가변 블록을 고려한 블록 정합 알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on Block Matching Algorithm with Variable-Block Size)

  • A new block matching algorithm that improved the existing block matching algorithm in terms of image quality is proposed in this paper. The subblock of image including the vertical edge of object is subdivided into new two subblocks, and the moving vector found. The result of computer simulation shows on real image that the image quality by the algorithm becomes higher than that of the three step search algorithm by 1.1dB.

  • This paper presents a fast algorithm for face detection from color images on internet. We use Mahalanobis distance between standard skin color and actual pixel color on IQ color space to segment skin color regions. The skin color regions are the candidate face region. Further, the locations of eyes and mouth regions are found by computing average pixel values on horizontal and vertical pixel lines. The geometry of mouth and eye locations is compared to the standard face geometry to eliminate false face regions. Our Method is simple and fast so that it can be applied to face search engine for internet.

  • 본 연구에서는 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 사용편의성에 중점을 두어 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 인터페이스 설계요소인 화면설계와 구조설계 차원에서 수행도 평가와 주관적인 만족도를 실시하였다. 화면설계는 인터넷 쇼핑몰의 상품구조인 대분류, 중분류로 구분되는 메뉴리스트를 선정하였다. 대분류는 위치 요소 3수준(Left, Right, Center), 중분류는 배열형태 2수준(Horizontal, Vertical)으로 분류하였다. 구조설계에서는 상품구매과정을 구성하는 상품검색, 장바구니, 회원확인, 주문처리 등의 4요소의 페이지 흐름방식에 따라 3수준을 선택하였다. 수행도 분석 결과, 화면설계 평가에서는 대분류의 위치가 왼쪽, 중분류에서는 세로배열형태에서 탐색 시간이 적게 소요되었다. 그리고 이러한 두 요소에 대한 주관적 평가에서도 만족도가 높게 나타나 수행도 분석결과를 뒷받침하였다. 구조설계에서는 상품검색과 장바구니 절차 후에 회원확인과 주문처리가 한 화면에서 이루어지는 형태가 구매 절차에 대한 이해용이성 및 편리성에서 만족도가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 상품 검색 후 장바구니, 그 다음으로 회원확인과정을 거친 후 그 다음 화면에서 주문처리과정이 이루어지는 형태가 실물세계와의 유사성에서 만족도가 가장 높게 나타났다.

여현변환 계수를 이용한 이미지 탐색 알고리즘 (A Image Search Algorithm using Coefficients of The Cosine Transform)

  • 내용기반 영상검색은 영상 내의 정보인 색상, 질감, 형태 등의 특징 값을 추출하여 검색에 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 $8{\times}8$ 이산여현변환, 즉 $8{\times}8$ DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) 후 얻어지는 DC, AC계수를 이용하여 필터뱅크(filter-bank)를 생성하고, 이를 영상의 내용기반 검색에 이용하는 검색방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 생성된 DCT 필터뱅크에서 DC성분과 주요한 AC성분인 AC01, AC10, AC11 만을 이용하며, DC성분에 대한 양자화를 수행하여 계산량을 최소화한다. 그리고 양자화된 DC성분에 대한 히스토그램 정보를 기반으로 영상 검색에 필요한 특징 값을 산출한다. AC성분에 대해서는 Otsu 이진화를 통하여 개괄적인 형태정보를 취득한 다음 이에 대한 수평/수직 방향으로의 투영 히스토그램을 계산하여 특징 값을 취득한다. 추출된 AC성분의 특징 값은 DC성분의 특징 값과 함께, 특징벡터 빈(feature vector bins)을 구성하여 검색을 수행한다. 실험은 1000장의 데이터베이스를 이용하여 수행 되었으며, 기존의 색상정보를 이용한 검색방법보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다.

사범계 체육전공 대학생 물구나무서기 동작의 운동학적 분석 (A Kinematics Analysis of Handstand of University Students Majoring in Physical Education)

  • The purpose of the study is to search for the possibility of the application of kinematics analysis to physical education at schools and expand its scope of application. This study chose 9 college students majoring in physical education and classified them into type A group who can make the straight, vertical handstand, type B group whose waist is bent, type C group who cannot handstand completely. The center of mass, distance between hand and leg, and the angle and angular velocity of each joint were obtained. The result of this study is this. 1. The time for CM showed 6:4 for A group and 5:5 for B and C groups. The distance between hand and foot in the event 3 was 44% of the height for A group, and 41% for B and C groups. A Group showed the higher CM positional significant difference, it was vertically direction below the hip joint at front. For significant difference of the B Group showed horizontal and vertical velocity of the CM, the highest vertical was obtained in phase 3. The difference of angle of shoulder join in the flexion/extension was showed gradually extension event 2 and the height angular velocity was at phase 3 in the A group. 2 The analysis of the handstand motion revealed that the phase 3, but the maintenance of posture start part the handstand is also very important. Through these results, this study confirmed that the time for phase of the CM, horizontal and vertical positions, velocity, the distance between hands and foot, and the difference of the angle and angular velocity of hip joint and shoulder joint can be set as the variables of analysis. It was also definite cause that the handstand motions of college students majoring in physical education had many difference in performance.

태스크와 서브메쉬의 유형별 분류에 기반한 서브메쉬 할당방법 (A Submesh Allocation Scheme Based on Classification of Tasks and Submeshes)

  • 본 논문에서는 메쉬 구조 다중컴퓨터 시스템을 위한 새로운 서브메쉬 할당방법을 제안한다. 이 할당방법의 특징은 유형별 가용 서브메쉬 리스트를 사용하여 가용 서브메쉬의 탐색시간을 줄이는 것이다. 이 할당방법은 메쉬 구조에서 탐색한 독립 가용 서브메쉬들을 유형(정방형, 가로 직사각형, 세로 직사각형)에 따라 분류하여 유형별 가용 서브메쉬 리스트를 생성한다. 그리고 태스크의 유형과 동일한 유형별 가용 서브메쉬 리스트에서 먼저 최적의 서브메쉬를 찾음으로써 서브메쉬의 탐색시간을 줄인다. 만약 가용 서브메쉬를 찾지 못할 경우에는 각 독립 가용 서브메쉬의 속성으로 저장된 확장지수를 사용하여 서브메쉬의 크기를 확장한 후 최적의 가용 서브메쉬를 찾는다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 본 논문에서 제안하는 서브메쉬 할당방법이 서브메쉬 탐색시간을 줄이는 면에서 기존의 할당방법에 비해 우수함을 보인다.

고속전철의 와전류 제동장치 동적 최적화 연구 (An Optimization of Dynamic Elements for Eddy Current Braking System of High Speed Train)

  • Dynamic behavior of high speed train is very important because the high speed train should be safe and satisfied with the ride comfort. An eddy current brake system is mounted on trailer bogie and wheelset. The eddy current braking force longitudinally exerts on the articulated trailer bogie and the attraction force vertically exerts on the wheelset. Because a frame of eddy current brake system is flexible, these forces generate the vertical vibration at middle point of the frame. Also, the vibration change the vertical clearance between an electromagnet and top of rail which affect the magnitude of braking and attracting forces. Therefore, the dynamic behavior of the eddy current braking system must be predicted for design the dynamic characteristic of its mounting system when normally operate on rail which have irregularity. Vampire program is used for prediction of the dynamic behavior of an eddy current braking system. Five design variables and five performance index are considered for optimization through D-optimal experimental design in this paper. Also model center is used to search the optimal point for sum of performance index with variational matric method.

시각작업의 배경 조건과 8개 Meridian을 고려한 시각영역의 생성 (Generation of Visual Field Considering 8 Meridians and Background Conditions of Visual Tasks)

  • Among numerous factors that have an effect on visual field, the effects of background condition on the size of the visual field were investigated to obtain more practical visual field that can be readily applicable to industrial settings. A visual experiment was conducted, in which the subject was instructed to search a target with distinct orientations. Size contrast, meridian, nontarget density, and subject's gender showed a significant effect on the size of the visual field at $\alpha=0.01$. The size of the visual field was linearly proportional to size contrast, and inversely proportional to density. Female's visual fields were found to be significantly larger than male subjects', The size of the visual field on horizontal axis was larger than that on vertical axis, and the size of the head & eye field on right meridian was also larger than that on left meridian. The shape was found to be horizontally oriented oval and statistically asymmetric with respect to horizontal and vertical axes. The regression equations to predict the visual fields on the given background condition were suggested. The visual fields suggested in this study would be valuable to the design of visual displays and the panel layout of various displays and controls.

배경조건에 따른 Visual Field에서의 Stationary Field의 변화

  • Depending upon the eye and head movement, the visual field is often classified into three categories; stationary field, eye field and head field. To investigate the effect of background condition on the size of stationary field, an experiment was conducted, in which the subject was instructed to search a target with distinct orientations. In each trial, a single target was presented on the rear-view screen projected by the two-field tachistoscope, with the visual angle subtended 4.3.deg. vertically and horizontally. Density, meridian and subject showed a significant effect on stationary field at .alpha.=0.01, where density was inversely proportional to the size of stationary field. The size of the stationary field on horizontal axis was larger than that on vertical axis, and that on right and below meridian also larger than on left and lower meridian. The shape was found to be horizontally oriented oval and statistically asymmetric with respect to horizontal and vertical axes. The regression equation to predict stationary field on the given background condition was suggested. These results were expected to be used as a designing guideline when arranging displays and controls on panels such as automobile display panels, cockpits, etc. In addition, it can be inferred from the results that eye field and head field are also subjected to the influence of background condition.
