  • 미래 정보와 시대에서 중추적인 역할을 할 광관련 멀티미디어 장비들은 최근 관련 산업계에서 주목을 받기 시작하고 있고 특히 기존 VTR(Video Tape Recorder) 시장을 대체할 차세대 DVDR(Digital Video Disk Recorder)는 기술전쟁이라고 할 정도로 선진 기업의 연구가 치열해지고 있다. DVDR 시스템에서는 필요한 정보들을 레이저빔을 이용한 광학신호로 바꾸어 광디스크에 기록, 재생하는 광픽업이 절대적으로 필요하게 된다. 그런데 광픽업의 위치추종기구인 Actuator는 정확한 위치추종(.+-.1.$\mu$m 오차이내)을 할 수 있는 성능이 요구되며 서보의 특성상 20KHz 이하에서 불필요한 모우드가 가진되지 않는 정밀부품이어야 하므로 Actuator 각 부품의 동적인 특성을 명확히 규명할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 우선 Actuator 각 부품과 가동부 전체의 중량 및 진동해석을 통해 동특성을 조사하였다. 그리고 Actuator의 중요한 기본성능중 하나인 구동감도 확보여부를 검토할 필요가 있기 때문에 유한요소법 프로그램인 ANSYS를 이용하여 자기회로 부분에 대한 해석을 구하였다. 또한 가동부와 자기회로 등 하위부품을 조립하는 과정에서 발생하는 조립오차로 인해 불필요한 공진과 회전형상이 야기될 수 있으므로 동특성 및 문제점 파악을 위한 민감도 분석이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가동부의 관성 모멘트 값과 강체에 대한 일반식을 이용한 자체 프로그램을 작성하여 조립공차를 구하였다. 이와같은 과정을 통해 구해진 설계값을 바탕으로 실제 제작된 Actuator에 대해서는 비접촉식 측정방법을 통해 동특성값을 측정하였고 이를 해석값과 상호 비교하였다.동강성행렬법(dynamic stiffness matrix method)을 이용하여 해석하고자 한다. 수준임이 입증되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로우리나라 젊고 건강한 남성에게 적합한 무게상수는 작업자군에 대하여 25.05kg, 학생군에 대하여 20.24kg 으로 나타나 이는 미국 NIOSH 안전기준과 대체로 일치함을 발견하였다.ive structures utilized in Client/server architecture for distribution and cooperative processing of application between server and client this study presents two different data management methods under the Client/server environment; one is "Remote Data Management Method" which uses file server or database server and. the other is "Distributed Data Management Method" using distributed database management system.   • The UHDTV system, which provides realistic service with ultra-high definite video and multi-channel audio, has been studied as a next generation broadcasting service. Since the conventional digital terrestrial transmission system is not capable to cover the increased transmission data rate of the UHDTV service, there are great necessity of researches about increase of data rate. Accordingly, the researches has been studied to increase the transmission data rate of the DVB-T2 system using dual-polarized MIMO technique and high order modulation. In order to optimize the MIMO DVB-T2 system where irregular LDPC codes are used, it is necessary to study the design of the bit mapper that matches the LDPC code and QAM symbols in MIMO channel. However, the research related to the design of the bit mapper has been limited to the SISO system. Therefore, this paper defines a new parameter that indicates the VND distribution of MIMO DVB-T2 system and performs the performance analysis according to the parameter which will be helpful for designing a MIMO bit mapper.

An AP Selection Scheme for Enhancement of Multimedia Streaming in Wireless Network Environments (무선 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 AP 선정 기법)

  • Recently, there has been a growing interest in the use of WLAN technology due to its easy deployment, flexibility and so on. Examples of WLAN applications range from standard internet services such as Web access to real-time services with strict latency/throughput requirements such as multimedia video and voice over IP on wireless network environments. Fair and efficient distribution of the traffic loads among APs(Access Points) has become an important issue for improved utilization of WLAN. This paper focuses on an AP selection scheme for achieving better load balance, and hence increasing network resource utilization for each user on wireless network environments. This scheme makes use of active scan patterns and the network delay as main parameters of load measurement and AP selection. This scheme attempts to estimate the AP traffic loads by observing the up/down delay and utilize the results to maximize the link resource efficiency through load balancing. We compared the proposed scheme with the original SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio)-based scheme using the NS-2(Network Simulation.2). We found that the proposed scheme improves the throughput by 12.5% and lower the network up/down link delay by 36.84% and 60.42%, respectively. All in all, the new scheme can significantly increase overall network throughput and reduce up/down delay while providing excellent quality for voice and video services.

  • The digital app-book is an advanced form of the electronic book (e-book), which attracts a lot of interests by the help of video, sound, sensors and a variety of interactions. As mobile devices have evolved, the demand of digital app-books is also rising substantially. However, the distribution of digital app-book contents is hard to meet the demand because the digital app-book requires a lot of programming cost for the interaction. To resolve this problem, Was verified and implementation as a library function of the interaction between device and user. The proposed library consists of three parts (user action recognition, device action, and content action) and provides various user-device interaction functions by combining methods of each part, which can support source code reusability, easy understanding and availability, and wide expandibility. The library was used in the development of natural science education app-book contents. As a result, it could reduce a lot of code lines and facilitate more rapid app-book development.

A Study on the Thermal Coefficient Measurements of Special Steel by ESPI at High Temperature (고온에서 ESPI에 의한 특수강의 열팽창계수 측정에 관한 연구)

  • Electric Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) using a CW-laser, a video system and an image processor was applied to the thermal coefficient measurements on free thermal expansions at high temperatures : ESPI provides the distribution of in-plane displacement resolved in a preselected direction. ESPI retains the merits of little or no surface preparation, no contact with the surface and the real-time presentation of interference fringes. Appling ESPI at high temperatures, several problem which caused the reduction of fringe visibility were encountered. The problem on the turbulence in the hot air surrounding high temperature objects will be solved by using a vacuum chamber. The background radiations from the objects were suppressed considerably by an interference filter. The problem on the oxidation of the object surface could't be solved. The interference fringe, whose spacings were calculated by FFT to avoid human error, were observable up to $800^{\circ}C$. The results measured by ESPI were nearly equal to the data which have already been published, up to about $800^{\circ}C$.

  • An analog to digital converter(: ADC) has been designed to extract video signals of marine X-band radar and convert to digital signals in order to produce rainfall information. X-band weather radars are suitable for high temporal-spatial resolution observations of rainfall over local ranges but they are very expensive and require professional management. The marine radars with 10-2 cost facilitate data collection and management as well as economic benefits. To validate the usefulness of the developed ADC, comparative observations were made with weather radar for short term precipitation cases. The rainfall distribution of marine radar observations are consistent with that of weather radar within a radius of 15 km. This demonstrates the usability of marine radar for rainfall observations.

  • This study was performed to develop a video based system which can be used to measure the averaged fish size in a non-intrusive fashion. The design was based on principles of simple stereo geometry, incorporated fish dimensions weight relationships and took into consideration fish movement to lower system costs. As the fish size is an important factor that impacts the economy of an aquaculture enterprise. Size measurements, including fork length, width or height, girth, thickness and mass, can be used to determine fish condition in the fish farm, so the averaged fish size of fish cage needs to consistently monitor in open ocean aquaculture cage. A precision of ${\pm}3%$ for replicate length measurements of a 60cm bar is obtained at distances between 2.0 and 6.0m, and the mean fork length and mean swimming speed of bluefin tuna were estimated to 48.8cm and 0.78FL/s, respectively.

  • In this paper, we offer an analysis method for SL/D/1/K queueing system, where the shifting-level (SL) process proposed in the part I of this study[1]. Since an exact analysis of SL/D/1/K queueing system is very difficult, we propose an approximation method, where the queze sizes at input state transition epochs is quantized and thus the name 'quantization reduction method'. We provide the upper and lower bounds of the approximation for the system size distribution also, In addition, since the continuos version of well-known DAR(1) model is a kind of SL process with exponential correlation term only, the proposed method can be directly applied to the analysis of DAR(1)/D/1/K queueing system as well.

Parallel Gaussian Processes for Gait and Phase Analysis (보행 방향 및 상태 분석을 위한 병렬 가우스 과정)

  • This paper proposes a sequential state estimation model consisting of continuous and discrete variables, as a way of generalizing all discrete-state factorial HMM, and gives a design of gait motion model based on the idea. The discrete state variable implements a Markov chain that models the gait dynamics, and for each state of the Markov chain, we created a Gaussian process over the space of the continuous variable. The Markov chain controls the switching among Gaussian processes, each of which models the rotation or various views of a gait state. Then a particle filter-based algorithm is presented to give an approximate filtering solution. Given an input vector sequence presented over time, this finds a trajectory that follows a Gaussian process and occasionally switches to another dynamically. Experimental results show that the proposed model can provide a very intuitive interpretation of video-based gait into a sequence of poses and a sequence of posture states.

A Study on the Strain Analysis of Plane by Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry(ESPI) (전자처리스페클패턴간섭법에 의한 평판의 Strain 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Electronic speckle pattern interferometry(ESPI) using a CW laser, a video system and an image processor were applied to the in-plane displacement measurements. Unlike traditional strain gauges or Moire method, ESPI method requires no special surface preparation or attachments and it can be measured in-plane displacement without any contact and real time. In this experiment, specimen was loaded in paralled with a loa cell. The specimen was plance to which strain gauges was attached. The study provides an example of how ESPI have been used to measure displacement and strain distribution in this specimen. The results measured by ESPI were compared with the data which were measured by strain gauge method in tensile testing.
