실험 및 CFD에 의한 가이드베인 개도에 따른 소형 튜블러 수차의 성능특성 (Performance Characteristics of Small Tubular-type Hydroturbine according to the Guide Vane Opening Angle by Experiment and CFD)

  • As the alternative energy, renewable energy should have been developing by many techniques, in order to substitute the fossil fuel which will be disappeared in the near future. One of the small hydropower generator, main concept of tubular turbine is based on using the different water pressure levels in pipe lines, energy which was initially wasted by using a reducing valve at the end of the pipeline, is collected by turbine in the hydro power generator. A propeller shaped hydro turbine has been used in order to use this renewable pressure energy in order to acquire basic design data of tubular type hydraulic turbine, output power, head, efficiency characteristics due to the guide vane opening angle are examined in detail. First, it ensures the reliance of CFD by that of compared with experiment data. After all, the results of performance characteristics of the CFD and experiment show to confirm the data that power, head and efficiency of less than 4%, 2% and 5% respectively. Moreover influences of pressure, tangential and axial velocity distributions on turbine performance are investigated.

2차유동이 평판후류의 난류구조에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Secondary Flow on the Turbulence Structure of a Flat Plate Wake)

  • The effects of secondary flow on the structure of a turbulent wake generated by a flat plate was investigated experimentally. The secondary flow was induced In a $90^{\circ}$ curved duct in which the flat plate wake generator was installed. The wake generator was installed in such a way that the wake velocity gradient exists in the span wise direction of the curved duct. Measurements were made in the plane containing the mean radius of curvature where pressure gradient and curvature effects were small compared with the secondary flow effect. All six components of the Reynolds stresses were measured in the curved duct. Turbulence intensities in the curved wake are higher than those in the straight wake due to an increase of the turbulent kinetic energy production by the secondary flow. In the inner wake region, shear stress and strain in the plane containing the velocity gradient of the wake show opposite signs with respect to each other, so that eddy viscosity Is negative in this region. This indicates that gradient-diffusion type turbulence models are not appropriate to simulate this type of flow.

  • Fuel oil consumption cost varies depending on every ship operation and this roughly amounts to 70 % of shipping companies' total revenue. As such, efforts towards improved fuel economy are being pursued. An annual 1 % reduction in fuel consumption is perceived to result in saving tens million US dollars on the global fleet operation. One approach is the application of power take-off configurations which are seen to increase fuel oil economy and are suitable for power generation. In this study, the dynamic properties of a shaft generator coupled on a 10S90ME main engine of an 18 600 TEU container vessel is presented. The vibratory torque and angular velocity variation was examined through theoretical analysis and actual vibration measurement. The result of the study suggests a review on existing classification rules for generator design and the lowering of vibratory torque and angular velocity variation guideline.

  • 본 연구에서는 Coil Spring과 Viscous Damper 시스템의 동특성 분석을 위한 특성실험을 수행하였다. Coil Spring과 Viscous Damper 시스템은 원자력발전소 비상디젤발전기의 진동저감 및 지진력 저감을 위한 장치로 선정되었다. Viscous Damper 가진 속도에 따라서 그 특성이 다르게 나타나기 때문에 그 영향을 평가하여 진동저감과 지진력 저감효과를 동시에 고려할 수 있는 장치로서의 성능을 평가하고자 하는 것이다. 실험결과 수평방향의 경우 속도의존 비선형 거동이 두드러지게 나타나고 있는 반면 연직방향은 그러한 특성이 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 강성과 감쇠 모두 설계값보다 고평가 되고 있는 것으로 나타나서 전체 시스템의 면진 및 진동저감시 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

생체모방형 수중 다관절 로봇의 추진력 제어를 위한 유영 패턴 재생성 (Modified Swimming Pattern to Control Propulsive Force for Biomimetic Underwater Articulated Robot)

  • For articulated swimming robots, there have been no researches about controlling the motion or trajectory following. A control method for articulated swimming robot is suggested by extending a previous algorithm, ESPG (Extended Swimming Pattern Generator). The control method focuses on the situation that continuous pre-determined swimming pattern is applied for long range travelling. In previous studies, there has not been a way to control the propulsive force when a swimming pattern created by ESPG was in progress. Hence, no control could be made unless the swimming pattern was completed even though an error occurred while the swimming pattern was in progress. In order to solve this problem, this study analyzes swimming patterns and suggests a method to control the propulsive force even while the swimming pattern was in progress. The angular velocity of each link is influenced and this eventually modifies the propulsive force. However, The angular velocity is changed, a number of problems can occur. In order to resolve this issue, phase compensation method and synchronization method were suggested. A simple controller was designed to confirm whether the suggested methods are able to control and a simulation has affirmed it. Moreover, it was applied to CALEB 10 (a biomimetic underwater articulated robot) and the result was verified.

차량 주행시 진동에너지 하베스팅을 위한 현가장치 선형 발전기 시스템의 설계 (Design of Resonance Linear Electric Generator System for Vibration Energy Harvesting in Vehicle Suspension)

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차가 노면을 주행 시 발생되는 진동에너지를 수집하여 차량의 배터리를 자가 충전할 수 있는 현가장치에 적용 가능한 공진형 선형 발전시스템을 설계하였다. 논문에서 제안된 선형 발전기는 기존의 발전기들과는 달리, 비교적 작은 에너지 원천인 노면의 진동에 더욱 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 공진 현상을 최대한 활용하는 설계를 지향했으며, 한정된 공간인 차량 현가장치에서의 선형 발전기의 발전 효과 검증 및 향후 연구 진행의 가능성을 판단하기 위해 수치해석적 방법을 활용하여 시스템의 동적 해석을 위한 기본 입력 속도를 도출하고 시스템의 목표인 발전 기능에 대한 예측을 위해 전자기 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 정상적인 발전 기능의 가능성을 확인한 공진형 선형 발전 시스템이 최근 자동차 산업의 큰 주축을 이루고 있는 하이브리드형 자동차 및 전기 자동차에 적용된다면, 각종 전장장치 및 배터리의 구동 및 성능유지에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

와동 발생기 높이 변화에 대한 경계층 내의 유동장과 온도장에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study of the Interaction Between the Flow rind Temperature Field and a Boundary Layer Due to a Variety of tole Height of a Vortex Generator)

  • The effects of the interaction between the flow and temperature field and a boundary layer due to a variety of the height of a vortex generator are experimentally investigated. The test facility consists of a boundary-layer wind tunnel with the vortex generator protruding from the bottom surface. In order to control the strength of the longitudinal vortices, the angle of attack and the spacing distance of the vortex generator are 20 degree and 40 mm, respectively. The height of the vortex generator (H) is 15 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm and the cord length of it is 50 mm. Three-component mean velocity measurements are made using a 5-hole probe system and the surface temperature distribution is measured by the hue capturing method using thermochromatic liquid crystals. By using the method mentioned above, the following conclusions are obtained from the present experiment. The boundary layer is thinned in the downwash region where the strong downflow and the lateral outflow of the boundary layer fluid occur and thickened in the upwash re,3ion where the longitudinal vortex sweeps low momentum fluid away from the bottom surface. In case that the height of the vortex generator increases, the averaged circulation and the maximum vorticity of the vortex pair decrease. The contours of the non-dimensional temperature show the similar trends fur all the cases (H=15 mm, 20 mm and 30 mm). The peak augmentation of the distribution of the local non-dimensional temperature occurs in the downwash region near the point of minimum boundary-layer thickness.

배열회수보일러(HRSG)의 입구유동 경계조건에 따른 유동특성 변화에 관한 연구 (A Numerical Analysis of Flow Characteristics in a Heat Recovery Steam Generator with the Change of Inlet Flow Conditions)

  • 본 연구는 배열회수보일러(HRSG)에서의 유동특성을 유동수치해석을 통하여 분석하였다. HRSG 입구영역은 가스터빈 후류의 출구에 해당하고 가스터빈 후류는 강한 선회 및 난류 유동이다. 따라서 HRSG 입구 유동은 가스 터빈 출구 유동 특성이 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 HRSG 입구 유동 경계조건을 가스터빈 출구 유동 해석을 통하여 도출된 결과를 이용하였다. 가스터빈 출구 유동해석 결과를 보면 축방향 속도가 가장 크게 나타나는 곳이 원형 덕트의 벽면 측이고 난류운동에너지와 소산율이 크게 나타나는 곳이 속도 구배가 급격한 곳으로 축방향 속도가 최대가 되는 곳과 차이가 있다. 본 연구에서는 HRSG 입구영역에서의 난류 성분을 가스터빈 출구 유동을 계산 한 결과를 이용한 경우와 난류강도를 속도의 10%를 이용하고 원형 덕트의 직경을 특성 길이로 사용한 두 가지 경우에 대하여 유동해석을 통하여 유동 특성을 비교하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 HRSG 입구 유동 경계조건은 반드시 난류성분이 올바르게 적용되어야 HRSG 유동 특성 해석의 정확성을 기할 수 있음을 알았다.

  • An experimental study of decaying swirl air flow has been obtained by tangential inlet in a straight tube with Reynolds number range 20,000~40,000. The friction factor, swirl angle, velocity profiles and turbulent intensity are measured by using micro-manometer and hot-wire anemometer. It is found that the swirl flow behaviors depend on the swirl intensity along the test tube.

슬러지 제거용 고압분사 노즐특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Spray Characteristics for Sludge Removal Nozzle with High Pressure)

  • Water jet trajectories and velocity deficits from a high pressurize nozzles were experimentally observed. In this article, several parameters affecting plugging and erosion onto the steam generator tube were quantitatively analyzed. Visualization, velocity distribution, and spray growth rate with different nozzle configurations have been mainly focused using a 2-D PDPA (Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) system. The results indicated that trajectories along the centerline regardless of their momentum has its potential core region. However, the phenomena from the peripheral part need to be meticulosly considered. Accordingly, it is evident that quantitative velocity deficits at the outer region are outstanding due to the aerodynamical drag and entrainment.
