This research try to review about individuals' living culture place by record to before process of transition and modify of Bugundang village's forest in Itaewon. A result is as follows. First, Itaewon Bugundang is located in highest site of center building of twon forest, it has been preserve by double fence and taboo subject. Physical element of village forest is a factor which give sanctity of Buhundang. Second, it is connecting Namsan and Yongsan Family Park as green space. Also Itaewon Bugundang isolated from the current residential area. but in the past, the main beliefs and rituals of its area are responsible for a diverse community where public service was strong. Itaewon Bugundang have played a role presenting a local taboos and social norms. Therefore, these elements of the local community have the traditional cultural values. Third, Zelkova and Kalopanax pictus need to be preserved the value by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Fourth, components of Bugundang are built by Hwajucheong, Dangjigi house, seonangdan, monument, fence, masonry and various trees. And the function and role of each of these elements remains as traditional culture. And the structural features of historic architectural properties has the value as a registered cultural properties. Fifth, due to these features, the traditional landscape of Itaewon bugundang play a role succeeding disappearing traditional culture and is worth as a potentially valuable landscape elements. This study has significance to the excavation community tradition disappearing landscape and excavation of candidate new tradition.

This study's objective is to inform people of the value and identity and to understand the cultural landscape characteristics of coastal village forest, which have not been studied in-depth in previous studies. This study was conducted by selecting 10 village forest sites in the southern coast of Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea and the present state of forests were investigated through bibliographical and on-the-spot survey, as well as interviews with local villagers. The following points(characteristics of traditional culture, practical characteristics, scenic characteristics) are the important factors for analyzing cultural landscape characteristics of coastal village forest verified through the study. First, The coastal village forest in the village commons is mental space for the local community affected by folk belief rather than confucian backgrounds. Second, The coastal village forest is a reasonable space contriving economic efficiency and solving the real problems facing the coastal village. Third, The coastal village forest identities should be understood the land use around village and behind mountain from the sea of wide range rather than confined to just a forest consisting of trees. This study's significance is to make the basic data and to enhance the value of the coastal village forest unnoticed. In addition, the subjects of the study should be extended to the east and west coastal village forests and subsequent research should be conducted to notification the characteristics and differences of each coastal village forest.
The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the plan reflecting the place in cultural regeneration was implemented and whether it was a change of place in culture through culture analyze. Mullae-dong has changed its urban structure into a textile factory, a manufacturing industry, an ironworks+artistic complex, and the Mullae art factory has been organizing a festival that has been created by artists and residents alike in the Mullae creative village. However, prior to the creation of the Mullae art factory in the social element, self-sustaining programs of Mullae creative villages were derived, but now commercial space is mainly derived. Therefore, it is necessary to plan for coexistence of ironworks, cultural space and commercial space rather than expanding into commercial space. Geumcheon-gu Geumcheon-gu Geumcheon Art Factory has become an integrated complex where various industries coexist in industrial complex. Geumcheon Art Factory also holds an artist support program every year and actively works as an international creative exchange center in Seoul. However, programs that act as a mediator are not implemented since 2014, and the Open Studio stops once a year. Therefore, Geumcheon-gu needs to expand programs that can include local programs and programs that can be combined with local cultural media.
A law facilitating a family-friendly social environment was legislated in December 2007. According to the law, projects for facilitating a family-friendly social environment consisted of a family-friendly working environment, a community environment, and the promotion of a family-friendly culture. There has been much progress in developing a family-friendly working environment through projects such as those advocating for flexible work hours, an employee support system, and child care and a family care support system. However, in terms of a family-friendly community environment project, there was no noticeable advancement. Hence, this study was conducted to find ways to vitalize the family-friendly village project in terms of the family-friendly community environment project. The major findings of this study were as follows: A family-friendly village could be structured on the three axes of time, space, and relation. The model of the family-friendly village project consists of the following three steps: motivation, systematization, and participating & practicing. In the motivation step, integration, community, and sustainability were needed as basic ideologies for a family-friendly village. In the systematization step, providing systematic educational systems for residents taking on leadership and activist roles was stressed. In the participating & practicing step, many ways to facilitate residents' social relationships were suggested: starting the project from matters of common interests, making the resolution of families' problems a communal task of the residents, accepting the opinions of various groups associated with the matter, and taking a differentiated project process according to the geographic, socio-economic, and demographic characteristics of the groups. It is strongly suggested that the family-friendly village should be taken as a common functional scheme in everyone of eight livable village models because a key factor in a family-friendly village, family care, serves an essential function in any livable village model.

Walled town was located on the axis connecting symbolic places, which was a feng-shui lucky place of a mountain sits to the rear and a body of water sits to the front. It represents environmental development of cultural space by blend of folk belief, religion, social system, administration facilities and living culture buildings. Therefore it is sustainable cultural view connected of formed or formless religious view and artificial view(wall, government buildings, living houses, and cultivated land so on) in a nature landscape. Environmental design technique, enlarging its meaning and value of living to mental level was founded from space composition and settlement, which was constructed organized space of government and residence area of walled town within the wall for looking for lucky place(from best, better, and good places) in order to construct ecological network (天+地+人, 山+水+方位+人, 地理+生利+山水+人心) by outlook of space and settlement.
As a circumstantial-existance character (the human character who takes action after grasping circumstances and fears things with reason) the Japanese were more interested in the active doctrines of Wang Yang-ming than other speculative studies. All of people were inhumanely incorporated into the rigorous class system under pressure in the samurai society. In the atmosphere of the society a natural phenomenon was understood as the ksana of change, and instead of the whole, the part was mainly described with emphasis on the reality. Therefore nature came near to the man after being reduced and then was symbolized in the Interior space. Therefore the division of spaces according to class and sexuality and the settlement of borders were already shown in outside by Che-Na-Num(Divided-Mass:Koren's own style). These are closely related with that houses were built after a village settle down in Korea while built before a village settle down in Japan. Architectural space consists of the interior and the exterior. The layout and (on of architectural space has a great variety of characters by region and culture. In other words, it can be understood which has a priority between the interior and the exterior in developing the layout and the form of architectural space. Belonging to the culture area of Chinese characters with Korea, Japan has maintained its own Identity. It has an identity in the layout and form of architectural space as well. Therefore, the architecture and architectural theories of the two countries were compared and analyzed with priority given to the traditional architecture, also the backgrounds of architecture and architectural theories of two countries were examined in this study. This study shows that each country has different characters in how to introduce nature, how to expand space and how to compose windows, including the view of nature and the cult of space. As a result, the space in Korean architecture has relatively the exterior-oriented character but in Japan architecture spatial character is interior-oriented. The interior-oriented character can be relevant to the word 'reduction' and the exterior-oriented character to 'extension' after all. Also it can be thought that each character has a great relation with climate and idea of people in power.
Sugok Villiage. of the prospective flooded villiages for building Im Ha Dam, is selected as the studied place. Primarily, the purpose of this study is invested, recerded about traditional living environment, and then searched to find out possibilites on the context of the inheritance of analyzing about life contents and space. The result of this study are as follows:1) In composition of living environment, thinking view on confucianism and living view on folk beliefs are considered as important element2) Hierarchy of life environment is appeared of above and below space.(focused on JONG KA) and inner and outer space(boarded on pine forest) on the other hand according to living territory life environment can be divided into five territories.3) Confucian ideas, social status, folk beliefs and economics has been affected about formation of individual life. Accordingly, I believe that true inheritance of traditional culture was, through preserving mental contents as well as physical contents, possible.
Two utilitarian and symbolic objects associated with womanhood in Cambodian culture are the stove and the pot. The pot is a symbol of both the womb and female sexuality; the stove is a symbol of gendered feminine labor. This article argues that the sexist representations of the Khmer female body by modern Cambodian male artists demonstrate an inherited legacy of Orientalist stereotypes. These images were formed : under French colonialism and often depict Khmer women as erotic/exotic native Others. Starting in the 1970s, however, if not earlier, Cambodian women began to question the gendering of social roles that confined them to domestic space and labor. This form of social questioning was especially present in pop songs. In recent years, contemporary Cambodian woman artists such as Neak Sophal and Tith Kanitha have made use of rice pots and stoves in their art as freighted symbols of femininity. Neak created an installation of rice pots from different households in their village, while Tith rebelled against this gendered role by destroying cooking stoves as an act of defiance against patriarchy in her performance art.
The purpose of this research is to identify the everyday life culture, housing satisfaction and housing importance of older Korean-Chinese living in Harbin, China. Social survey research using the questionnaire was conducted from August to October in 2011. A total of 94 usable samples were analyzed by the SPSS version the 18.0 statistical program using frequency, percentage, cross-tabulation, factor analysis, and Pearson's correlation. The major findings were as follows. Firstly, older Chinese in Harbin were assimilated into Chinese culture such as national holidays and respectful people, but acculturated in terms of their daily food, and their preference to live in a Korean-Chinese village. Secondly, they had mainly lived in multi-story houses, the so called Chinese-style apartments. The average size of their living space was $80.33m^2$ and they were usually unsatisfied with their neighbors and floor treatment lacking Ondol(溫突). Thirdly, 5 factors affecting on housing value orientation were 'physical characteristics','emotional characteristics', 'economic characteristics', 'social characteristics', 'neighbor characteristics/reputation of the house' and they explained 73.9%. 2 factors affecting on housing satisfaction were 'inner complex/inner space' and 'neighborhood environment' and they explained 69.4%. In conclusion, some policy is needed for Korean Chinese living in Harbin for their well-being when it comes to their housing needs and conditions. Given the nature of big city, Harbin and its attraction, younger Korean-Chinese tend to be rapidly assimilated into Chinese culture. However older people in Harbin think that it is important for their children to learn both countries' languages and cultures in order to be successful, so some concrete policies and supports are needed.

The need for communication is emphasized in decision making, design methods and processes for the educational environment that contain new curricula and learning methods. In this study, we tried to find the direction and agenda of learner-centered environment restructuring through the 'user-integrated platform' in which various subjects related to school space environment understand each other's position and overcome the barriers and prejudices of each sector. The project was planned in a 'bottom-up process' method that uncovered the singularities of the previous stage and led the main contents of the next stage. The various subjects who participated in the project shared their own experiences and different positions regarding the school space. At the workshop, the topics of the participating teams were divided into two categories. The teams in the category of the 'school culture and space' insisted innovation of 'the school culture' as a premise for the restructuring of the 'school space', and proposed schools with different interpretations of 'authority and rules of school', 'the meaning of learning and play' and 'the main character of school. The teams in the category of the 'school borders and spaces' focused on 'communication' and proposed schools containing 'emotional care of students', 'borders between schools and villages', 'village community schools', and 'interspace and niche time'. After the workshop, we were able to derive the direction and architectural strategy of the school space restructuring by analyzing the works of the participants. Through this study, we confirmed the possibility of translating user's ideas into the professional domain through careful planning, preparation, facilitation, and analysis in Participatory Design.
