주행 안전을 고려한 고속철도 자갈궤도 및 콘크리트궤도 레일패드의 강성 상한 결정 (Determination of Upper Limit of Rail Pad Stiffness for Ballasted and Concrete Track of High-Speed Railway Considering Running Safety)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속철도의 자갈궤도와 콘크리트궤도에서 열차 주행 안전 측면에서 관리해야 할 레일패드 강성의 상한값을 차량 및 궤도의 동특성과 운영환경을 고려하여 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 차량-궤도의 상호작용해석의 중요 입력 파라메타인 궤도틀림과 관련하여 프랑스 및 독일에서 제시한 고저틀림 PSD(파워 스펙트럼 밀도)와 경부고속철도 1단계 구간 자갈궤도 및 콘크리트궤도에서 계측한 고저틀림 자료를 통하여 얻은 PSD를 기초로 하여 넓은 범위의 주파수 영역에서 적용할 수 있는 자갈궤도와 콘크리트궤도의 고저틀림 PSD를 제시하였다. 제시된 PSD 기준 모델을 사용하여 시간 영역에서의 고저틀림 입력을 난수 생성(random number generation)을 통하여 구한 후 차량-궤도 상호작용 해석기법을 사용하여 레일패드 강성에 따른 윤중 감소율을 산정하였다. 산정된 윤중 감소율에 대하여 국내 철도차량 안전기준에 관한 규칙의 탈선계수 규정을 적용하여 주행 안전 측면에서 허용할 수 있는 레일패드 강성의 상한값을 제시하였다.

철도 상하 분리의 현상과 과제에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Current Status and Issues Pertaining to Vertical Separation between Infrastructure and operation of the Korean Railway)

  • 본 연구는 최근 들어 관심이 높아지고 있는 철도구조개혁과 관련하여 2004년 이후부터 추진되어온 우리나라의 철도구조개혁의 주요성과에 대하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 상하 분리의 이론과 유럽 및 일본 등 해외사례 연구를 통해 시사점을 살펴 보았다. 특히 상하 분리를 통한 성과 분석을 중심으로 조사하였으며, 이를 기초로 우리나라에 대한 적용성을 중심으로 살펴 보았다. 또한 우리나라 철도구조개혁방안인 상하분리 정책 목적인 철도사업의 적자해소, 철도투자확대, 운영 효율성향상 등에 대하여 달성여부에 대한 검토와 함께 개선할 점이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 본 논문을 통해 우리나라 철도정책의 확실한 방향제시와 조화로운 정책수행을 위한 협의체 구성 그리고 투자재원마련의 법적 제도화를 제안하였다.

Risk Assessment of a High-Speed Railway Bridge System Based on an Improved Response Surface Method

  • A refined three-dimensional finite element interaction model between the high-speed train and railway bride deck has been developed in the present study. Analytical predictions of vertical deflections for a railway bridge are compared with in-situ test results and a good agreement is achieved. Then, input variables employed in the analytical comparisons are selected as random variables for the limit state functions. followed by risk assessment. For this purpose, a linear adaptive weighted response surface method has been developed and applied. A typical railway bridge has been selected and the limit state functions are employed from UIC and Korean specifications in the comparative studies. The results reveal that Korean specifications give significantly risky reliability indices in comparison with UIC specifications. It is thus encouraged from the above that the present linear adaptive weighted response surface method can be an alternative for the fast estimation of nonlinear structural systems.

  • In the case of the railway bridges, uplift forces were occurred at the edge of the segments when vehicular loads were applied. These forces made the compressive and tensile forces occur in the fastening system. Therefore, the structural analysis was performed to investigate the safety of fastening system which was modeled as one directional spring element. In this case, the stiffness of the spring element was obtained from experimental study which was conducted by compressive load. For that reason, to perform rational and exact structural analysis, the translational stiffness of the fastening system obtained from the experimental study applied the tensile load and the rotational stiffness should be considered because it was occurred the tensile force as well as the compressive force in fastening system. In this study, an elastic and inelastic experimental study was performed for six specimens. The translational stiffness along the vertical axis of rail and the rotational stiffness along the strong axis of rail were investigated. Also structural behavior of the fastening system was analyzed.

  • 모노레일은 그동안 과좌식과 현수식으로 분류 되어 왔으나 세계 최초로 도입한 중앙 안내 방식의 인천 월미은하레일은 신개념의 Y Beam을 가이드 레일로 사용한 새로운 형식의 모노레일이라 할 수 있다. Y Beam은 안내륜을 통해 모노레일의 수평 하중을 전달하는 역할을 담당하고 있기 때문에 수직 하중을 타이어를 통해 전달 받는 콘크리트 바닥 및 강재 Beam과 함께 모노레일의 주행 안전에 없어서는 안 될 가장 중요한 구조물이다. 본 연구에서는 수평 하중을 감당하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 모노레일의 안정과 안내를 함께 보장 하면서 급전선을 지지하는 역할도 동시에 담당하고 있는 Y Beam과 Y Beam을 고정하는 클램프의 특성과 안전성에 대해 고찰하였다.

컨테이너 크레인 붐 구조물의 잔존수명 예측을 위한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 (Computer Simulation for Residual Life Expectancy of a Container Crane Boom Structure)

  • The residual life expectancy of the container crane which has been operated more or less 39 years is examined carefully, especially on the boom structure. The basic load and load combination need to be considered for to analyse the boom structure. Various parts of container crane are modeled for to analyse stress, the deflection and the fatigue. Analysis results show that the boom is stable in the stress and deflection but the boom vertical member is over the fatigue life. The rail support beam and boom bottom chord are approximately near the fatigue life. Analysis results show that the residual life of rail support beam and the boom bottom chord would be 2.2 years and 6.8 years, respectively.

THE VIBRATION MODE OF RAILWAY VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THE CHARACTERISTICS OF MOTION DURING THE OPERATION ON THE TRACK BECAUSE THESE HAPPEN TO INDEPENDENCE OR DUPLICATION MOTION CAUSED BY VEHICLE, WHEEL/RAIL AND TRACK IRREGULARITY ETC. IT IS NAMED AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION THAT THE VIBRATION, WHICH WAS PASSED THE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SUSPENSION, IS AFFECTED TO THE PASSENGER WITHOUT DAMPING. THIS PAPER DESCRIBES AN EXPERIENCE EVALUATION TO FIND THE CAUSE OF AN ABNORMAL VIBRATION WHICH WAS HAPPEN AT OPERATING SPEED 60KPH ZONE DURING THE MAINLINE TEST.

  • The societal interest on a faster transportation demands an increase of the train speed over the current operation speed of 350 km/h. However, the dynamic response in the roadbed of concrete track system subjected to the train speed ranging between 300 to 500 km/h has been systematically investigated. Herein, a series of the 2-dimensional numerical simulations using various train speeds were performed. A single wheel was modeled by the rigid body. The rail was attached to the sleepers via linear springs in parallel. The results show that the vertical displacement at the rail and track concrete layer exponentially increases when the train speed increases over 400 km/h. This conclusion implies an existence of the critical train velocity at which the displacement of the track system dramatically increases.

  • The concrete track was applied for Gyungbu 2nd phase high_speed railroad line as a basic track structure. Two track structures, ballasted track and non_ballasted concrete track, have a different train load transfer mechanisms. However, it's rare to see about research results related with it. So, to understand dynamic response characteristics of the concrete track and roadbed, we measured accelerations of carbody and bogie, vertical and lateral load, stress and displacement of rail, and earth pressures of subgrade at ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$k930 station of Gyungbu high_speed line during speed up tests before opening it. Based on these measured results, we could evaluate the level of dynamic responses of the track quantitatively.

  • Since a derailment of rolling stocks results in huge losses in properties and lives, the measurement of a derailment coefficient is a very important test item to estimate the running safety of rolling stocks. For a measurement of the derailment measurement of forces between the wheel and rail a measuring wheel-set should be made first. The process to make a measuring wheel-set has some stages for correct measurement. They are as follows; a finite element analysis of a wheel to find a position of holes at which vertical force shall be measured, a finite element analysis for the position of strain gauges.
