환경영향평가 개선을 위한 무인항공기 기반의 산림공간정보 활용 방안 연구 (Study on Application Plan of Forest Spatial Informaion Based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle to Improve Environmental Impact Assessment)

  • UAVs are unmanned, autonomous or remotely piloted aircraft. As UAVs become smaller, lighter and more economical, their applications continue to expand. Researches on UAVs in the field of remote sensing show development methods and purposes similar to those on satellite images, and they are widely used in studies such as 3D image composition and monitoring. In the field of environmental impact assessment(EIA), satellite information and data are mainly used. However, only low-resolution images covering long distances and large-scale data allowing for rough examination are being provided, so their uses are seriously limited. Therefore, in this paper, we construct spatial information of forest area by using unmanned aerial vehicle and seek efficient utilization and policy improvement in the field of environmental impact assessment. As a result, high-resolution images and data from UAVs can be used to identify the location status of SEIA, EIA, and small scale EIA project plans and to evaluate detailed environmental impact analysis. In addition, when provided together with infographics about Post-environmental impact investigation, it was confirmed that the possibility of periodic spatial information construction and evaluation can be used throughout the entire project contents and project post-process.In order to provide sophisticated infographics for the EIA, drone photography and GCP surveying methods were derived.The results of this study will be used as a basis for improving high-resolution monitoring and environmental impact assessment in the forest sector.

  • 작황 모니터링에서 바이오매스의 정확한 평가를 위해서는 정확하고 신속한 작물 생육 상황 등 현장자료의 확보가 필수적이다. 또한, 바이오매스의 평가는 작황 모니터링 및 수확량 예측에 활용된다. 무인기 영상은 작물의 성장에 따라 빠르게 수집할 수 있기 때문에 정밀농업에서 포장내 공간변이 파악 및 분석에 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 원격탐사 기술을 이용한 동계작물 바이오매스 평가 방법 개발을 위하여 식생지수($E{\times}G$)에 의한 식생 피복률(VF)과 작물 표고 모형(CSM) 기반의 초고(PH)를 이용하여 보리와 밀을 대상으로 바이오매스 평가 모델을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 식생 피복률, 초고 및 상호작용 항을 독립변수로 하여 다중 선형 회귀 모델을 구축한 결과, 5가지 품종의 결정계수는 0.84~0.99로 나타났으며, 보리와 밀의 결정계수 및 평균 제곱근 오차는 각각 0.91, 0.90 및 102.09, $110.87g/m^2$으로 나타났다. 따라서 무인기 영상을 활용한 동계작물의 바이오매스 평가 및 작황 모니터링이 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

  • Dual-channel Radiometers for Earth and Atmosphere Monitoring (DREAM) is the Korean first spaceborne microwave radiometer which is the main payload of Science and Technology SATellite-2 (STSAT-2). STSAT-2 will be launched by Korea Space Launch Vehicle-l (KSL V-I) at NARO Space Center in Korea in 2007. DREAM is a two-channel, total power microwave radiometer with the center frequencies of 23.8 GHz and 37 GHz. The spaceborne radiometer is composed of an antenna unit, a receiver unit, and a data acquisition/processing unit. The bandwidths of radiometer are 600 MHz at 23.8 GHz and 1000 MHz at 37 GHz. The integration time of two channels is 200 rns. The sensitivity of DREAM is less than 0.5 K. This paper presents the required performance and system design of DREAM in detail.

  • Airborne laser scanning thechnology has been studied in many applications, DSM(Digital Surface Model) development, building extraction, 3D virtual city modeling. In this paper, we will evaluate the possibility of airborne laser scanning technology for transportation application, especially for recognizing moving vehicles on road. First, we initially segment the region of roads from all LiDAR DATA using the GIS map and intensity image. Secondly, the segmented region is divided into the roads and vehicles using the height threshold value of local based window. Finally, the vehicles will be classified into the several types of vehicles by MDC(Minimum Distance Classification) method using the vehicle's geometry information, height, length, width, etc

다중 원격탐사 플랫폼 기반 곰소만 갯벌 정밀 지형변화 연구 (Precise Topographic Change Study Using Multi-Platform Remote Sensing at Gomso Bay Tidal Flat)

  • 이 연구에서는 무인항공기, LIDAR, TanDEM-X 자료 기반 DEM을 사용하여 곰소만 갯벌의 다년간의 지형 변화를 분석하였다. LIDAR 기반 DEM은 2011년 국립해양조사원에서 관측한 유인항공기 관측 자료를 활용하였으며, TanDEM-X 기반 DEM은 2015년 6월 영상을 활용하여 제작된 자료를 사용하였다. 무인항공기 자료는 주진천을 중심으로 만 바깥쪽에 위치한 고창군 만돌리 해안의 갯벌지역인 KM 지역과 하전리 연안의 갯벌지역인 KH 지역을 대상으로 각각 2019년 5월과 8월, 2018년 4월과 2019년 5월에 관측한 영상을 DEM으로 제작하여 비교하였다. KM 지역에서는 2011년에서 2019년 8월 사이에 평균 0.24 m 의 표고가 감소하였고, 셰니어가 육지 쪽으로 약 130 m 후퇴하였다. KH 지역에서는 연구 기간인 2011년에서 2019년 5월 사이에 평균 0.16 m의 표고가 증가하였다. 다중 플랫폼에 기반한 원격탐사 자료를 활용을 통해 갯벌의 정밀한 지형변화를 연구할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Artificial Neural Network-based Model for Predicting Moisture Content in Rice Using UAV Remote Sensing Data

  • The percentage of moisture content in rice before harvest is crucial to reduce the economic loss in terms of yield, quality and drying cost. This paper discusses the application of artificial neural network (ANN) in developing a reliable prediction model using the low altitude fixed-wing unmanned air vehicle (UAV) based reflectance value of green, red, and NIR and statistical moisture content data. A comparison between the actual statistical data and the predicted data was performed to evaluate the performance of the model. The correlation coefficient (R) is 0.862 and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) is 0.914% indicate a very good accuracy of the model to predict the moisture content in rice before harvest. The model predicted values are matched well with the measured values($R^2=0.743$, and Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency = 0.730). The model results are very promising and show the reliable potential to predict moisture content with the error of prediction less than 7%. This model might be potentially helpful for the rice production system in the field of precision agriculture (PA).

차량 내 무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 충돌 검출 및 해결 프로토콜 (Collision Detection and Resolution Protocol for Intra-Vehicle Wireless Sensor Networks)

  • 차량 내 수 많은 센서 노드들이 무선 데이터를 전송할 때 충돌을 검출하고 해결하기 위한 매체접속제어 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안 프로토콜은 데이터 전송 시작 후 랜덤하게 충돌 검출 슬롯을 하나 선택하여 전송을 잠시 멈추고, 해당 채널을 센싱하여 다른 노드와의 충돌 여부를 에너지 레벨과 jam 신호 검출을 통하여 확인한다. 제안 방안은 이러한 충돌 검출 과정을 여러 번 수행함으로써 각 충돌 검출 단계에서 충돌을 인지한 노드는 걸러지고, 다음 단계에서는 살아남은 노드만 경쟁을 계속하여 충돌 해결 확률을 획기적으로 증가시킨다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 다수의 충돌 검출 단계를 사용한 제안 방식이 기존 경쟁 프로토콜보다 우수한 처리율을 갖는다. 또한 충돌 검출 단계의 개수와 충돌 검출 슬롯의 개수에 따라 제안 방안의 성능 변화를 살펴보고 최적 파라미터를 도출하였다.

Characterizing the ac-dc-ac Degradation of Aircraft and Vehicle Organic Coatings using Embedded Electrodes

  • Embedded sensors were used as an in-situcorrosion-sensing device for aircraft and vehicular structures protected by organic coatings. Results are presented changes associated with a standard Airforce aircraft coating and a standard Army vehicle coating were monitored by embedded sensors. These coatings consisted of a polyurethane topcoat and an epoxy primer, however are formulated to provide different characteristics. The ac-dc-ac testing method was used to accelerate the degradation of these coatings while being immersed in a NaCl medium. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and electrochemical noise measurement experiments were used to monitor the induced changes. A comparison of the results between coatings subjected to the ac-dc-ac exposure and coatings subjected to only constant immersion in the NaCl medium is presented. The results were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ac-dc-ac method at accelerating the degradation of an organic coating without observably changing the normal mechanism of degradation. The data highlights the different features of the coating systems and tracks them while the coating is being degraded. The aircraft coating was characterized by a high-resistant topcoat that can mask corrosion/primer degradation at the primer/substrate interface whereas the vehicle coating was characterized by a low-resistant topcoat with an effective corrosion inhibiting primer. Details of the ac-dc-ac degradation were evaluated by using an equivalent circuit to help interpret the electrochemical impedance data.

Energy and Air Quality Benefits of DCV with Wireless Sensor Network in Underground Parking Lots

  • This study measured and compared the variation of ventilation rate and fan energy consumption according to various control strategies after installing wireless sensor-based pilot ventilation system in order to verify the applicability of demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) strategy that was efficient ventilation control strategy for underground parking lot. The underground parking lot pilot ventilation system controlled the ventilation rate by directly or indirectly tracking the traffic load in real-time after sensing data, using vehicle detection sensors and carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) sensor. The ventilation system has operated for 9 hours per a day. It responded real-time data every 10 minutes, providing ventilation rate in conformance with the input traffic load or contaminant level at that time. A ventilation rate of pilot ventilation system can be controlled at 8 levels. The reason is that a ventilation unit consists of 8 high-speed nozzle jet fans. This study proposed vehicle detection sensor based demand-controlled ventilation (VDS-DCV) strategy that would accurately trace direct traffic load and CO sensor based demand-controlled ventilation (CO-DCV) strategy that would indirectly estimate traffic load through the concentration of contaminants. In order to apply DCV strategy based on real-time traffic load, the minimum required ventilation rate per a single vehicle was applied. It was derived through the design ventilation rate and total parking capacity in the underground parking lot. This is because current ventilation standard established per unit floor area or unit volume of the space made it difficult to apply DCV strategy according to the real-time variation of traffic load. According to the results in this study, two DCV strategies in the underground parking lot are considered to be a good alternative approach that satisfies both energy saving and healthy indoor environment in comparison with the conventional control strategies.

멀티콥터의 효율적 멀티미디어 전송을 위한 이미지 복원 기법의 성능 (Performance of Image Reconstruction Techniques for Efficient Multimedia Transmission of Multi-Copter)

  • 본 논문에서는 무인항공기인 방송용 멀티콥터를 이용한 Full-HD급 이상 화질의 이미지를 효율적으로 전송하기 위해 이미지 압축 센싱 기법을 적용하고, Sparse 신호의 효율적 복원을 위해 Turbo 알고리즘과 Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) 알고리즘의 복원 성능을 모의실험을 통해 비교 분석하였다. 제안된 복원 기법은 압축 센싱에 기반하여 데이터 용량을 줄이고 빠르고 오류 없는 원신호 복원에 중점을 두었다. 다수의 이미지 파일로 모의실험을 진행한 결과 Loopy belief propagation(BP) 기반의 Turbo 복원 알고리즘이 Gibbs sampling기반 알고리즘을 수행하는 MCMC 알고리즘 보다 평균 복원 연산 시간, NMSE 값에서 우수하여 보다 효율적인 복원 방법으로 생각된다.
