네트워크 그래프를 활용한 자율주행차에 대한 인식 분석 (The Perception Analysis of Autonomous Vehicles using Network Graph)

  • 최근 인공지능 기술의 발달에 따라 사용자의 편의성을 위한 기술이 많이 개발되고 있다. 그중 자율주행차에 대한 관심이 나날이 증가하고 있다. 현재 많은 자동차 기업에서 자율주행차 상용화를 목표로 하고 있다. 상용화를 뒷받침할 정부의 새롭고 합리적인 정책 수립의 기반을 조성하기 위하여 뉴스 기사 데이터를 통해 여론의 변화와 인식을 분석하고자 하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 최근 3년간 자율주행차와 유사한 용어가 언급된 뉴스 기사 데이터 35,891건을 수집하고, 네트워크 분석하였다. 분석결과, '자율주행', 'AI', '미래', '현대자동차', '자율주행차', '자동차', '산업', '전기차' 등의 주요 키워드가 도출되었다. 또한, 자율주행차 산업은 자동차 기업뿐만 아니라, 반도체 기업, 빅테크 기업 등 다양한 산업과 융합되며 더욱 빠르고 다양한 플랫폼과 서비스 산업으로 발전하고 있으며, 산업의 융복합에 주목하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 여론의 변화와 인식을 지속적으로 확인하기 위해 SNS 데이터나 기술 트렌드의 지속적인 분석을 통한 인식 분석이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

Automatic Extraction of Route Information from Road Sign Imagery

  • With the advances of the big-data process technology, acquiring the real-time information from the massive image data taken by a mobile device inside a vehicle will be possible in the near future. Among the information that can be found around the vehicle, the route information is needed for safe driving. In this study, the automatic extraction of route information from the road sign imagery was dealt with. The scope of the route information in this study included the route number, route type, and their relationship with the driving direction. For the recognition of the route number, the modified Tesseract OCR (Optical Character Recognition) engine was used after extracting the rectangular-road-sign area with the Freeman chain code tracing algorithm. The route types (expressway, highway, rural highway, and municipal road) are recognized using the proposed algorithms, which are acquired from colour space analysis. Those road signs provide information about the route number as well as the roads that may be encountered along the way. In this study, such information was called “OTW (on the way)” or “TTW (to the way)” which between the two should be indicated is determined using direction information. Finally, the route number is matched with the direction information. Experiments are carried out with the road sign imagery taken inside a car. As a result, route numbers, route number type, OTW or TTW are successfully recognized, however some errors occurred in the process of matching TTW number with the direction.

사진측량법을 활용한 무인비행체의 건축물 균열도 작성 기법 (Photogrammetric Crack Detection Method in Building using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)

  • Recently, with the development of the fourth industrial revolution that has been achieved through the fusion of information and communication technology (ICT), the technologies of AI, IOT, BIG-DATA, it is increasing utilization rate by industry and research and development of application technologies are being actively carried out. Especially, in the case of unmanned aerial vehicles, the construction market is expected to be one of the most commercialized areas in the world for the next decade. However, research on utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles in the construction field in Korea is insufficient. In this study, We have developed a quantitative building inspection method using the unmanned aerial vehicle and presented the protocol for it. The proposed protocol was verified by applying it to existing old buildings, and defect information could be quantified by calculating length, width, and area for each defect. Through this technical research, the final goal is to contribute to the development of safety diagnosis technology using unmanned aerial vehicle and risk assessment technology of buildings in case of disaster such as earthquake.

  • Patents are system to promote the development of industry by disclosing technology. The importance of recent patent is being emphasized. For this reason, companies apply for many patents. And they analyze the patent. Patent analysis helps to protect and foster their technology. Previously this method has been carried out by experts. Expert-based patent analysis, however, has the disadvantage of being time-consuming and expensive. Consequently, we try to solve this problems by developing prediction model. Therefore, this paper proposes a data-based patent analysis method using quantitative indicator and textual information. We confirmed the practical applicability of the proposed method through 1,831 autonomous vehicle patents. As a result, it was possible to confirmed that safety and lane detection related technologies are important.

스마트 제조기술을 위한 테스트베드 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on Building a Test Bed for Smart Manufacturing Technology)

  • There are many difficulties in the applications of smart manufacturing technology in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. In this paper, a test bed was built to aim for acquiring smart manufacturing technology, and the test bed was designed to acquire basic technologies necessary for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. By building a vehicle maintenance lift that can be easily accessed by the general public, PLC control technology and HMI drawing technology can be acquired, and by using cloud services, workers can respond to emergencies and alarms regardless of time and space. In addition, by managing and monitoring data for smart manufacturing, it is possible to acquire basic technologies necessary for embedded systems, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, and big data. It is expected that the improvement of smart manufacturing technology capability according to the results of this study will contribute to the effect of creating added value according to the applications of smart manufacturing technology in the future.

통행거리빈도분포를 활용한 고속도로 기능 평가 개선 연구 (A study on improving the evaluation of motorway functions using Trip Length Frequency Distribution(TLFD))

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an index for evaluating the function of a new motorway using the travel distance frequency distribution (TLFD) calculated using the vehicle travel route big data, and to overcome the limitations of the evaluation through the existing traffic volume. The mobility evaluation index of motorways was developed by applying it to the TLFD data table in 2019. The smaller the value of the mobility evaluation index of the link is calculated, the more it is a link with mainly short-distance travel, and the higher the value of the mobility evaluation index, the more it means a link with mainly long-distance travel. The accessibility evaluation index was calculated through the result of the mobility evaluation index of all motorways developed, and all motorways were grouped into three groups using K-means clustering. Group A was found to exist inside a large city and consisted of motorways with many short-distance traffic, Group B was investigated as acting as an arterial between groups, and Group C was classified as a motorway consisting mainly of long-distance traffic connecting large cities and large cities. This study is significant in developing a new motorway function evaluation index that can overcome the limitations of motorway function evaluation through the existing traffic volume. It is expected that this study can be a reasonable comprehensive indicator in the operation and planning process of motorways.

  • 고속도로는 중장거리 지역 간을 연결하는 자동차 전용도로로 철도 및 항공 수단보다 접근성과 이동성이 우수하여 화물 수송의 중추적인 역할을 담당하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 고속도로를 이용하는 화물수송실적은 차종 구분의 혼재, 개별 화물차량의 화물적재량 파악의 어려움으로 정확한 산정에 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고속도로 온라인 데이터의 분석을 통하여 보다 신뢰성있는 화물수송실적 산정 방법론의 틀을 제시하고자 하였다. 자동요금징수시스템로부터 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 고속도로 구간별 통행실적(대·km/일)을 도출하였으며 차량제원정보데이터와 고속 및 저속축중기 데이터로부터 차종별 화물 적재 원단위(톤/대)를 도출하였다. 본 연구는 기존에 제시되고 있지 않은 고속도로 구간별, 차종별 화물수송실적을 산정하는데 주요 목적이 있으며, 개방식 영업소, 민자고속도로 등을 모두 연계한 수송실적산정방법을 제시하였다는데 기존 연구와의 차별성을 가진다.

객체 인식 모델을 활용한 적재 불량 화물차 탐지 시스템 (An Overloaded Vehicle Identifying System based on Object Detection Model)

  • 최근 증가하고 있는 도로 위 적재 불량 화물차는 비정상적인 무게 중심으로 인해 물체 낙하, 도로 파손, 연쇄 추돌 등 교통안전에 위해가 되고 한번 사고가 발생하면 큰 피해가 유발할 수 있다. 하지만 이러한 비정상적인 무게 중심은 적재 불량 차량 인식을 위한 주행 중 축중 시스템으로는 검출이 불가능하다는 한계점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사회 문제를 야기하는 적재 불량 차량을 관리하기 위한 객체 인식 기반 AI 모델을 구축하고자 한다. 또한 AI-Hub에 공개된 약 40만 장의 데이터셋을 비교 분석하여 전처리를 통해 적재 불량 차량 검지 AI 모델의 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 객체 추적을 통해 실시간 검지를 수행하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 통해, 원시 데이터를 활용한 학습 성능 대비 약 23% 향상된 적재 불량 차량의 검출 성능을 나타냄을 보였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 공개 빅데이터를 보다 효율적으로 활용하여, 객체 인식 기반 적재 불량 차량 탐지 모델 개발에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Security Threat Analysis for Remote Monitoring and Control Functions of Connected Car Services

  • The connected car services are one of the most widely used services in the Internet of Things environment, and they provide numerous services to existing vehicles by connecting them through networks inside and outside the vehicle. However, although vehicle manufacturers are developing services considering the means to secure the connected car services, concerns about the security of the connected car services are growing due to the increasing number of attack cases. In this study, we reviewed the research related to the connected car services that have been announced so far, and we identified the threats that may exist in the connected car services through security threat modeling to improve the fundamental security level of the connected car services. As a result of performing the test to the applications for connected car services developed by four manufacturers, we found that all four companies' applications excessively requested unnecessary permissions for application operation, and the apps did not obfuscate the source code. Additionally, we found that there were still vulnerabilities in application items such as exposing error messages and debugging information.

Self-Driving and Safety Security Response : Convergence Strategies in the Semiconductor and Electronic Vehicle Industries

  • The paper investigates how the semiconductor and electric vehicle industries are addressing safety and security concerns in the era of autonomous driving, emphasizing the prioritization of safety over security for market competitiveness. Collaboration between these sectors is deemed essential for maintaining competitiveness and value. The research suggests solutions such as advanced autonomous driving technologies and enhanced battery safety measures, with the integration of AI chips playing a pivotal role. However, challenges persist, including the limitations of big data and potential errors in semiconductor-related issues. Legacy automotive manufacturers are transitioning towards software-driven cars, leveraging artificial intelligence to mitigate risks associated with safety and security. Conflicting safety expectations and security concerns can lead to accidents, underscoring the continuous need for safety improvements. We analyzed the expansion of electric vehicles as a means to enhance safety within a framework of converging security concerns, with AI chips being instrumental in this process. Ultimately, the paper advocates for informed safety and security decisions to drive technological advancements in electric vehicles, ensuring significant strides in safety innovation.
