Vibration test on MAST(multi axial simulation table) system has several advantage over one-axial vibration test that could simulate 6-DOF, 3-axial translation and 3-axial moment, at the same time. Since field vibration motion can be fully represented with 6-DOF, multi-axial vibration test on vehicle component is widely conducted in technical leading companies to make sure its fatigue performance in vibration environment. On the way to fulfill the process, editing technique of obtained field data is key issue to success a reliable vibration testing with MAST system. Since the original signals are not only too large to fulfill it directly, but all of the measured data is not guarantee its convergency on generating its driving files, editing technique of the original signals are highly required to make some events that should meet the equal fatigue damage on the target component In this paper, key technique on editing a field data feasible for MAST system is described based on energy method in vibration fatigue. To explain its technique explicitly, author first introduced a process on field data acquisition of two vehicle component and then, representing events are produced to keep up with the editing strategy about a energy method. In the final chapter, a time information regarding a vibration test on MAST system is derived from the energy data which is critical information to perform a vibration test.

Fly-wheel, gimbal antenna, mechanical gyro and cryocooler with moving parts generate a micro-vibration during their on-orbit operation. For the acquisition of high quality image of observation satellite, additional technical efforts are required to reduce the micro-vibration level from the vibration sources. In this study, we proposed a passive isolation system combined with a tuned mass damper-type energy harvester to generate electrical energy from the micro-vibration which has always been subjected to useless isolation objectives. The feasibility of the system has been investigated through the numerical simulation.

This paper presents an experimental study on vibration characteristics of an automotive roof with viscoelastic material. The goal of the study is to extract modal parameters (natural frequency, loss factor, and mode shape) of automotive roof with unconstrained and constrained layer damping treatment. To determine the effective position of the viscoelastic patch on a roof, vibration tests have been carried out for two cases; Aluminum plate with viscoelastic patch on maximum strain energy, and aluminum plate with viscoelastic patch on nodal line. From the result of aluminum plate, it is found that the viscoelastic patch should be attached on the Place with maximum strain energy Part. For the automotive root five Patches of unconstrained or constrained viscoelastic material have been attached on the position of maximum strain energy. This paper addresses that the proper position of viscoelastic patch is very important and the concept of maximum strain energy may be a good criterion f3r the placement of viscoelastic patch.
An axial-flow-induced vibration model was proposed for a rod supported by two translational springs at both ends. For developing the model, a one-mode approximation was made based on the assumption that the first mode was dominant in vibration behavior of the single span rod. The first natural frequency and mode shape functions for the flow-induced vibration, called the FIV model were derived by using Lagrange's method. The vibration displacements at reactor conditions were calculated by the proposed model for the spring-supported rod and by the previous model for the simple-supported(55) rod. As a result, the vibration displacement for the spring-supported rod was larger than that of the 55 rod, and the discrepancy between both displacements became much larger as flow velocity increased. The vibration displacement for the spring-supported rod appeared to decrease with the increase of the spring constant. AS flow velocity increased, the increase rate of vibration displacement was calculated to go linearly up, and that of the rod having the short span length was larger than that of the rod having the long span length although the displacement value itself of the long span rod was larger than that of the short one.

A Comprehensive Vibration Assessment Program (CVAP) has been performed for Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plant Unit 4 (YGN 4) in order to verify the structural integrity of the reactor internals for flow induced vibrations prior to commercial operation. The theoretical evidence for the structural integrity of the reactor internals and the basis for measurement and inspection are provided by the analysis. Flow induced hydraulic loads and reactor internals vibration response data were measured during pre-core hot functional testing in YGN 4 site. Also, the critical areas in the reactor internals were inspected visually to check any existence of structural abnormality before and after the pre-core hot functional testing. Then, the measured data have been analyzed and compared with the predicted data by analysis. The measured stresses are less than the predicted values and the allowable limits. It is concluded that the vibration response of the reactor internals due to the flow induced vibration under normal operation is acceptable for long term operation.
To improve the vibration control performance and applicability of traditional particle tuned mass damper (PTMD) and realize the significant characteristic of lightweight design, this study proposes a novel particle tuned mass inerter system (PTMIS) by introducing inerter system (IS) to the PTMD. In the study, the motion equation of single degree of freedom (SDOF) structure attached with PTMIS is established first, then the variation law of the system's vibration reduction performance (VRP) is discussed through parameter analysis, and it is compared with the PTMD to analyze its VRP advantages. Finally, its vibration reduction (VR) mechanism from the perspective of core control force and energy analysis is explored, and its cavity relative displacement from the application perspective is analyzed. The results show that the PTMIS can remarkably improve the vibration control effectiveness of the PTMD. The reason is that the inerter can store energy and transfer the energy to the cavity and particles, which further stimulates the interaction between the two parts, thereby improving the nonlinear energy consumption effectiveness. Also, the IS can amplify the damping element's energy dissipation efficiency. In addition, the PTMIS can effectively reduce the working stroke of the PTMD, and through the analysis of the lightweight characteristics of the PTMIS, it is found that its lightweight advantage can reach nearly 100%.
CA mortar layer disengagement will give rise to the overall structural changes of the track and variation in the vibration form of the ballastless track. By establishing a vehicle-track-viaduct coupling analysis and calculation model, it is possible to analyze the CRTS-I type track structure vibration response while the track slab is disengaging with the power flow evaluation method, to compare the two disengaging types, namely partial contact loss at one edge beneath track slab and partial contact loss at midpoint beneath track slab. It can also study how the length of disengaging influences the track structures vibration power. It is showed that when the partial contact loss beneath track slab, and the relative vibration energy level between the rail and the track slab increases significantly within [10, 200]Hz with the same disengaging length, the partial contact loss at one edge beneath track slab has more prominent influence on the vibration power than the partial contact loss at midpoint beneath track slab. With the increase of disengaging length, the relative vibration energy level of the track slab grows sharply, but it will change significantly when it reaches 1.56 m. Little effect will be caused by the relative vibration energy level of the viaduct. The partial contact loss beneath the track slab will cause more power distribution and transmission between the trail and track slab, and will then affect the service life of the rail and track slab.

This study was carried out vibration attenuation of vibration absorber attached to the cantilever beam structure. Modern tank guns are stabilized to allow fire on the move while traversing uneven terrain. However, as the length of the barrel is extended, to meet required muzzle exit velocities, the terrain induced vibrations lead to increased muzzle pointing errors. Thus, reducing these vibrations should lead to increased accuracy. The vibration absorber includes a compliant energy storage device, such as a spring, and a mass secured to the energy storage device. In this study, it accomplished a research in about gun barrel vibration attenuation using tuned mass damper. The barrel was hung from a bungee cord for free - free condition. It accomplished a vibration experiment for verified attenuation efficiency.

Studies that the vehicle exhaust system applied by the TEG(thermal electric generator) are actively in progress in order to improve the fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Vehicle exhaust system is on a poor vibration condition, it is susceptible to TEG. This paper is about the development of vibration durability test of TEG mounted on a vehicle exhaust system. Vehicle driving tests are performed to measure the vibration condition of the vehicle exhaust system. The vibration durability test mode of TEG is evaluated using equivalent vibration energy method. The vibration durability tests of TEG are performed using the multi-axial vibration simulation table.
