한국형 전투기(KF-X) AESA 레이다 개발 검증을 위한 점진적인 시험평가 전략 (Progressive Test and Evaluation Strategy for Verification of KF-X AESA Radar Development)

  • This paper describes a progressive test and evaluation strategy for verification of Korean Fighter eXperimental (KF-X) AESA(Active Electronically Scanned Array) radar development. Three progressive stages of development test and evaluation were officially performed from simulated test conditions to actual operating conditions according to standards: radar function/performance and avionics integration. KF-X AESA radar development is repeatedly verified by progressive stages consisting of five tests: Roof-lab ground test, System Integration Laboratory(SIL) ground test, Flying Test Bed(FTB) test, KF-X ground test, and KF-X flight test. As a result, the risk factor decreases as stages and tests progress. Therefore, development test and evaluation of KF-X AESA radar are successfully performed at low development risk.

탄성파 진행 문제를 위한 Paraxial 경계조건의 유한요소해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Finite Element Analysis with Paraxial Boundary Conditions for Elastic Wave Propagation)

  • For the propagation of elastic waves in unbounded domains, absorbing boundary conditions at the fictitious numerical boundaries have been proposed. Paraxial boundary conditions(PBCs) which are kinds of absorbing boundary conditions based on paraxial approximations of the scalar and elastic wave equations not only lead to well-posed problem but also are stable and computationally inexpensive. But the complex mathematical forms of PBCs with partial derivatives complicate the application of those to finite element analysis. In this paper a penalty functional is newly proposed for applying PBCs into finite element analysis and the existence and uniqueness of the extremum of the proposed functional is demonstrated. The numerical verification of the efficiency is carried out through comparing PBCs with a viscous boundary condition.

이종재 막찰용접 이음부에서의 초음파 반사계수와 용접조건과의 관계 (The Relationship between Welding Conditions and Ultrasonic Reflection Coefficients of Dissimilar Metals Friction Welded Joints)

  • Friction welding has emerged as a reliable process for high-production commercial applications with significant economic and technical advantages. But nondestructive test in friction weld was not clearly developed. Therefore the experimental verification is necessary in order to understand the characteristcs of the pulse echo effects according to various change in welding conditions. This paper presents an attempt to determine the relationship between the varios welding conditions and the coefficients of reflection using the ultrasonic pulse echo method in dissibilar metals friction weld. The new approach of calculating the coefficients of reflection based on measured amplitudes of the echoes is applied in this paper. These coefficients provides a single quantitative measurement which involves both acoustic energy reflected at the welded interface as well as transmitted across the interface. As a result, it was known that the quantitave relationship between welding conditions and the coefficients of reflection using the ultrasonic pulse echo exists in dissimilar metals friction weld.

필기의 구조적 표현에 의한 온라인 자동 서명 검증 기법 (A Technique for On-line Automatic Signature Verification based on a Structural Representation)

  • 온라인 서명검증을 위해서는 서명의 국부적인 형태가 중요한 판단 근거가 된다. 함수적 접근이나 매개변수적 접근과 같은 지금까지의 접근방법은 서명을 시간에 대한 함수로 나타내거나, 특징집합으로 표현함으로써, 서명의 국부적인 모양을 무시한 채로 서명검증에서 유용한 요소로 사용될 수 있는 국부적인 모양에서의 다양한 특징, 국부적인 모양의 변화, 형태의 복잡성 등을 사용하지 않았다. 이 논문에서는 서명을 구성 형태에 근거한 구조적인 표현 방법으로 나타내어 서명의 국부적인 모양의 분석과 중요한 부분에 대한 선택적인 사용이 가능한 새로운 접근방식의 서명 검증 기법을 제시하였다. 즉, 서명의 구조적 표현에 근거하여 국부적 가중치 적용방법과 진위판단을 위한 임계치의 개인별 차등화 방법을 고안하였고, 이에 대한 실험결과를 분석하였다.

무인항공기용 비행자료 기록장치 소프트웨어 설계 및 검증 방안 (Software Design and Verification Method of Flight Data Recorder for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • 무인항공기 사고 발생 시 사후 조사를 위한 비행자료 기록장치는 항공기 추락에 따른 극한환경에 노출된 후 비행자료를 정상 복원할 수 있도록 EUROCAE(European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment)의 ED-112 규격을 준수하여야 한다. ED-112 규격은 유인항공기를 포함한 모든 항공기의 일반적인 요구사항을 규정하고 있기 때문에 특정 플랫폼의 형상 및 운용개념에 따라 적합한 설계 요구사항을 선택적으로 적용하여야 하므로 소프트웨어에 대한 세부 요구사항 분석이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 무인항공기에 적합한 소프트웨어 요구사항을 분석하고 이를 고려한 비행자료 기록장치 소프트웨어의 설계 방안을 제안한다. 또한 구현된 소프트웨어가 모든 요구사항을 고려하여 설계되었는지 확인하기 위한 각 요구사항에 대한 소프트웨어 검증 방안을 제시한다.

함정 전투체계 함상시험을 위한 지원장비 설계 및 검증 연구 (A Study on the Design and Verification-Validation of the Supportive Equipment for Shipyard Test of Naval Combat System)

  • The Shipyard Test of Naval Combat System depends on external factors, such as weather conditions and availability of its sensor-weapon, due to the need of on-board sensor-weapon during the test. This paper suggests the Supportive Equipment using virtual simulator for Shipward Test, in case of the unavailability of the on-board sensor-weapon or the test support force(aircraft, surface ship etc.), to pre-check the functions of the combat system as well as to prepare the Shipyard Test. To mock the real sensor-weapon functions as similar as possible, the Supportive Equipment for Shipyard Test was verified by the Verification and Validation process, which is usually performed while developing models in the Modeling & Simulation field.

  • 본 논문은 실험적 고찰을 통해 고주파 전송선 회로의 시그널 인테그러티를 정확하게 검증하는 방법을 제시하였다. 패키지 공정을 이용하여 제조한 배선의 공정편차, 표면 거칠기 효과, 표피 효과, 시뮬레이션을 위한 경계조건 등은 시뮬레이션의 정확도에 상당한 영향을 끼친다. 이러한 영향을 장해석기(HFSS)에 적용할 수 있는 변수로 변환하여 보다 정확하게 시그널 인테그러티를 검증 할 수 있도록 한다. 단일 신호선과 두 개의 전자기적으로 결합된 신호선에서의 신호 천이 특성을 측정 데이터와 제안하는 방법의 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교를 통해 제안한 방법의 정확성을 검증하였다.

시험공간에 대한 난방부하 실증실험 및 계산 (Verification Experiment and Calculation of Heating Load for a Test Space)

  • As a way to assess the reliability of programs for building energy analysis, verification experiment and calculation of heating load are simultaneously conducted for a well-defined test space. Experimental conditions are carefully set to minimize uncertainties associated with radiation heating, air change, infiltration, and room-to-room interaction. Dyna- mic load calculations using TRNSYS, which are performed for two different computation domains, rely on the energy rate control that represents inherent load characteristics of a space. The predicted instantaneous heating load favorably simulates the overall behavior the measured one, though the latter fluctuates much more rapidly than the former Comparison of the accumulative load between the experiment and calculations shows a close agreement within an engineering tolerance, regardless of the computation model. It is deduced from such findings that the present experimental results along with weather information can serve as a set of reference data for validating load calculation softwares from the users'standpoint. In order to enhance the completeness of this work, a complementary study on the cooling load for the same test space is highly recommended.

On-Line Linear Combination of Classifiers Based on Incremental Information in Speaker Verification

  • A novel multiclassifier system (MCS) strategy is proposed and applied to a text-dependent speaker verification task. The presented scheme optimizes the linear combination of classifiers on an on-line basis. In contrast to ordinary MCS approaches, neither a priori distributions nor pre-tuned parameters are required. The idea is to improve the most accurate classifier by making use of the incremental information provided by the second classifier. The on-line multiclassifier optimization approach is applicable to any pattern recognition problem. The proposed method needs neither a priori distributions nor pre-estimated weights, and does not make use of any consideration about training/testing matching conditions. Results with Yoho database show that the presented approach can lead to reductions in equal error rate as high as 28%, when compared with the most accurate classifier, and 11% against a standard method for the optimization of linear combination of classifiers.

Development of Fault Location Algorithm and Its Verification Experiments for HVDC Submarine Cables

  • A new fault location algorithm based on stationary wavelet transform and its verification experiment results are described for HVDC submarine cables in this paper. For wavelet based fault location algorithm, firstly, 4th level approximation coefficients decomposed by wavelet transform function are superimposed by correlation, then the distance to the fault point is calculated by time delay between the first incident signal and the second reflected signal. For the verification of this algorithm, the real experiments based on various fault conditions and return types of fault current are performed at HVDC submarine cable test yard located in KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) Power Testing Center of South Korea. It proves that the fault location method proposed in this paper is very simple but very quick and accurate for HVDC submarine cable fault location.
