Applicability of VariousInterpolation Approaches for High Resolution Spatial Mapping of Climate Data in Korea (남한 지역 고해상도 기후지도 작성을 위한 공간화 기법 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to build a new dataset of spatially interpolated climate data of South Korea by performing various geo-statistical interpolation techniques for comparison with the LDAPS grid data of KMA. Among 595 observation data in 2017, 80 % of the total points and remaining 117 points were used for spatial mapping and quantification,respectively. IDW, cokriging, and kriging were performed via the ArcGIS10.3.1 software and Python3.6.4, and each result was then divided into three clusters and four watersheds for statistical verification. As a result, cokriging produced the most suitable grid climate data for instantaneous temperature. For 1-hr accumulated precipitation, IDW was most suitable for expressing local rainfall effects.

Development of Web-based Off-site Consequence Analysis Program and its Application for ILRT Extension (격납건물종합누설률시험 주기연장을 위한 웹기반 소외결말분석 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • For an off-site consequence analysis at nuclear power plant, MELCOR Accident Consequence Code System(MACCS) II code is widely used as a software tool. In this study, the algorithm of web-based off-site consequence analysis program(OSCAP) using the MACCS II code was developed for an Integrated Leak Rate Test (ILRT) interval extension and Level 3 probabilistic safety assessment(PSA), and verification and validation(V&V) of the program was performed. The main input data for the MACCS II code are meteorological, population distribution and source term information. However, it requires lots of time and efforts to generate the main input data for an off-site consequence analysis using the MACCS II code. For example, the meteorological data are collected from each nuclear power site in real time, but the formats of the raw data collected are different from each site. To reduce the efforts and time for risk assessments, the web-based OSCAP has an automatic processing module which converts the format of the raw data collected from each site to the input data format of the MACCS II code. The program also provides an automatic function of converting the latest population data from Statistics Korea, the National Statistical Office, to the population distribution input data format of the MACCS II code. For the source term data, the program includes the release fraction of each source term category resulting from modular accident analysis program(MAAP) code analysis and the core inventory data from ORIGEN. These analysis results of each plant in Korea are stored in a database module of the web-based OSCAP, so the user can select the defaulted source term data of each plant without handling source term input data.

  • Three-dimensional total station system which integrated the instrument with Target Pin and TEMS 3D software developed by SKEC R&D center was applied to a tunnel excavation for monitoring of convergence and crown settlement. The efficiency of the system was proved as the result in the aspects of exact monitoring and prediction of rock conditions ahead of the face. To monitor the behavior of tunnel lining at the maintenance stage, DOCS system was applied to the subway tunnel section. Such many effects as the vibration of sensors, verification of the system efficiency, the effect of test trains operation, the variation of temperature and the effect of high voltage was checked. Thus the management scheme for tunnel maintenance was laid out as a proposal.

소형위성 ETB에서의 전력계 기능시험

  • 위성을 발사하기 전까지는 지상에서 EGSE(Electrical Ground Support Equipment)를 이용하여 충분한 시스템 단위의 위성체 기능 시험을 수행한다. KOMPSAT-2(Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite - 2)와 같은 소형 위성의 서브시스템 각각이 요구사항에서 제시하는 규격을 만족하는지 여부를 점검하는 단계에서 전력계 관련 서브시스템의 기능 시험도 EPS(Electrical Power Subsystem) Test Plan에 의해 순차적으로 수행한다. KOMPSAT-2 ETB(Engineering Test Bed)에서의 전력계 시험은 먼저 Test Fuse Modules Check를 수행하였다. 퓨즈 모듈은 PCU(Power Control Unit) 상에 설치되어 있는 장치로써 퓨즈 모듈의 입력과 출력 사이에 도통성 및 다른 출력과의 절연성을 검증한다. 다음으로 EGSE 중 PMTS(Power Monitor Test Set)와 PCU와의 직렬 인터페이스를 점검하는 PCU Interface Check를 수행하였다 시험절차서에 따라 PCU가 가지는 릴레이 스위치에 대하여 명령어를 보내어 릴레이의 동작 상태 및 출력 전압 등을 점검한다. 다음 단계에서는 DC Integration을 수행하여 ETB 하니스 중 전원 관련 라인을 점검하였다 PCU는 모든 위성체 하드웨어에 전력을 공급하는 장비로써 과전력으로부터 하드웨어를 보호하기 위하여 하니스를 연결하기 전에 우선적으로 시험한다. 다음으로는 ECU(EPS Control Unit)가 각각에 해당하는 하드웨어에 명령어를 보내어 전력계 전체적인 동작 상태 검증하는 EPS Hardware Command & Telemetry Checkout을 수행하였다. ECU는 전력계의 모든 하드웨어를 제어하고 그 상태를 모니터링하는 기능을 한다. PCU와의 인터페이스를 통하여 전력의 제어 및 분배에 관련되는 특성을 제어 및 모니터하며 DDC(Deploy Device Controller)는 ECU로부터 명령어를 받아서 arm 및 safe 상태에 대한 텔리 메트리 데이터를 제공한다 그리고, SAR(Solar Array Regulator)는 ECU로부터 Bypass Relay 및 ARM Relay에 관한 명령어를 받아 수행되며 그에 따른 텔리 메트리 데이터를 제공한다. 마지막으로 EPS 소프트웨어를 검증하는 EPS Software Verification을 수행하였다 전력계 소프트웨어의 설계의 검증 부분은 현재 설계 제작된 전력계 .소프트웨어의 동작 특성 이 위성 의 전체 운용개념과 연계하여 전력계 소프트웨어가 전력계 및 위성체의 요구조건을 만족시키는지를 확인하는데 있다. 전력계 운용 소프트웨어는 배터리의 충ㆍ방전을 효율적으로 관리해 3년의 임무 기간동안 위성체에 전력을 공급할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다

An Experiment for Determining Threshold of Defect Prediction Models using Object Oriented Metrics (객체지향 메트릭을 이용한 결함 예측 모형의 임계치 설정에 관한 실험)

  • To support an efficient management of software verification and validation activities, many defect prediction models have been proposed based on object oriented metrics. In order to apply defect prediction models, we need to determine a threshold value. Because we cannot know actually where defects are, it is difficult to determine threshold. Therefore, we performed a series of experiments to explore the issue of determining a threshold. In the experiments, we applied defect prediction models to other systems different from the system used in building the prediction model. Specifically, we have applied three models - Olague model, Zhou model, and Gyimothy model - to four different systems. As a result, we found that the prediction capabilities varied considerably with a chosen threshold value. Therefore, we need to perform a study on the determination of an appropriate threshold value to improve the applicably of defect prediction models.

  • In this paper, an extend kalman filter based relative navigation algorithm is proposed for Link-K based relative navigation. Link-K is a tactical data link system for joint operation capability upgrade of ROK forces. Link-K is inter-operable with Link-16 and transmit and received information of operations and target. In Link-K communication channel, PPLI message including transmitter position and TOA measurement can be used for relative navigation. Therefore Link-K based relative navigation system can be operated. In this paper, software based simulations were carried out for operational feasibility test and performance verification as error factors of proposed Link-K based relative navigation system.

  • Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) -A/90, which is a standard for terrestrial data transmission in Korea, defines synchronized data that has a strong timing association with a separate Program Element. It is classified as synchronized streaming data that is carried in packetized elementary stream (PES) packets or a synchronized non-streaming data that shall be carried in digital storage media command and control (DSM-CC) section. In this paper, we study the design and verification of synchronized streaming data processing algorithm based on ATSC -A/90. We designed a parser and a player for the algorithm development. The received PES packet including synchronized streaming data is parsed in the parser. The parsed synchronized streaming data is synchronized and displayed by player. Finally, we ascertained that STB was working properly with MPEG-2 transport stream (TS) containing synchronized streaming data, as the proposed algorithm is implemented on a set-top box.

Contactless Biometric Using Thumb Image (엄지손가락 영상을 이용한 비접촉식 바이오인식)

  • Recently, according to the limelight of Fintech, simple payment using biometric at smartphone is widely used. In this paper, we propose a new contactless biometric method using thumb image without additional sensors unlike previous biometrics such as fingerprint, iris, and vein recognition. In our method, length, width, and skin texture information are used as features. For that, illumination normalization, skin region segmentation, size normalization and alignment procedures are sequentially performed from the captured thumb image. Then, correlation coefficient is calculated for similarity measurement. To analyze recognition accuracy, genuine and imposter matchings are performed. At result, we confirmed the FAR of 1.68% at the FRR of 1.55%. In here, because the distribution of imposter matching is almost normal distribution, our method has the advantage of low FAR. That is, because 0% FAR can be achieved at the FRR of 15%, the proposed method is enough to 1:1 matching for payment verification.

  • In this paper, we propose a framework which supports the simple development cycle based on Distributed System using IPO(Input-Process-Output) model. In our proposed framework, once a single class with Input, Process and Output functions is developed, it can be executed like a single application in both presentation layer and middle layer of a distributed system. Our proposed Framework removes dependency on distributed system and makes development cycle decreased from Develop-Build-Deploy-Test cycle to Develop-Test cycle when application programs is developed. The verification of productivity and performance is performed by comparing our Framework with distributed system or lightweight Framework. The results show high productivity due to the considerable amount of reduction in lines of source code and reduction in dependency on distributed system, and show stabler performance than lightweight framework.

  • In general, such ground based methods are utilized to validate maneuvering and attitude control logics of a spacecraft by a simulation with a flight software at a design phase and a integrated function test with actual hardwares at a system level. Recently, varification researches using operating simulators are getting increase using compact and precise components under a ground condition. The present paper investigates and summarized the development trend of cold gas propulsion systems for the spacecraft simulators and their major performance characteristics to derive fundamental data which are necessary for a conceptual design of the simulator.
