음향해석을 이용한 산업용 플랜트 배출 소음기의 설계 개선 (A Design Improvement of the Vent Silencer of the Industrial Plants Using Acoustic Analysis)

  • This study focuses on a performance improvement of the vent silencer using acoustic analysis. Since the vent silencer is generally used for a high level shock noise, it should be designed to reduce a wide frequency band noise. In the designing stage of the vent silencer, structural shapes of diffuser and splitter are the most significant design parameters. Effects of modifying the original structure of the diffuser and the splitter are analyzed and evaluated. From the results, It is found that the diffuser with two pipes and double-step structure more effectively reduces a wide frequency band noise but the increment of the number of splitters is not desirable.

실내 가스 폭발시 폭발압력 방출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Explosion Relief Venting in the Gas Explosion)

  • This study aims to find the safe vent area to prevent a destruction of building by gas explosion in a building. Explosion vessel which used in this experiment is 1/5 scale down model of simple livingroom and its dimension is 100cm in length 60cm in width and 45cm in height. Liquified petroleum gas(LPG) was injected to the vessel to the concentration of 4.5vol%, and injection rate were varied in 1L/min or 4L/min. Gas mixture was ignited by the 10kV electric spark. For analysis the characteristics of vented explosion pressure according to the vent size and vent shape, its size and shape were varied. From the experiment, it was found that explosion pressure in the vented explosion :in affected by the gas injection rate, vent area and vent shape. And the vent area to volume ratio(S/V) to prevent the building destruction by explosion pressure, it is recommended that the design of vent area happened by the explosion should be above 1/500cm in S/V. And if the vent area has complicate structure in same area, vented explosion pressure will be higher than a single vent, and possibility of building destruction will increase. Therefore to effectively vent the explosion pressure for protect a building and residents from the gas explosion hazards, the same vent area should have a singular and constant shape in the cross-sectional area of the vessel.

  • It is difficult to install a ventilation window on the roof of single span greenhouse of arch shape. Investigation on the roof ventilation structure for those greenhouses was conducted. The effect of roof ventilation was evaluated by comparative experiments between greenhouse installing roof vent and having controlled side vent only. And ventilation efficiency was analyzed by experiments on the opening and closing operation of the roof and side vent.

박과작물 재배 단동 비닐하우스의 천장 환기시스템 설치 실태조사 (A field survey on roof ventilation system of single-span plastic greenhouse in cucurbitaceae vegetable cultivation)

  • This research was conducted to obtain the basic information for establishment of standard guidelines in the design and installation of roof ventilation system in single-span plastic greenhouse. To achieve this, the greenhouse structure & characteristics, cultivation status, and ventilation system were investigated for single-span greenhouse with roof ventilation system cultivating the Cucurbitaceae vegetables, watermelon, cucumber, and oriental melon. Most of single-span watermelon greenhouse in Haman and Buyeo area were a hoop-style and the ventilation system in those greenhouses mostly consisted of two different types of 'roof vent (circular or chimney type) + side vent (hole) + fan' and 'roof vent (circular type) + side vent (hole or roll-up type)'. The diameter of circular and chimney-type vent was mostly 60cm and the average number of vents was 10.5 per a bay with vent spacing of average 6.75m. The ratio of roof vent area to floor area and side vent area in the single-span watermelon greenhouse with ventilation fan were 0.46% and 7.6%, respectively. The single-span cucumber greenhouse in Haman and Changnyeong area were a gable roof type, such as even span, half span, three quarter and the 70.6% of total investigated single-span greenhouses was equipped with a roof ventilation fan while 58.8% had a circulation fan inside the greenhouse. The ratios of roof vent area to floor area in the single-span cucumber greenhouse ranged from 0.61 to 0.96% and in the case of the square roof vent, were higher than that of the circular type vent. On average, the roof ventilation fan in single-span cucumber greenhouse was equipped with the power input of 210W and maximum air volume of $85.0m^3/min$, and the number of fans was 9.75 per a bay. The number of roof vent of single-span oriental melon greenhouse with only roll-up type side vent ranged from 8 to 21 (average 14.8), which was higher than that of other Cucurbitaceae vegetables while the vent number of the greenhouse with a roof ventilation fan was average 7 per a bay.

  • Recently, use of composite materials has been increasing for body structures and chassis parts in the car industry because of weight reduction effect and excellent mechanical thermal characteristics. However, application of composite materials in brake system is very difficult because it is hard to obtain enough brake performance due to low heat storage capacity of the composite materials. In this paper, we will present new carbon ceramic composite disc with high flow characteristic. To obtain this characteristic, new vent structures were designed by using ARIZ method and substance-field model analysis. The flow effect of these vent structures on the brake performance was verified by pugh matrix and cooling test. The test results show improvement of cooling performance up to $30^{\circ}C$. Finally, These results will improve brake the reliability of the brake performance for the high performance vehicles and electric vehicles.

  • Domestic automobile companies have adopted drum type brake system for commercial vehicles. However recently those companies have been applying disc-brake system to solve vehicle control-instability and inefficient heat discharge performance of conventional drum brake system for a medium commercial vehicle. Because the kinetic energy of a running commercial vehicle is relatively high, the brake system should discharge lots of heat energy while braking. A ventilated type brake disc has been used to increase heat discharge performance of a brake system. The vent structure of a disc highly affects cooling efficiency. This paper compares thermal characteristics of three types of vent structure in JASO C421 braking condition. It is found that the slant bend type disc has the lowest temperature and thermal stress distributions in the braking condition.

  • In order to establish detailed plans for fire protection and reduce the possible fire accidents in the future, a study on the shock wave caused by VCE(Vapor Cloud Explosion) is very important. Destruction phenomena of structure by gas explosion is due to the explosion pressure and heat. Explosion pressure is a kind of energy converted from the gas mixture explosion. Therefore, the propagation progress of shock wave and flame is very important. This study investigated the shock wave caused by VCE in enclosure with opened vent port. From a result, the vent port of top at the straight line of ignition and leak location was opened most rapidly, and the vertical vent port not opened.

  • 터보샤프트 엔진을 장착한 스마트무인기의 연료시스템을 설계하였다. 개념설계 단계의 설계방법을 기초로 하여 비행체의 상세설계가 진행되면서 기체구조설계로부터 도출된 탱크 배치와 구성설계를 하였다. 또한 연료시스템의 상세설계에 필요한 비행체 및 엔진의 데이터를 도출하여 연료시스템의 주요 구성요소인 연료공급계통, 연료탱크 벤트계통, 그리고 급유계통의 상세 설계를 수행하였다.
