인터넷 기반의 VOD(Video On Demand) 서비스 시스템이 사용자에게 QoS (Quality of Service)를 보장하기 위한 방법으로 네트워크 흐름제어 기능을 갖춘 브로커를 개발하고자 한다. 네트워크 상태에 따라 흐름제어를 하는 브로커는 멀티-레이어 데이터를 이용하여 VOD 서비스를 제공한다. 이로써 사용자는 최소한의 버퍼와 버퍼 교환 알고리즘에 따른 복잡도를 줄일 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 상태를 파악하여 VOD 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 브로커를 설계하고 구현 결과에 대해 기술하겠다.

VOD(Video on Demand) 에서의 인증 시스템은 기본적으로 공개키 증명서 방식과 공개키 암호 메카니듬을 이용한 인중 프로토콜에 바탕을 두고 실현될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 VOD 에서의 인증 시스템을 실현하기 위한 인증 프로토콜 스택, 인증 프로토콜, 그리고 적용 가능한 인증 매카니듬을 분석한다 그리고 VOD 인증 시스템을 실현하기 위해 요구되는 서버 및 사용자 측면에서의 인증 관련 변수 및 타이머를 정의하고, 각 개체에서의 인증 절차를 규정한다 또한 국내 VOD 시스템에 적용될 수 있는 인증 방식의 기본 원칙을 재시한다. 그리고 인증을 위한 공개키 증명서의 형태를 정의하고, RSA서명 메카니듬을 이용하여 이를 구현하며, 인증 프로토콜을 768 비트 RSA서명 메카니듬 및 MD5 해쉬 함수를 이용하여 C 언어로 실현한 시뮬레이션한 결과를 제시한다. 본 연구의 논문의 결과는 VOD CA(Certificate Authority) 구축시 및 VOD 인증 시스템 실현시 유용하게 적용될 수 있다.

Recently researches that apply P2P networks to VOD streaming have been actively published In the previous works on VOD streaming, they aimed at achieving two major goals, which are zero-delay transmission and minimization of service rejection ratio. This paper proposes a new method, called ForwardCast, for VOD streaming based on a P2P-based multicasting tree in order to achieve theses two goals. In this method,- basically a new client selects one of the preceding clients and starts receiving a whole video from the selected one without any delay. In some situation, two preceding clients are selected to transfer the ending part of the video and its the remaining part simultaneously. In our experiment, ForwardCast can reduce the rejection ratio compared to previous works without increasing server stress.

Currently, image processing are used widely and have various types of characteristics with the applications of VOD(Video on demand), the web casting services, the video conference systems and virtual realities. Using the scene change, at every time of video image transitions, an editor can classify the video context and also require a function of in(Boxing insertion. Digital watermarking provides a solution to illegal copying of digital contents and has many other useful applications, including web broadcast monitoring, transaction tracking, authentication, copy control and device control. The Purpose of this thesis is to implement of nonlinear moving picture editor for the multiple watermarking. For the effective watermarking performance, this thesis considers the protection of image quality reduction and robustness for hiding information concurrently.

VOD (Video-On Demand) Services are considered to be one of the most successful data broadcasting services, along with Electronic Program Guides (EPGs). In particular, VOD services provide supplementary revenue for broadcasting companies in addition to the existing subscription fees and advertisement-based revenue. Therefore, each broadcasting company has developed its own VOD service and constantly seeks to improve it. This leads to the development of new VOD services, so developers are considering ways to effectively handle the frequent development needs. In this background, we conducted underlying research to apply the feature-oriented analysis model to the development of VOD services. The feature-oriented analysis model used in this study is the Feature-Oriented Domain Analysis (FODA) one developed by SEI of Carnegie Mellon University. FODA provides a tool for specifying the feature model of a software domain, based on which the developers can determine the configuration of the software with the customers. This study developed a feature model of the VOD service domain and devised the functionalities and test cases in an integrated manner with the feature model. Additionally, we proposed a VOD service development process utilizing the feature model, function specification, and test cases.

초고속망의 급속한 보급은 인터넷 사용자로 하여금 다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 요구를 증가시키고 있다. 하지만 데이터 용량의 기하급수적인 증가는 VOD(Video On Demand) 서비스에 많은 문제를 야기하고 있다. 따라서 이와 같은 문제점을 지닌 병렬 VOD 서버를 개선, 보완할 수 있는 새로운 형태의 P2P 기반 VOD 서버를 본 논문에서 제안하고자 한다. P2P 기반 VOD 서버는 병렬 VOD 서버에 비해 저렴한 구축비용과 용이한 확장성을 제공하며 계층화된 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스를 제공함으로써 다양한 대역폭을 갖고 있는 통신망 환경에서 실시간 멀티미디어 서비스가 가능한 장점을 가지고 있다.

Passive optical networks (PONs) are the emerging solution for access networks since PONs provide high bandwidth. TDM ((time-division multiplexing) PON cannot support sufficient bandwidth for new broadband services such as UHD (ultra high-definition) IP TV, and VOD (video on demand). The solution is TWDM PON which is a mixture of WDM (wavelength-division multiplexing) and TDM. This paper proposes a new MAC (media access control) protocol for TWDM PON.

오늘날 네트웍의 발달로 인하여 사용자가 원하는 영상매체를 실시간으로 요구하는 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 사용자의 요구가 날로 증가하고 있다. 때문에 영상매체를 제공하는 서버는 여러 사용자들이 동시에 접속하였을 때 서비스를 제공 할 수 있는 능력을 가져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 VOD(Video-On-Demand)시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. VOD 시스템은 미디어를 분석하여 BES(Back-End-Server)에 저장하는 영화 관리자(Movie Manager), 분산 저장된 데이터를 읽어 들여 사용자나 연결된 FES(Front-End Server)로 보내는 BES, 사용자에게 미디어 데이트를 전송하는 FES와 전송된 데이트를 받아서 재생하는 클라이언트(Client)를 구성된다. 또한 다수의 서버를 연결하기 위하여 SCI(Scalabel Coherent Interface)를 이용한 효율적인 메시지 전송방법을 구현한다.

Downlink beamforming is very important in recent mobile communications which requires wireless internet, VOD(Video-On-Demand), multimedia services. This paper addresses and analyzes the essential considerations fur downlink beamforming of smart antenna system to provide wanted characteristics. Major considerations in this paper are HPA power allocation for downlink beamforming, received power at mobile terminal, concept and performance of auxiliary pilot channel, importance and moth of array calibration, and throughput comparison of downlink and uplink. All above mentioned items are investigated in this paper.

초고속 통신망 인프라 구축으로 인해 인터넷을 통한 대용량 멀티미디어 데이터 전송이 가능하게 되었고, 이와 관련하여 VOD(Video-On-Demand) 서버에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행중이다. 대용량의 비디오 데이터를 실시간으로 서비스하기 위해서는 단일 VOD 서버로는 그 한계가 있기 때문에 최근 여러개의 PC들을 클러스트링하여 구성된 병렬 VOD 서버들이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 병렬 VOD 서버로 현재 많이 활용되고 있는 모텔들에 대해 알아보고 각각의 성능을 비교 분석함으로써 보다 나은 모델에 대한 방향을 제시해 보고자 한다.
