제들을 검증하기 위해 중국으로 여행을 떠나기 전 인천국제공항에서 대기하고 있던 한국인 관광객들을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 설문조사 결과 총305개의 유효한 설문지가 최종적으로 수집되었다. 분석 결과에 따르면, 중국에 대한 친숙도는 관광지로서 중국에 대한 선호도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 친숙도는 중국에 대한 일부 위험지각영역과 부정적인 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 친숙도는 중국 방문시 선호하는 관광활동 중 역사 자연지역 방문과 영향관계에 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 본 연구의 결과는 친숙도가 관광객들의 다른 지각변수들을 이해하기 위한 중요요인이라는 점을 입증하고 있다.

Influence of Brand Trust, Perceived Value on Brand Preference and Purchase Intention

  • The aim of this research was to empirical examine the influence of brand trust, perceived value on brand preference, and purchase intention for branded phones. The samples were gathered by a convenient sampling method. We collected data from 285 consumers who were visiting electronic supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The measurement used a 5-point Likert scale ranging from 1=completely disagree, and 5=completely agree. PLS - Partial Least Squares method was performed to analyze the measurement model and the structural model. The study model was proposed from prior research. We had assessed the reliability of the scales through Cronbach's alpha and composite reliability. As well, we also had evaluated discriminant validity through the Fornell-Larcker criterion. The findings of the study demonstrated that brand trust had a significantly positive influence on brand preference. Likewise, the findings of the research also stated that brand trust had a positive impact on purchase intention. The results revealed that perceived value had a positive effect on brand preference. Furthermore, the outcomes show that perceived value had a positive influence on purchase intention as well. Furthermore, the findings of the research showed that brand preference had a positive effect on purchase intention.

A Study on the Customers' Eating Out Behaviors in Food Consumption Patterns

  • This study aims to empirically analyze the differences between groups of customers who prefer delivery food, which is rapidly growing amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and those who prefer the traditional practice of visiting offline restaurants. Based on the eating out lifestyle, participants were divided into three groups: participants who prefer food delivery, those who prefer to visit restaurants, and those who favor both. The comparison of differences between the groups was analyzed. A total of 215 questionnaires were distributed, and reliability and validity were verified with a sample of 201 copies, excluding 14 unreliable respondents. Then, a multivariate analysis of variance was used to compare the groups. The results showed that regarding offline restaurants, the group of customers who prefer to visit restaurants valued their atmosphere, while the customers who prefer delivery food valued the reputation of the restaurant. Regarding delivery-specialized restaurants, the group of customers who prefer delivery placed greater value on coupon events and payment convenience than other groups. The results revealed that the difference between the customers who prefer to visit restaurants and those who prefer delivery food was identified through empirical analysis, which provides strategic implications for catering companies and restaurant industries during COVID-19 in Korea.

양.한방협진에 대한 지역주민의 인식 - 일부 보건소 이용자를 중심으로 - (Perceptions of Residents Visiting Local Health Centers on the Collaborating Care of Korean Traditional Medicine and Western Medicines)

  • Objective : The purpose of this research was to provide basic data for developing the collaborating care of Korean traditional medicine and western medicines by analyzing the perceptions of residents visiting local health centers on the collaborating care. Method : To this end, a self-administrated questionnaire was surveyed to 417 participants from March 10 to March 19, 2005. The questionnaires were regarding medical preferences, effectiveness, co-operative treatment types, and the demographic characteristics of the study population. The main statistical methods employed for analysis were frequency chi-square test analysis, using SPSS system 12.0 software for Windows. Result : First, the perceptions of collaborating care, such as preference and effectiveness, were better for residents who had experienced Korean traditional medicine(p < 0.05). Second, the most favorable collaborating care type was the neuromuscular disease and rehabilitation, and in particular, the preference of the patient who had experienced Korean traditional medicine was much higher than those who had not experienced it(p < 0.05). Third, as for recognizing the future of collaborating care, respondents insisted that collaboration care has to be conducted under evidence-based research. The reasons why collaborating care has not been active were reported as "difference in solving disease problems between oriental medicine and western medicine." The most important role of the Korean traditional medicines in the public sector was to provide specialized service for the elderly and low income households. Conclusion : Most respondents expected the positive effects of the collaborating care and wanted it to develop, particularly for neuromuscular diseases. As for the health promotion program in health centers, it was more popular than the home visiting program for the elderly and preventive rehabilitation for stroke. Now we must plan to balance between the need of the community and the medical provider on collaborating care.

부산방문 한.중 관광객의 정서적 이미지 비교 (Difference between the Domestic and China Tourist of the Destination Image in Busan)

  • This study investigated of the differences of the image between the domestic and china tourist of the visiting in busan metropolitan city and their image evaluation were different according to the nationality. The attribute for the destination image types were measured using 27 items. The factors involved in the destination image were analysis and 7 factors emerged. The result are as follows. First, Between the domestic and china tourist of living appeared to statistical different of the destination image. Second, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical difference. Third, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical difference according to the nationality. Forth, Between destination image and revisiting preference appeared to statistical partially difference according to the nationality. Finally it is also appeared to the statistical difference on the job. ANOVA, t-test was utilized for the above analysis which revealed that a statistic partially difference exited between domestic and china tourist.
