동일 이미지 판별을 위해 Faster D2-Net을 이용한 이미지 기반의 애플리케이션 테스트 방법 (Image-Based Application Testing Method Using Faster D2-Net for Identification of the Same Image)

  • 이미지 기반 애플리케이션 테스트는 이미지 구조 비교를 통한 애플리케이션 테스트 방법을 제안한다. 이 연구는 다양한 디바이스 운영체제의 종류나 GUI에 의존 없이 다양한 기기에서 테스트가 가능하다. 기존 연구는 운영체제 변경, 화면상의 애니메이션 실행 그리고 해상도 변경의 경우 정답 이미지와 달라지기 때문에 기존의 경우 각각 변형마다 테스터를 생성해야 했다. 하지만 이 방법은 운영체제 변경, 해상도 크기의 변경, 화면상의 애니메이션 실행과 같은 변화가 발생해도 동일한 기준으로 판별하기 때문에 하나의 테스터로 테스트할 수 있다. 두 이미지의 객체들의 기본 구조를 비교하고 이미지에 차이가 존재하는 영역을 추출해서 Faster D2-Net의 특징점으로 이미지 유사성을 비교한다. Faster D2-Net 개발로 D2-Net보다 연산의 수와 공간적 손실을 줄여 애플리케이션 이미지에서 특징점을 추출하기 적합하고 수행 시간 단축이 가능했다.

Transcutaneous medial fixation sutures for free flap inset after robot-assisted nipple-sparing mastectomy

  • The application of minimal invasive mastectomy has allowed surgeons to perform nipples-paring mastectomy via a shorter, inconspicuous incision under clear vision and with more precise hemostasis. However, it poses new challenges in microsurgical breast reconstruction, such as vascular anastomosis and flap insetting, which are considerably more difficult to perform through the shorter incision on the lateral breast border. We propose an innovative technique of transcutaneous medial fixation sutures to help in flap insetting and creating and maintaining the medial breast border. The sutures are placed after mastectomy and before flap transfer. Three 4-0 nylon suture loops are placed transcutaneously and into the pocket at the markings of the preferred lower medial border of the reconstructed breast. After microvascular anastomosis and temporary shaping of the flap on top of the mastectomy skin, the three corresponding points for the sutures are identified. The three nylon loops are then sutured to the dermis of the corresponding medial point of the flap. The flap is placed into the pocket by a simultaneous gentle pull on the three sutures and a combined lateral push. The stitches are then tied and buried after completion of flap inset.

Analysis of the trueness and precision of complete denture bases manufactured using digital and analog technologies

  • PURPOSE. Digital technology has enabled improvements in the fitting accuracy of denture bases via milling techniques. The aim of this study was to evaluate the trueness and precision of digital and analog techniques for manufacturing complete dentures (CDs). MATERIALS AND METHODS. Sixty identical CDs were manufactured using different production protocols. Digital and analog technologies were compared using the reference geometric approach, and the Δ-error values of eight areas of interest (AOI) were calculated. For each AOI, a precise number of measurement points was selected according to sensitivity analyses to compare the Δ-error of trueness and precision between the original model and manufactured prosthesis. Three types of statistical analysis were performed: to calculate the intergroup cumulative difference among the three protocols, the intergroup among the AOIs, and the intragroup difference among AOIs. RESULTS. There was a statistically significant difference between the dentures made using the oversize process and injection molding process (P < .001), but no significant difference between the other two manufacturing methods (P = .1227). There was also a statistically significant difference between the dentures made using the monolithic process and the other two processes for all AOIs (P = .0061), but there was no significant difference between the other two processes (P = 1). Within each group, significant differences among the AOIs were observed. CONCLUSION. The monolithic process yielded better results, in terms of accuracy (trueness and precision), than the other groups, although all three processes led to dentures with Δ-error values well within the clinical tolerance limit.

Mock-up Test를 통한 AI 및 열화상 기반 콘크리트 균열 깊이 평가 기법의 적용성 검증 (Application Verification of AI&Thermal Imaging-Based Concrete Crack Depth Evaluation Technique through Mock-up Test)

  • With the increasing number of aging buildings across Korea, emerging maintenance technologies have surged. One such technology is the non-contact detection of concrete cracks via thermal images. This study aims to develop a technique that can accurately predict the depth of a crack by analyzing the temperature difference between the crack part and the normal part in the thermal image of the concrete. The research obtained temperature data through thermal imaging experiments and constructed a big data set including outdoor variables such as air temperature, illumination, and humidity that can influence temperature differences. Based on the collected data, the team designed an algorithm for learning and predicting the crack depth using machine learning. Initially, standardized crack specimens were used in experiments, and the big data was updated by specimens similar to actual cracks. Finally, a crack depth prediction technology was implemented using five regression analysis algorithms for approximately 24,000 data points. To confirm the practicality of the development technique, crack simulators with various shapes were added to the study.

요추부 추간판 탈출증 환자에 대한 고전압 미세전류치료의 누적치료효과 (Cumulative Therapeutic Effect of High-Voltage Microcurrent Therapy in Patients with Herniated Lumbar Disc)

  • Objective: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of high-voltage microcurrent therapy in patients with herniated lumbar disc (HLD) presenting radicular or back pain. Method: This is a retrospective study with 33 patients who are complaining pain with HLD findings on magnetic resonance image. Microcurrent therapy was applied to leg or paralumbar area. Treatment was conducted for seven minutes with 250~1000 uA intensity as high as the patients could tolerate via stimulating probe with roller type and the frequency was 60 Hz with a sine wave pulse. The visual analogue scale (VAS) was measured just before and after the treatment. Results: The degree of pain reduction (△VAS) was 1.6 points after treatment on average. The △VAS according to the diagnosis, stenosis, dermatome area, medication, pain site and caudal epidural block was not statistically significant. However, the △VAS according to the number of treatments (< 3, ≥ 3 times) showed a statistically significant difference (p=0.04). Conclusion: High-voltage microcurrent therapy may help reduce lumbar or lumbosacral radiating pain after the procedure. The effect was better when microcurrent was applied three times or more. This result suggests that the microcurrent would have cumulative effect on reducing radicular or back pain in patients with HLD.

딥러닝 기반 OffsetNet 모델을 통한 KOMPSAT 광학 영상 정합 (KOMPSAT Optical Image Registration via Deep-Learning Based OffsetNet Model)

  • 위성 시계열 데이터가 증가함에 따라 원격탐사 자료의 활용도가 높아지고 있다. 시계열 자료를 통한 분석에 있어 영상 간의 상대적인 위치 정확도는 결과에 큰 영향을 미치기 때문에 이를 보정하기 위한 영상 정합 과정은 필수적으로 선행되어야 한다. 최근에는 기존 알고리즘의 성능을 상회하는 딥러닝 기반 영상 정합 연구의 사례가 증가하고 있다. 딥러닝 기반 정합 모델을 학습하기 위해서는 수 많은 영상 쌍이 필요하다. 또한, 기존 딥러닝 모델의 데이터 간의 상관도 map을 제작하고, 이에 추가적인 연산을 적용하여 정합점을 추출는데 이는 비효율적이다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 연구에서는 영상 정합 모델 학습을 위한 데이터 증강 기법을 구축하여 데이터셋을 제작하였고, 이를 오프셋(offset) 양 자체를 예측하는 정합 모델인 OffsetNet에 적용하여 KOMSAT-2, -3, -3A 영상 정합을 수행하였다. 모델 학습 결과, OffsetNet은 평가 데이터에 대해 높은 정확도로 오프셋 양을 예측하였고, 이를 통해 주영상과 부영상을 효과적으로 정합하였다.

Awareness of using chatbots and factors influencing usage intention among nursing students in South Korea: a descriptive study

  • Purpose: Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a profound impact on humanity; in particular, chatbots have been designed for interactivity and applied to many aspects of daily life. Chatbots are also regarded as an innovative modality in nursing education. This study aimed to identify nursing students' awareness of using chatbots and factors influencing their usage intention. Methods: This study, which employed a descriptive design using a self-reported questionnaire, was conducted at three university nursing schools located in Seoul, South Korea. The participants were 289 junior and senior nursing students. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires, both online via a Naver Form and offline. Results: The total mean score of awareness of using chatbots was 3.49±0.61 points out of 5. The mean scores of the four dimensions of awareness of using chatbots were 3.37±0.60 for perceived value, 3.66±0.73 for perceived usefulness, 3.83±0.73 for perceived ease of use, and 3.36±0.87 for intention to use. Significant differences were observed in awareness of using chatbots according to satisfaction with nursing (p<.001), effectiveness of using various methods for nursing education (p<.001), and interest in chatbots (p<.001). The correlations among the four dimensions ranged from .52 to .80. In a hierarchical regression analysis, perceived value (β=.45) accounted for 60.2% of variance in intention to use. Conclusion: The results suggest that chatbots have the potential to be used in nursing education. Further research is needed to clarify the effectiveness of using chatbots in nursing education.

과수원 자율 주행을 위한 과수 줄 인식 및 2차원 지도 생성 방법 (Fruit Tree Row Recognition and 2D Map Generation for Autonomous Driving in Orchards)

  • 본 연구는 자율 주행을 위한 과수원 내 2차원 지도를 생성하는 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 과수원의 과수가 일반적으로 열로 정렬되어 있다는 특성에 기반하여, 나무 열을 감지하고 이 정보를 지도에 투영하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 우선 점 구름 데이터에서 점들의 분포를 분석하여 나무를 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 인식된 과수의 위치를 기반으로 과수 열을 추출하는 방법을 소개하고, 이를 2차원 과수원 지도에 통합한다. 본 연구는 LiDAR를 통해 획득한 실제 과수원 점 구름 데이터를 사용하여 제안하는 알고리즘을 검증하였다. 그 결과, 90%의 높은 과수 감지 정확도와 정밀한 과수 열 맵핑 결과를 보여주었다. 또한, 생성된 지도가 과수원의 구조에 맞춘 자연스러운 자율 주행 경로를 생성하는 데 도움을 주는 것을 확인하였다.

노즐내 난류유동 효과를 고려한 액주 분열 모델의 타당성 연구 (On the Use of the Primary Breakup Model with Integration of Internal-nozzle Turbulence Impact)

  • Although the classic Kelvin-Helmholtz model of aerodynamically driven jet breakup(primary breakup) has been widely employed in engine CFD codes for the last three decades, the model is not generally predictive. This lack of predictive capability points to the likelihood of an incorrect physical basis for the model formulation. As such, there have been more recent spray-model development efforts that incorporate additional sources of jet instability and breakup, including nozzle-generated turbulence and cavitation but predictive capabilities have remained elusive. Meanwhile, it should be noted that modern combustors increasingly operate under low-temperature combustion(LTC) conditions, where ambient densities and aerodynamic forces are much lower than under classical operating conditions. Therefore, further consideration of physical model formulation is needed. The previous literature introduced a new primary atomization modeling approach premised on experimental measurements by the Faeth group, which demonstrate that breakup is governed by nozzle-generated turbulence under low ambient density conditions. In this new modeling approach, termed the KH-Faeth model, two different primary breakup models are combined to allow the hybrid breakup modeling approach, i.e. Kelvin- Helmholtz instability breakup mechanism and turbulence-induced breakup are competed via dominant breakup rate evaluation. In the current work, we implement this hybrid KH-Faeth model within the open-source CFD framework OpenFOAM and validate the model against detailed drop sizing measurements stemming from collaborative experiments between Georgia Tech and Argonne National Laboratory.

COVID-19 백신접종 시작 단계에서 간호사의 백신접종 수용도와 관련 요인 (Nurses' vaccination acceptance and related factors in the initial stage of COVID-19 vaccination in Korea: a cross-sectional study)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors associated with nurses' vaccination acceptance in the initial stage of coronavirus infectious disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination in Korea. Methods: This cross-sectional study collected data from hospital-level or higher medical institutions from May 5 to May 7, 2021 with a total of 368 nurses via an online survey. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify factors associated with vaccination acceptance. Results: The acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination had an average score of 4.28 ± 0.80 out of 7 points. Among the sub-areas of acceptance, the safety of the vaccine exhibited the lowest score (average, 2.80 ± 0.83). The factors related to COVID-19 vaccination acceptance in nurses were age (over 40 compared to under 29) (β = .16, p = .008), experience (more than 11 years compared to under 5) (β = .16, p = .010), the absence of a preferred vaccine (β = -.14, p = .004), and educational background (a master's degree or higher compared to a bachelor's degree or lower) (β = .12, p = .042). Conclusion: In the initial stage of COVID-19 vaccination, nurses believed that the COVID-19 vaccine was important and that people should be vaccinated, but had concerns regarding the safety of the vaccine. Older age, more experience, the absence of a preferred vaccine, and a higher educational background were associated with higher acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination. Therefore, more active education on the necessity and value of vaccination for young people is required at the individual and socio-cultural level, and a sufficient supply of preferred vaccines at the national level is needed.
